Very deceptive billing practices: On August 19 I was quoted a renewal price of $215, by a GigMasters rep, using a 20% coupon. That price was reflected on my GigMasters account page. 5 days later I get a Membership Auto Renewal email, that started with "A lot has changed ... but not your membership price", but the mail showed the price had jumped to $299 minus a 10% discount. That is clearly a deceptive practice. That on top of a prior email that stated "30% discount on any membership", but the word "any" doesn't mean ANY for GigMasters, it only means "new memberships". Deceptive again.

We try to be as transparent as possible in regards to our membership fees for both existing and new members. The renewal fee for an existing member is not known until 2 weeks before the actual renewal date as we email a notification with the price 14 days in advance. The email that you referenced that you received regarding the price is a notification that we send our members when there's been a change to their membership fee. In 2017 we began transitioning all of our members to the current pricing structure and this process was done gradually instead of all at once by offering and applying a discount. There was also a change to the cost of the Basic membership for both 3 and 12 months, which we believe is the level that you have. The previous cost of a 12 month Basic was $269, however, it has changed to $299. The email with the 30% discount being offered should specify that it is for new membership sign ups only and we'd be glad to review the email if you'd like to forward it to us. We can also check to see if it was emailed to your email address associated with your account, or if it was sent to another email address that's not on file for you.

I purchased a 12 month basic membership for $269 and have been a member for about 7 months. The account is for a popular P area, 8-musician cover band averaging 90 gigs a year. I spent several days carefully completing our band profile, uploading photos, videos and song list.
So far I have received 67 leads, but none were organic leads for our band; they were all for clients who agreed to have GigMasters add vendors to their request.
Of those 67 leads the vast majority were clients with a budget that was so low I couldn't even afford to go out as a solo act (literally <$300). We were available for and responded 'yes' to 22 leads. For each of those I responded very quickly, submitted a thoughtful proposal and followed up several times. Of those 22 leads only 14 even read my proposal (there is a status indicator). Of those 14 ONLY TWO replied to me, the rest ignored me entirely, even after 5 followups via GigMasters, text and/or email.
I'm still "working on" 3 leads since the event dates have not passed yet, but two of them have not replied at all, and the last one is coincidentally a client who contacted us 11 years ago about an event and then disappeared, so I'm not holding my breath.
In case there are doubts about my band's quality or our sales approach, we have 20 years of experience, hundreds of 5 star reviews on both *** and *** and we are well known by fans, clients and venues in *** as highly professional and among the best-sounding bands around.
I have found that GigMasters is just not a good source of qualified leads for serious musicians.

I had a BAD experience with GigMasters. I joined Gigmasters in november 27th 2016. suddenly I realized that it was a mistake to sign up and deactivated account. I called and tried to reach someone which did not work then went online and deactivated account.
11/27/2017 - got a charge again from Gigmasters for renewal. I called and sent email asking to cancel my account and refund my money. I received email from Andrea G Account Specialist stating that she was sorry to hear that I would like to cancel my membership. she did not cancel my account and now I received another charge from gigmasters on my credit card.
I do not why its not easy to get rid off a *** like gigmasters who are just sucking poor hard working folks *** for something that we had no interest in it anymore and can not get rid of it.
I was charged more than $1100 and not a single benefit or call.

Our records show that you joined on 11/27/16 with a 12 month membership. All GigMasters memberships have an auto-renewal in place and your membership was renewed on 11/27/17 for another 12 months. We do send an email notification 30 days and 14 days prior to the renewal date to inform our members of the upcoming renewal. There is also an alert in the Member Control Panel within the GigMasters account itself. The auto-renewal can be disabled by a GigMasters representative within 30 days of the renewal date by giving our Account Services Team a call.

On 5/2/18 you had emailed us requesting to cancel the account and asked for a refund. All new membership sign ups come with a 30 day money back guarantee, which would have been valid on your account for the first 30 days after you initially signed up on 11/27/16. GigMasters does not offer refunds on renewals nor do we have a partial or pro-rated refund for time remaining on an account if it is cancelled. We have included a link to our User Agreement for your convenience here: *** and have highlighted the refund policy as well: No Refunds. You may cancel your GigMasters account at any time; however, there are no refunds for cancellation except (a) as expressly set forth herein, and/or (b) as required by applicable law. In the event that GigMasters suspends or terminates your account or this Agreement, you understand and agree that you shall receive no refund or exchange for any Site Content, any unused time on a subscription, any license or subscription fees for any portion of the Sites, any content or data associated with your account or for anything else.

On 11/27/18, your membership renewed again for another 12 months and you had given our office a call on 12/11/18 regarding this renewal and had requested a refund. One of our Supervisors had reached out to you on 12/12/18 and had issued you a refund for the renewal that took place on 11/27/18 in the amount of $379.00, which is the cost of the 12 month professional membership you had. We would like to mention that an exception was made in this refund being issued as refunds are not provided on membership renewals. We would also like to point out that any previous renewals were not refunded as they were not eligible. The Supervisor had also followed up with you on 12/13/18 and 12/14/18 by phone and email to inform you of the refund and our records show you replied via email on 12/14/18.

If you value your memories please do not patronize these people. My granddaughters first birthday was in August. We had the princess Belle come and we ordered the face painting. Belle was a you g teenage girl with a too big dress on, and she was very anti social to the children and stood off to the side distancing herself. I never knew if Belle knew how to talk! The lady with her did all the talking as the girl looked scared and clueless. The face painter(the other lady) did not know how to face paint. The other children were so disappointed by the small unrecognizable markings they received on their face. She had no artistic skills, and she didn’t even have stencils. I had to keep telling the children to go over to talk to Belle. When asked if Belle could take pictures with the children, I was told they would take them for us and send them to us. A few weeks after the party, I was still trying to contact these people for the pictures and I was told she had been really busy and would get them edited and sent to me. It’s now November and I still have no memories of the event. I still don’t get any responses or phones calls back. This was supposed to be professionals for children birthday parties. If you ask me, they are a rip off and just getting people’s money for lousy service! The pictures on the website are very deceiving, except you can see the oversized dress on the girl for yourself hanging off of her. *** Rental should be ashamed of themselves!! Stop taking people’s money for nothing! Shame on you!
