Tru Force Pest Control Reviews (76)

We've had Truforce for nearly 6 months and our bug problem has not been resolved. They have re-sprayed 3-4 times and have yet to fix the problem. When we tried to cancel the service they offered us another spraying and a month of free service. We accepted and the technician never came to re-spray. We called again to cancel and this time they offered 2 months free and a cheaper monthly rate. When we declined they said a "supervisor" would have to get back to us. He never did. So we've been trying to cancel our service for 2 months now and have had 0 luck, but we're most definitely still getting billed. We have informed our bank to not allow this company to withdraw from our account anymore. Extremely poor customer service and a terrible product.

Review: TruForce Pest Control: I signed up for home pest control service, and I still having issues with bugs at my house.

This company is charging me account $29.99 per month but they have not shown up to my house in over a month.

I sent a written letter to them stating that I want to cancel my account. I got a phone call back from a supervisor named [redacted] stating I would have to call first before he would cancel my contract. I called and they still want cancel my contract. Instead I'm told I have to pay a cancellation fee. When I signed up for this home pest control service I was told I could cancel at any point if I'm not satisfied with the service. I'm not required by law to call and send a cancellation letter to cancel a contract.

There are several complaints about this company, and the bad service that they provide.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for two months of service and I want my contract to be cancelled immediately. In addition I want an written apology from the manager!

Response:

[redacted],We are so sorry to hear that feedback from you. Typically, we can resolve your pest concerns within three to four services. Occasionally, we do need to send our technician back to spot treat or retreat any infested areas. We back all of our treatments with free unlimited re-services so you do not have any additional charges besides the regular monthly payments. I called and left you a voice mail on November 21st trying to resolve your pest concerns. I then received a cancellation letter in the mail from you and returned your letter with another phone call on November 25th, which I left you a voice mail stating that I was hoping to discuss your pest concerns, but that since you had requested a cancellation of services I would take care of any fees and close your account. Immediately after hanging up the phone, I closed your account as requested. I do apologize for any inconveniences that you have experienced, and we want all of our customers to know that we are willing to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you. Thank you![redacted]

Regards,

Nothing but negative feedback! This company's customer service is horrible. I have received service from them for almost 1 year and does not seem to keep pests away. They did not come out and spray in winter months but I was still charged for the service. Never once received a physical bill and/or email or phone call but was told our information was going to be sent to a bill collector because we had not paid due to CC info had changed. Tried to cancel service due to military move and was told I needed to pay for 2 months past date of cancellation. I was not told it was a cancellation fee, but need to pay for those months due to some type of "quarterly billing" cycle. Why would I pay for service for months that I am not even living there? My husband called to resolve the issue and asked to speak to the owner but never received a call back but did receive a statement in the mail weeks later. I have not received another bill, phone call, email or any other information. I refuse to pay for service that is not rendered yet at a home I no longer live in. Billing issues need to be resolved with this company and customer service needs to be stepped up. I DO NOT recommend this company!

Moved in with my wife's aunt temporarily while looking for a house. I have never experienced the bugs of az but my first day I found a huge brown recluse, two black widows and a ton of ants. I don't know if there are scorpions out here but with an infant I am crazy worried about it. TruForce has treated my wife's aunts house since we moved in on a recommendation from a friend and they are extremely thorough! Almost instantly I saw decrease in the spiders and ants and it has just given me such peace of mind. So far they seem clean cut and professional and my wife's aunt who has lived in the area forever commented on how through they are compared to other companies she's had. No complaints here, when we buy our house, my wife's aunt and we will both be customers.

DON'T CHOOSE ANY OTHER PEST CONTROL COMPANY!! This place is the absolute best at what they do. Their products are the best of the best and they really do the job! You can say bye to any type of bugs or mice or any pest for that matter. Their technicians are top notch professionals and know exactly what they are talking about. They're very educated on their products and have a solution for every issue. All of the office staff are extremely helpful and informative and have helped with any problems I have encountered. I really recommend this company to anyone looking to get rid of any unwanted pests!

I have had a great experience with TruForce for the past two years or so that Ive been with them. They are always helpful! They had some hiccups in the past but they hired a new quality assurance manager and fired some bad technicians. They had me evaluate technicians and send in my reports to the manager to tell him how the techs do. The tech didnt know I was evaluting him either. They really seem like they want customers opinions on how their business is doing which shows me that they are transparent and willing to show their true stripes because they are confident that improvements will be made. They definitely have my business.

