I orders and purchased an advertised authentic *** wool tunicWhen I received the package, I opened it up and noticed several things wrongIt was very cheap material by the feelThe stitching was wrong for a *** item, and I am a size The tunic did not fit me at allSize fits me no problemThis is a fake item being advertised as an authentic *** itemThat is advertisement

The *** is running a promotion where you consign clothing from *** *** (SM) and you receive a $gift card for use on the SM website I consigned clothing and received a code I tried unsuccessfully to use the codeI emailed SM with no response so I emailed the *** The *** told me to contact SM I emailed SM again with no response then I called SMThe call was disconnected and I never received any further communication from SM I’ve repeatedly asked the *** to resolve this issue since they are the ones who ran the promotion and have not received response to my latest inquiry, specifically for a POC at SM in order to resolve this matter

I went on *** after seeing a commercial on tvLater, I had ads pop up from the company on the side of every other site I visitedThe ads had a certain coach purse that I liked that said "buy now for $11" Every time I clicked on that ad, it brought me to the purse and the price was changed to $This is a bait and switch and also advertising which is illegalI sent them an email pointing this out and asking what the price isThey never responded and this morning, the ads are all changed showing the correct priceI have the screen shots to prove what they did I would advise against doing any business with therealreal that uses deceptive business practices to lure potential customers in and then change the priceAlso a business that does not value their reputation with potential customers and could care less bout responding to their emails

I sent my watch to The Real Real to sell late last summer This watch retailed at $44, They gave me a price to sell in to days that never sold They said if it did not sell they would give me a list of 3rd party sellers Upon my constant urging they put the price down, they listed it on "Sale" and it sold with a three week return policy It was returned Another couple of months and it went back on and sold and now is returned again They obviously do not have any idea how to price, sell, set policy etc on watches of value I requested a no return and they said no because it would be harder to sell, six months later I have an expensive watch who two people has basically borrowed and the sales price is diminishing This company needs to stop lying about what they can do and the best way to do it

The Realreal - Horrible Customer Service!!! I can not belief what just happen.I consider myself pretty loyal RealReal customerLike their APP and use them here and thereFor the last the company became very misleading with the representation of the itemsThey take a picture as almost perfect sometime they hide the problem with itemOr they describe the size wrongThey advertised the clothing size as Medium when received size if it is size why don't to put size For some people size is Large, not MediumIf the shoes has old soles they cover up with rubber to sell it "Excellent Condition" with expensive pricingVERY MISLEADING! Just called customer service and lady was yelling on my ears for minutes and when I asked her name she said: " Good bye ma'am!" Lady!, you got hired to answer the phone and assist with customers issue! If you can not do your job why don't you get going to somewhere else (stay home?)Is management of RealReal know their issue with their custome

UnimpressedTried to order something multiple times, and rather than engage and explain they kept cancelling my order because they didn't like that I used more than one email address, they just cancelled it outrightThen I tried to order from the email address I typically used and the item was no longer on saleI can buy new for that price and have a far better experience

I purchased a pair of used men's *** Leather *** *** *** on July 20, The item's description was as follows: *** Leather *** *** - Men's Brown Leather *** *** *** Sandals With H Accents At *** And *** LogoAll of the description was correct except for the colorWhen I received the item - which I purchased for $295, I immediately saw that the sandals were black - not brownI loved the color brown - it goes with most of the things that I wear - and I am ok with black - but I felt that The Real Real misrepresented the itemWhen I contacted customer service - they apologized - and said that they could send an RMA for returnI told them that I'm still happy with the item - but because they misrepresented the item's color - I'm not as happy and disappointed with the sandals AND their lack of customer serviceI asked for an adjustment or credit for my disappointment and inconvenience of having to contact themThey basically had a "I DON'

I paid $1,for a handbag that was advertised as authentic Coco ChanelThe advertising even contained a picture of the serial number on a tag that was sewn into the inside of the handbag When I received the handbag, which was a Christmas present for my wife, there was no serial number whatsoever anywhere in, on or around the handbagTheRealDeal customer service department tried to dupe me into believing that there was a serial number affixed to the bag, claiming, "We have verified the serial number is on a hologram sticker placed at an interior corner." However, there was no trace of any sort of serial number affixed to the bag, inside or outsideI have disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office in the state of Arizona, where I liveThe bag is a counterfeitTheRealReal is an unethical company with absolutely no concern in even the slightest degree for the welfare of their customersThey are greedy and avariciousCaveat emptor certainly applies hereOnce they get your credit card information, you are ***, blued and tattooed

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/09/22) */
We responded to the NJ Revdex.com on this complaint last monthHere is the response provided:
Dear Revdex.com,
In order to provide great value to our customers, handbags are final purchase and not eligible for returnThe customer
initially contacted us and asked to return the handbag - no mention was made that she thought the bag was not genuineWe showed her where the policy states that handbags are not returnableA week later, the customer sent the Revdex.com her complaint and then days after she filed her complaint with the Revdex.com, she called to tell us she thought the bag was not genuine
Our experts examine every bag and are specially trained in authenticationThis handbag was verified as authentic and we stand by that
We have been in subsequent communication with the customer and consider this matter closed
Sincerely,
The RealReal Customer Service

