This has been by far the worst purchasing experienceI purchased furniture from a furniture store and used this company for third party financingAfter weeks of not hearing an update I contacted the store who then told me all of my items were on back order for weeks and that the had been trying to contact me but Tempoe refused to cooperateUpon contacting Tempoe I was told that my order would be cancelled but I had to pway a can cancellation fee although it was not my fault of the back order, nor the lack of communication between Tempoe and the storeThe agent was ok but the manager was rude and didn't even want to answer general questionsI was making a very large purchase as I would be furnishing my entire houseI will never do business with this company againUtilize all of youroptions peopledThis company is a joke!!

as stated by others every month they indicated their payment would not clear and billed a charge for that and reran it again got paid when there was no change on my part to my accountevery time the funds were available and they did this every month I had a lease with themi paid off the account per the agreement in November now they are trying to bill me again

We purchased products from this company at a furniture store in New Orleans on two separate ocassions and I can honestly say that there will not be a third purchase with them at all! This entire company seemed very suspect from the contract to the lease end We opted for the day same as cash option but when it's time to pay it off, they transfer you to different people who claim the account is being serviced by another dept We get transferred to "the other dept" and they transfer us to the automative system The first lease went ok minus a few of their payment system "glitches." However, this last purchase was as if they wanted us to default so they could reap the benefit of making us pay the buyout costs which would have been over $on a $lease Yesterday, my husband and I had spent the greater part of the day calling them After being hung up on several times, transferred to the automative phone system (which didn't recognize our phone number in their system so a payment couldn't be processed) and being transferred to other depts, I had enough I went ballistic because our lease end was this week and it seemed like they were purposely trying to make us default Also, I tried to make a payment online and it was temporarily unavailable for a week straight Needless to say, I spoke with Kathy who was very helpful after having to get extremely irate She said Matt, the original it did not authorize our payment to be sent to the accounting dept She read his notes and questioned that decision [redacted] I knew, but I made sure that the payment was processed yesterday because I kept checking my bank accountThat's how we found out the original payment was not processed because our bank account was not debited I urge you, do not attempt to do business with this company They are not ethical and they bank on the odds of you defaulting....it's more money for them Also, most of their employees do not know they have a day same as cash program...sad, I know! This is a different calculation from the original month program Again, stay away from this place You will regret it

I have previous purchased merchandise using Whyniotllease it before and had not issues ,made my payments ,did my buy out and all was well, had this been my only experience this review would be good however I recently made a second purchase and it as been a disaster dealing with TEMPO Their billing practices is a complete scam I have been charged $insufficient bound fee on four occasions where the company allegedly processed payments to my bank and the were returnedI call the company, asked to speak to a supervisor to address my issue she took my call allowed me to explain my situation and then hung up on me I have called several time to have my money refunded and the response has been either the supervisor is too busy to talk to me or I wait on the line until I'm disconnectedThis dishonesty need to stop Who is benefiting from the stolen funds

They draft money out my bank account for months after I paid my lease offThey refuse to refund me my moneyI will file a complaintAfter they lied and said they will refund me I call them back about why I haven't received my refund customer service hung up phone on me

