[While the recitation of their posted policy is appreciated, they also post the following: "Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course designed to test physical strenght and mental grit. Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, YET SAFE, world class obstacles they wont find anywhere else." This statement appears on their web site and inaccurately represents that the event is SAFE.My request for a refund is not based on an injury, scheduling conflict or any of the other reasons intimated in their policy. As publicized in the media, they cannot guanrantee the safety of the event. Once their apparent negligence came to light, a refund was promptly requested. The only acceptable and simplest resolution is a full refund. Thanks and apologies that this back and forth continues. ]

The customer has been sent the instructions to transfer his registration to 2015 and put it on hold until we launch the Colorado 2015 event. Customer should be satisfied but can respond to ticket #[redacted] for more help.

Dealing with the customer service of this organization has been the primary issue all along. The fact it took the Revdex.com to get involved to get a response (which was immediate once the Revdex.com got involved) is completely out of line. I could have received a "no" on the fee waiver months ago and settled for that. Tough Mudder has issued a transfer but in my opinion, things have already escalated. I should never have had to get the Revdex.com involved to finally get the attention of this company that has ignored any realistic response to my contact for 3 months. I received a note from the company that they do not issue refunds yet that's exactly what I'm seeking. If they refuse to issue the refund, then their response will still be rejected by me as a dissatisfied customer.

because:

[The transfer fees were not waived. Part of the fees were waived, but there is another portion of the fees that were not refunded after a verbal agreement was made to refund them.  I have copies of those e-mails attached, I believe that may assist the business in remembering the promise that was made.  Also, the transfer fee waiver response doesn't address the fact that several cordially written e-mails with legitimate complaints and concerns have been deliberately ignored.  I've also attached the second e-mail that I sent which never received a response.]

I will not mark my complaint as "resolved" because Tough Mudder failed to provide a respectable solution. They did not hold up their end of the business agreement. This is robbery. Half of the obstacles were closed due to weather, no photographs for the same reason, and they failed to provide emergency care to those who needed it. If any other business did not provide the service as advertised they would not receive payment. Tough Mudder requires payment up front and then hides behind a "no refund" clause intended to hold the attendee responsible should they not be able to make it for their own personal reasons. The clause does not give the company the right to take peoples money and not provide the service they offered. This is ridiculous. Might as well just say here pay $200-$300, the race will be between 10 and 20 km, it may have between 5-20 obstacles, there's no guarantee we'll have photos of your event, and safety is not guaranteed but by the way there are no refunds, Take your chances! But of course no one would pay for the event if they knew this is how you are treated once they have your money. So no... my complaint was not resolved, and tough Mudder has made it very clear, it never will be resolved. Because that's how they do "business".

The TM reps are pointing to the T&Cs that are signed when the general race is paid for well before the event as an all inclusive waiver of rights to literally anything that occurs on the property. However, the baggage drop area is not specifically stated within these terms and conditions. In addition, when paying the additional fee to leave my personal belongings in the care of tough mudder employees within a covered area, there is an implication that my bag would be protected from theft and damage. If the baggage drop area was offered as a free service, I would not pursue compensation for my damaged property.

Hi,
This case was not resolved. I was out of the country with out access to email or phone from June ** 2015 to July * 2015. Tough Mudder responded to my original complain that it was being handled through TM customer support. Again this is not the case because they do not respond to any of my emails, or acknowledge any of the questions that are in my complaint. I want this handled through Revdex.com due to severe lack of response from Tough Mudder and the fact that I am unable to contact them because they will not supply a phone number or answer emails. I was send a response to my complaint from Tough Mudder on July [redacted] stating that I had 4 days to respond to them. I was unable to due to not having access to email or phone. They did not answer any of my questions from my complaint sent to them nor did they try to resolve any of the problems or offer a refund, they simply stated that even though they have a option on their website for a transfer it may not be open. I am still requesting a full refund and that this case be re opened. This has been dragging out since the middle of May 2015 and it is not the last day in July 2015.

Tough Mudder has provided the customer with two different options to transfer to an event next year. We are awaiting his response on what option works best for him.

I've been trying to get ahold of this company for weeks after a registration error.

I still have heard nothing from them

The business is still offering to transfer my ticket to next year. I do not want to participate in their event any longer. I am not sure what I am supposed to do. I was injured last year and pregnant this year. How many tries should I be making. I didn't participate or use any of their services.

The business refuses to refund our money. They want to give me a credit for another event. Withdrawal from the original event was due to all the publicized safety issues and the accident someone had during one of their events. Why would I want a credit to participate in a future event.
