On June 4, I received an email from *** ***, Business Development Representative in regards to an appointment I had planned on June 5, for the valuation of two Louis Vuitton BagsThe email provided additional information on co-signing with *** *** *** and ended with confirmed additional promotions that were being run for commission payment of the certain items that were being cosignedIn the email, *** noted that there was an increased commission structure of 70% for all handbags that were valued above $1,(as opposed to their typical 55% opening commission rate)At my appointment a Valuation Manager noted that this was not validAfter follow up with ***, she noted that she had made a mistake and would not honor the promotion confirmed to me on June 4, After asking for her to confer with her manager, *** ***, Business Development Manager, further confirmed I would not be offered the promotion that was sent to me on June 4, of the increas

I bought a designer bag June 11,for $It was guaranteed AuthenticI sold the handbag on *** and was told my bag could not be verified by the third-party company that authenticates handbagsHere is what they said: Attached are the results that our authenticator informed us that the item is not authentic for the following reasons but are not limited to: - Internal logo is blurry and wrong font - Hardware is not consistent with authentic past or present styles of this brand and model I have since been kicked off ***, a popular site for buying and selling itemsI was told I was selling a fraudulent itemI called *** and asked for proof my item was verified authentic, I wanted it in writing to share with ***I could not get anythingMy designer watch I bought on TheRealReal came with a report of authenticityNothing for my bag and it was not returnable, which now makes me wonder why

DeceivingThe bag shipped to me is brand new, fake, looks just like those from the streets of New York, and it is not used or authentic as claimedThe dust bag is only half size of the bag! The online description does not match with the bag! Say what they want to make a saleWith the bait words 'Final Sale', they ship anything, real or not, and not returnable, they got your money, done!I spent much times on the phone requesting a refund, no luckI then tried to reconsign it back to them and was lied to as they will do after taking all my info for 'consign' it back online and that I will get paid 55% of the sale price in 30-days, and an email confirmation will be on the wayNothing happenedCalled againPromised again and was told 'not to worry, *** will call you and will consign it for you'Next hour, FedEx delivered the same fake bag with no paperwork at all to my doorLies and liesFirst time and last being TheRealReal customerI should have believed their negative reviews on the Revdex.com page! Not worth to dispute from my credit cardMy time is more valuableLesson learned! Real is not RealLike many others, wondering how can business like this last? They don't deserve this one starI lost $to the fake bag that is too embarrassing to carry 9/1/

I called in or around July and cancelled my membership which is $per month, I received an emailed that it was cancelled, I do still have the emailWhile going thru my bills I noticed that they have still been drafting by credit card since thenOn May I called them to discuss this issue and they went into their system and verified that I had cancelled my membership around July 2106, at that point they told me they could only credit me for the current month and that their computer did not let them go back further than that, I advised them that that was not acceptable and that I would like my money back going back to July The gentleman argued with me and said that it was suspicious that I was calling after all these months, I advised them that I had an email notification that it was cancelled and I didn't expect them to continue to debit my accountI asked what I was doing that was suspicious because they have my money and I am asking for it back.he told me he woul

I recently had the displeasure of purchasing a Louis Vuitton bag from TheRealReal - where it is absolutely clear by looking at the bag in person compared to the pictures they had posted (which you can zoom in on), as well as the condition description, they pulled a bait and switch The bag I purchased was described as *Very Good* with minor issues -- what I received is a bag that is at best *Fair* and was heavily used, with Major issues (which they described as minor) The bag shown in the pictures for the item, were very nice and matched the description/condition This is how I am absolutely positive they used different pictures in the posting, for all but the date code, to draw buyers in The unfortunate part -- for me -- they have it marked as non returnable I will be pursuing legal action I have downloaded the pictures they had posted, along with screen captures of the post as supporting documentation
It is important to note, I have purchased twice from them prior with no issues but this is clearly a case of deception that I will not stand for

Very poor transactionGave them a highly desirable limited edition $denim shirt in pristine conditionTold them what it was when I dropped it off at Real Real storeSaid so on the shirt labelThey listed it at $85, and before I could talk to them it was soldThey didn't confirm or investigate what it was or mention it in the descriptionThis is a low price by any standard on the designers website at Real Real Now they won't even return my emailsChange the name of the company to Poor Poor

I ordered skirts back in October of and I did not receive the itemsI made a complaint with RealReal and they sent a *** delivery to the door who claimed that he had delivered the items to the door and forced me to sign a paperworkHe mentioned that if I don't sign the paperwork, that he would get firedSo I went ahead and signed the paperworkI then called ***and was told that signing the paperwork meant that I did in fact receive the package which I did notI then called RealReal and explained the situation to the customer service associate, who then mentioned that I should just report it to my credit card and have them fight itUnfortunately, my credit card company was not able to dispute this with the merchant, so I am filing a report with the Revdex.com as a last resortI hope you will be able to help me get a refund as I still have not received the items!

