I just did an application for why not lease it online and I did not get approvedI do not have a problem with not getting approved I would just like to know the specific reasonI was sent the following email:
> Thank you for your recent lease application with WhyNotLeaseIt
> Regrettably, we are unable to approve your application at this timeWe
> appreciate your interest in our programShould your circumstances change
> in the future, try applying again
>
> If you have any questions as to why you were not approved, please feel
> free to contact us
It says to try applying again if circumstances change but how can I do that if I do not know what circumstances caused the denialI do understand that they do a soft credit pull that doesn't impact your credit score but I don't know if that was the reason for the denial or if I might have entered some information incorrectly on the applicationI tried calling them and they have have it set up to trace the phone number you are calling to to your application so that you get an automated message saying that was your application was not approved but you are not give give an opportunity to talk to anyoneThe only reason I wanted to talk to someone is so I could find out the reason I know other people who did the application in store and did not get approved but called why not lease it and ended up just having to verify some things and they got an approval code I just do not think there is anything wrong with knowing why you didn't get approved and being able to talk to a person instead of getting an automated message
I absolutely REGRET using this coming and its affiliate ( Why Not Lease Here/ Tempo)! I leased (rent to own) from the retail site on Stoney Island in Chicago, ILThe retailer never explained the payment termsThe home office stopped my automatic debits & listed me as past due, all because, someone spelled my name wrongThen, I was issued a penaltyNow months after pay-off, I've received an email to expect yet another debitI never even received an email the entire time the account was OPEN!
If the finance company associated with any business dealings is affiliated with "WHY NOT LEASE HERE"the answer is simple; because you should NOT be in business, your staff is subpar, unjustified fees are ridiculous and the retailers are con men!
To think, I opened this account to have a quick pay-off on my credit reportJust to later find out, they don't even report to the credit bureaus!!! (Thank God for small favors since this turned out to be a catastrophe)
Whynotleaseit is the biggest rippoff I have ever come in contact with I am quite sure that you are not doing this in your state and several other states Sears and KMart have to stop using your service because you are worse than LOAN SHARKS They are ripping the people off and getting away with it
The total amount of the sale was $1, in which a down payment was made for $448.92, that was started in November, Our monthly payment is $ We were never reminded of the minimum term payments Thus far we have paid $1, We should only owe $ They expect you to continue paying $for the next months Now you decide if this is not LOAN SHARKING
Please explain a buy out for now
This company is a jokePurchased washer and dryer from kmartDryer broke in one day so returned both to storePaid few payments as I didn't realize I was still being chargedNow they have it on my credit report that I still owe almost
Some months they take two payments out of my account and I have reported it and they were very rude so I went to bank and had everything changed so they can not take money from my account so I can just go pay cash at Kmart where I got the stuff and now they say I can't return the stuff I will not pay a mother dime on this I will close out my account I have a family member who took her stuff back the same day in August and here it is Nov and they are still taking her money
I went though why not lease it, thinking that everything is OKI have been getting charged for over a year now twice a month or $all for a $bill that I should have just bought outrightSears talked me into it saying that my credit will go up, I have seen nothing on my credit for this lease programDon't do it get a bank loanI made the mistake and now living with paying them dollars for years lThat's dollars for a $dollar itemI almost forgot to mention that once the process is started they will not let you out of the contract
I cannot believe how much of a rip off this company is! There have been so many Unauthorized payments from this company and they attempt to blame it on late fees! When I called and attempted to resolve the issue, they told me that they weren't able to wothdrawl the money from my account on the date of the payment and that they were charging me late feesThis company is a rip off and does not care about customers at all! I advise people to NEVER lease through this company
Why not lease it continues to draft my account an additional $because I failed to notify the company the account was paid in fullSo dont assume they can add and subtract the amont of payments owed
I have completed two previous leases with this company without complaintThe second lease was great because of the early payoff option (30,60, or Days)I considered the Early Purchase Option fee to be reasonableI made no payments and no money was deducted from my account until I called, within the first days, and paid the lease offWhen the fridge went out in my rental property on 11/26/and I needed a replacement ASAP, I didn't hesitate to hustle down to Sears to get a new one on the same lease programThis time however, I am furious! I stipulated that I would pay the lease off in days, just as before Under the GoSELECT!-Early Purchase Option section of the contract it reads; You may terminate your lease before the end of your Initial Term by exercising your Early Purchase OptionIn addition to paying the cash value of your leased items, exercising your Early Purchase Option requires you to pay an Early Purchase Option feeThis amount is calculated as a percentage of the cash value of your leased itemsOKAY SO FARThen under the Day Option paragraph, my specific contract states; Requires a 5% Early Purchase Option FeeOnce added to the cash value of your leased items, you must pay $(plus any additional incurred fees) in total by 12/26/to own your leased itemsSTILL OKAY
The problem arose when I pulled up my bank account on 12/and found that Tempoe DBA WHYNOTLEASEIT had debited me for a payment of $plus a fee of $because the money had not been in the account when they had first tried to draft it on 12/WHOA! There is NOTHING in the Early Purchase Option plan that states anything about payments being withdrawnTHE CONTRACT IS ILLEGAL! You cannot have conflicting terms in a legally binding contract
I will not do business with this company again because it appears they do what they please, whenever they pleaseI have had two of the same type leases and they have been handled differently each timeScary!
