Anyone in their right mind would never use this company if they knew exactly how this company works. The people who represent this company I have zero knowledge on how their program works and do not represent the inner workings of the program in an honest manner I would never recommend this to friends or family or even my worst enemy. Stay away from this company. They do not care that they have been misrepresented and if they have continued to take money off my card month after month without my knowledge
I do not recommend Sears, Kmart, or Why Not Lease It to anyone. These companies are out to scam their customers. They do not need to be in business. When you purchase something, it needs to be put on layaway. People do not need to be scammed into over paying for a product three times over the purchase price. I thought that I was paying on an item that I was going to own. I found out that I was leasing the product, after I had already over paid for the product $150.00. The payments were scheduled for two to three times a month. I must've had stupid written on my forehead. I wondered why the payments were twice a month but, I did not think to question it. Please stay far away from Sears, Kmart, and Why not lease it. They will take all of your money and not care.
Why not lease it is the worse company ever It's just a rip off, customer service has very bad attitude, you end up paying more than triple the value of the item you lease. Never again
Worst company ever. Was offered a buyout of 534 washer and dryer call back to accept the offer I was told that I could not do it. Advised to read that I do not want a washer and dryer any longer and wanted to return it advised me that I could not do it had to make five more payments before I can return the item. The amount that I have paid them is double the worth of the washer and dryer and I refused to pay them anymore take me to court.
as stated by others every month they indicated their payment would not clear and billed a 25 charge for that and reran it again got paid when there was no change on my part to my account. every time the funds were available and they did this every month I had a lease with them. I paid off the account per the agreement in November now they are trying to bill me again.
I called Tempoe today to find out what my payout was on a bed and mattress valued at 517.00 . I was told if I did a buy out by April 14th, I would pay 51.75 plus 314.00 which would bring the bed and mattress of 517.00 at over, eight hundred dollars. However, if I did not I would continue paying through the rest of the year and years... to over 1000.00 plus. I'm sorry, I don't care what your tax is or what your charges are but this is a rip off to people who are in dire straights. This is [redacted] people who are in financial distress but need furniture. I am absolutely appalled at the underhanded and ludicrous business practices of companies like Tempoe who underhandedly [redacted] the poor because they can.
I purchased a couple items from [redacted] and the contract printed in Spanish. I tried numerous times to get it in English as I don't speak Spanish and it took them the entire length of the lease to get in English. I know I should have rejected the lease agreement not being about to see what I was signing for but I trusted Sears as I've bought from them 100's of times in the past. Because it was in Spanish I didn't know that I needed to call before my lease was up to buy out the items. I was shocked when I found out that I still owed over $300 for something that on paper showed I paid it off. Nobody explained it to me. They just made it seem like it was a rent to own type thing, It's not. You literally pay it off and then pay more to buy it out. Very poor customer service
I have had the same to happen to me. I too did not know I was signing a lease deal. And then one minute I owe one more payment to now I owe 3 more, I will take the tires I bought back to them and tell them I am now longer wanting them. Isnt that the way leasing works? Yes I think so. "I understand the business aspect but your providers should make your clients aware of the type of deal they're getting into. I find it kind of deceiving to discover that I signed into a lease type program. At no point before, during or after the whole buying process was I told that it was a lease. "Did you read the contract?" I did ask the salesman if had to pay anything more after the end of the term and his response a laughing no. Not to worry because I wouldn't have to pay a penny more. I'm not the complaining type and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Not a good experience". Stay away from this company. They are misleading and a scam.!!!!
This has been by far the worst purchasing experience. I purchased furniture from a furniture store and used this company for third party financing. After 2 weeks of not hearing an update I contacted the store who then told me all of my items were on back order for weeks and that the had been trying to contact me but Tempoe refused to cooperate. Upon contacting Tempoe I was told that my order would be cancelled but I had to pway a 40.00 can cancellation fee although it was not my fault of the back order, nor the lack of communication between Tempoe and the store. The agent was ok but the manager was rude and didn't even want to answer general questions. I was making a very large purchase as I would be furnishing my entire house. I will never do business with this company again. Utilize all of youroptions peopled. This company is a joke!!
