The Matrix Franklin Hickory started bubbling after months of installationI installed Matrix Franklin Hickory in November of and by January I started to notice a bubbling in the flooring in one spot in front of my glass sliding doorsI installed it in my dining room and kitchen and that's where the glass sliding door is located next to my dining roomI have a curtain on my glass doorsI went and told [redacted] about it cause it where I purchased itthey said they will let shaw industries know about it and Shaw will send inspectors over to take a lookA week and a half later I hear from [redacted] that my claim has been denied cause we didn't have blinds for our glass doorsThe cause of the bubble is from the sun and we need blinds on our doors instead of curtainsI feel that if the floor cannot handle any kind of sunlight then it should be stated on the box that it should not be in sunlight and with the display and on the outside of the box that this flooring should not have any k

I purchased approxsqftof Shaw's click together Vinyl Plank flooring in a Charleston finish from my local Menards store in Buffalo MinnesotaI installed the floor myself and have installed flooring on my own for yearsAbout months after I installed the flooring it started to buckleShaw sent out one of their inspectors and agreed the floor had issues and the sunlight through a patio door was causing it to heat and distort and cause bucklingShaw denied my claim and said the product cannot be applied in rooms that have direct sunlightI questioned what room doesn't have direct sunlight at some point of the day? Can I only install this in a closest?Their suggestion was to install blindsThis is a poor solution to a product defectAfter Shaw denied the claim I went back to the Menards store I purchased it from and spoke with their flooring department managerHe was aware of a product issue with Shaw's vinyl plank flooring and was told the product was updated to prevent this heat related buckling in August of We both agreed this wasn't the caseWe both walked down the display aisle and pulled newer Shaw Vinyl plank boxes of flooring off the shelfThe new boxes now state on the outside of the box do not install product in areas of direct sunlightThe product I purchased just months earlier did not have this warning on itThere obviously is a known product defect if this warning is now on newer productI request Shaw to stand behind their product which has a year warrantyIf any other consumers are interested in knowing more I can supply the information I have documented and all receipts [redacted] CBuffalo, MN

Shaw will not stand behind their wood flooring They also will not return my phone calls We opened a claim (XXXXXX) on our engineered hardwood floors The finish is coming off and a few boards have splintered The problem is through out the house, not in a single location They sent an extremely unprofessional inspector out and denied the claim They said the floors were damaged due to mid-high levels of moisture When I questioned how/why, the only response I was given is "it's on the report" I have yet to see a report I purchased the same device the inspector used and did not get any reading that was mid-high Everything was completely normal When I called back and let the claims manager know, her response was "those readings are only as reliable as the day it's taken" She still refused to elaborate on why they claimed moisture was the problem We have no signs of moisture issues on any other part of our houseShe now refuses to return my phone calls I've left mu

Engineered hardwood flooring installed in our new construction home has been peeling and splitting We purchased a new construction home in March with new Shaw engineered wood flooring throughout the main living area Within a few months the flooring began peeling and splitting We notified the home builder who came out and replaced the affected boards The installer replacing the boards noted several bad boards straight out of the box were already beginning to split and discarded them After the replacement of these boards, the floor continued to peel and splinter Recently our son was walking on the floor and a piece of wood snagged on his sock and stuck into his foot We submitted another request through the home builder who submitted a claim with Shaw since it was their opinion that this is a manufacturing defect Shaw sent an independent inspector out to the house to inspect the floor and the home conditions I was informed that the ideal relative humidity in our h

Purchased "upgraded" carpet when home was built in Had it professionally cleaned every year and carpet looks years oldVery dissatisfied with the quality of this "upgraded" carpetHave been dissatisfied for years and have tried to get a resolutionUnfortunately, nothing has come of it yetWe have had the carpet professionally cleaned each year and we don't wear shoes in our house, just socksThe carpet still looks gross and something needs to happenI don't have details of the carpet but we built the home through [redacted] in and I'm sure they have everything you're looking for

Carpet Showing Extreme WearPurchased Shaw carpet (Simple Times/City Line) as an "Upgrade" on our new houseCarpet started showing signs of extreme wear after a few monthsI spent months going through the warranty claim processThe installation company came out and inspected itThey escalated it to Shaw who sent out their own inspectorShaw ended up denying the claim citing there is nothing wrongThis is a new neighborhoodI found out that there were homes in my neighborhood going through the same warranty process for the same reasonIts obviously something with the carpet that causes it to look years old after only a few monthsEveryone who visits the house make a comment about itBeing a new home you shouldn't have this sort of problem with brand new carpet

