I would like to take this opportunity to post a review in regards to my wonderful experience with Summer Breeze Roofing of Largo, Florida. Hiring a roofing company can be sometimes overwhelming to a homeowner, and even more challenging when you are a Realtor, trying to sell a home and you need inspections and/or repairs to satisfy a Buyer's request, all before the closing date! My initial phone call was answered and responded to promptly. Eddie, with Summer Breeze returned my call for a site visit within 24 hours and was out the following day. He checked the roof to determine life left on the shingles, made a repair to a plumbing stack and checked the condition of the flat roof. Right on the spot, Eddie wrote up a work order, made notes of his discoveries and supplied photos of the areas checked, as well. He was professional and courteous to myself and my clients (the homeowners). I highly recommend Summer Breeze Roofing for all your roofing needs.

When I originally contracted with them it was just before their business partner died. In the beginning I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt while they reorganized the business.
The original date for the roof install was Monday DEC 14 2015. The son went on vacation before the paperwork was finalized and he said his dad would drop by to finish it. I took a week off of work to be here for this. No dad and no workers on DEC 14. Tuesday night we finalized paperwork. He said that he would try and have someone out in the next day or two to start pulling the roof off. By Friday no workers. We were then promised that they would start Saturday. Saturday no workers (I was told by a member of the crew the weekend before Christmas they all had family plans and didn't want to work). Absolutely no calls to the client to explain the delays and we had to keep calling them for statuses. Monday 21 Dec had crews finally arrive and I had to take a second week off of work.
I had requested that two bathroom fan roof vents be installed. I did not realize that they also came in versions that did not have the hose mounting collar installed. My bad, I got what I asked for not what I wanted. The son and I had gone over where they were to be installed and also showed the foreman. The first one did not get installed where we had discussed and had to be installed at a location that they hadn't roofed yet. The second one only got installed due to me going on the roof and reminding the crew.
Their rubbish trailer ended up overfull and they had to rent a home depot backup trailer due to lack of planning for the one truck that could haul it to the dump.
The final clean-up was after dark and how do you find most of the nails then?
One of the selling points was the son telling me that they would install a small peak at the chimney to channel water away from it. The dad later during the roof install said they don't normally do that and they just installed a small metal channel to route water away. With all the repair attempts now there is nothing up there to redirect the water. The company does not seem to be fully up to speed on current building codes. When the building inspector finally inspected the roof he said that the chimney flashing was not up to code and would have to be redone. After the crew finally showed up to redo the chimney flashing they left all their supplies and trash in the front yard. After a week when we called to ask if they were done they did respond quickly to remove it.
In late May we realized that stains were appearing around the ceiling at the chimney. They checked it out and promised that they would have a crew out 13-14 June to redo the chimney flashing. We had a family emergency and were out of town the next week but the house sitters said no one came by. We called and they promised that they would be out Wed or Fri at the latest. We called again Friday when no one showed up and they promised that a crew would be out Sat 2 Jul (4th of July weekend and once again holiday weekend and no crew or phone call). Absolutely no communication with the client to let them know about all these delays and the new roof is still leaking.
Again a repair crew was scheduled to show up on a Saturday and again no show. Finally got hold of someone and they promised that the crew was on the way. What we did get is someone to finally show up, take one look at the roof, and say his crew would be out Monday.
After 2 more attempts at repairs it finally looks like the leaking has stopped so I decided to take them up on their offer of repainting the dining and living room ceilings that had all the leaks around the chimney. We set up an appointment on 6 Jan 2018 to do the ceiling painting. On Friday 5 Jan we called to confirm our 0830 appointment and were assured that a crew would be there.
So here we are 2 years later at 1200 6 Jan 2018, NO CREWS, NO COMMUNICATION

It has been literally 2 year, and they are not done, inspected said it was not up to code, they came out, after standing us up 4 times. Never again!

I hired Summer Breeze to replace my flat roof. They were very competitive and total price was as quoted. They quote with everything included, with no hidden cost. This way you don't end up with surprises after the work is done. They were the only company that quoted in this manner. Everyone was very professional, and polite. Eddie is very reliable and will do whatever is needed to make the customer happy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I hired Summer Breeze roofing to replace my roof in Safety Harbor. It's a very large roof, two stories at some places, different elevations, pitches etc I was very surprised and of course happy they were able to complete the job in two days from beginning to end. They stripped it down to the bone and put on a nice new kind of shingle that I really like. After the very bad rainstorms we had there was a slight leak so I called them and they came out a few times to try to find the source of the problem but then brought a crew out and replace the whole section that may have caused the problem. So they sure went above and beyond. I was pleasantly surprised they stood by their work and warranty. I would definitely recommend this company.
