MY WIFE AND I WERE ASKED IF WE WANTED TO GO IN FOR A SAMPLE. MY WIFE RECEIVED A SAMPLE AND PURCHASE PRODUCTS OVER $400 DOLLARS WORTH. THE SALES PERSON DID TELL US THE PURCHASE PRICE AND NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT NO REFUNDS AND ALL SALES WERE FINAL. SHE SCHEDULED US FOR A FREE FACIAL. WE RETURNED FOR A FREE FACIAL AND THE SALES PERSON, WHICH WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE FIRST, WAS VERY AGGRESSIVE IN MAKING A SALE. MY WIFE ASKED HIM FOR THE TOTAL PRICE OF EVERYTHING HE WAS TRYING TO SELL US. HE DIDN'T TELL US JUST SAID IT WAS HALF OFF AND WE WERE GETTING A GREAT DEAL. AFTER THAT I ASKED WAS THE TOTAL PRICE WAS AND AGAIN HE DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING JUST SAID WE WERE GETTING A REALLY GREAT DEAL. MY WIFE GAVE HIM HER CREDIT CARD EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T WANT HER TO. THE SALES PERSON RAN THE CREDIT CARD BEFORE TELLING US THE TOTAL AND DIDN'T TELL US ABOUT THE POLICY OF NO REFUND AND NO RETURN AT ALL. MY WIFE DID SIGN THE SLIP WITHOUT KNOWING ABOUT THE REFUND OR RETURN POLICY. THIS PURCHASE WAS MADE TOWARDS THE END OF THE DAY AND THEY CLOSED THE STORE RIGHT AFTER WE LEFT. THE NEXT MORNING WE WENT TO CANCEL THE ORDER AND THEY REFUSED TO CANCEL IT OR REFUND OUR MONEY. THIS SECOND PURCHASE AS OVER $7,600 AND WE DIDN'T EVEN RECEIVE THE PRODUCT. THEY SAID THEY WOULD SHIP IT TO US. WE STILL DON'T HAVE THE PRODUCT IN OUR HANDS AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND OUR MONEY. I FEEL WE REALLY GOT RIPPED OFF. WE ARE NOT TRYING TO RETURN THE FIRST PRODUCT WE PURCHASED FROM THEM JUST THE SECOND ORDER.

Aloha,

We apologize for your concerns. Please understand Customer Service is important to us however, there is limits to what we can do. Your products have already been shipped as all shipments get forwarded to our shipping department that is located on the mainland at the end of each day. Our shipping department packages everything that night and FedEx picks up all packages first thing in the morning which made it too late to cancel as shipping has been processed and payed for. Your FedEx tracking number is *** it seems the package DID reach you however you refused it according to the notes on ***. The sale would have not processed if you would have not signed the credit card slip which did also include the refund policy. This is not a scam and we have many customers including returning customers who are very satisfied with our products and the results they get. Due to our refund policy we will reverse the shipment back to you. Our Customer Service line is printed on the top of your receipt. If you should have any questions please feel free to contact us.

I called in to get an update and didn't realize I was supposed to be login in to a system to see status updates and looks like the complaint was closed. I still want to pursue this complaint on Truffoire. Truffoire responded to one of my 3 attempts to get a hold of them and have since gone silent. I haven't been able to speak with a manager/supervisor or store owner. Is it possible to re-open the complaint or do I have to resubmit all the info again. Please help me. I don't have their product and still have a bill for over $7,000 dollars. I don't want their product. I just want to get reimbursed. I never received it so it's not like I've used it and i'm trying to return it.