In July my girlfriend and I went to KMART to look into purchasing a new televisionThe cashier informed us of the Why Not Lease It Program, which at the time sounded like a good idea to us financially at the timeWe chose a TV with a cost of $We were told that our payments would be scheduled to be automatically debited from our account every weeks in the amount of approximately $We made a Down payment at the register of $which was double what was the required minimumWere told that we would make payments every weeks for months and then would have the option to pay off the remaining balance or to return the TV to WNLIOn September 6, our bank account was hackedWe received an email from WNLI that we had missed a payment on September We called on September 19th and explained that our bank accounts had been hacked and that we were calling to make the missed payment and update our payment information so that they could continue to automatically debit our paymentsThe representative took the new debit card info and told us that the info was updated in the systemShe also told us that there is a day grace period so we would not be charged a late fee because we made the payment within the day windowOn October 4, we received another email that WNLI was unable to process our payment that was due on September 26, We immediately called on October 4, and spoke with a representative who stated that the previous rep had not updated our debit card information and therefore they attempted to debit funds from the card that had been hackedWe resubmitted the information to the CS representative who took a one time payment from us for the September 26,payment that was due and reassured us that the info was correct and there would be no further issuesIn November we contacted WNLI to go over terms for us to buy out the product for the remaining balanceWe were told at that time by the CSR that were behind paymentsI pulled up my bank statements, went over all the payments with herShe was very confused, had very little info to offer and no explanation of exactly which payment dates that we had missedAfter a very frustrating hour and a half of being put on hold for her to review the account and so she could "figure out what dates we missed" she got back on the phone and stated "I'm sorry we have a office meeting I have to attend and I will have to call you back tomorrow to clear this up" this particular CSR refused to let me speak to a supervisors because "they had to attend this pm meeting too and would be unavailable until tomorrow as well" We did receive a call the next day from the same CSR who ran us around in circles, had not come up with the new info as to the missing payment dates and came to the conclusion that her supervisor would have to review our account and get back to us the following dayApproximately a week went by with no word from anyone a WNLIAt the end of November, the TV stopped functioningThe TV no longer would turn on and we were told that since it was still under the manufacture's warranty we would ahve to go through the manufacturer to get it fixedKMART/ Sears policy is to send a repair man to the home to attempt to fix the TV and if he is unable then a new TV will be sent to the home via FED EXAfter being without a TV(but still paying for the TV through WNLI every two weeks) for a long week period, we finally received our brand new TV on January 9, We took the TV out of the box and plugged it in only to find that this TV as well will not turn on and is brokenWe contacted Sears and we were told that we would have to contact RCA the manufacturer who sent us the replacement TVRCA then told us that they could send us another replacement TV but it would be best for them to refund us our moneyAll we would need was a copy of the original receiptAll we had was the WNLI agreement and payment schedule receipt so we called WNLI to see if they could help usThe CSR at WNLI then told us that we were behind payments at this timeWe tried to go over the payment history with him but he asked us to call back when we had a bank statement in from of usWe then went to our bank and had statements from August 2014-January pulledThe Rep at the bank was also willing to speak to the WNLI CSR however they declinedThe CSR (Antonio) first stated we never made payments from December up until present timeThey stated that we never made a payment since our last time calling in NovemberWe had the proof right in front of us however the CSR was unwilling to listen he began taunting us stating " you don't pay your billsYou have insufficient funds! Insufficient funds!" I asked to speak to supervisor he declared that he was the supervisor and the only person that I was allowed to talk to was himI repeatedly asked for the supervisor and he would not allow me to talk to anyone elseI told him I would fax over all the statementsHe then gave me a fake fax numberI also told him I wanted to cancel the lease and return the TV after I have already paid a total of $, he willingly gave me the email address to the recovery teamAfter we hung up and left the bank, I decided to chance my luck at calling back and praying to reach someone reasonable and with a heartThis particular CSR (Cindy) was able to explain and pinpoint exactly where the mistake had been madeShe took full responsibility for the mistake and said that due to the CSR not entering the new debit card info in when we called in September, a payment was missed but she would have the finance department take care of itWe faxed all of the bank statements to her and are awaiting a response at this timeI have another payment due in days and at which point I will have paid $I want my account to be marked Paid in full at time and to be given a receipt that I can give to the manufacturer so I can purchase a working TVI wouldn't recommend this program to anyone

After I had paid off my settled amount, they still debited my accountI called to complain the first time and they admitted the person I did the settlement with did not close my account correctly and the money would be returned to my account in to hourshours passed and I still hadn't received my refund so I called back againThe next employee told me that it could be my bank and to give it one more day, so I didWhen I still hadn't received my refund I called again, this time an employee told me it takes to business days, when I asked to speak to a supervisor they told me one was not available and that I could request a call backTwo days went by and I hadn't received a call backI called back again asking to speak to a supervisor only and I had no interest in speaking with customer service anymoreThe supervisor told me that sometimes other supervisors don't call customers back if they feel the situation isnt necessary
I will never be using them again

In July of this year we used Why Not Lease It to purchase tools to help my son get started in his career We made the five contractual payments with the last one in October On November 10, I called to make full payment in order to buy out the lease and complete the contract At that time I was told the contract had been paid in full and the account was close and given a confirmation number to that effect On November another monthly payment was taken out of my bank account to pay on what should have been a closed account with a zero balance If you use this company keep a close eye on your bank account, I do not trust them

Why Not Lease It offers horrible customer service, extremely high interest rates and late feesAfter paying on an item for over five months, this company has informed me I currently owe more than what j purchased it at to begin withI wouldn't recommend this company to anyone

Unfortunately we had a death in the family and were out of town at the time of the contract expiration early buy outThey would not honor the day buy out even though we missed it by less than a weekSupervisor refused to speak to me on the phone and told rep to do his job and follow directionsWill never lease a big item again...was trying to avoid using a credit card and it backfiredBuyer beware!

