Sunrise Pups, LLC Reviews (78)

I found working with Surise Pups to be a great experience. They enjoy what they do and treat you with kindness and respect. I purchased a wonderful Cavapoo named Cooper and he is a delight. I would highly recommend Sunrise Pups to anyone.

Our terms and conditions are clearly stated on our website and must be agreed upon when you check out. I am sorry if you wish that we would warrant the weight of the puppy but we clearly state that we won't and don't.
You did not purchase a puppy with a weight guarantee and we don't do that. I am sorry you are trying to retroactively trying to get something from us because you puppy is a healthy 12 pounds. But like all living things creatures growth rates, weights and over-weight is variable and a product of genetics, diet, and exercise. And since genetics is only part of the equation size estimates are simply that estimates.

Thank you for the love and care you have given your puppy. I hope you continue to love and cherish it. The AKC PAL registration form  will be sent to you for you to, so that if you choose to do so you can register your puppy.
I hope everything else with you is well. Thanks for everything

I straight up asked a professional breeder what the adult weight would be because I am wanting a small little tiny dog. They replied with a very misleading answer and their answer is the ONLY reason I agreed.
Not once did they communicate to me that they are guessing. As for putting it in small print on paperwork is shady as a lawyer. My dog is not heavy, this is not what I am upset about. Its the HEIGHT! This dog standing up on her back legs is over 25 inches tall. I stressed I wanted a small little tiny dog.
Even when I went to this vacant warehouse they sent me too and they only brought 3 dogs which they told me I would be coming to their kennel and be able to view ALL their dogs (again shady) The owner looked right at me when I was holding her when I asked him how much bigger she will get and he replied maybe 2 more pounds.
No matter what this company is going to talk circles around this mess because they are shady. They charged me over $700 for a dog that I dont even believe is a Morkie.

We had a dog that had been a part of our family for 15 years and he passed away September of 2015 and I was not planning on getting a new puppy for a while. My son recommended that I check out Sunrise Pups because he had a great experience with them. I ended up falling in love with one of their teddy bear pups and [redacted] (which is his name now) has been a perfect dog for me and my family. I had an amazing experience with Sunrise and I would recommend them and have recommended them to my friends. Great company and great experience!!!!

I am done with my complaint.  I want other consumers to know what I what they are getting into before they do business with this company.  Please post my review and close my complaint.

I am sorry to hear that your puppy is not feeling well. We have had other people let us know that their microchip was not able to be found by their vet. We have contacted the manufacturer about the defective batch of microchips. We will go ahead and refund you the $30 for the microchip. Keep us up...

What this sounds like to me is that [redacted] is happy with her dog and wants to keep it and it is happy and healthy. This is all positive.[redacted], clearly has signed the attached receipt, What is shows is she bought a Yorkie female.  You can also see that she acknowledges there are no exchanges or...

returns. I am happy to hear that [redacted] has received a happy and healthy yorkie. I am not sure [redacted]'sexpectation of weight, but she received the yorkie she picked out and paid for via [redacted] a 3rd party quick loan for pets. I am including her threatening email that she sent us on 10/20/17. She has called the lending service and received info and has threatened to sue us. Sometimes around Christmas we have people who look back to last year's purchases and try to extract money from us ahead of the next Christmas. What we can do is try to the best of our ability to stay with in our terms and conditions and within our purchase sellers agreement. What is sounds like here is [redacted] want to keep her puppy but doesn't want to pay full price for it post hoc. I am sorry but we don't refund customers and If you notice on the attached invoice that there is Only Yorkie in the puppy type. Also notice that [redacted] has not provided the Revdex.com or [redacted] any weights or her animals or vet records (this would not change the outcome for us) but it would have been better received than an email threatening a lawsuit. What this sounds like to me is that [redacted] is happy with her dog and wants to keep it and it is happy and healthy. This is all positive.Thank you for your business. We aim to do the best we can in providing a great service.  Message I had purchased a yorkie puppy on 2/17/2017 and she was shipped to Arizona. in her description and on the contract from wags lending said she was listed as a Teacup Yorkshire terrier by no means she is not id# [redacted]. she is not a teacup she is axp. 6months and larger than my bichon. I do not want to return her that would be very cruel and she is a part of the family. what I am not happy with is paying her value @$1100.00. if you read section 5 on page 2 Warranties. it states the pet conforms to the description in this lease, and at the top of lease in description of property pet-dog/ breed: TEACUP yorkishire terrier, what I want you to do is a partial refund I am not asking for the full amount, that is only fair conderding you sold me a dog under false pretense. I spoke to [redacted] lending today and received some important information. if I don't receive some response, I will contact my attorney to give him an update so we can settle this matter, and he assures me that you will be refunding the entire amount. I have called and left messages no answer, sent e-mails no response. I think you might think twice about ignoring this one.