I am a widowed blind senior I live alone with service dog I was referred by a handbag restorer to their sales rep Their sales rep went into my spare bedroom and removed things for consignment without asking me and without my permission She stuffed things into bags without identifying what she was taking Then, she walked out of the house with bags of my property Fortunately, the entire theft was caught on a surveillance camera She took vintage heirlooms that personally belonged to Coco Chanel, and walked out of the house without looking back When my aide discovered the missing property on their website, I demanded the immediate return of my property I was told that it would "take time" I am planning to press criminal charges

Real Real was an excellent website; very responsiveReturn was quickly processedRepresentatives were polite & filled through

They sold me a fake *** bag in aug When I went to the official *** store they determined that the authenticity was a replica*** confiscated the replica; reached out multiple times to the real real for an exchange because of their policy, but the company refused and accused me of fraudThey blocked my name and address from making future purchases because of THEIR mistakesThe nerve

My first complaint is that there was an unauthorized charged to my *** account with the RealReal.com and when I filed a dispute with *** and the RealReal the found the charges to be accurate and charged my *** account $Once I received the unauthorized purchase the quality of the purse was poorThe purse was described as a "*** *** good used quality" but the over the shoulder strap was ripped and only holding on my the stitchingWhen I realized the defect I contacted the RealReal and was told there was nothing they could do to help rectify the purchaseI requested an exchange or credit to their site and was told there was nothing they could do

** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** ** ** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** ** *** I purchased items that were "final sale" but were not clearly marked final sale When I received these items, they did not fit, and I could not return them I was stuck with junk basically Now I have to send back to The Real Real so that they can consign to someone else I only get 50% of my money back if they sell it It's all really scammy, and I will not use this site again

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/11) */
Unfortunately we cannot give Ms*** the item she purchased because we cannot find itAny warehouse will have a small number of items that can't be foundit's called "shrink"In our business, each item is unique, so if we can't find
the item a customer ordered, we must cancel that itemThat's what happened hereMs*** ordered two items on order #RXXXXXXXXXwe could not find item JILXXXXX, so we notified her and refunded her for that itemWe also provided her a courtesy site credit of $25, which she is apparently mistaking as a $refundThe item has NOT been relisted on our website, as she states, at a higher price, or at allbecause we cannot find it

I purchased a pair of "Gucci" boots from The Real Real What arrived was very clearly not Gucci The soles of the boots are marked with a Gucci label and American sizing I guess it did not seem odd to anyone in the department in charge of certifying authenticity (because the site claims all products are certified "authentic") that a products made by a European designer would have American sizing FRAUD Steer clear It sounds too good to be true because it is

I went on *** after seeing a commercial on tvLater, I had ads pop up from the company on the side of every other site I visitedThe ads had a certain coach purse that I liked that said "buy now for $11" Every time I clicked on that ad, it brought me to the purse and the price was changed to $This is a bait and switch and also advertising which is illegalI sent them an email pointing this out and asking what the price isThey never responded and this morning, the ads are all changed showing the correct priceI have the screen shots to prove what they did I would advise against doing any business with therealreal that uses deceptive business practices to lure potential customers in and then change the priceAlso a business that does not value their reputation with potential customers and could care less bout responding to their emails

The company's return policy expressly states online that returns are excepted days from shipping dateHowever this is a misrepresentation as they count from the date of purchase and not the shipping date to cheat customers on returns as it shortens the return period to less than daysI ordered two items on January 31st which were not shipped until February 1stI attempted to return on February 15th and was barred from returning the items contrary to the company's policy as they counted the day period from the order date of January and not the shipping date of February 1stOn a side note, the items were not received until february 6th and 7th which said return is reasonableMoreover the items are not as represented online which is the basis for the returnThe company is in breach of contract based on their return policy for not allowing a consumer to elect to return items within the stated period is a breach of the company's terms under the agreementMoreover, the UCC

I have had only negative experiences with the companyThey also embellish about the quality of and wear and tear on the garments or bagsAs a buyer, my most recent purchase was an almost $briefcase that does not open because it is locked and did not come with a keyI have also bought items that were listed as Lanvin, when in fact, they were Lanvin for ***As a consignor, they will mark down your item significantly without notifying you beforehand--so you are stuck with a final sale price that is much lower than what you would otherwise have accepted