I HAVE MADE MANY ATTEMPT TO CONTACT A SUPERVISOR REGARDING MY ACCNTNO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK YETI WORKED OUT AN AGREEMENT WITH YOU ALL AND YOU TOOK MORE OUT OF MY ACCNT THEN YOU WERE SUPPOSE TOI WAS NICE AND LET IT RIDE AND THEN FOR A SECOND TIME IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND I BLAME THE REP THAT I WAS WORKING WITH I WAS SUPPOSE TO ONLY PAY DOLLARS AND I WAS DONE NOW YOU GUYS ARE TRYING TO TAKE OUT OF MY ACCNT NO WAY I HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT LENIENT WITH THAT REP AND I STILL HAVE NT RECEIVED MY RETURN PAYMENT PLEASE SOMEONE CONTACT ME BACK I have been paying for months

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND YOU WILL PAY OVER TIMES THE COST OF YOUR PURCHASE

They are thiefts!! How can they steal money from someone this close to Christmas?! Not only that but that was some of my mortgage payment!!! You feel better stealing from a single mother of kids?! You gunna explain to my year old why he didn't have a Christmas this year?! Felonies are no joke! Someone better contact me and shut this place down before they steal from other unknowing families!!

I did whynot lease it at kmartI got a TV and a surround systemI thought I was getting a good deal my total amount leased was ! I was approved for $I paid down $and have paid on time evey monthI was thinking that I was almost done but looking at my contract I will have paid almost a $or more by the time I'm finishWHY NOT LEASE IT IS A RIPOFF SCAM!!!! THIS IS A LESSON LEARNED AND I THINK IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXPLAINED BETTER had I knew this I would have just paid for my items as plannedIt sounds good but this is a rip off

For the kind of business, Tempoe is at or above ParThe terms are made clear, albeit in fine print, when you sign upThe repayment and buyout arrangement is fairly iron clad, but they have made arrangements with me once for extenuating circumstancesBe aware that at a certain point, you are just "renting" since your continued monthly payments no longer reduce your principal, until you arrange to co.pkete your buyoutAll in all, an excellent company to do business with if you have less-than-exemplary credit and need financing

Why not lease are charging me late payment fees although after numerous conversation with customer service and the billing department to make sure the had my correct banking information they again sent me another email stating my bank rejected the withdrawal, I called my bank and they agreed I did have sufficient funds for the authorized withdrawal, don't know why they have did this several times but after being told by why not lease it that I would have to pay an additional $to buy out of the lease after paying the initial price and financing, I will pay the agreed price but no late fees or any additional buyout fees

I was at kmart looking for a tv when the employee told us about the whynotleaseit programWe got a tv and two year protection for $The employee and manager said that after the initial payments that I could buy it out or continue payments til it paid off in fullThey have taken $from my accountI called them and they said since I didn't buy it out after in initial payments I was still leasing it, that it didn't matter that I paid more than what the t.vcostFor me to buy it out was another $When I said that's bull carp and that this was extortion the women said she can drop the buy out to $I called the kmart I got the t.vfrom and the manager confirmed what I was told that after the $they were supposed to stopI can understand interest but the interest on my new car is lowerAlso they have me scheduled to make payments until January I found outI got in contact with a lawyerThis is extortion no one was told they could be paying three times what the item is worthAnd yes I did contact kmart head office and they also said they were under the impression that after the $the payment should have stoppedI understand interest but this is ridiculousNever again

I started a lease with the company in September of at searsI was not told the specifics of the lease agreement when I made the purchase and when I contacted the company they said it was my responsibility to call them for the terms of the agreementI kept all documents from the purchase, no where did it further explainI could not resolve this issue with customer service so I will pay what they say I owe and never do business with them againI truly hope that this review can save someone from going through what I have been through with this company

I leased a riding lawn mower with payments of every weeks for months after the lease was up called company said we didnt want it anymore told us to contact recovery part of the buisness when we called went to voicemail to leave my name and number after two weeks of no responce called again and still no responce during buisness hours this went on for 4months with no responce then finally herd from collection company and they asked if I was going to pay to settle their claim after we already paid the lease agreement to which I said no trying to settle with them
