Awesome experience, the TRED team literally is there for help with any question anytime and always has the right answer for you. It is a straightforward process and very easy to sell your vehicle with exposure to a larger audience than you would normally have access to.

The whole team at TRED was phenomenal! They made what can be an overwhelming process seamless! I would definitely recommend using TRED to sell your car!

Seemed very professional; thoroughly vetted myself and my vehicle which I appreciated because there are so many scams going around right now.

Amazing company, best way to sell your car! The company is very responsive and very helpful!

I was in the market fo buy a car and found the car I wanted on Facebook. After agreeing to a deal with the seller, I found out the seller was leasing the vehicle and needed to get out of the lease in order to sell the vehicle to me. I was worried this process was going to be very complicated and hard to do in addition to the fear of being scammed. So, I researched online and found TRED. I contacted them, spoke with John and he made me feel comfortable and put all my worries at ease. I contacted the seller and he agreed to use TRED to complete the transaction. TRED handled everything from processing my loan from my bank, to working with the sellers leasing company to make sure he was bought out of the lease so the sell was able to be completed. TRED would send detailed instructions for every step, including all the documents that needed to be signed and sent back to them. TRED handled everything! Everyone I spoke with at TRED was polite, and answered all my questions, even the trivial ones. I started the process on 3/3 and on 4/15, I had the registration paperwork from the DMV showing the vehicle registered in my name. This was a very easy process and it made me feel comfortable knowing I would not be scammed by buying a vehicle online, plus I was able to buy the vehicle I wanted for less than the cost at a typical dealership. I would certainly use TRED again.

I attempted to sell my car on my own and didn’t have much luck. I listed with TRED and the car sold for asking in 3 weeks. They took care of all the paperwork and made the process simple. I recommend them to anyone selling a car by owner.

I would highly recommend TRED to anyone. The entire process was painless. John went out of his way to make sure all questions I had were answered in a very timely manner. You get the benefits (price)of dealing with a private party sale while getting great perks (loan rates) of working with a dealership. I cannot say enough positive things about TRED.

Every car should be bought this way! I don't normally do this sort of thing, but I was so impressed with how effortless the transaction was that I have to share my experience buying a car through TRED. Just not having to wait at a dealership and sit in a DMV all day is reason enough to use TRED. I would like to thank their entire team for all their hard work and excellent service. I will definitely be using them again!

Tred did all the work by listing my Corvette on all major online car selling websites which let to the sale. Excellent customer service with great phone support. With Tred I could not be happier.

Tred was super easy to use. Very quick and efficient. The car was a great price. Mailing my paperwork was easy with the prepaid envelope and the meet up spot. I have my car and now im just waiting for title and everything. Thank you so much for making this so smooth and seamless.

As a buyer the experience was really easy. If I need to sell a car, I will definitely check out Tred.

I felt more confident listing my car with TRED than other services I used in the past (e.g. Craigslist). TRED helped me with pricing my car, and the comms between seller/buyer was also excellent.

I was shocked at how easy the process was. Financing was a piece of cake. I never thought I’d buy a car through an app, but now I’m convinced. This is the Airbnb of car sales. I see a big future for this company!

I had an excellent experience with TRED purchasing a used Tesla Model S. TRED customer support was very helpful, quick response, and made the entire process of purchasing a car with them very easy. They also followed up after the sale to ensure I was happy with their service. I like how they act as an escrow sort of company for your money so it is safer to ensure your transaction with the private seller is secure and legitimate. I highly recommend TRED and will use them again.

It was very easy to get my car listed on all the car selling websites, and any questions I had were quickly answered by their customer service number. They have step by step instructions for how to move through the selling experience via the app or online in the browser. The best part, and the reason I signed up was, they handle all the paperwork including validating the payment from the buyer (which if you've ever sold a car, this a huge help), paying off my loan and wiring the proceeds to my bank account, and getting the registration / odometer reading paperwork and getting it to the DMV. Well worth the fee. Second car I've sold with them.

I've never been treated so poorly from a company I've worked with. Slow process, repeated requests for information I'd already sent. When I complained I had the horror of there employee whine about how hard her life is, and the owner email and tell me "it's obviously I don't understand the newfangled" procedure of buying a car online??? Really??

In my price bracket the charge was $9 to list the car and $99 when they get the car sold. They list in a lot of places so that sounds like great value BUT:
I got very very little interest through their listings, I am still not sure why, all the interest (over 90%) came from my own listings on FB marketplace and CraigsList. I was still fine with this, since it only cost $9. After I sold the car, completely outside of TRED I was charged the full $99. I was given absolutely ZERO notification of this, no message, email, invoice, nothing. I just noticed it on my CC charges. When I complained I was referred to a section at the bottom of the terms of use smallprint which says that if you get any contact with a potential buyer at all this fee applies. It is hugely different from their main advertising upfront. So be aware that what you are buying is not getting your car sold, not anywhere near that, you are just buying one message... They then fought me on it and told me I was getting great value.