Please see the attached paper work from [redacted]. Please note the following items that [redacted] acknowledged  under successful Transition  Successful TransitionTo ensure a success transition there are several things to consider but one thing we feel is the most important isfeeding your...

puppy right away. More than likely he/she will not want to eat regular dog food right away but a greatfirst treat that is packed with good calories is yogurt! Not just any yogurt but a yogurt high in sugar and fat. You canadminister the yogurt with a monoject syringe (needleless). More than likely your specific puppy has already beengiven yogurt by us so they are used to receiving this treat! Here are some other key points to consider:? We know moving is stressful — and your new puppy feels the same way! Give him/her time to acclimate toyour home and family before introducing him to strangers. Make sure children know how to approach thepuppy without overwhelming him/her.? When you pick up your puppy, remember to ask what and when he/she was fed. Replicate that schedule for atleast the first few days to avoid gastric distress. If you wish to switch to a different brand, do so over a period ofabout a week by adding one part new food to three parts of the old for several days; then switch to half newfood, half old, and then one part old to three parts new.? On the way home, your puppy should be safely secured, preferably in a crate. Some puppies find car tripsstressful, so having him/her in a safe place will make the trip home easier on them and you.? Once home, take him/her to their toileting area immediately and spend a good amount of time with him/her sothey will get used to the area and relieve themselves. Even if your puppy does relieve him or herself during thistime, be prepared for accidents. Coming into a new home with new people, new smells and new sounds canthrow even the most housebroken dog off-track, so be ready just in case.? For the first few days, remain calm and quiet around your dog, limiting too much excitement (such as the dogpark or neighborhood children). Not only will this allow your dog to settle in easier, it will give you more oneon-one time to get to know him and his likes/dislikes.__________1.) It is also required by law that the puppy is current on all vaccines to fly. And we have provided both the airline and [redacted] that informationI am glad that [redacted] is taking the necessary and responsible steps now that her puppy has sugar crashed. If the necessary steps were taken and the yogurt given as suggested there would have been no sugar crash. But since there was I hope [redacted]'s vet can help regulate her puppies sugars levels.Sunrisepups has given the required health certificates to United. I am sorry if [redacted] didn't pick them up but she can call united in CT and request all paperwork related to her flight. But we will not be refunding the customer her purchase price. As noted in our terms and agreements which [redacted] has signed. We offer no refunds and we don't pay vet bills. I am sorry she is having some issues but had [redacted] transitioned her puppy with Yogurt as suggested it is likely that there would have been no sugar crash. Thanks again for reaching out and the positive feedback. Good luck with you  and your puppy.

First of all, we were sold a puppy by a company that withheld extremely valuable and important information from us. If we had been told from the beginning that the mother dog had Coccidia as a pup, we would have known how to treat the puppy right away and possibly could have saved us hundreds of dollars and many days of heartache and worry. The first few days were spent just trying to actually figure out what was wrong with her! Withholding the information is wrong and deceitful to your customers and terribly heartless for the sake of the puppy, putting her through unneeded suffering because you didn't want to disclose the fact that the mother had a parasite lying dormant within her and that there was a chance our puppy could have it as well. Second of all: while you say we denied the health guarantee, and I am sure you have the paperwork showing that we agreed to this, you still charged us for the $99 health guarantee and neglected to refund us that amount. Therefore, if we are charged the $99, you kept the $99, the health guarantee is actually still in place, regardless of what is on the contract by fault of negligence to refund said amount. [redacted] is now a healthy puppy, thanks to us, and giving her back for another puppy, only to take a chance on getting another with Coccidia as well would be ridiculous on our part. My argument is that your company is selling puppies while withholding valuable and pertinent information from the buyer....information that could mean the difference between life and death of the puppy and between hundreds to fix or thousands to fix! As you did with a previous complaint, you could have sent us with the $20 treatment for Coccidia as a precaution and told us it was "vitamins", but you didn't even to do that. She was already lethargic and thin and obvious to a trained professional that she had been sick for several days already. My original statement stands and I feel is only fair considering we were swindled into taking a sick puppy off your hands that I am quite sure you would have had to put down with a matter of days anyway because you would not have spent the money necessary to get her healthy...because she was already emaciated and sick puppy when we got her. Unfortunately for us, we are NOT trained professionals and didn't not know this....and you took advantage of us and our lack of knowledge...telling us she was a "love bug"....this was your reason why she wasn't very active....

