I am so happy that I chose to go with Sunlight Contractors. They were very professional, supplied me with all kinds of educational materials, got me on the calendar quickly, and did the job expertly. After getting our new foam insulation, we felt the temperature difference in our house quickly, and our air conditioning doesn't kick on as often. While researching roof insulation installers in my area, I ran across some videos with Corey and felt thar Sunlight was right for the job. They responded to my initial email within 36 hours and set up an in home accessment within days. They showed up on time and that day Ira *** gave me an over view of the job and an estimate. They set up my insulation job within a week. Everyone involved was very courteous and did a very fine professional job. They also cleaned up after the job so you could not tell they had been there. Very professional, very courteous, very prompt. And most important very knowledgable about the work.

We chose Sunlight Contractors based on the excellent reviews posted on both Google’s and Angie’s List’s websites. We were able to schedule an appointment with them to come out the next day to discuss the scope of work, which consisted of open cell spray foam in the attic, cellulose in the walls and closed cell spray foam on the subfloor of a newly built house. I could tell right away from the first appointment that this company is a leader in this field. The master installer was very knowledgeable about the product, was very thorough in his explanation of the process and of the pros and cons that each option would have to achieve the desired results for our home. The estimate we received later that day via email was very detailed and included State code standards, links to various third-party websites to verify their licenses and credentials (as well as those of other companies in the industry) and an attachment to further educate ourselves on the product. It was apparent that this company not only knows their stuff, but also takes pride in their business and reputation. After we hired them, they were able to come out the following week to perform the work. They were very flexible in their schedule as we had an unexpected delay of another craft and Sunlight was able to accommodate that work-around without a problem. They covered the necessary items in the house so that they would not be damaged by the work being done and they cleaned after themselves at the end of both days. They later came out to perform the infrared inspection to ensure that the job was of the quality that they expect of themselves. All in all, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend using Sunlight Contractors for your insulation needs.

We were looking for the right company to foam underneath our home. We had appointments with 5 companies that specializes in foam. Out of the 5, 3 were on time for their appt. Sunlight Contractors were the only company that measured the amount of humidity that we had under our home which is very important prior to foam being installed which was very impressive. After receiving all the quotes Sunlight was the only follow up that we received. So being reliable and showing that they took pride in their work helped us greatly to make our decision.

We had just bought our house in December when we realized how bad the cupping of the wood floors was. In our inspection report, it was mentioned as pertaining to the moisture under the subfloor, but not as a separate issue. When I tried to google "moisture, subfloor, foundation, lot grading," I mostly just came up with landscaping companies. I had someone come look at our drainage issue and give us a quote. But as I thought about it, I knew that rerouting the gutter drainage wouldn't solve the current issue with the moisture in the subfloors. Finally, one day I googled "subfloor moisture damage". I found reviews for Sunlight Contractors that explained customers' experiences with the exact same problem that we had. I filled out an email form and got a call back right away.
Ira set up an appointment and came by a few days later. They took moisture readings all around the house and showed me the readings. They explained that ideally you want the readings to be around 10% or lower. Reading from the front were fine, but the trouble area with the floor cupping had a higher moisture content. They wrote down the process and explained it step by step. They gave me a verbal estimate, but told me they would email a detailed estimate later that day.
It was more expensive than what I was hoping for, but the steps were explained. When it comes to spray foam, the process may run a few thousand dollars, but there is the drying of the subfloor beforehand, so that the spray foam is not trapping moisture in.
Every day during the process the guys working were courteous and kept us informed, as well as Ira texting or calling.
As they ran the dryers under the house, the wood flooring started to relax. The cupping didn't disappear, but it is much flatter than before.
As a result, our bedroom is quite warm when we run the heat, and the floor is nice and warm. While not a fun expense, this was a necessary expense. We are glad Ira and the team made it as easy as possible.

I recently had spray foam insulation added to my home by Sunlight Contractors. From the beginning, I knew that Ira and his team were the right ones to do the job. His formative experience in the industry, the professionalism of his team, the efficiency of the job, and the final product all contributed to a wonderful experience. Ira knows his stuff better than any installer in the city and I know because I called multiple outfits before choosing Sunlight. My home would surely not be as efficient as it is now had I gone with a different outfit and the care they took performing the job over three days in my home was very rare in the realm of contractors. They didn’t finish the job until they knew I was satisfied. When there were a couple things that needed to be remedied after the job was complete, they came the next day and took full responsibility. Would I use Sunlight again? Wouldn’t hesitate for a bit.

They did a great job on my spray foam underneath my house. Felt a difference right away. They were professional and contacted me after the job to make sure I was pleased. Work was done in under 4 hours. Even when they missed a spot they came back next day to fix. Will recommend them to anyone looking to keep their house insulated.

Sunlight Contractors provided insulation underneath our floor. They did a great job and my floors are noticeably warmer, as well as now being protected from moisture. Each employee I interacted with, from the inspection, to customer service, to performing the work was very professional, punctual, clear communicators, and friendly. I got a number of quotes from different companies, and I found Sunlight to be the most knowledgeable and provided a competitive price. I would gladly use them again.

Sunlight Contractors recently completed the application of closed-cell foam insulation to the underside of my house in New Orleans. From the initial visit for measurements and an estimate, everyone from the company was extremely competent, professional and friendly. Their price for the job was the best of the three estimates I received and their knowledge regarding the process of application and the peculiarities of my particular job were far superior to any other contractor I met with.
The process of the installation was smooth and completed in less time than estimated. The crew as efficient, polite and professional. On completion of the job, the property was left in a cleaner condition than when they arrived. When we woke up the next chilly morning, the house and wood floors were noticeably warmer than before the installation. In all, it was as pleasant and painless a process as I could have hoped for. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunlight to my friends and neighbors.