Thank you

This email is to inform you that we will not accept your offer of 20% refund and will continue to refuse any packages from you shipping warehouse. We are currently working with our Credit Card Company to dispute the purchase. The reason for this is because we requested to cancel the purchase prior to the package ever leaving your warehouse. The purchase was made late in the afternoon on 9/4/2019. We were running late to our anniversary dinner reservations so we couldn’t go back to the store the same day to request the order to be canceled. The very next morning, 9/5/2019, we contacted the store and went to the store to request the order to be canceled. Both on the phone and at the store the sales rep said the order could not be canceled or refunded because it had already shipped. We requested a tracking number yet your sales rep was not able to provide that information. While at the store I requested to speak with a manager or store owner. There was two sales reps present at the store and both refused to contact any upper management or store owner to discuss the issue. You mentioned customer service being your number one priority yet when I requested to speak with a manager they refused to make any attempt to contact a manager. Again I requested a tracking number and they were not able to provide me one. I left the store frustrated and annoyed with your lack of customer service. Prior to leaving one of your sales reps told me he was going to make sure he would get me a tracking number. I waited 2 days and never got a call back with that info.I contacted the store on 9/6/2019 and spoke with a different sales rep. She assured me the package had already shipped and was able to provide me with a tracking number later in the day.The tracking number is: ***I contacted FedEx they informed me the package did not arrive at their location to ship until 9/6/2019 at 4:19PM. So the entire time your sales reps were lying to me telling me the package had already shipped because they didn’t want to work with me to cancel the order. You keep stating customer service a high priority yet they could give me the time to make one phone call. Why did your sales rep lie to me and not make any effort to contact a manger or higher up? As you mentioned in your email, you stated the package arrived at my house. It never arrived at my house. Look up the tracking number through FedEx.com and you can clearly see it never arrived at my home. We contacted FedEx on 9/11/2019 and told them to not ship the item to our home. They stopped the shipping and sent it back to you prior to it coming to my home. The pack arrived at your location on 9/17/2019. We have also returned the second package you sent and will continue to do so if you continue to send it to us.You mention you cannot re-sell the product because it’s use. The first package never arrived at my home. So that can’t be used. The second packaged was left at our door. On another note, I don’t understand how your company can ship a package worth over $7500 and just leave it on our door with no signature required. Anyways, the second package was never opened. The box is a standard cardboard box than be re-used for any of your products. The box was shipped back to your warehouse once again. You also mentioned due to health reasons. Your sales person mentioned these are medical products. If they are medical products then why don’t you have dermatologists at your location in Wailea. Also, I’ve contacted the FDA and they could not find your product in their system. I’ve constantly asked to speak with upper management and I don’t get anyone except sales reps. In your email signature you have that you are a Customer Service Manager. Yet in your email body you have that you’ve spoken with upper management. I want to speak with upper management not you.Lastly I wanted to mention was your sales rep at the Wailea store. Michael/Miki was asked multiple times what the total price was before the sales was made. He ignored our question and mentioned it was a great deal. My wife felt pressured to make the purchase and gave him the credit card. I asked him for the price before he ran the card and still ignored my request. He also added product we did not want. He added product for me. I don’t need any of these product. Why did he keep adding products we did not want or request? He also never mentioned anything about the return policy. If a purchase is being made with this amount of money I don’t understand why he did not mention anything about the return policy. It just seems like such a scam and aggressive sales tactics. The next day when we want back to the store to ask if we can cancel the order he got upset and started yelling at me to the point that I had to tell him to stop yelling. The other sales person there to defuse the situation mentioned he was a store manager. If he is a store manager why did he not mention anything when we first walked in asking for a manager? Because of our horrible experience, your sales persons lying to us and not being honest. I will continue to deny your product and will make sure our credit card will fight for us to get a refund. If you want to contact me I will only be speaking with upper management from your company. I made many attempts to find your headquarter contact info or your corporate info and continue to find complaints made by many consumers regarding your product and sales tactics. I’ve come across many websites stating your company is a scam. If a upper manager wants to contact me to convince me, please have them do so as soon as possible.

I was in Honolulu at Pearleidge mall, a young man asked me to try a product to help with lines on my eyes areas. He showed me his mirror & the difference. Then opened a catalog of products & prices were over $1,000 for each one & some were $2,000. He then made me feel like I needed these products so badly. Even offered me extra samples too. I refused &left the store & like whoa what the heck & gee.