This review is to address complaints I have with the Consignment Department and specifically Kathy Hein with customer serviceI consigned an item with them and upon initial assessment of price by The Real Real, I reached out to demonstrate that they had incorrectly priced my itemI sent links to parallel items they had sold in the past to support my opinion, I was told that they would review and get back to meOver a month later, the item finally went on the site without my approval and at the same priceIt was also listed incorrectlyI reached out to customer service via Kathy Hein to discuss the matterI let her know that I understand they have a business to run, but I had not given the explicit approval to sell my item- this approval had been laid out in prior emails from her companyShe was curt, discourteous and abrasiveThe entire process was complicated but her dealing with it turned it murky and dishonestThey ended up selling an item without my agreement

I have purchased several items from this place and have been pleased with some but most are not as described especially as in sizing and measurementsThey describe items with only measurements and when you receive the item it is half it's sizeI am finished doing business with them

I am having a terrible experience with them over consigningThey say that they accept items that are bought at their shop before, and in same or similar conditionI sent them items, that were all bought at themThen I got a notice that told me of them were not acceptedI am sure that of were never used/wornAlso they were bought in a year or a halfOther are just worn once or twiceDefinitely in same or similar condition, but they declined and is shipping those items back to me in multiple boxes(They say that they're going to charge shipping cost when they ship unaccepted items back.) They just sold me items that shouldn't be sold at their shop, so they don't accept those when they were consigned in again by a regular customerThey just accept anything from bigger retail businesses, even though item's brands were not on the brand list they usually accept, or with some minor defectThen they sell those as "pristine" conditionI usually bought only "pristine" itemsrejected items were also pristineBut now they were not accepted because I am a just regular customer, not a big retailerThey shouldn't accept any items that they don't want to accept from regular consigners, even from big retailersThey shouldn't say that they will accept items for consigning that are bought at their store before, and in same or similar condition, if they don't want toBig mistakes, big conditional rules and big PARTIALITY! I am so insulted, treated in very unkind wayCustomers, beware!!!! Don't drain your money, time and feelings for this company!

Wonderful company to deal with Great and speedy customer service Attentive and detail oriented Best place to buy and sell luxary items

I have had only negative experiences with the companyThey also embellish about the quality of and wear and tear on the garments or bagsAs a buyer, my most recent purchase was an almost $briefcase that does not open because it is locked and did not come with a keyI have also bought items that were listed as Lanvin, when in fact, they were Lanvin for ***As a consignor, they will mark down your item significantly without notifying you beforehand--so you are stuck with a final sale price that is much lower than what you would otherwise have accepted

I sold multiple items through The RealReal's website (they're an online consignment business)As a result, I received various commission checks between 2015-I moved homes in and misplaced some checks and when I found them about weeks ago, I called and emailed The Real Real and asked them to be reissued since they were too old to be cashed/depositedSince 6/1/17, I have called and emailed The RealReal at least different timesOn 6/22/and on 7/3/17, I received emails from The RealReal stating the checks were going to be mailed to me that day via overnight service - I have yet to receive anythingI called The RealReal again on 7/17/asking for a status of these missing checks and again was told that they'd be sent via overnight mailNothing received yetThis company is a mess and I question the ethics of their business processesI get the runaround from Customer Service and am lied toThey owe me money and I want to be paid asap

I ordered an John Hardy Necklace and the item I received was fakeNot only was it fake but it wasn't even sterling silverI paid over $and the item could not have been valued at more then $ When I tried to return the item using the online instructions I hit a deadens because it said the item was non returnableI have contacted my credit card company to start a dispute

The company started out terrific for consigners, however, its growth spurt has ruined the initial great service offered I have consigned with them in the past without issues and decided to send some more items recently I have submitted two items for consignment on July 5, One of the items was a pair of shoes which was inputted in their system under a wrong designerThe other item is not processed to date, more than a month after I have called numerous times and spoke to various representatives and their response has consistently been the same: “we are working on it, sending emails to our other team and our warehouse is experiencing a back log.” I have asked to speak to the supervisor who is never available and did not return my calls To date, one of my items remains categorized incorrectly and the other is not up on the site New consigners beware, the company is very disorganized and you will wait for an extended period of time to see your items for sale, providing there is no mistake in the listing Very disappointing experience with the Real Real

I purchased a $Louis Vuitton duffle bag in Sept I used it for the first time in Oct and two of the handles brokeWhen I got back into the US - days after my bag broke - I filed a dispute with my credit card company and The Real RealI was told by The Real Real to take the bag to the Louis Vuitton store for repairLouis Vuitton said they no long make the particular leather and cannot repair the itemI called The Real Real back and they took the bag backI was refunded my purchase priceI tried to make a purchase in Julyand my account has been lockedI called to ask whyNo response from Real RealI called back in Sept - still no responseI called again today, 10/and was told my account is locked indefinitely because of the charge backA $bag breaking within the first month is unacceptableInstead of locking my account - the account the consignor should be lockedNOT MINEI asked for the contact information of the Account Manager and was told they can take my information but they are not allowed to give out the information of the AMTerrible policy and terrible customer service!

This is an online consignment storeI sent them a *** purse to consign which they rejected and stated they would return back to me on 04/11/They ended up sending it to my old address in Dallas, TX instead of my current address in Jacksonville, FL which I had already updated with themI contacted them weeks after the expected date of delivery and they said it was sent to my old addressI was able to locate the bag and requested a friend to go pick it up and ship it back to meThey agreed to send me a *** label to cover the shipping cost but the first label expired and the second one they sent to replace it had the incorrect address and the item ended up being shipped back to my old TX address!!! I contacted them again and they were quite rude and refused to update the label and said they would have *** collect the item from TX but this was never doneI contacted *** and they said that RealReal cancelled the pick up and now I cannot locate the bag at allI contacted
