Thank you so much for your business. We love to hear that our customers are happy. Please tell all your friends and family about your experience.

Great service! We have used Metro Energy for many years! Careful and very pleasant. Highly recommended.

I have been with metro Energy Savers since 1999. They have done a wonderful job in keeping systems working great.

MES initially installed my entire unit. I was the COLDEST day of the year but the men did their job without complaint. Once they were finished,
another crew arrive and added additional insolation, at no charge. Since, the MES has maintained my heating/ac system on a semi annual basic. Crews have always been polite and professional. Plus, MES
services my unit 24/7 - no matter what weather conditions exist. I couldn't be more satisfied. Thank you MES.

This is the way honest people do business. Every tech has explained what they are doing and given us options when available. We were lucky enough to find MES when we saw one of there trucks 10 years ago, have been members of their maintance program since then. These are HONEST people.

Price gouging. Charged 10 times what part sells for at retail plus service fee.
Price was disclosed after repair was done so customers have little bargaining room.
Will not use them again.

Very professional. They explained everything thoroughly before they began. We have used this company for several years now & feel they are trustworthy.

professional/ knows what he is doing and gets the repair done. Pleasent. I use this company for over 3 years. Never disappointed.

I had my heating system inspected and a capacitor replaced on 1-31-2020. Herbert was my tech. He did a great job explaining everything. He was very professional and courteous and respectful of our property. I have used Metro Energy Savers for several years and they have always done an excellent job.

Thank you for your 5 Star Review! We appreciate your business and we look forward to serving you in the future as our loyal customer!

I have been using Metro Energy Savers since 2006. I had 2 Lenox Heat Pump Systems installed in 2006, and eventually had to replace one of them with a Dakin about 2 years ago. I will not get into pros and cons of the two brands, just mention that MES has some great techs and customer service personnel that I have worked with over years. Herbert is a great tech that I have been working with lately.
When I had the Daikin installed about 2 yrs ago, had issues with the install and system, some which were frustrating. But they stood by their work and worked with me get things resolved in a timely manner.

In reviewing our records, Cynthia W called Metro Energy Savers on 8/21/19 stating that water was leaking from a ceiling vent into her bathroom. At that time, she was quoted $76.00 for the diagnostic fee, which she agreed to. Therefore, a technician was dispatched to her home. Upon arrival at her home and prior to beginning his work, the customer initialed the invoice authorizing the charge of $76.00.
After going into the attic and assessing the situation of the leak going into the bathroom, the technician provided customer with the following diagnosis "duct system insulation has been torn by animals - probably raccoons - therefore, creating the condensation leak." He advised customer that he would consult the service manager to produce a quote for the ductwork.
On 8/23/19, our service manager called to discuss the proposed work and to set up a time to draw up the ductwork design. At that time, Cynthia W accused the original technician of causing the condensate drain leak. The service manager advised customer that it was not possible since she has an upflow system located in the closet downstairs. Therefore, the drain line never enters the attic, and that the original technician never came in contact with any drain line since his only diagnostic came from trying to locate the leak coming thru the ceiling vent into the customer's bathroom from the attic.
At that time, Ms. W cancelled any further follow up visits and the estimate for repairing/replacing her duct work.
In conclusion: Metro Energy Savers does not owe any refund to this customer.
1) Customer called for service - not an estimate. 2) we advised customer of $76 diagnostic fee upfront, she accepted and paid the $76 by check before the technician left her home. 4) we attempted to follow up to provide a quote on duct work to correct the issues but were denied the opportunity.

On September 17, 2015, Metro Energy Savers replaced one of my A/C units with a new Lennox Ziston System Coil, Condenser, per the work order. The replacement was required due to a broken fan in the old unit. The system was installed with new theromstats provided for both of my units. The system ran fine for about four years. (I had a Home Warranty policy at this time with Total Protect that covered both A/C units. We called Metro Energy our A/C service team. I was out of town and did not have the contact information with me for Total Protect. Upon my return, I reached out to Total Protect to see if they would reimburse me for the replacement of the unit. I was advised to submit the receipts. I did, but they denied the claim because I used an out of network provider.)

On June 10, 2019, Metro Energy Savers came to do the annual maintenance on both A/C units. At this time, they performed a basic coil cleaning on the new Lennox system and added 2 lbs of coolant.

On July 12 or 14, 2019, the Lennox unit began blowing hot air. I called my Home Warranty to send a repair person. They sent ***. I paid my $125 deductible. The gentleman who performed the service was very pleasant. Stayed for about 30 minutes or so and had the unit blowing cold air. He replaced a contactor and added 3 lbs of coolant. At this time, he told me the unit was a ‘heat pump’ and I have a gas furnace inside? He wanted to know why a heat pump was installed with a gas furnace. Not being an A/C tech, I could not answer that question. He further stated the wiring was not correctly done when the Lennox heat pump was installed as there were only two wires and there should be at least five wires. He suggested I contact the company that did the install. I had to go out of town again, so I did not get a chance to contact Metro Energy Savers.