My girlfriend & I found this puppy online. It is a male Maltese who they had listed as "[redacted]" but change his name & use the same pictures if he is purchased. The dog in the pictures was cute and fluffy. When we went to get him, he was in TERRIBLE condition. His fur was shaved off & matted, his nails were not clipped, he looked like he had not ate a thing, he smelled horrible. It was bad! We took him to the vet he said he looked neglected & also had a double ear infection!! we called to complain but never heard back until we called back pretending to be someone else interested in the dog!!!! These people are sick! We called to ask about the shots and they told us the breeders would not allow us to speak directly to them!!! I would never buy another dog from them again & these pups need to be saved!

On Tuesday June 10, 2014 [redacted] went onto our website and purchased [redacted]. After not
#ffffff;">
being able to find a suitable flight to get his puppy to him by that Friday, Mr. [redacted] decided to drive

to our facility and pick up the puppy in person. A refund was made for the cost of shipping. On Saturday

June 14, 2014 Mr. [redacted] arrived at our location to pick up the puppy that he had purchased. Along

with the puppy that he had purchased from our website, [redacted] was shown other puppies to verify

that the puppy that he was picking up was to his liking. The puppy that Mr. [redacted] paid for and picked

up was never advertised or mentioned in anyway to be registered. However, at the time of pickup Mr.

[redacted] requested that the puppy that he had chosen be registered. After discussing with Mr. [redacted],

we agreed to facilitate the AKC Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL). We filled out the application and mailed it to Mr.

[redacted]. Upon not hearing anything we assumed he had received it. Several weeks later we received an

email from [redacted] stating that he never received the paperwork. We asked him to verify his address so

we could send it again. He responded with a different mailing address than the original address that he

had given us. We resent the application this time to the new address. Upon not hearing back from him

we again assumed that he had received it.

Our latest contact from Mr. [redacted] was an email and a complaint to the Revdex.com accusing us of scamming

him and stating that he had not received the paperwork. We will be contacting Mr. [redacted] and will be

sending him a new application for the AKC Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL).

Attached are documents showing;

1. The invoice generated by our website showing that Mr. [redacted] had paid in full (shows original

address)

2. Proof of refund for shipping cost that was signed by Mr. [redacted].

3. The purchaser/seller agreement signed by Mr. [redacted] stating that the puppy was to his liking

and in good health.

4. The Terms & Conditions of Sunrise Pups LLC that were active at the time of sale (showing that

Sunrise Pups LLC does not guarantee weight or registration of puppy)

5. AKC Purebred Alternative Listing application (PAL)

6. Email chain of communication between Mr. [redacted] and Sunrise Pups LLC.

Hello Lisa,Thanks for the feedback. I am responding the same as I have had a number of times via email and phone. We would gladly pay the $34 dollars that you needed for medications for the ear treatment.
As for the reduced pricing you are requesting, we will not be refunding...

you money for a sale that was not running when you purchased your puppy. You purchased your puppy for $1150, this price included shipping and all the options you had chosen. As you have said we had some negotiations prior to arriving on that amount. You received your puppy and have indicated that you were happy with her, and now you are seeking a refund for a 4th of July sale that you wish you would have been eligible for.
The email traffic on is as follows please note the date June 11th.

I think it is very clear that us offering to pay for your medicine is over and above our terms and conditions. And this will be the extent that we will be offering
As for the fact that we haven't responded to you, we have 52 emails from and to you and I will also attach them to this claim as well.

up to date on how your puppy is doing and let us know if there is anything that we can do to help.

