Sunlight Contractors did an excellent job with our home. We had our 100 year old floors (elevated bare planks, no sub-floor) insulated with closed cell spray foam just a day before a deep freeze in New Orleans. Despite the frigid temperatures outside, our normally drafty and cold home was considerably warmer and more comfortable than prior to the work. Using an infrared camera, a few minor spots of cold intrusion in our floors were noticed. Ira and his team were very quick to come out and add further insulation in each of these spots. They made sure we were 100% satisfied and were very easy to work with and communicate with. Now our heating system is turning on much less frequently, our floors are warm, our house is not drafty, and our historic flooring is well protected from moisture. We are very happy we went with Sunlight Contractors for this job.

A prolonged New Orleans cold spell (Polar Vortex?) prompted me to bite the bullet and address non-insulated floor and inadequate topside attic cellulose. Within two days we had an estimate @ $1.90 / square foot underneath and $1.65 /square foot in attics (both prices lower than other estimates) and prep and installation planned in next four days. The first three days included "hard freeze" warnings taken seriously necessitating running every water source in the house hourly over two consecutive nights. (pipes intact with few close calls--not so for lots of people) Planned foaming was delayed an additional day, because New Orleans was shut down with an ice storm. I was reassured by the company and a double crew was scheduled the fifth day. All's well now with much warmer floors and furnace running occasionally instead of continuously. This company was only one cited on Angie's list. They did a very nice job, courteous, prompt, on time when promised. I'm happy.

Sunlight did a great job spray foaming the bottom of our 2 unit shotgun house. We called in a tight fix when freezing weather revealed how poorly our house held heat. Sunlight got us a quote within 24 hours and performed the job the next day. Great communication and professional service. The house already feels warmer.

Sunlight Contactors was the first company I called for getting spray foam insulation for my subfloors and attic. I initially spoke with Mr. Ira *** who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to fully address all of my initial questions and concerns. For the estimate, I met with Mr. Clayton, who took extensive measurements of the square footage and moisture levels of my subfloor areas (by crawling around beneath my house) and the attic. Also, Mr. Clayton went over the entire spray foaming process. From the removal of the existing insulation, to the application of the spray foam, everything was fully explained. That attention detail was carried over to their work, as it is far more impressive than what the reviews say. Mr. Clayton and his crew arrived on time and the final product exceeded all of my expectations. Sunlight Contractors is a company that embodies an acute attention to detail, while also maintaining a genuine care about their customers’ needs, as if it was their own. Sunlight Contractors did a very satisfactory job with my insulation. Everyone from start to finish was very professional and updated me on the whole process the entire time. Always made sure I was informed and satisfied. I can already feel a difference in the house, the heating/cooling unit does not turn on half as much as it did before. Sunlight Contractors have done an excellent job. Ira continuously answered all of my questions, fully and promptly. My husband went ahead and inspected the attic after the crew finished spraying, and it all looked great, and exactly what I paid for. Perfect job. We had the old installation removed by Corey *** & Clayton ***, who went above and beyond to remove the musky smelling old installation I had up there. Great Attitudes! They worked through lunch, just to make sure everything was completely removed. My husband and I were very pleased to know such an informative and throughout company resides in the New Orleans area!

We had problems with moisture under our raised house. This was causing the wood flooring to buckle and cup in some spots. After reading multiple reviews and researching the best way to resolve the issue we decided to call Sunlight Contractors. We are currently in the middle of the job and everything has been going smoothly. Ira Bosh, the owner has been communicating with us every step of the way. First he and his crew came out and took moisture readings from the subfloor of the house in order to determine if mechanical drying would be necessary. Luckily for us, the moisture levels were under what is required to spray foam. Next, he sent flooring subcontractors to begin repairs on our floors. His crew then sprayed a preliminary coat of Sherwin Williams paint to preserve the wood under our house. Today his crew came back to spray the foam under our house. So far everything is going according to plan and after the whole job is complete, we should have no more problems with moisture. Plus our floors will be insulated, which should help with keeping the house cool in summer and warm in winter.

My husband and I moved into town from out of state and needed some work done on our house quickly so that we could move in. Sunlight gave us a written estimate and installed the spray foam insulation at a reasonable price all within a matter of days. I can't imagine better service. I would recommend them to anyone.

I contracted Sunlight to help me remedy the moisture problems at my home in Metairie; subfloor moisture was warping my hardwood floors and would have ultimately eaten my home from underneath if I hadn't dealt with it. Sunlight came in and assessed the problems, helped me plan for the best method to deal with it permanently, and made it easy to trust them - all while I'm stationed across the country with the military. These guys are true pro's and I'd go with them again anyday.