Review: Depictive practices. signed a one year contract for service. they sometimes show up. Went to cancel my contract and they say because I didn't file a 30 day notice before my one year contract was up it automatically renews and I have the pay the full amount of the second year contract to cancel service. Door to door salesman never told me thisDesired Settlement: I would like the 89.00 that I had to pay to get out of contract and they should have to rewrite there contract

Review: I and several of my neighbors were sold pest control service with truforce around June 11th 2014. The service I was sold included monthly visits, cleanup, and general pest control services which can be found here: [redacted]/

Of these advertised services I have only been provided with basic entry point protection and a few bait stations. Both of which have been completely ineffective in getting my mouse problem under control. The main selling point that got me to sign up was cleanup of the mouse droppings which I was told would be part of my service. After 2 visits this has never been done. This is even advertised as part of their service in the link I previously provided: “While getting rid of unwanted pests is and always will be one of our main focuses, we also ensure we clean up what pests leave behind.”

Furthermore, the service was completely ineffective in solving my mouse problem. In the 2 months of service I received I had found over 20 mice in my home. About 3 weeks ago I decided to investigate the issue myself and determined where the entry points were, I have since plugged them with 4 dollars worth of steel wool and have not had a since mouse in our residence since.

On top of this, no one even bothered to show up or contact me for my monthly visit in August even though I was charged for the visit.

After speaking with my neighbors I have learned that there is an outrageous 200 dollar cancellation fee that they were charged when they cancelled their service due to issues similar to mine.

So in summary, the issues with the service are the following:

-Service was completely ineffective at solving my mouse problem.

-The service provided was less than advertised by the sales team (mouse feces were never cleaned up, I had to do this myself after two months.)

-I was charged for a visit in august that never happened.

-I was never informed that there would be a large cancellation fee if I terminated service.Desired Settlement: My only request is that I not be charged a cancellation fee for a service that was not delivered upon. I simply wish to part ways. Anything short of this will not satisfy my complaint.

Response:

I am very sorry to hear that we were not able to help with the mouse problem. I would love to get a manager out to your home and clean and prevent any future problems. Thanks you for reaching out and we will take this very seriously. Thanks

Review: Contacted TruForce pest control 1st time Oct-2015 for no service rendered but was billed 2 times. I was credited back the $ on my credit card and contacted the credit card company. 15-Mar-2016 TruForce billed my credit card for service not rendered. Contacted Truforce to cancel account, no trust in what ever scam they are pulling. Contacted the credit card co. and they refunded the charge. Truforce is still sending e-mails with a balance of 75.98 as of 30-Mar-2016. Initially I never signed a contract with them. And that was the agreement when they swiped my card for spraying. They have not serviced my yard since Aug-2015 and they are still billing me on monthly basis. This is fraudulent.Desired Settlement: Cancel account:ID[redacted] as requested and clear any "made up" service charges and late fees.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved and cleared. I'am not interested in doing any future business.

Regards,

I have been using Truforce pest control for two years now. If I've had an issue with billing they are happy to help work out any problems that I may have. They are most friendly and helpful. I have had several young men service my home and spray for insects. One that has given exceptional service is [redacted]. He has worked for the company about a year. The first time he came,I showed him the hotspots for scorpions. He remembers each of these places each month and finds new ones and makes sure the spraying and dusting for spiders, crickets and especially nasty scorpions is taken care of. [redacted] is friendly, respectful with a keen eye to have Truforce live up to its reputation to eliminate scorpions and black widows. Use this company and I recommend [redacted] highly for his professional expertise.

I dont typically get on and write reviews, especially something positive. But I really feel I need to because Tru Force pest control has been the only company that got rid of ALL of our scorpions. We have lived in North Mesa for a long time now and have forever had scorpion issues. We tried EVERYTHING to get rid of these scorpions!!! We have used so many companies! But a nice young man came to our door and I figured we have tried every other company lets try them now. Ive been going out every night with my black light and I havent seen a single scorpion. I would defiantly refer Tru Force to anyone!

We have had Tru Force Pest Control for the past year. This company has been very easy to work with and provides a great service. The technicians that have sprayed our home have been very knowledgable and respectful. We had major scorpion problems at the begining of the year and have seen a drastic decrease since Tru Force has been spraying. I would give this company an A rating.

I signed up for this service last year based on the presentation and information that they provided to me in my new neighborhood At first the service was wonderful for the first couple of months and after the first couple of months the customer service has been going down immensely. I have scheduled appointments with the company and the service technicians do not show up for the scheduled appointment, the company does not return phone calls or give customers the courtesy that the service technician had an emergency, or they just show up at times that are convenient for them not at the scheduled service time that was made with the customer. I am really dissatisfied with the service that I have been getting from TruForce Pest Control and you are not allowed the opportunity to stop the service because they have bound you to a two year contract with them that is not clearly stated when you sign up for the service.

Review: Both the sales associate with Truforce and the person who recommended the company (the owners wife) told me the service cost $34.99 per month. What they failed to mention was that you paid $34.99 in the months when you do not receive service. I knew it was a bi-monthly service which, since I do not have a pest problem, seemed fine. What was never made clear is that the service call's true cost is $69.98 not $34.99. I am very disappointed in the ethics of this company and their misleading sales practices.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to discontinue this practice so others will not be mislead. I would also like to be released from my contract so I can find a more reputable company.

