I was not told about the extra finance charges. And money was taking out of my account without my permission. I will never use or recommend this company.
Poor customer service, not skillful at resolving customers issues in a timely manner. Unprofessional staff and phone etiquette. Management unavailable at customers request.
I bought some bedroom furniture from [redacted] in Riverdale, Ga and made my payments for about a year. I changed my payment dates online a few times with no problem and at the time of buyout I ended up paying less than expected. I only paid like $100 something and gained ownership. I really appreciated it, because at the time I was moving into my apt and didn't have all the funds up front.
I have read a lot of the complaint and I bought a Tv from them and I did not have any problems I think they are great and they are in business to help people who can not afford to fork out a lump sum for items so you should be grateful and not bad mouth them. They are great.
Not customer friendly! We paid our lease agreement off in June 2016. They debited my card for another payment in July 2016. I asked about it and they said that our "purchase option had not been made". I told them that according to the agreement; it should have ended in June. They said they couldn't refund my money and that I could return the appliance or either I could purchase it for a set dollar amount. I sure didn't need to lose that money; so I went ahead and scheduled the purchase online. Now I can't get them to respond to calls or emails. Will not do business with them again.
My husband and I leased to buy a dryer from Why Not Lease It. The dryer was $600. The saleman said that if we paid everything on time, it would end up costing $750. In the end, we payed $1800 for the dryer. They charged us on days when they shouldn't have, and we're down right rude. I will never use them or recommend them to anyone!!
Not a company I am impressed with at all. I paid my balance off months ago and the company still continued to take payments off my credit card that I did not authorize. I am assuming they don't comprehend that that is fraud! It happened more than once and each time the employee would tell me they would close my account. They obviously don't know how to do their job or they enjoy robbing people of their money. What a joke of a company that does not know how to do business!! I'm sure I am not the only person they have done this to and there are even probably people out there that don't realize it's happening. Way to make profit, Tempoe.
I got a T.V from why not lease it. Price was fine, I paid something like $40 down and had payments of just under $20 every two weeks. Well one day I lost my debit card so I called when I got my new card. (FYI I never missed a payment or was I late.) I called to change the card and make a payment the day it was due. About 3 days later I got a call saying I was late on the payment. I explained to the what happened, The person on the phone said he had no record of the payment. I said I can fax you my bank statement right now to prove I made a payment. He put me on hold and said he was going to look into it. After about 5 minutes he got on the phone and said he was able to track it down. He said the problem was taken care of and no further action was needed. Three days later it happens again, and about every three days after. Each time after an argument about me not paying and they find the payment I'm assured that the problem is taken care of and I won't hear back. Finally after about 5 times I didn't hear back from them.
So at the end of the lease I take the buyout option for $130ish. The day comes, and I check my bank account and not only did they take the buyout, but they took the monthly payment too. I call them [redacted] off and they person apologized and said he'll submit a refund. After a few business days no refund I call back. Again the person got A supervisor on the line said he found they notes but for some reason the refund was not issued. This time he sent a receipt to my email to confirm the refund.
Honestly not a very good first time experience but I'm going to give them another chance because they are cheaper then other rent to own places like RAC, or Easyhome. We'll will see. Maybe I'll change my review. Only time will tell.
I am very scared that this company is going to either take my money from my debit card or give me never ending payments. I was paying my amount I was supposed to for about six months and then I went into default. I'm trying to fix my credit and so I called them on makinging payments. They have doubled my payments and told me I haave to pay off the past due balance also the regular balance. They told me it wouldnt even be paying the principle..as if there would be "never-ending"payments and the by out will always be higher then the original amount no matter how much you have paid.
