We purchased solar from Sunrun Inc(installed by American Electric Company) and it was paid in full upfront for $20,in April Once it was installed, we immediately noticed a problem since Hawaiian Electric (a.k.aHECO, the electric utility company on Oahu) still charged us a large amount compared to Sunrun's estimateWe had contacted Sunrun several times, but they said the system was running normallyEver since getting the solar installed we've been paying in the $range, happy if it reaches $We frequently called Sunrun because our monthly payments to HECO didn't match what Sunrun had promised usNow for the last three months of 2017, HECO billed us as if we didn't have solarWe contacted Sunrun the first week of Decand informed them the solar was not functioning properly, so they sent someone to check it out on Dec20, who subsequently told us that the inverter is not workingIn our contract with Sunrun, they are supposed to monitor and maintain our sol

Sunrun allowed a tenant at one of my rental properties to authorize the installation of solar panels on my roofThe tenant has moved out of the property, and Sunrun was trying to force me to take over the lease of the solar panelsI want the panels removed and the house returned to its pre-installation condition

I should have gone with another company The installers damaged my roof They had to remove the panels and conduit so the roofer could fix the roof When they removed the conduit, a lot of the conduit was full of water already do to some rain The cost of the roof repairs was over $4, After the roof repairs, and them finally installing the panels, they still damaged a few shingles that have to be replaced prior to our rainy seasonI signed the initial Installment Agreement 11-10- The system tuwas finally on 05-02-17, almost 6-months Not only did the work have to stop for my roof to get repaired, but the installation failed "3" inspections Yes, three (3) inspections I had filed complaints with the Arizona Registrar of ContractorsBirds love gathering and nesting under the Solar Panels Sunrun does not provide any bird barriers Please be aware that other Solar Companies WILL provide bird barriers I think I was told that a bird barrier would cost me another $Another reason I had foolishly chose Sunrun, was that they installed the Solar Edge Inverter With this Inverter, you can monitor the system performance, including solar panels BUT, Sunrun Solar will not allow the home owner to monitor the system performance All you can do is go to the Sunrun web site, and see how much THEY tell you what you are producingMy system was not producing solar power for over days and Sunrun did not notice I was looking online at my production, and there were none I finally called them and they checked and said, oh yeah, it looks like it has been down Maybe we will send someone out in a few days to check it outConclusion: DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH SUNRUN SOLAR

We have solar panels with this company with a guaranteed provided serviceThe solar panels have not been working since May and after repeated phone calls to the company to fix them and they are still down The company is still taking their $a month rental fee out of our checking account every month and not providing a promised service Now we have a $+ electric bill plus their rental fee We are paying for a system that does not operate

my husband signed contract 12/9/altho we didnt know it at the time he has small cell brain cancer, and was mentally impaired at that timei told sunrun about this as soon as I could and ask to be released from the contractthey said noinstallation is still not completeand I have called many many times both sunrun and the installer and untill I wrote a letter on july 19th to the legal dept.asking them to let me out of the contract I had no kitchen lights for monthsthey have days from time of letter to finish installation according to contractbut I dont think I should be held to the contract because of my husbands condition