I have never had such a terrible experience with using credit then I had at this place I would not recommend anyone ever leasing from this place, because of the professionalism they lackThe unorganization is unbelievable First, I had an issue with scheduling my first payment Then I spoke with a representative about making one large payment a month instead of one payment every weeks, somehow the representative turned this call into me removing the ONLY card I had on fileWhich is impossible because you have to have some form of payment on fileNow somehow I am penalized for a mishap on their part, no one can assist me with this all of them continues to keep repeating the notes on fileDealing with this company is so terrible I will be putting the rest of the amount financed on my credit card and just paying that, instead of having to deal with them any longer
Let me say one word ppl...Run...Do not sign with this business...they will say and do anything to screw you once you have a contract...was told one thing but got screwed by the so called VERBAL representation on the phone...once I make it out of this crap I will never ever go back to Tempoe...ppl go to the Rent A Centers and such...do ur homework and stay away from the crap this place puts out...also going back to A B C Warehouse to tell them they need to find a different finance company if they ever except to receive buss from me again...I will go out of my way to Best Buy from here out...My name is *** *** and once again ppl run run run...DONT DO IT
I have done two "leases" with them through Kmart. The first went the way it was supposed to. Bought a 32 in t.v. for $300, at the end of my " lease" that's what I ended up paying. The second was a t.v. on sale for $275. Was told my payments would be taken monthly. That was the first lie. They took them out bi-weekly. Was also told that they would take the payments out until the full amount the purchase price was for was paid. Lie number 2, By the time I realized they were still taking money out, they had STOLEN over $500 from me. Tried getting in touch with customer service, and they completely ignored me. Called and spoke to a representative explained the situation and was told I was LIED to, no help, just a "we're keeping all your money, sorry". If you pay for something in full, they shouldn't be taking any more of your money. I am considering a lawsuit. I thought this was a good help for people who don't have the money upfront, but I was very wrong. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE EVER. Cheaters and scammers.
We purchased a snow blower through [redacted] and went with their recommendation with why not lease it. BIG MISTAKE!!! Not only did they fail to disclose that there are payments after paying the machine off, 3 extra, almost doubling the cost but Wh Not Lease It took out two extra payments and never sent our requested letter of completion. I was gone tonight for 30 minutes as my girlfriend got on the phone with them to discuss the problems and when I reurned she was still trying to get a manager on the phone to get our refund. She has been on hold for 15 more minutes waiting for a manager. Still no manager and the c/s rep was argumentative with her. Incompetent is the word that comes to mind
Horrible company! I've been trying to get back my money that has been taken out of my checking account for 3 weeks now, 3 months after my tempoe balance was paid off. Complete scam!!
I bought furniture from [redacted] in Springfield, MA the last week of august. The owner said that I could lease it, with a downpayment that day and monthly of $104.62. He said I would have early purchase options to avoid interest, otherwise I would pay the full amount of $1162 plus interest by my 8th payment. My lease clearly states I will make 8 additional payments after 9/16/2016.
I call today to confirm final payment date of 01/06/2016. To my horror I was advised that I can keep making payments monthly after that date to pay off balance of $639.38 I will still owe them. I asked them to please explain why, as that means I will have paid them $1801.58. He kept saying "that's your payoff amount". I asked to speak with a supervisor, got put on hold, and they hung up and did not follow up with a phone call.
I have never written a Revdex.com report, but this is such a horrendous experience I had no other choice!
Every time my husband calls and talks to a someone. They tell us we owe different amounts. Its the same day but a half hour later. Then we get a different answer on how long our lease is for. They should not deal with California. Our lawsare ddifferent. We are forced to keep the TV because sending it back would cost more then the TV. They are a rip off. They tell you to look at contract but you don't get that until you are all done and have made the 1st payment. Will never do this again.
this company [redacted] everytime I called to payoff there was a computer problem.
But I blame myself more for being [redacted]ered into this. [redacted] is to blame more than anyone attempting to push this on to the consumer.
I leased to own a washer and dry set through Appliamnce Smart in [redacted], oh.
In the store it was advertised $ 900, but they ended up charging me $2500.
The worse company I've ever dealt with.