On July 26, 2019, the Lennox unit began blowing hot air again. I called Total Protect. They sent out *** on a recall. The gentleman was very pleasant. He was not the person who came out previously but had been informed on the situation with the unit. He looked at the unit and the gas furnace. He said the problem was caused by the incorrect wiring at installation and it was not their issue. He suggested I contact the company that installed the unit. He did not leave a work order. I called Metro Energy Savers. The person I spoke with was very pleasant and interested in getting the issue resolved. I did not have a work order from ***, so I told Metro Energy Savers I would get with *** to get the exact wording for the issue and get back with them.
On July 29, 2019, I received the following email from the office of ***:
Found lost low vlt control wire power. 2 wire
Need to replace thermostat wire from furnace to condenser.
Cost 325$
Note,,, customer had existing strait cool split with encased coil and gas furnace. Had company outside of warranty knowledge to replace system 4 years ago. Company replaced system with heat pump and gas furnace, kept existing t stat 2 wire and jumped condenser to operate ..

After receiving this information, I called Metro Energy Savers. They sent out two techs to do a diagnosis as a second opinion at no cost. They were there for three hours. Their work order reads:

Came out on 2nd opinion. According to notes from ***, they replaced contactor. It appears that when that work was done they touched low voltage wiring to line voltage because now the thermostat, furnace cont board and low voltage wiring is bad.

I called Total Protect while Metro Energy Savers was at my home. I spoke with ***. I advised him of the situation. He said to contact Mr. and they would come back to repair. I emailed ***:

I spoke with my warranty company last night. They asked me to contact you today to schedule a repair on my AC. I will be home from work by 5pm today. Please schedule after that time. Thank you.

to me

There is no need to go to your home as we have already diagnossed the problem and it was denied we will though resend it on this new claim number and if they deny it again we can fix the problem for $616 plus tax.

On 8/2, I called Total Protect to check status. I spoke with ***. This incident has had 8 work orders. She said an email had been sent to me on 7/31 denying the claim. I advised I did not get an email. She discovered it was sent to the incorrect email address. I advised this was strange as part of the member identification process is to confirm the email address on file is correct and I had provided my current email on every call? *** is sending the email to me. It will take up to 48 hours. She is also having a supervisor call me. It could be today or tomorrow.

My point of contention is this, my A/C unit is currently inoperable due to either the replacement of the contact on 7/12/19 or the wiring done during installation. Both *** and Metro Energy Savers are saying the problem was caused by the other repair service. I am caught in the middle and have been without this A/C for a week. In the meantime, my other unit is running practically non-stop to try to compensate.
Can you please assist me with this issue? I am at a loss as to next steps.

To Whom It May Concern:

On 7/29/19, *** called Metro Energy Savers for service. Our technicians diagnosed the thermostat, furnace control board and low voltage wire to be "fried."

Apparently, *** had been called out prior to Metro Energy Savers and performed service on ***'s system. It is our technicians' expert opinion that

the issue was most likely caused when the *** technician changed the contactor and inadvertently touched the high voltage wire to the low voltage wire.

Metro Energy Savers installed the system in 2015 and has since performed three maintenance services on the system and never found any signs of mis-wiring

related to the original installation. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that these components would fail simultaneously without some sort of outside event or

interference.

While we cannot determine the experience level of the *** technicians, we do confidently stand behind the diagnosis that was provided on

7/29/19 by our technicians. All Metro Energy Savers' technicians and installers are both certified by the state of Texas and hold multiple NATE Certifications qualifying

them as some of the best trained technician and professionals in the HVAC field. Each of the Metro Energy Savers' technicians who diagnosed the issue have over 10

years HVAC experience. Iin checking our records as to who performed the maintenance services, all were performed by experienced technicians - one of which was

our Service Manager who performed the Quality Check and the first maintenance on 12/19/2016. Therefore, we are confident that any wiring issues would

have been noticed and addressed at that time.

Metro Energy Savers is confident that ***'s issue was not caused by Metro Energy Savers but maintains that the issue was caused by Mr.

***'s technician.

We have attached supporting documentation and will fully cooperate with any further inquiries regarding this matter.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

I was not told a heat pump was being installed. None of my paperwork shows a heat pump was installed. The installer did not ask me if I wanted to have a heat pump installed and that it would be incompatible with my gas furnace. My home warranty will not honor the warranty as incompatible equipment was installed - heat pump with a gas furnace.

This means, I will never be able to use my home warranty for any future repairs on this unit. This is unfair as I purchased an air conditioner and a heat pump was installed.

While I cannot identify which of the two repair companies (*** and Metro Energy Savers) caused the unit to fry the wiring, I can identify the fact that incompatible equipment was installed without additional wiring for the thermostat.

It is 100 degrees and I have been without A/C for almost 3 weeks. I find this unacceptable.

The real issue is not the money for the repair, but doing the right thing for an excellent customer. I have always paid in full for any services rendered.

Very informative, professional and quick response. They always have excellent service.