Borrower beware. Unfortunately, if you don't read the fine print (if you can find it), you will pay much more than you'd ever imagine for what you bought initially. In my case, I bought a $150 bike for my daughter and few small appliances ($205 total) and thought wow, I can pay $19.91 payments for 5 or so months and have it paid off. Great deal right?! Wrong. It turns out that you are "leasing" it and after you pay the lease payments you have to buy out your lease. Here is where they get you. They use a formula to determine the present value of what you have. In my case the total cost of the leased items was around $205. I paid nine payments of $19.91 ( $179.19 total) and then had to buy the lease out for $170.05. So it cost me $144 more than if I had just bought the items outright at the store. Never again will I fall for it. But it only gets better...per their terms, if you don't call them to buy it out or return the items, they can charge you up to 36 lease installments and you still have to buy it out. If it sounds to good to be true......
Terrible Company. They are NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED. They are purely about them making profit. I went to a third party store to buy electronic equipment and they set me up with this horrible excuse for a loan shark. This company is no help to anyone and is a waste of hard working peoples money. TERRIBLE.
I purchased a dryer from Sears and it was only $500. In addition, it was a GE model and not a top brand. I finished paying off the dryer in October and I am still forced to make payments. This company does nothing but pray upon poor people, who have less than stellar credit. So far, I have already paid double for this dryer. I am so angry, that I have no other outlet than to pay these crooks. Pure usury!! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!! I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF TO MY FACE!!!
Do not do business with these people. They misrepresent themselves to take your money. They say pay in 90-days but that is not the case. They are thieves.
I would never do business with this company again! Fail to inform the consumer of the policies and "options" that they have. This company is a downright rip off
I have used this company two times. First I purchased a washer from Kmart. I had an easy experience. Made my payments on time, had to change the payments dates a couple of times and they worked with me with no issues. There is a buyout option at the end of the lease, and I ended up not having to pay for the buyout option since I was going to return the washer, but since they took more than a month getting back to me, they said that was there mistake and I get to keep the washer. Well. that worked out.
Then I purchased a laptop from Sears. Made my payments on time, had to change the billing cycle and had no issues doing this. I bought out the lease at the end of lease agreement.
Of course you pay a little more, what do people expect. There is some people this helps, like myself, sometimes I don't have the full amount to pay up front. My experience has been great! I will use them again.
why not lease it. ok I called around the 7 AUG 2015 to ask about a 1000.00 available credit I got in the mail the person I talked to stated it was available I proceeded to ask if I go back to sears what would I have to do to get an increase enough to purchase a washer an dryer that will be back on sale on 16th AUG 2015 the man on the phone stated that if I would pay off one of my two leases which was $ 367.69 that they would increase the amount to purchase the washer and dryer I had to pay it by the 12 AUG 2015 to meet the 60 days payoff I said I would call wednesday morning 12 AUG 2015 to do that I did call and talk to another man said same thing pay $ 367.69 and u have to call from the store to set it up we should increase the additional money u r payment history is good on time no problem just have sale associate call and we should have no issues. I called from New Castle PA Sears store and got a lady this time and she looked at the account and came up with well the computer generated the additional money of 1000.00 dollars and we cannot go over the original amount that was given at the begining of the leases which was
$ 1500.00 I explained what the two other men had told me she said couldnt do anything then I spoke to a supervisor and stated u people lied to me I payed the lease off and u r associates stated this was going to be fine she said sorry cannot do anything for u I said why did u take my money when I did not have to pay off lease she said sorry they made a mistake and I cannot raise it to purchase the washer an dryer nothing I can do the computer only generated a 1000.00 dollar availability . These people should not be allowed to do buissness like this the consumer gets ripped off every day in this country by more an more big companys with no recourse . Do Not Trust Anyone there I called to talk to a supervisor from home later the 16th Aug 2015 the man that answered the phone Fernando never got me a supervisor he came back and said he was getting me information on to where to send a complaint to another man put on hold for more time and never came back 15 - 20 minutes of waiting I hung up dont trust this company never going back..
I don't know what to do these guys are not following the contract there taking payments they should be take treating my bank account like there personal.I advise a attorney to look in to this business there not doing things right
This company steals money from people's account after the recieved you Master or Visa card. They have an aggreement with Master card that allows them to attain your new card information even if you cancel it. The only way to keep them out your account is to cancel you account and establish a new one with a new account number.
DO NOT use this company.they will take your money regardless if settlement was reached...and you want getnit back months after!!! This is a bad company...[redacted] id rather say.STAY AWAY.