Just had Sunlight Contractors blow Spray Foam Insulation in my up stairs attic. My up stairs has historically been either to hot in the summer or to cold in the winter. I have been in the attic several times since the install to check on the temperature. I am so impressed with how much cooler the attic is now that we have the Spray Foam Insulation. The upstairs air conditioner is not running all day long like it was in the past. They also had to remove all of the old fiberglass insulation before the install of the Spray Foam Insulation.. The crew that removed the old fiberglass insulation was friendly and did a quick and efficient job of removing all of the old unnecessary nasty fiberglass insulation. If you are considering Spray Foam Insulation for your home or business. I would highly recommend Sunlight Contractors.

We had a great experience with Sunlight Contractors. Our objective was to make our upstairs more comfortable in the summer and winter. Our upstairs has always been a challenge to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Sunlight Contractors came in and removed all of the old unhealthy fiberglass insulation and sprayed new Foam Insulation on the underside of the roof in the attic. My husband and I have visited the attic several times since the install to evaluate the difference in temperature before install and after install. Its remarkable how the new Spray foam insulation keeps the temperature close to the temperature in your home.
The crew was professional, timely and cleaned up after the job was complete. I would highly recommenced Sunlight Contractors.

Getting a quote was easy and quick. We got other quotes but felt more at ease with Sunlight. Ira Bosh was in constant contact with us throughout the whole project. I absolutely loved the product and the service! Everything was very professional. I really appreciated how quick they got my estimate done. I was having an issue with our hardwood floors starting to buckle because of the humidity in the crawl space. This has now stopped since having closed cell foam sprayed under the house. I highly recommend this business!

My name is Jonathan G. and my family loves our vintage home in Luling, LA. From the rough cut cypress to the crystal door knobs. The only problem with vintage is the old utilities, the lack of central A/C, and no insulation. But, I've remodeled, upgraded, intalled A/C and I'm now complete with the new plumbing, gas, and electrical under the house. I first called Sunlight about 3 years ago because the new A/C was struggling in the 170 degree attic. 8" of open cell foam fixed that. I can now work up there without a sweat, and anyone who sees it is jealous, sincerely. Later, I opened my walls and could see the outside light through the old cypress wood siding and sub-floor. I called them back for round two and the house felt even better. Finally, after re-doing all the mechanicals under the house, I got them to give me the closed cell, vapor proofing that finally made it perfect. My A/C loves Sunlight insulators and I love my new electrical bill!!! Hey Ira, now I want ya'll to give me an after... energy audit so we can see the difference in nuisance air flow. I know I will call them agian when I finally change the sheetrock in the bedrooms. On a side note, these guys will remember you better then you can remember them. Also, you can trust them, they tell you why you put which products where and they do what they say. Best money a homeowner could spend!

I called Sunlight Contractors after getting a quote from another company in order to compare prices. I got a called almost immediately from Ira Bosh who provided me with so much more than just a quick number like the competition. He gave me loads of information on the product, local code and the process of proper installation. He never forced his company over the other. He just suggested I did my research which I promptly did. It didn’t take long to see that they (Sunlight Contractors) knew what they were doing and did it well. I had them come in and remove the insulation and even when they found more material than estimated, they honored their quote and did not charge any extra for the additional labor. I truly admire their dedication as they worked in well over 100 degree heat to finish the job in a day. As of the writing of this review, I will have them come back to install the spray foam insulation tomorrow. If the previous experience is anything to go by, I expect nothing but the best experience and a job expertly done.

After one too many months of 500 dollar plus entergy bills I started looking into options to reduce my bill. After researching different contractors I decided on sunlight contractors.
I have been very pleased with the results. They completed the job on the 13th of July and I reserved my opinion for a month so that I could give an honest review on the results.
I could not be happier with the comfort level in my house. I have a/c units that use to run non stop during the summer. Now they are off more than they are on. I put a remote thermostat in the attic so that I could read the temp and humidity on the 1st floor. The temperature has not been more than 10 degrees above the interior temperature since.
The energy usage has dropped considerably, based on the current KW usage my bill will drop more than 200 per month.
The workers were polite, neat and most of all conscientious.
I feel that they have delivered everything that they promised and more. It's not often you can say that!

Clayton, "Spider Man", and Mr. Clinton came to remove our old insulation in the attic for the foam spray insulation to perform at it's best. These guys were Awesome! They were prompt, courteous, and very professional in setting up and removing this huge hose they had to put in the attic. You would have thought it would be a big mess NOT, everything was clean as a whistle and the attic looks great. Mr. Ira came over before the job began while they were setting up and also called to ensure everything was ok afterwards. If you want professional call these guys. Great Job Sunlight!

Sunlight Contractors are an AWESOME crew. They provided excellent service spraying the foam in my attic about 2 yrs. ago saving me a ton in utility costs. I'm selling my home to move out of state and had an inspector hit me for having foam covering the ducts in the attic causing condensation that could cause mold. I called Ira at sunlight and he immediately addressed the situation providing documentation for the inspector proving that it's installed correctly and he also came over the next day with a full crew to evaluate the situation including an AC guy to check my system and guys that checked for mold who removed a lot of the old insulation which was causing the condensation problem. If you want thorough go with these guys, they're friendly, courteous, and very professional.
