Engineered hardwood flooring installed in our new construction home has been peeling and splitting
We purchased a new construction home in March with new Shaw engineered wood flooring throughout the main living area Within a few months the flooring began peeling and splitting We notified the home builder who came out and replaced the affected boards The installer replacing the boards noted several bad boards straight out of the box were already beginning to split and discarded them After the replacement of these boards, the floor continued to peel and splinter Recently our son was walking on the floor and a piece of wood snagged on his sock and stuck into his foot We submitted another request through the home builder who submitted a claim with Shaw since it was their opinion that this is a manufacturing defect Shaw sent an independent inspector out to the house to inspect the floor and the home conditions I was informed that the ideal relative humidity in our h

Shaw refuses to honor its pet urine stain warranty on newly purchase carpet