On July 28, 2019, I was in Hale'iwa, Oahu, Hawaii and walked past the Truffoire store. I was offered a free sample which I waved off as I was heading to my car to drive to the airport for a flight home. A man came running out, offering a free sample for the dark circles under my eyes. I humored him and he applied the product then told me a 2-year supply was $199. I said "No way" and he ran off to find a 1-year supply for just $129. He claimed he couldn't & offered me the alleged 2-year supply for the lesser price. He was adamant about it, implying I couldn't pass up the deal. Foolishly, I paid for the product just to get out of there. He told me that for just $3000 or $4000 more, I could get everything & save on the plastic surgery. I laughed as that was not going to happen, and left.
By the time I got to the airport, the sample that had been applied was cracking and sloughing off. Too late to do anything about it there, after getting home I carefully packaged the unopened product and mailed it back to the store. Tracking info showed that they refused it. I called to ask about it and they said that they did not accept returns, only exchanges. That was the first I had heard of that. They claimed it was posted at the counter - I only remember seeing what CC were accepted. They said it was on my receipt - Nothing is there. And how would they know I'd sent a return if they hadn't opened it?
I was given an email address to contact corporate. After no reply, I called again and asked for a phone number. I was asked to call back in 20 minutes. I called 25 minutes later. The person I had spoken to had “just left." The new person asked for my phone number and said a manager would call me back.
I did not receive a call back, I called them. I have now called them three times and have never gotten an answer. I used the contact email on the website but have not heard back thru that either. I found a phone number for *** (the parent company?) and left a message. Still waiting.

I am rejecting this response because: I was not informed there was a no return policy, I did not see any signs posted, and there was nothing about it on my receipt.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: Sorry to keep dragging this out, but of the two attached jpg files allegedly showing the return policy posted in their store, one was a partial view of the Truffoire sign behind the counter, and the other one would not open. If they think this will appease the situation, they are sadly mistaken. Nothing was ever said to me about no returns, and there was no signage pointed out to me. If I had known they do not stand behind their product, I would never had purchased it. And claiming they are a franchise and not directly connected to Truffoire is odd as their website link goes directly to the Truffoire corporate site. If they are still going to persist, I want them to agree to take the product back just so I get it out of my sight!

Sincerely

Horrible company. I was curious how the young seller can go. $1500, then $500 cuz I am local, then $150 for the eye cream in the damaged box plus complementary facial. I guess “I” spent way too much of his time, he became angry telling that he gives an offer to help to “open my ears to hear about that amazing product, to get rid of horrible lines -I am 27 years old, young nice skin, always receive millions of compliments.. would never buy anything from there. How they still survive??

Way overpriced *** that is basically a glue/sealant placed around your eyes. Terrible sales tactics that try to get you to buy even more crap products. Run away, fast!

Aggressive. 2 people didn't hear about refund policy. It's on a barely legible not itemize d receipt
treatment left me irritated and red.
I know buyer beware, first time in my life I've felt overwhelmed and intimidated. why I didn't just walk out, why should I be concerned about being rude?
Awful
And I can't vouch for effective as the one treatment in the store left me with a red eye

Customer Response • Jul 22, 2019

I just realized this isn't the correct region.
But to clarify, the product is irritating, the refund policy was not stated orally. If it was at the register that wouldn't help as they took the card rang it through while I was sitting.

Well I was ripped off for 180.00 at the store in the Hardrock casino and hotel in Atlantic City NJ for a product that doesn’t work

Aside from my buyer's remorse because of the price, I purchased product from *** in Waikiki as well as someone else who posted here stated. Yes, the demonstration on the lifting serum worked immediately. It’s a great lure. The product also works immediately when you take it home and use it every day...
I have no false expectations that I will permanently look younger. Even if you use Botox, you have to redo it every three months...you have to redo fillers, you have to replace hair extensions, you have to dye your hair frequently if you have any gray or even to keel a color of choices, you have to replace your eyelash extensions, you have to use lash growing serum every day.
If a product makes my skin look better for one day and I have to use it every day, then it is not a bad product. I also got the space touch machine and it makes my skin look better at least for that period of time.
I guess the difference is in what is your expectation and what is the result you are getting. I do not expect miracles unless that miracle includes needles and comes with a scalpel and stitches.