We purchased products from this company at a furniture store in New Orleans on two separate ocassions and I can honestly say that there will not be a third purchase with them at all! This entire company seemed very suspect from the contract to the lease end. We opted for the 90 day same as cash option but when it's time to pay it off, they transfer you to 100 different people who claim the account is being serviced by another dept. We get transferred to "the other dept" and they transfer us to the automative system. The first lease went ok minus a few of their payment system "glitches." However, this last purchase was as if they wanted us to default so they could reap the benefit of making us pay the buyout costs which would have been over $900 on a $2800 lease. Yesterday, my husband and I had spent the greater part of the day calling them. After being hung up on several times, transferred to the automative phone system (which didn't recognize our phone number in their system so a payment couldn't be processed) and being transferred to other depts, I had enough. I went ballistic because our lease end was this week and it seemed like they were purposely trying to make us default. Also, I tried to make a payment online and it was temporarily unavailable for a week straight. Needless to say, I spoke with Kathy who was very helpful after having to get extremely irate. She said Matt, the original it did not authorize our payment to be sent to the accounting dept. She read his notes and questioned that decision. [redacted] I knew, but I made sure that the payment was processed yesterday because I kept checking my bank account. That's how we found out the original payment was not processed because our bank account was not debited. I urge you, do not attempt to do business with this company. They are not ethical and they bank on the odds of you defaulting....it's more money for them. Also, most of their employees do not know they have a 90 day same as cash program...sad, I know! This is a different calculation from the original 5 month program. Again, stay away from this place. You will regret it.
Charges re-occurring after the account has been paid. Unable to contact anyone by phone are the type of problems you face with why lease it. Why lease it is a total rip off due to the fact that you cant pay off the account until you have paid twice the amount of the product purchased. I knew this before entering into a contract with them. Yet I did it anyway. However billing me after I have paid the account off is totally unacceptable.
OMG they are the worse company. They don't even know what they are doing. They keep messing up my account. They can keep track of the credits, balance every time they put me on hold forever. Is like they have everything in books an not computers. Well I dont even want to say more because I will not stop jajaja and no I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM NOT EVEN TO MY WORSE ENEMY. THEY REALLY [redacted]
Do not participate with this company. I bought a grill on sale at Kmart for 300.00 I put 91.00$ down I was to pay 46.00 dollars 5 more months. When I went to check my account they deducted 46 more from my account past my 5 months. I went on my account removed my debit card information sent a message they know longer had permission to use it left a message to contact me there phone was busy on able to reach. Next month same thing. I called and I ended up having to pay them another 141.00 dollars to get rid of them they did put 2 of the payment toward this after I threatened to turn them in for taking money from my account after they had in writing not use my account,.
This company does not pay on time they give you the round around to fund your money. In most contracts that I have submitted they take two weeks to get your money
I am writing this to make sure other people are not scammed. My girlfriend and I went to Kmart at Christmas time to shop, we were offered the "why not lease it " program. We went through the initial check and they gave us a one thousand dollar credit. To not go crazy we only spent five hundred of it and did some of our Christmas shopping this way so we could get our children a little more for Christmas. Kmart told us after the five payments we own it. I get a phone call three months later because they tried to pull money from the account and it wasn't there due to paychecks were late being deposited. That's when I got the real story. If you don't pay it off after the five payments the lease goes on for a year, which in turn you end up paying THREE times of what it's worth, and even after the buy out you end up almost paying twice of what it's worth. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone, even if it would pay for you to save your life. IT IS THE BIGGEST SCAM ON THE PLANET, THEY ARE LIARS AND SS. I'm trying to find grounds to sue for theft by deception. I reiterate DO NOT use this company
... I thought [redacted] had bad customer service but WHY NOT LEASE IT its the worst customer service I had experienced . .. They keep charging my old bank account even when I called more than 3x times to change it . They're WNLI program its not worth it .. They're just taking money away from people .. I will not recommend this program to anyone , just to deal with their customer care team .. AHHH .. Its a NO GO ... AND OWNERSHIP PAYMENT .. GZZZ .. 3X REGULAR PRICE ..
I'm going through the same thing right now with why not lease it, they are not forth coming with the info and they do not tell you the whole truth it they get you stuck in the payments I don't understand how they can get away with this
Worst company ever, do not use their services for dear life!! They would rip you apart whitout hesitation , I was supposed to be finish my loan from them today and I just call to make sure everything was correct just for them to inform me that I have to pay 800 more dollars to own my property!! Nobody told me that would happen before and when I try to get any answer or solution to this they just said that I basically have to pay or return the stuff for which I already pay full price plus 500 dollars more, they are a complete fraud, somebody must have to stop them doing this kind of things to honest hard working people
My husband and I decided to look for a new living room set for the family. We had the money to purchase up front but decided to lease it to build up our credit score. We were told that they do report it when in fact they do not.(we just found that info out) We agreed to pay the 222 for a 5 month period, fine.