Updated review: We had Sunlight insulate the underside of our house but, because of a leaking pipe, they couldn't apply the insulation around the leak. We had the leak repaired and Sunlight came back to measure the moisture, place an industrial fan to dry out the area and return again to complete the application of the insulation. Three extra trips to make sure the job was done correctly, and no extra charge. Great customer service!

Mr. Ira, Mr. Allen, and their crew at Sunlight Contractors did a superb job from start to finish! I purchased an older home which had many "DIY" styled repairs that ultimately caused more trouble, so I knew I would need a certain kind of expertise to properly correct these issues. Ira and Allen came out and performed a thorough inspection - detailing what was needed, why, and what my options were. After providing a fair and competitive price, they had a crew onsite the very next day to completely replace the soffit and fascia around the entire exterior of my home and install drip edge to prevent future problems. Ira sent me photographs of the work as it progressed each day, and the crew was meticulous about cleaning and securing their materials each evening. When we ran into unexpected issues, Ira and Allen both went above and beyond to keep me informed and worked with me on the additional cost which was a lifesaver and so very appreciated. The work was completed in a timely fashion and Allen performed a final walk through with me to explain the work and answer any questions I had. Ira and Allen also spoke with me at length about future projects and the order of operations needed to ensure efficiency. The entire crew was very courteous and friendly, and I will absolutely call Sunlight when I'm ready for the next phase of renovations.

These guys were Fantastic. Recently hired Sunlight Contractors to apply closed cell spray foam under our house. Ira and Clayton came out three times prior to the job to inspect, take moisture readings and treat for traces of mold. Immediately after the product was applied we clearly noticed the wood floors sounded less hollow and the overall draft downstairs was significantly diminished. With the recent cool front, we have been able to lower the heat thermostat without losing any comfort quality. Looking forward to seeing how it affects our power bill. Ira and his team are fantastic! We had a severe moisture problem in our raised house. We searched online for a company with top notch reviews and Sunlight Contractors stood out to us. They came out the next day and immediately got to work. Unfortunately, the high moisture in our house had allowed mold to flourish and all our flooring had to be replaced. My husband and I were nervous at the enormity of this job but Ira and his crew knew just what to do. They worked tirelessly for almost 3 weeks straight removing the batt insulation, drying out our subfloor, ripping up the old flooring, laying down the new flooring, installing a whole home dehumidification system and spraying spray foam under our house, in a downstairs office area and in our attic. Ira kept us in the loop with nightly phone calls explaining what his crew had accomplished during the day and their plan for the following day. A little over a year ago, my wife and I purchased the home that we hoped to watch our children grow up in. Just recently, however, we noticed kitchen tiles cracking and laminate flooring warping in our living room. After some online research, I discovered the likely problem: subfloor moisture and potentially mold.
With such a significant potential problem, my wife and I scoured the internet to find the proper company for the job. We soon discovered that only one company appeared to encompass the expertise needed to solve our problem. That company was Sunlight Contractors.
During my initial conversation with Ira, he ensured me that Sunlight would solve our problem. He explained the process needed to remove the moisture and mold from our subfloors so that my family could return to our normal lives. Within two days, Ira sent Clayton to inspect my home. Clayton took moisture readings from under my home and removed insulation to check for moisture and mold on the exterior of the subfloors. His moisture readings were high, very high. Clayton told me that the moisture under my house was the second highest he had ever seen. He also explained to me that my house was covered in mold. Clayton explained his findings to Ira, who warned me that my house was "sick."
Despite these scary diagnoses, Clayton and Ira's demeanor kept my wife and I calm and reassured. Although our problems were serious, Ira assured us that our problems would be resolved. Clayton even provided empathy: suggesting that bad things like this unfortunately happen to good people, but health, family, and God trump all. Clayton and Ira, unlike many others in the industry, were not simply looking for another payday, they were compassionate.
Since our initial phone conversation, there has been a lot of progress on our home. Ira's crew, including Clayton, have 1) removed all the insulation from under my house, 2) sprayed and killed the mold on the bottom of the subfloors, 3) started the process of drying the subfloors with an indirect heater, 4) demolished the interior floors of our home to assess the damage from the interior, 5) sprayed mold on the interior of our subfloors, 6) checked for mold behind the walls (thankfully there was none), and 7) arranged for interior dehumidifiers to dry the interior of the subfloors.
We are still towards the beginning stages of our process, but so far I cannot be any more pleased than I am with Sunlight Contractors. The upcoming work schedule includes continued drying and mold remediation, application of closed-cell spray foam insulation on the exterior of our subfloors, and installing new tile and laminate flooring throughout the house. Thus far, Ira and his crew have done amazing work and have the unique characteristics to keep you calm during dark days. I cannot recommend this company enough. If you have subfloor moisture problems, you do not need to think twice about calling Sunlight Contractors. They will get the job done, and will do so with unparalleled professionalism, courtesy, and compassion.

These Guys are Great!!! Still in the process of finishing the work because during the removal of the old insulation in the attic they came across something that looked like ASBESTOS. They sent samples to a lab and over-night shipped them because of how worried I was. Thank God the test came back NEGATIVE and they didnt charge me for any of the testing or shipping cost! These guys are truly in the business of helping their clients and they will be back to work next week to finish the job and start spraying. THANKS GUYS!