Ladies, beware of this company. They have many locations in Hawaii and also on the mainland where there are tourists. They target older women by telling them how much younger you will look if you use their products. They have a stand outside the store, stop you as you pass, charm you and in you go! First, it's an eye cream that reduces the under eye bags and yes, the result was remarkable and I agreed to purchase the cream for the reduced price of $300. Unfortunately, the product in the syringe I foolishly bought does nothing to improve my eyes! It is not the same product. That is deceptive. You are then offered a free facial which will be scheduled at a later date. However, miraculously, Leonardo tells us that his appointment just canceled and he could do us now. He also said he was rushing to catch a flight to Hong Kong. After reading other reviews I now realize that is part of the string of many lies he tells.
I thought I was too old and wise to be suckered into spending $1500 but my vanity got in the way of common sense. They are very careful to hide the small print at the bottom of the receipt that states all sales are final and neither my friend nor I saw any notice on or near the counter stating that. Their sales practice is deceitful and they prey on older women, particularly tourists.
It is a great big scam.

While on vacation, I was targeted by Truffiore in Haleiwa.
After reading all the negative reviews, I’m in COMPLETE agreement with EVERY SINGLE COMPLAINT regarding high pressure sales tactics, pushy salespeople, deliberate folding of the recipient to hide the no refund policy, absolutely no sign stating a No Refund Policy, being assured that my satisfaction was guaranteed. The list is ENDLESS.

I purchased the Black Truffle Eye Cream. I’m hoping it doesn’t end up being a waste of money. Happy that’s all I bought, as this company is clearly unethical.

BEWARE!

Total scam
Total scam. Read the 1 star reviews. The 1 star reviews are consistent and I have unfortunately experienced their scam. But I also developed a skin reaction. They are calling me a liar and still refuse to refund me.

They harass you every time you walk by going to your hotel, they eventually will hustle you in, apparently nothing is refundable (they certainly wouldn't tell you that until AFTER you buy something), and they will claim that you are lying afterwards.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

I tried Diamond Truffle mask when I was going to a wedding, and trust me it gave me a radiant looking glow in the first try only. Really recommended to all and cannot wait for their other products.

There are scam artists out there luring people in with product samples then pushing a hard sell. The Instant repair syringe was use around my eyes and it was a dramatic effect so I was suckered into buying this overpriced stuff. I got home and was excited to use it before going out for the evening. It didn't look or feel like the same product and I got no results whatsoever like in the store. I noticed too that she had stapled my receipt to the business card so that I couldn't see the No Refund policy. I called the next day asking to speak to the girl who sold me the product. I got the 3rd degree and asked a bunch of questions about why I wanted to speak to her. The man took my number but she never called. Now when I call, no one answers and there is no listing for the store or phone number. I started looking on line and found there are Truffoire scams all over! I had been scammed out of $300. Luckily I used a credit card and they are investigating and did a charge back.

I have purchased 2 Truffoire products, the white truffle eye serum, and vitamin C cleanser. They are both wonderful. The eye syringe made an unbelievable difference within 1 week. Also, vitamin C cleanser has heled to gently remove makeup and dirt to leave my skin feeling soft and clean. I really appreciate their products and am eager to buy other products as well.

Truffoire white cream is a magical product to get rid of puffy eyes. I have been using it for last 2 months and now the result is more attractive and pleasant eyes and face. I am really happy with this product.

My husband and I were lured into this shop, Truffoire while in the Wailea mall, on 3/11/19. A saleswoman kept trying to lure us inside despite us telling her that we were not interested and did not have time. She convinced us to come in for a quick free eye treatment with their eye product. She then convinced me to buy it for $233.00. She then insisted that we go to rear of the store for a free facial with an LED devise from a male salesman stating that it was free because I bought the cream. I told him that I did not have time to do the facial but he insisted stating that it was free. During the brief treatment, my husband and I asked the male salesman how much he LED devise costs and he said it was free because I bought the cream. When he finished, he asked for my credit card stating he was going to give me a refund for the cream that I bought because I tried out the LED. He put the cream in a bag and slipped in an LED and a box of cream for $288.00 with no receipt. We did not see him put them in the bag. I did not know what he had done until we traveled back home the next day and unpacked. He did not ask me if I wanted to by the LED and the $288.00 cream. He never asked me if I wanted to buy them, nor he tell me prices or how to use them or what the cream was for. He rushed and gave me my credit card receipt to sign for the refund of the first cream. He covered up the entire top of the receipt with his hand including the amount that he had just charged me. I did not ask to buy these additional items. It wasn't until I read my AMEX statement that he had charged mean additional $4686.83. He was deceptive about sneaking the extra items in the bag and giving my husband the bag to carry instead of me as I would have noticed that it was heavier than it should have been. I feel that he took advantage of me and was deceptive. I needed that money for my medical expenses and asking for a full refund for the unopened products. and I will return the products

