I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not satisfied with the proposed "Glowcard" because I was promised on several occasions by your representatives that I would receive the refund for $23.39 and $52.65, totaling $76.04, and I have received neither.
Furthermore, the reason I had cancelled my membership (which I had for several months, if not years at the Dubuque, IA location) was because I became disabled and could no longer drive nor go tanning.  I am covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act and find this entire business appalling at this point.
I would like a refund check issued to me in the amount of $76.04 sent to my home address or I will be taking this issue to a higher authority.
I have attached both my July statement of record showing the refunds were never credited to me as this business is stating, but that they had charged me the $23.39 for the July month membership (which needs to be credited), and also my last transcript with the online chat representative stating that I would receive the refund within 7-10 business days which took place on 10/1/14 (22 days ago and nearly 5 months since my original refund request on 7/7/14)

Thanks again for taking time to respond.  As I mentioned, the debit card used for my transaction with Sun Tan City was canceled and it can not be used for a refund.  Please let me know your plan for refunding the $196.90.  Can you mail a check to my home address?

I have received the complaint from Ms. [redacted] regarding her membership purchase with Sun Tan City.
 
On December 26th, 2014 Ms. [redacted] purchased a month to month open-ended agreement that allowed her once a day tanning services at our Brewer location for $19.99 per month plus tax. Per the...

membership agreement that was signed in the salon by Ms. [redacted], all Sun Tan City memberships require at least one automatic payment before the client is able to cancel the membership and there are no refunds for unused services.
 
On May 1th, 2015 the automatic payment for Ms. [redacted]’s monthly membership processed and was approved. On that day, Ms. [redacted] contacted the Customer Service Department inquiring why she was billed for her monthly membership and stated she would like a refund for the payment. On this same day Ms. [redacted]’s membership was terminated to avoid any further monthly membership payments. A glow card was submitted in the amount of $87.96 for the payment’s that processed since February 1st, 2015. The Glow Card works just like a gift card and can be spent just like cash at any Sun Tan City location.
 
Loyal customers are the key to any company’s success so it is my hope that Ms. [redacted] will continue to utilize our services. I have appropriately noted Ms. [redacted]’s concerns and have forwarded them to the proper management team to ensure they are addressed.

On February 4th, 2015 Ms. [redacted] purchased a month to month open-ended agreement that allowed her once a day tanning services at our Sun Tan City locations for $22.99 per month plus tax....

Since Sun Tan City does not refund for unused services, as agreed upon in the membership agreement, Sun Tan City can issue a Glow Card for the unused month of March. This Glow Card works just like a gift card and can be used for anything at any Sun Tan City location. The Glow Card will be sent to Ms. [redacted]’s via email to the email address provided on her Sun Tan City account.
Loyal customers are the key to any company’s success so it is my hope that Ms. [redacted]’s will continue to utilize our services. I have appropriately noted Ms. [redacted]’s concerns and have forwarded them to the proper management team to ensure they are addressed.

I have received the additional response from Ms. [redacted] regarding her Glow Card request.
Our records indicate Ms. [redacted] received her Glow Card in the amount of $25.29 on March 27th, 2015 to the email address listed on her Sun Tan City account. 
To date, if Ms. [redacted] has not been able to locate her Glow Card in her email we would advise her to contact our Client Services Department at 270.765.7400 to have this resent to an updated email address.
It is our hope that we have fully resolved Ms. [redacted]'s issue.

I was told by an online chat agent and a rep in the store that I should of only been charged $5 and that's all there system showed I was charged. If I could send them a copy of my bank statement showing I was charged $29 then they will refund the $29. I have the print out of the agent chat. I sent her the information and now this man says they don't refund and I need to call my bank. That ridiculous. The $5 came out a day before the $29. If you can deduct random charges from my account you can put those same funds back. I satisfied my end of this agreement and I can tell you I will make sure that on every social media platform people know how crooked this company is.

per month plus tax. Per the membership agreement that was signed in the salon by Mr. **. [redacted], all Sun Tan City memberships require at least one automatic payment before the client is able to cancel the membership and there are no refunds for unused services. As of October 7th, 2015 **. [redacted]’s membership with Sun Tan City was terminated. We have issued Mr. **. [redacted] a refund, back to the credit card on file.Loyal customers are the key to any company’s success so it is my hope that **. [redacted]’s will continue to utilize our services. On August 27, 2014 Ms. [redacted] purchased a month to month open-ended agreement that allowed her once a day tanning services at any of our Sun Tan City locations for $59.99 per month plus tax. Per the membership agreement that was signed in the salon by Ms. [redacted], all Sun Tan City memberships require...

at least one automatic payment before the client is able to cancel or freeze their membership and there are no refunds for unused services.
On October 30th, 2014 Ms. [redacted] froze her account via her My Sun Tan City account. As explained on the website when this action is taken, your payments are reduced to $5 each month and you can have it frozen for as long as you need. You would be guaranteed the pricing you froze your membership at with no enrollment cost. Once you reactivate your membership you would receive all of your $5 payments back to your Sun Tan City account as an in-store credit. The in-store credit would not expire and you would redeem this for anything such as products, upgrades or even towards your next month's payment. We do not show from our records that Ms. [redacted] cancelled her account to avoid any further payments after the freeze took place on October 30th, 2014 until the cancellation took place on My Sun Tan City.  What we can do for Ms. [redacted] is submit for a Glow Card request for the freeze credits of February. This Glow Card works just like a gift card and can be used for anything at any Sun Tan City location. The Glow Card will be sent to Ms. [redacted]s account via email to the email address provided on her Sun Tan City account. This Glow Card will be for the four months that Ms. [redacted] was charged the $5.00 totaling the amount of $20.00.

The District Manager of the Platteville location issued Ms. [redacted] a refund.  Loyal customers are the key to any company’s success so it is my hope that Ms. [redacted]’s will continue to utilize our services. Per the membership agreement that was signed in the salon by Ms. [redacted], all Sun Tan City memberships require at least one automatic payment before the client is able to cancel the membership and there are no refunds for unused services. As of May 1st, 2016 Ms. [redacted]’s membership with Sun Tan City was extended. Per the document that we have on file for Ms. [redacted], April was her first required payment. Ms. [redacted]’s payment date has been adjusted to 07/01/2016. Loyal customers are the key to any company’s success so it is my hope that Ms. [redacted] will continue to utilize our services. I have received the response from Ms. [redacted] regarding her refund request from Sun Tan City.
As stated previously, our records indicate that Ms. [redacted] was refunded the $52.65 on July 8th, 2014. This refunded was credited back to the clients billing information listed on her Sun Tan City account to a card ending in 9852. In addition, Ms. [redacted]’s second refund in the amount of $23.39 was approved and sent to her in form of a check on November 7th, 2014.
We advise Ms. [redacted] to contact her financial institution that provides her with the card ending in 9852 to discuss the credit Ms. [redacted] states she has not received.
I have also appropriately notes Ms. [redacted]’s concerns and have forwarded them to the proper management team to ensure they are addressed.
