I cannot believe that Toshiba has not had the correct battery available for over weeksMy computer is less than months old and the same model is currently being sold and there must be batteries availableIf I accept their "solution" they will just continue to drag their feet and I will not be able to use my laptop as it is meant to be used - without being plugged in to electricityThey need to come up with a battery NOW. "Back order" for over weeks is not acceptable excuse

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. While the company has submitted a check to me (please note your company response is incorrect about this, as they are incorrect about everything), I am dissatisfied with the effort it took to receive any kind of satisfactory response from the companyI experienced customer service personnel who were either actively uncooperative, or would not do the least amount of follow-up, and when I called the company corporate offices, they would only refer me to the escalation person, who would not take further action, and would not let me speak to any other manager or executive at that locationcustomer service personnel were unhelpfulCompany admits they have a complete record of my contacts going back months, but can not explain why they were never replied toThe executive at the corporate offices who finally did assist me, said that the behavior by company personnel was completely improper and could not adequately explain why I had been given the runaround. At most corporations, there may be a slipup, but any kind of complaint would usually result in rapid action, and that was not the case with Toshiba who did not even cooperate with the retail store who intervened on my case, and whose personnel seemed to go out of their way not to assist me and deflect further inquiryI discussed this at length with their corporate officer, but still have no understanding as to why this occurred this way, although he did say he would try to find out why the company's staff were not responding effectivelyNormally, I would consider a case like this closed, but not when staff actions are so grossly ineffective and unsympathetic to the customerEspecially in the case of rebates, where companies have a vested interest in not paying out the amounts properly, there needs to be much more scrutiny of their actionsThe average person would not be willing to do the follI did, because the money is not worth the effort, which would generally mean they would never receive their rebate
Also, in most cases all emails and phone calls to the company were not responded to, until I tried to contact the company by unconventional means

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. They said that the one year manufacture warranty expired, and that “they” consider the
matter closedThis is unacceptable because they avoided the issue which is that they produced a defective part which causes a backlight issue with the TVIn addition to the $dollars I also paid for the
extended warranty so it’s months past coverageIt would be a different
matter if I was the only person with this issueHere are several links which they should read along with the hundreds of other complaints online about this model:

How about a review from CNET? and I quote "The backlight can fluctuate slightly between light and dark material."
***
If "Toshiba” had ethics they would address this question: Did you produce a defective part in this model of TV which results in a LED issue?
In closure, I wonder if they will shove the warranty issue in my face again or will they take ownership in a product they produced?
P.Syou also have a PDF document from me that is sent as to how they promote the product, it obviously didn't last like they said it would. My complaint is not conjecture, it's fact that they advertise above and beyond what that model of TV delivers.
Should I expect any more opportunities to respond or is this matter permanently closed as a loss?

I am not satisfied with this response from Toshiba (TAIS)I called TAIS regarding my computer problem and their Repairs/Diagnostic Service Department informed me that the battery needed to be replacedBased on this I purchased a new battery from Toshiba for $This new battery did nothing for the computer as it still would not turn onToshiba makes faulty products that do not warrant their high prices and lack of customer service.
