Dear [redacted],   As previously stated, Western Union has made a decision to discontinue WU Pay as a payment option. The information, provided to you in the past, was based on the initial announcement and the available resources at the time of your previous complaint. However, further investigation show that the process of disabling of WU Pay was a gradual process that started on July 20, 2016 – the process was not immediate.   The service was being shut down for the customers, based on their usage of our digital channels – starting with the customer who have an online account with Western Union but have not used it for 10 days prior to July 20, 2016, ending with customer who regularly use the digital channels to remit funds. The shutdown was completed on September 21, 2016. As the service was not disabled for all of the Western Union customers until September 21, 2016, this option remained listed on our website until the total shutdown was completed. WU Pay has now been removed as a payment option from our website as it is no longer available.   The decision to shut down the WU Pay payment option was based on a number of factors (internal processes, policy changes, etc.) – all of the documentation and information that was used to make the decision is proprietary and cannot be released to a consumer.   We once again apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you.   Kind Regards,   [redacted]

April and on May 25, 2017, Western Union mailed a letter to you asking to provide the original Money Order or copies of such, so we could process a refund since the Money Order was purchased back in 2008 and had already escheated to the state as a result of it becoming an abandoned property. For Western Union to claim escheated funds back, we require the original item to be returned to us.  As an exception we have processed a refund on June 7, 2017, in the escheated amount of $583.00 (Original sales amount $625.00, service fee deducted $42.00). in your complaint, Western Union sent you a letter on August 21, 2015, indicating that the funds have not been collected. Because your physical address was no longer on a military base we required a notarized document to proceed with sending the refund check to the correct address. The required documents were received on September 30, 2015. Due to an internal handling error the refund was not processed.
We contacted you by telephone on December 18, 2015 to offer you an overnight refund check or a manual refund that could be collected at a Western Union location immediately. You selected the manual refund. We provided the details of the refund via e-mail and you acknowledged receiving the information. As a courtesy, we have awarded your account with 150 points that can be used to cover the fees on your next transaction.
We also provided some agent location suggestions near your zip code.
Western Union apologizes that you found difficulty working with our Customer Support. When a concern such as this is brought to our attention, we take it very seriously and move to correct it quickly. We thank you for your feedback and want you to know that we will take the necessary steps to correct the issue.

I am rejecting this response because:  We followed Western Unions instructions to the maximum ability possible.  They get on their manufactured high horse to create the impossibility of using the circled "R" as a character that they know full well is extremely unlikely to be allowed by bank websites.  Another manufactured stupidity happens to be the name of our company, which happens to include a digit; they refuse to say exactly what the name discrepancy they allude to,so it is impossible to respond in an intelligent manner.  Please note that their "responses" could have come from a parrot; remaining the same and giving no useful information.  Never mind their garbage; they have refused to honor a contract that they created. They have refused to pass the money onto the desired recipient.  Now we would like a straight answer: WHEN WILL WE GET OUR MONEY BACK?  We are betting that answer will not be forthcoming.