Truffoire - Haleiwa Response • May 23, 2019

First and foremost we would like to apologize for any inconveniences that may have occurred. Please understand Customer Service is our top priority. We went over your statement and have opened a case regarding your claims. We feel it is important to say that you and anyone in this fact has the right to say "no" and do as they feel. Our associates only do their job such as every other sales associate in every other store who wants to demonstrate a product. It is your choice to stay and listen or leave. It is also your choice at the end to say yes or no and sign a receipt or not.

In the statement it was mentioned the purchase of the first product for $233.00 then when signing for a refund- it then mentioned he issued a refund for the $233 and then charged the $288 but needed a signature for a refund slip- when he did so, was anything asked out loud regarding the receipt for the $288.00 charge (which is not showing in our system by the way)?

Also, most of our purchases get shipped out there for we only carry small bags in the store which is about half the size in height of the LED machine so it should be a bit obvious if something is hanging out of your bag.

Lastly, our receipts are very clear and the final amount of charge/refund is printed directly above the signature spot. Therefore in order to cover (as mentioned in original statement) the amount being charged/refunded he would be blocking the signature box as well.

Finally, on the very top and bottom of our receipt you would find out Customer Service phone line and email where you could and should have contacted to help find a resolution for your concerns.

Due to receipt being signed and the time passing since the purchase was made along with our no refund policy- we cannot issue a refund. If anything needs to be exchanged and or replaced we will be more than happy to honor that for your satisfactory as a our customer. If you have any questions please contact number or email printed on your receipt.

Truffoire’s sales tactics are very high pressure and fraudulent. The salesman makes claims of becoming a doctor within months and only flying into Maui periodically to perform treatments. On this day, he was in town to perform a treatment for a well known star! Throughout the course of the sample treatment and decision making process, the salesman claims the product I initially bought would be part of the package and I would get a credit. He stated if the products didn’t work, I could get a full refund. He also ‘throws in’ various other products and discounted damaged box products, claiming the price is lower. It’s not until he runs your credit card that you are able to see the price and question the total. The last transaction was basically run without my full consent! I left the store feeling very confused as to the transactions and only recognized their ‘no refund’ policy when reviewing my receipts. Note- the transaction information is at the very top and policy statement at bottom- so your focus is at top- trying to figure out the sales person’s ‘fuzzy math’.I tried to return the products within 15 minutes of the purchase and was told their register didn’t have the functionality to perform a return. Please know I tried to research the products, but the reception in the store was very bad- where all the stores around had fine reception.

Overall, Truffoire makes false claims about their staff’s experience, provides false information on their refund policies, and uses high pressure sales tactics to get the consumers money. Rather than stand behind their product, they prefer to stand behind their ‘no refund’ policy! Their main goal is to run your credit card quickly and then advise of their no refund policy. Truffoire is fraudulent and causes harm to consumers. It’s a shame for high end shopping areas to allow this type of a business onto their property- especially in high tourist areas! Bad reputation for the area!

Customer Response • Apr 25, 2019

Please cancel the subject complaint- as the supplier has issued a full refund with the return of the products.

Thank you!

