Very dissatisfied with customer service overall, issues with every aspect of getting an account set up and poor communicationMy husband and I started contacting Shaw to set up an account to carry their product in our store back in August In September 2017, we decided on a package for both carpet (which included displays) and hard goods (which included displays) to be delivered shortly afterDuring our conversations with the sales reps, we were made aware of only one hard good display that would be on backorder until the beginning of the year and so that display would be thrown in free of charge since there was no date of when it was going to be available for us
From Oct-Dec 2017, we only received out of the carpet displays and out of the hard good displaysAt this point there was still no communication as to when the other displays would be arrivingWe inquired about the missing displays and were advised that it was going to be January of when we would rec

I spoke with Shaw carpeting last week regarding my year warranty on my carpet that I purchased on Sept16th, I was told that I had a year warranty on my carpet at that time and was asked some information regarding the carpet and also from the purchase receipt from the retailerAfter supplying this information, I told her that I had to have carpet re-stretches done and also several seam fixes during this year periodShe told me that I should not have needed more than re-stretching done during this time period and that due to these ongoing issues I needed to contact the store where I purchased this carpeting from and file a claim with them, obtain a claim number from them, (which they never provided me to this date), and wait a few days for them to get back to me with the next step in the processSo I proceeded to call retailer immediately and was told by them that I should be dealing with the manufacturer Shaw to file this claim directlyI told them I just spoke w

I purchased approxsqftof Shaw's click together Vinyl Plank flooring in a Charleston finish from my local Menards store in Buffalo MinnesotaI installed the floor myself and have installed flooring on my own for yearsAbout months after I installed the flooring it started to buckleShaw sent out one of their inspectors and agreed the floor had issues and the sunlight through a patio door was causing it to heat and distort and cause bucklingShaw denied my claim and said the product cannot be applied in rooms that have direct sunlightI questioned what room doesn't have direct sunlight at some point of the day? Can I only install this in a closest?Their suggestion was to install blindsThis is a poor solution to a product defectAfter Shaw denied the claim I went back to the Menards store I purchased it from and spoke with their flooring department managerHe was aware of a product issue with Shaw's vinyl plank flooring and was told the product was updated to prevent this heat related buckling in August of We both agreed this wasn't the caseWe both walked down the display aisle and pulled newer Shaw Vinyl plank boxes of flooring off the shelfThe new boxes now state on the outside of the box do not install product in areas of direct sunlightThe product I purchased just months earlier did not have this warning on itThere obviously is a known product defect if this warning is now on newer productI request Shaw to stand behind their product which has a year warrantyIf any other consumers are interested in knowing more I can supply the information I have documented and all receipts

Flooring chipping, cupping, popping
Hwdanner color hazlenut flooringPlaced in custom house completed march House built by *** *** of *** *** We have had issues for two years with popping cupping, chips, splintersAn independent inspector was hired by shawHe inspected on march 9th, Shaw disavowed any responsibilty, claiming popping was due to installationFurthermore they claimed splinters and chipping were and should be covered with a marking pen*** *** srClaims Manager, stated this in writing The consumer should not be required to cover product flaws with marking pens, particularly considering we are 65+ and 70+ years old, especially since consumer is not aware of this requirement prior to purchasing product

Carpet Showing Extreme WearPurchased Shaw carpet (Simple Times/City Line) as an "Upgrade" on our new houseCarpet started showing signs of extreme wear after a few monthsI spent months going through the warranty claim processThe installation company came out and inspected itThey escalated it to Shaw who sent out their own inspectorShaw ended up denying the claim citing there is nothing wrongThis is a new neighborhoodI found out that there were homes in my neighborhood going through the same warranty process for the same reasonIts obviously something with the carpet that causes it to look years old after only a few monthsEveryone who visits the house make a comment about itBeing a new home you shouldn't have this sort of problem with brand new carpet

Our new home was purchased a little over two years ago and included Shaw hardwood flooring Within three months of moving in our manufactured wood floors began splintering They continued to do this for months before we notified the installer of the multiple defects The installers filed a claim, and an "independent" evaluator came out to inspect the floors They deemed the defect not the responsibility of Shaw and that we needed to get a home humidifier to prevent the splintering We did this, and the floors continued to splinter We now have a major defect in our floor, about 5-inches long and 4-millimeters deep It is a danger to anyone walking in the house, and we have to keep tape over it to protect people from it The floors continue to splinter throughout our living space and are not only an eyesore, but they are ugly to look at We asked our installers to file another claim with Shaw and they did, about months ago We have not heard anything from anyone Repl