I reject this response I talked to sunrise puppy's and asked it this had papers and was registered. He told me it was a limited registration. I asked what a limited registration was and he said it meant that the puppy could not be shown but other than that is had papers. He never pointed out or said this was an alternate registration. I asked if it was a tea cup and he reassured me that he breeds all his pupil to be no Moore than five pounds. When I arrived we questioned him if this was a tea cup and mentioned that it was already close to five pounds. St that point he took the pup and came back with several others and said he weighted the pup and I wa right and that it weighted 4.5 pounds. I told him my intent for buying the tea cup was to bread it with my tea cup York shire terrier which is 3 pounds. I took the pup because when I bought my tea cup female it weighted almost 2 pounds and it is 3 years old and now weights 3 pounds fully grown. I thought we'll may be this is just a trait of these tea cups they just don't grow much bIgger than at birth. I also asked to see the parents and his response w that no one is allowed in the back because of insurance regulations. I guarantee you if we where able to see the parent it would have been a no brainier this good is not a tea cup. He advertised a tea cup and they are anything but a tea cup. My complaint is that
He is advertising tea cups they are not tea cups. I took his word that this pup and that he breeds his pups to be no more than five pounds, another misrepresentation. I asked if they had papers and are registered he misled me into thinking they had s limited registration which in the recall world of dog breeding means you don't get full registration papers either because the breeder wants more money if you are going to use the dog for breeding or they don't want you to breed the dog and be able to sell the pups as fully registered so you can't get the full value of a registered pup.
I never got the papers he is putting up here that I read. He said I would get these with the papers from the registration. Even if he sent the papers too my physical address and not the PO box there is still would have gotten them in the pO box. I don't have a mail box at my physical address so everything goes to the pO box. If he was honest and upfront he should have said these are not register York shire terriers when I spoke to him on the phone before I decided to follow through with the transaction. Not an alternate breed registration. A tea cup is a very specific term used to describe a dog that is bread to be small very small the size of a tea cup.

I was mislead he misrepresented his dog, dogs, on this website, when I called him before purchase,, and was not forthcoming when I met him in person. I never got any papers when I left after picking up the dog and never got any paper work in the time frame he stated, 3 weeks and then when I emailed him he said he would check on it and still to this date I have not gotten anything. It is very unlike me not to get the papers or any papers when making a purchase but I took him for his word and we had a 14 hour drive back home. Drove down the day before and had to drive back the next day so 28 hours of driving.

His response is unacceptableno matter how he tried to pass this off on me the facts are, Not  tea cup as advertised and no papers this is not a pure breed dog, he mispresented everywhere.

We purchased 2 adorable cavapoo puppies from Sunrise Pups. When we took them to our vet, both were polluted with ear mites. The vet told us that if they had been vet checked at the kennel, this would not have happened. It leads me to question if the puppies are vet checked. I also inquired about seeing the kennel itself, instead of meeting at a paint store (with a room devoted as a showroom for one on one with puppies)- this should have been a red flag when we were not allowed to see the kennel itself

[redacted] and [redacted] were shipped Layla the Yorkie poo they did not want to keep her and asked if there daughter could purchase her. Upon not agreeing to the purchase terms they requested to return Layla. I agreed and told them I would issue a full refund when we received her and our vet...

performed a health inspection of her. I informed them of the rules regarding shipping a puppy. Must be health inspected by the vet, in a crate big enough to sit, stand, turn around, etc. ... After they agreed to return the dog they asked me to arrange shipping. I did so informing them that my cost on shipping is 189 plus tax plus a crate and a health certificate. They dropped off the puppy, choose not to use my account. They didn't call or ask how to do this. The shipped Layla back in the middle of a blizzard she was re-routed 3 times and overnight in Houston. Not one time was I informed of this. I had to find out when I arrived at the airport. Later when Layla arrived the next dayI wrote the following email Dear [redacted],  Layla was shipped back to us in the middle of bad weather. I am not sure if they advised you of this when you dropped her off but they said they did. Consequently she has been from Seattle to Chicago to Minnesota to Houston and is over nighting in Houston. I have been informed that she will arrive tomorrow at 2 obviously her health is my biggest concern. I fear the decision to fly her today has subjected her to much undue stress.[redacted]We did receive a phone message regarding this.  We were told that she was due to arrive in Columbus at 9 p.m. your time.  We were not aware that she was flying all over the country like this.  We were told that there was a 3-hr. delay and she missed her connecting flight which they told us was cancelled anyway.  They then put her on another flight that was supposed to arrive at 9 p.m. your time.  We’ve been worried about her and have been listening to the weather forecasts in your area.  When we took her to the airport she was a ball of energy.  I pray that she’s okay and arrives safe and sound back to you.  Please let us know that she made it okay.  By the way, we were not advised by the person who checked in her about any bad weather conditions.  I don’t know why they told you that but it’s not true. The lady just checked her in and told us to have a nice day.  [redacted] Late when [redacted] and I followed up about this over phone they couldn't understand why it wasn't a big deal that they didn't tell me that she had been re-routed, nor to tell me that she was being over nighted, nor did they check with me if anyone was available the next day to pick her up. After receiving her I found they didn't even have her checked by a vet prior to shipping her back. They subjected Layla to undue stress and put the puppies life at risk when they flew her.  Later when [redacted] and I spoke over the phone I informed him that they could follow up with [redacted] and recoup funds from them but we wouldn't pay over our rate of 189 plus tax. Nor do I feel that I should pay when we as the cosignee were not communicated with or told that any flight patterns were changing. Why did we unnecessarily go to the airport 3 times to pick up Layla, and why if [redacted] contacted you that the flight was changing didn't you reach out to us. We refunded you $1198 back to your card, but you didn't fulfill your end of the agreement and see that layla was shipped appropriately, your indifference and lack of communication in this matter is the reason that we disagree about the liability of the payment. You claim that you didn't know it was a blizzard in Chicago that shut down the Chicago airport, but when you were informed you failed to call or communicate with us. It wasn't until I emailed you much later did you ever respond.Thankfully other than a skin infection Layla checked out in good health. When we were able to treat and get her skin infection under control we refuneded you $1198.