The salesperson at this store was aggressive and relentless in his efforts to sell me a device he claimed would reduce wrinkles and scars. He went from free beauty cream samples to high pressure sales of these creams which I did purchase. He then offered a free treatment with the LED light device. After 2 hours of non stop chatter and pressure, I relented and purchased this item after being told this "deal" would not be available tomorrow so I couldn't think about it overnight. I feel He knew as a senior citizen and overwhelmed and tired from travel, I was an easy target. The sales person did not ever verbally tell me there was a no refund policy. He stood in front of the small sign stating no refund policy next to the cash register and it is only stated in small print at bottom of receipt. So policy is only clear post sale if one examines the receipt. I attempted to bring this device back the next day after discussing its use and effectiveness with my dermatologist who recommended that I do not use Red LED light on my skin due to a history of skin cancer. I have emails and texts from my dermatologist but this business wants medical records to prove my claim. Studies show that The LED device also has side effects of headache for people prone to migraines and I did experience a headache after use. They refuse a refund although I have returned the device because I cannot use it. Their hard sell, distracting chatter, applying creams and overwhelming and harassing sales style combined with their deceit and con artistry is unacceptable and as I informed them during the sales pitch and upon attempt to return this overly expensive device, I am on a fixed income of social security and they should not continue to harangue older low income clientele into purchasing items they cannot afford and are detrimental to their health.Their refund policy should be stated verbally at time of purchase. The refund policy should be posted prominently within sight and not on a small placard that can be moved.

To whom it may concern,

We apologize but we cannot grant customer refund request. But we are more than happy to give the customer store credit in exchange of the device she would like to return. We did communicate with the customer directly in regards of her inquiry, We did ask customer to provide dr's note and diagnostic of her claimed in order for us to make an exemptions from our "no refund policy". But the customer cannot/will not provide any Dr's note verifying her claimed of reactions. Customer was very well aware with our policy. None of our sales associates force any of our customer to purchased any of our products. All customers are welcome to come in and out of our store with or without purchasing any productUnfortunately without any Dr.'s note verifying the reaction came from our products or device we will not be able to make an exemptions with our no refund policy. Upon purchased of our products, customer was made aware that we have no refund policy. Our refund policy is mandatory displayed insdie the store stating "NO REFUNDS, ALL SALES ARE FINALS EXCHANGES ONLY WITHIN 14 BUSINESS DAYS" as well as written on each receipt receipt. The transaction was processed in accordance with the law. In additional we have video surveillance showing customer was happy with the free treatment and purchased she was making and shows no signs of distress the entire time.

Mahalo,

Truffoire Hawaii

SCAM TOTAL SCAM they misrepresent products and don't tell you of the NO REFUND OR RETURN policy! Products are not what they say and DO NOT WORK. HIGH-PRESSURE SALES tactics. I think the positives are FAKE these products do not work. I was at a Home Show in Overland Park, Kansas.

I am a senior citizen from Canada. On 4/09/19 I was approached on the street by a Truffoire Haleiwa employee with a free sample of cream. I was then brought into the saloon for a “better” sample of eye serum which was applied under one eye. This lead to a demonstration of a LED device for fine lines, age spots and improved collagen production. Leonardo offered me a free one year supply of products and his personal involvement if I purchased the LED device and agreed to provide before and after photos. The agreement required me to use only their product line and use of the LED device for one hour/once a month. Leonardo explained he was the son of the owner with 16 years of experience in skin care, which allowed him to offer this personalized deal. He was in the shop for only one day before he was off to six major cities around the world to supervise other Truffoire stores. He would be overseeing the grand opening of a store in British Columbia in the next month and I would be a VIP customer. Leonardo promised a follow up email within 24 hours and free delivery of products within one week. I have received neither.
Because of the high purchase price I checked reviews when I returned home. I realized these were high pressure and deceptive sales practices also used on other customers. At no time was I informed of the NO RETURN FOR REFUND policy. The sales transaction occurred in the facial room, not at the cash register. Leonardo held the receipt for me to sign which was folded to hide the NO RETURN statement under the signature line. There was no sign stating NO REFUND, a violation of Hawaii State law (Statute 481B-5.5). In being referred to customer service after a request for a refund, I found no one answered the phone. The email address provided on the receipt is also invalid. There has been no way to address my concerns or provide a refund. This purchase was $3350.78 USD. The results of the eye serum that was only supposedly needed once a month had disappeared within 3 hours.