Worst Experience EVER!!!!
Listed my car on Tred, told them in the beginning about paper work, assured me that it wasn't a problem. Then two weeks later after TWO accepted offers, (but buyers didnt qualify) they told me they had to take my car down. The issue is communication, as well as them taking over all of my listings that were previously online. I.E ***, ***, ETC. Since they used these platforms I was unable to relist my vehicle because they received to much interest about the car. Crazy right? This has been the worst experience EVER!!! Their customer service is great, but their communication is terrible. They need a better Vetting process, I honestly think their main goal is not to sell your car but to sell car loans. They press potential buyers to take the loan out from Tred, and when they dont qualify, you the car owner suffers. A word of advice, DONT SELL YOUR CAR THRU TRED. I was told to relist my vehicle once the title came, I received title a few days ago, I relisted the car only wake up the next day to the ad deleted and a text message apologizing because Tred was unable to relist my car, "my car does not fit on their platform" Like really, I have a 2006 CLS500 Mercedes Benz in pristine condition, it what world does this not fit on a -platform?

Hi ***,
Thank you for the feedback and apologies for the delay a response to this review. We spoke shortly afterwards, but this review slipped through the cracks.
In your case there were issues with the title of your vehicle and our ability to prove you legally owned and were subsequently entitled to sell it it. This happened due to an undisclosed loan that we discovered later in our process than we should have. That is 100% our fault, we should have caught this sooner.
When we were unable to verify ownership of the vehicle legally we asked for title documents from you, which you were unable to provide to our satisfaction. As a result, your listing was removed. As a reminder, you paid nothing for the service and and we ate all expenses on the short lived listing.
I spoke with you personally on a number of occasions and would have loved to keep your listing on the site, but we have to protect our buyers and well as our sellers.
Thank you for taking the time to review, we wish you the best moving forward.

I went to the Tred.com website after seeing their advertisement on a car on my commute home. I clicked the button to get an estimate, thinking I could find out a bit about possible prices for the car I am considering selling. Instead it walked me through a full sign up of their site as if I was ready to sell. I finished about 80% of the process thinking at least I could access it later if I decided to use the service.
By the next day I was receiving 3-4 emails per day, plus phone calls and text messages. I also immediately started receiving a very large number of spam messages, which I can only assume are from Tred selling email addresses from users (as I rarely get any spam through gmail).
This seems like a useful service to facilitate car shopping, but with these sorts of predatory sales practices, I am no longer interested in pursuing it further.

we are so sorry that you had a frustrating experience with our followup messages. They do have the standard opt-out links, but sometimes it can take 24 hours or so for systems to update those preferences.
Please know that we're available on the phone and via website chat 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, so if you ever have any concerns like this, we'd love to hear about it directly first, so we can take care of it right away. We definitely don't want anyone to be frustrated!
As for any spam messages, we can assure you that wasn't related to TRED. We'll never sell or give your information to anyone else, and we maintain top industry security standards to protect all of our customers' information.

TRED acts as a go between between the seller and buyer of a car. I arranged a test drive through TRED with an owner. The car was offered by the owner for $10,500, 2016 Kia Forte, EX hatchback. The price had gradually dropped just over $13,000. I drove 23 miles to the test drive site to meet at 1:00 but nobody showed, I looked at the car but couldn't review the vehicle inside or test drive. I called TRED they informed me the owner cancelled at 11:00 just two hours earlier. I arranged for another test drive and offered the full asking price of $10,500 contingent on the test drive. The owner responded that he wanted to sell the car because he was possibly leaving the country 1 to 2 months BUT the car wouldn't be available until then. He asked when I would need the car. I responded, If the test drive went well I would then take possession that day. He responded, I am not ready to sell the car for another month or two. I reported these conversations with TRED, which were available on the TRED chatline, they stated he shouldn't be advertising the vehicle unless he was willing to sell. Today the vehicle is being advertised by TRED for $13, 269 one day later. Bad business, shady dealing.

This customer is absolutely correct, this vehicle should not have been listed on our platform. We have taken it down. Additionally, we are working to add a feature that will allow our active sellers to notify us when they will be out of town or otherwise unable to show their vehicle to prospective buyers. This feedback was super helpful for us.

TRED is attempting to deceive anyone reading this comment into believing TRED did the righteous thing. It was taken down because the owner sold the vehicle through TRED. TRED continued the advertisement of the vehicle even after they stated and I quote, "this vehicle should not have been listed on our platform." Not only did they not take down this advertisement, as they have led you to believe, they allowed the owner to raise the price of the vehicle from $10,500 to $13,329. This was 1/10 a day after I had made an offer for the "full asking price" of $10,500 and had an approved and scheduled test drive for 1/13 which was verified and approved through TRED and set by the owner. The owner, after advertising with TRED for over a month claimed via the TRED chatline the vehicle wouldn't be available for possibly 1-2 months, yet sold the vehicle two days later, Friday 1/12 represented by TRED.

As for the seller being able to contact TRED to notify the seller when the owner will be out of town. That feature is already available. The owner can contact the seller at any time as can the buyer contact the seller. On Friday 1/5 the owner through TRED scheduled a test drive at 1:00 Sunday 1/7. The buyer through TRED requests the time and place for the test drive it is the owner who accepts or negotiates an alternate time and place, through TRED. This owner just after 11:00 less than 2 hours before the scheduled test drive, he approved and accepted, sent and email through TRED and cancelled via the TRED chatline. He also had our phone number, also sent via the TRED chatline, but never called. It was the seller who then negotiated a new test drive for 1/13 the following Saturday. The test drive was canceled because the car sold 1/12.

TRED ownership is unethical and by making false statements in an attempt to deceive potential customers to cover their error makes them look even more shady.