We have sent refund authorization form and are waiting for them to e-sign it.

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.   Obviously we will never agree on things we are being accused of; however, to resolve this matter we are willing to accept payment of $203.17 from Sunrise Pups to finalize this matter.

As you will see in all the attached paper work, [redacted] of [redacted] came to pick up a Havanese named Dash from us. She was upset when she arrived home to learn that the dog is not registered. But yet no where in the paperwork or advertising was Dash listed as a...

registered Havanese. Quite frankly as you see on page 23 of the attached pdf he was specifically marked as non registered. We are sorry that Dash got car sick on the long drive back home to Virginia. But this happens with puppies which is why we offered the fortical as a option if the puppy got car sick. Unfortunately for [redacted] she had trouble finding the way to pay. and had to split her payment across many cards. This usually is a signal of trouble, as there are more expenses with dog ownership than just the purchase. Vet care and supplies are much more costly over the life of the puppy than the purchase price. When it became apparent that [redacted] had trouble paying it was a case where we wanted to retain dash for someone who could afford dog ownership, but [redacted] had a deposit on him and had driven from Virginia so we worked it where she could use a $500 paypal credit as well as splitting payment across store credit cards. In retrospect I wish we hadn't done this. Regardless, when [redacted] was home she "suddenly" realized this puppy was not AKC registered. Dash was never advertised nor was it stated that he was AKC registered. He is beautiful and healthy and one of the most gorgeous dogs that we have ever had, but he was not registered. This was clearly evident in the paperwork. [redacted] signed for him and you can see that signature in the attached paperwork. She also agreed to abide by the terms and condition as stated on our website, which state absolutely no returns or exchanges. We do this for a number of reasons. One, when you are committing to a dog you are committing for a lifetime also when a puppy leaves our kennel we don't know what is has been exposed to or what medical treatment it has had. What [redacted] is asking for in terms of a full refund and us to pay shipping back is outside of our terms and conditions. We will offer to share the professional photos we have taken and have the copyright on so that [redacted] could use them to market Dash should she want to selll him. This way she can charge what she wants to collect her expenses and won't expose Dash to undue travel. We will waive our rights to Dash's photos and she can use them for her benefit. We have attached a few pictures of Dash in the pdf paper work for the Revdex.com to view and I think you will agree he is a stunning dog and these are some of the best pictures of a puppy you have ever seen. A professional photo shoot with print image rights  is valued at $300. So it is our belief this is over and above our terms and conditions and will go a long way in getting [redacted] what she wants, which is money.

I and yes the USDA for does indicate health and wellness. You were also provided well as a written record of the shots schedule. Of course dates in the future you are responsible for. So I have a question, did you puppy pass away? I am confused, because this would fall under our replacement puppy guarantee. But it sounds as if she is doing great. And now you are trying to force US to pay for things that you clearly understood that we don't pay for. When you signed our adoption contract. Thanks for the positive feedback and all your support.I think you understand that you are responsible for all vet expenses. If you still aren't familiar with this policy please review the adoption contract you entered into with us. We truly appreciate your business and your continued support.