Defective tiles and failed attempt by Shaw to remedyOn 5/3/I had Odyssey resilient floor tile installed in my kitchenAt the installation the installer noticed the tiles were flawed and not meeting properlyCalled his boss and his boss called Shaw who recommended to use caulk between the floor tilesCaulk that was not available at the time and had to be researched and orderedThe caulk was randomly applied because the defects are random causing an uneven floor appearanceNot to mention that the caulk (as ugly as it is) keeps coming outThe experienced installer told us that grout should have been the only installation procedureThe tiles were sold to me as not requiring groutNor does Shaw in their literature require groutThe floor tiles are: Model Odyssey, Maui SAContract NoXXXXX for purchase and installation from *** *** COST: $plus taxPaid through my *** card but a dispute has been registered with *** They have known about this problem

Lack of fulfillment of carpet warranty for stains
I purchased a cream carpet in April There is a ten year stain warrantyWithin one year the carpet began to gray and matt despite following all proper care and using only Shaw productsI contacted the company who I purchased the product from, and they contacted Shaw's representativeThey sent someone out to look at the carpetHe tested a small area of the carpet with a toothbrush and then I was told it was 'wear and tear'I explained that a gray spotted carpet was not wear and tear, and wrote the company five letters with no responseI had to replace the carpet in our hallway, which was the most damaged, but have been unable to replace the rest of the carpetShaw has not fulfilled their warranty stain guarantee

bad batch of carpeting11/i purchased new Shaw carpeting from **, in **the carpeting was installed and doing a acceptance inspection after it was installed we noted and had the installers note that there were snags through out the carpetingwe were told by the installers that this was and that we were to trim them off and after the first two this should stopafter the two week break in period the snags got worsewe notified the installers that the snags were getting worse and it was causing bear spots in the carpetingthey came back out did a inspection and said that we were given a bad batch of carpeting and that they would notify ** of the issuewe did not hear anything back from the installers or ** on the above mentioned issues for a month and a half, at this point I notified ** corporate office to find out the status of my claim with Shaw industries** called Shaw and was told that they have not made a decisionNow on 3/30/I called ** again and was told Sha

Not willing to honor the warranty on a carpetyears ago, I purchased a Shaw carpet for roomsThe carpet name is Extended EscapeI specifically picked out a carpet that was identified with the Pet symbol, because I have cats + dogsFrom the start, any time pet urine touched the carpet, it ruined the areaWe cleaned it as directed, blotting it, not using grocery store carpet cleaners, etcbut it didn't matterThis is also how I found out one of the cats would on occasion spray the doors in the rooms - small drops of urine would hit the carpet and stain itI've had pets all my life and never had carpet react like thisI went out of my way to select a carpet that included a Pet urine warrantyI'm sure I paid more for the carpet with the pet symbol, but I fail to see any advantages to itI've pursued the warranty with the company I purchased the carpet from **All I have gotten is the run aroundFirst, I was told to have the carpet commercially cleaned before they would do

Had new Shaw Floors installed for our new homePeeling at seams started occurring immediately after moving inShaw refuses to honor warrantyAfter spending over $15,on "upgraded" Shaw Floors for our new home (to upgrade the basic Shaw floor, likely closer to $20,spent), we started having quality issues immediately after moving in, which progressed to our floors looking like they are years old in a matter of monthsThe floors are peeling and chipping in the seams across the entire floor (in high traffic areas, low traffic areas and even no traffic areasOnce the pealing starts it progresses even worseRough estimate is that over 25% affectedAfter multiple inspections (including by NWFA certified inspector), which has ruled out anything we could have done to the floors or installation issues, Shaw has refused to even speak to our building contractor much less honor the warranty they keep toutingWhile Shaw refuses to release the NWFA, our discussions with their NWFA i

bucholtz transmission is one of the best & most honest businesses I have used in a long time. they are A 1 in my book.

My transmission started to slip in Early January 2015. The car was taken to Bucholtz and they had it for 2 weeks. Worked fine for a few months. Then it started to hiccup from 1st to 2nd gear. Just a little at first, but got more pronounced. I took it back in August, they had for a full week. Got it back Saturday afternoon as they were closing. As I drove away the hiccup came back. I've talked with Mark, he says " I have no idea why it is doing that, bring it back and we will check it." So back again for a third time. Really!?!?
