My experience was almost identical to the others - pretty little girl, lived down the street, student at Univ. of Florida, communications major and earning money to go to England to be an intern at BBC. I am not proud of the fact that I fell for her story! Well, I just got home from my bank where I stopped payment on my check. There was a story on local tv just yesterday about this very scam. I'll take my chances with an unpaid subscription! It's the principle of the thing!!
A door-to-door salesman knocked on my door. He told me he was a son of a neighbor further down the road and that knew my direct next door neighbor. He told me it was a fundraiser for his soccer league. The guy even waived to my neighbor when she pulled out of her driveway. When I asked her later, she said she didn't know him and he wasn't a neighbor. The order form had no pricing on it, so I was skeptical but I also had two toddlers hanging on my legs. I ordered a book on Sept. 25 2013 and have not received it to date. Lesson learned by me. Do no order from this company. The challenge is, you would have to ask the sales person to come back or check the Revdex.com reviews while they are at your door. So you have to make a split decision with out research.

I had a similar experience here in SW Florida as [redacted]'s complaint on 2-06-14 except that it was a good looking, well mannered young man that gave me his story. He said he lived in my neighborhood and, when asked, he gave me an address on a street about 3 streets away which turned out to be false. When I asked if they were listed in the phone book he said "no" because they had just moved here. Elaborate is the correct word for the story given -- father in the Marine Corp, mother -something blah blah, wanted to get to England for something or other, just needed to sell 3 more units (6 each) of children's books which would be shipped toThe Children's Hospital in Tampa; The address given was the correct address for St. Joseph's Children's Hospital but was written on the receipt as simply "Children's Hospital"; there was no way to track the order to verify that the Hospital received the books.
My gut told me something was wrong but I wrote a check for $122 . However, after checking further to see the inconsistencies -- it cost me $36 for the Bank to put a "STOP" payment on the check. I hope whoever is reading this hasn't already written their check. I wish that someone could stop this destructive door to door sales -- which I truly believe to be a well rehearsed scam.

Due to the very limited information provided by Mr. [redacted] we were unable to determine the name of the independent contractor Mr. [redacted] is referring to in this complaint. If Mr. [redacted] can please include the full first and last name of the independent contractor he was visited by then we would be happy to look into this complaint for him. The company must be advising the little thieves how to scam since all the reviews seem to have a similar story including mine. I too was scammed, The young lady came to my door said she lived in the neighborhood even gave a legit street name in the neighborhood. Said her father was making her raise half the money for a theater training class in England. Told a very elaborate story about her family and living in the community. Latter security tapes revealed she broke into the neighborhood by crawling under gate. Send a request for refund to the company but have heard nothing and don't expect to. To bad this company and their band of thief's hurt the people really trying to work and be a positive impact on society.

My wife fell for this door-to-door scam. Luckily, I alerted her to how suspicious the story was that she was told by the person who came to our door. We stopped payment on the check she wrote and cancelled our order the same day. So, although we didn't lose any money, we are disturbed by the nature of the lies told by these sales people. This business should be shut down.
I am writing in regards to the above mentioned complaint. The alleged statements made by the independent contractor described in [redacted] complaint are certainly not condoned nor tolerated by The Experience, LLC....
Due to the circumstances in this matter, we feel that the best resolution in this matter would be to cancel [redacted] order. As [redacted] has indicated that she has cancelled her check with her bank, we will be unable to provide her with a refund of her order. If any further information is needed please feel free to contact me.
i'M DISAPPOINTED IN THAT EVERYTHING THE SALESMAN TOLD ME WAS UNTRUE. HE CERTAINLY DIDN'T INFORM ME THAT HE WAS A PRIVATE CONTRACTOR. I WAS TOLD THAT HE NEEDED POINTS OR MONEY TO SPONSOR HIS SOCCER TEAM THAT THEY COULD GO TO IRELAND FOR PLAYOFFS. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I WAS BUYING A SUBSCRIPTION. I THEREFORE SHALL STOP THE CHECK GIVEN TO HIM AND SEND IN THE RECEIPT FOR CANCELLATION.