Had Carpet installed in new house, moved in 01-01-Carpet shows signs of wear, especially in traffic areas, that no matter what you do, they are still visible, and the carpet is only year oldThis actually started to show signs at monthsNever had carpet act like this beforeCalled the retailer/installer [redacted] they passed the complaint on to the manufacturer, Shaw IndustriesShaw Industries sent an inspector out to our house, the gentleman was here for about an hour, looking and sampling the carpet and fibers, and also inspected our vacuum cleanerWe received a response/report back through the retailerThe response was that it was a maintenance issue, and was not covered by any warrantyI purchased a carpet rake, and borrowed a different vacuum cleaner, but results are the sameAfter several email conversations with Shaw directly, and asking what did I do or not do, as far as the maintenance issue, they told me to buy a new vacuum cleanerWhich I had explained w

Small spill cleaned up within minutes ruined floorSeams separating throughout houseCorners separating as wellPrevious defect claim filed no res I put sq ft of Shaw versa lock laminate flooring in my house months agoInitially a strange defect appearedI called my salesman, he came to the house and said it didn't look like anything he had seenThe next step was of the Shaw rep to come byAfter several weeks of runaround he finally showed up (late of course)He said the same thingIt took almost two months to get a claim going and an inspector outThe inspector told he saw zero signs of moisture damageThe report then came from Shaw stating it was caused by moisture damage and not under warrantyThey liedTwo months later I started noticing that seams were separating and corners lifting throughout the houseRecently a small spill occurred which was cleaned up shortly afterIt completely ruined the floorNow I have to pull the floor in my entire kitchenBecaus

Three years ago, we had a product called Boulevard(style)/Cool Khaki(color) installed in our home The total bill for product and installation was $It is just my husband and I that live here, we are retired, so our flooring was not "overused" or "abused"I use [redacted] to keep it clean (damp mopping) and yet, after two years, the product began to de-laminateA few of the boards did not lay totally flat when it was installed and would catchEventually they began to chip and finally peel After A YEAR, of working with our flooring store and the Shaw rep, we finally got an inspector out hereOur claim was denied and so the flooring store is going to repair the damages at no cost to usCLEARLY, the fault was with the productWe are thinking of replacing some other flooring, but I will avoid any Shaw product or anything manufactured by any of their subsidiariesNot because all of their products are bad, but because they don't stand behind their productsI know my little voice will not make much difference, but our flooring guy said, "Shaw is the worst" and they rarely honor a claim"There should have been a disclaimer, "Install this product at your own risk!"

Not honoring warranty of a product saying issue of buckling of entire floor is due to water from dog dish I just recieved a denial letter from Shaw stating the reason they believe there is buckling over my entire laminate flooring is from my dog dishI have two dogs both under lbs they could not slobber that much water in years, let alone It wold be almost amusing if it were not such an expensive product that was sold to me as being appropriate for kitchen useIf I cant even feed my lb dog there how can I be expected to complete the daily kitchen functions of a mom? I looked to see if there were other complaints or if maybe my dogs were having water fights while I was at workLo and behold I am not the first to complain of this exact phenomena and not the first to be blamedOthers have also been told that they must have gotten foors wetCome on, Shaw do betterHonor the warrantyDo not sell a product for kitchens that cannot stand up to day to day useAnd use inde

Laminate flooring that is bowing, cupping, chipping, and discolored that we want replaced. We moved into our new home back in February of last year (2016) and have had several issues with the Shaw, laminate flooring installed in our home. We had a large section of the floor bleached by a rug/sunlight, bowing where the sections of laminate come together, and chips in numerous locations. We chose our flooring based on its durability. The flooring was offered through a design company that works with our builder. Since moving in, the issues that we have experienced based on the flooring warranty, should never happen to the floor. Our warranty clearly states that the specific issues we are having should not happen when properly maintained, which it is. We expect the flooring company, Shaw Flooring to take responsibility as our defective floor goes against everything its warranty says. Our floor has a 20-year warranty, but we do not believe the practice of replacing individual planks multi

So back again for a third timeReally!?!?

Difficulty with obtaining assistance with product and warranty servicesIt has been a nearly month processHaving to go through my carpet dealer to reach Shaw Industries regarding two spots of depigmentation on my carpet and a linear red mark that did not wipe off with water and gentle wipingAs instructed by company, my carpet dealer forwarded me instructions via text that I needed my carpet to be cleaned before Shaw could consider anything regarding warrantyI asked the carpet dealer if it was okay to clean it with a home carpet cleaner and he said that it was okayThe stains were still present after cleaning and I informed my carpet dealerHe then told me that the company needed me to have my carpet professionally cleaned by a company that has special certificationI called in **They first told me that by cleaning, the stain protector of the carpeting would be damagedI was quite leery about having it done, but thought it was necessary for ShawAs they were cleaning, ma