Response:

My General Manager Scott got ahold of [redacted]; he explained everything to her was able to keep her on as a customer. It was just a miscommunication on everyone's part. But everything has been corrected. She said that she would go on as soon as she can to rewrite her Revdex.com Statement. Please let me know if you have any other concerns.

Review: I signed for a one year contract w/ Tru Force Pest control and gave notice to them that I didn't want to continue with their service after the one year obligation and they sent me an email confirmation as such and they still scheduled services for the following month. I called them to remind them of cancellation and they said it was a mistake and that they would not treat my property. They didn't treat property but they did bill me, so I called them again and they stated "they would send me a check". After two weeks of waiting for check I contacted [redacted] to get a credit back which they did and then finally the check comes in the mail. I then called Tru Force back and told them that I would cash the check and have [redacted] credit them back the $29.99 which they did. Now Tru Force Pest Control keeps sending me an email stating that I owe them the $29.99 and that they are going to charge me late fees if I don't pay them.Desired Settlement: For Tru-Force Pest Control to stop sending me a bill which I don't owe.

Thank You Very Much.

We appreciate the feedback and we are sorry to hear about the problems you are having with our billing system. There must have been some sort of mix-up with the recurring billing, and we will be sure to take a closer look as to why you kept receiving those notifications. Please accept our sincerest apologies with this issue. We have reviewed the account and found that you do not have an unpaid balance with TruForce Pest Control. We have deleted the bill on file so you will no longer be receiving a late payment notification. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you. Sincerely,TruForce Pest Control

Review: Mrs. X maintains that on 6/21/14, a sales representative from Tru Force Pest Control (TFPC) solicited door-to-door and made fraudulent claims that were false and misleading and coerced her into signing a contract. She also maintains that TFPC failed to execute on agreed services and that TFPC has therefore been in breach of contract for the past 6 months.

False and Misleading Claims (Fraud):

• Claimed superiority to products used by Mrs. X’s current pest control provider

• Claimed would come monthly vs quarterly with a “big” truck and spray “everybody who signed up in the neighborhood” with organically safe product

• Claimed that they would spray inside and outside on every visit

• Claimed that they would remove spider webs and sweep on every visit.

Breach of Contract

• Failure to address spider concerns. In fact, Mrs. X experienced an increase in the presence of spiders and/or spider webs since switching to TFPC

• Failure to spray “inside” as well as “outside” the home as claimed at the time of solicitation

• Failure to remove cobwebs/sweep after spraying on every visit

• Failure to provide notification or an itemized list of services rendered

Poor to no business records. Mrs. X does not recall if a copy of the contract was provided ([redacted] verbally communicated that he would email a copy of the contract on 12/23/14). TFPC did routinely text Mrs. X to inform her that a service representative would be spraying; however, she only recalls seeing a mini-sized FTPC pick-up truck arrive 2 times (out of the 6-7 in which we were charged). She has no way of verifying whether they were here and did or did not spray; however, if indeed they did spray, she maintains that they left cobwebs. They unequivocally did not spay inside the home on said visits.

Poor billing records. On 12/22/14, Mrs & Mr X received a text message that there was an unpaid balance on their account. A notification of an outstanding balance was not previously provided. Upon review of records, 5 payments have been made to TFPC starting on 6/21. There was a breach of security on the credit card in which FTPC was charging, so a bill totaling $78.98 for November and December was indeed outstanding. On 12/23/14, Mr. X set-up bill pay to make a one-time immediate payment, which is anticipated to arrive on 12/31/14. Mr. X texted [redacted] to notify him that the payment was made and that services are to be cancelled.

On 12/23/14, Mrs. X called [redacted] and requested to cancel TFPC’s service as they have failed to successfully execute on their agreement. She explained the false claims and breach of contract items. [redacted] was apologetic and said that they had 2 new service men who came out the last 2 visits. He said that he could provide 2 free visits, but that if she cancelled shed would incur a $179 cancellation fee. He also explained that he was not authorized to terminate contracts and that we would have to speak to a manager, but none are available.

Immediately following the phone call, Mr. X visited the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) website and read the 7 outstanding complaints, most of which mirrored those experienced by the X family. [redacted] Mr X immediately called [redacted] multiple times and was able to connect. Again [redacted] explained that he would have to speak to a manager and that none were available. Mr X informed [redacted] that the “speak to a manager” tactic was identified as one of the complaints on the better Revdex.com website. Mr. X said that he expects a call back from a manager within an hour or he himself will lodge a complaint to the Revdex.com. Mr. X also maintained that if he does not hear back from a manager with 24 hours, he may pursue additional actions.Desired Settlement: Termination of contract. and waiver of $179 cancellation fee.
