While on Maui last June, I was lured into a Truffoire store and offered eye cream. The sales person was very persuasive. 1200 dollars later, I left. Now 10 months later, my skin is worse than when I started with the regimen. I was told the product would last 2 years. It won't. I am throwing it out as I am in my 50's and have the breakout look of a teenager. The claims of helping my skin were lies. Be wary people. Don't be a sucker and lose your $.

On March 12 I was lured into Fortoire Waikik store by Taylor to give a sample of eye cream. Instead she had to demonstrate it and kept saying I need to do something for myself. I was running out of time since my flight left in a couple hours so I finally agreed just to get going. I also asked if the face cream had spf in it otherwise I didn’t want it. Once I finally looked at the box, I found out it didn’t have spf in it! She kept saying she is giving me a great deal! She took my license and actually never gave it back and I had to run back to get it! Almost missed my flight. The transaction went so fast that I never saw a sign say no refunds because I kept telling her that if I didn’t like it I was bringing it back next year when I came back. And they put the receipt in the bag so you don’t notice the fine print at the the bottom that says no refunds! If I was there another day, I would have been back to the store and dealt with it right away!
I finally tried it a week later and the box was open with no plastic covering like the face cream and the body scrub. I got some out and it was clear and I tried it 3 times and it didn’t do anything for my eyes. Taylor said you only had to apply once a week or you would look like a Chinese person. I was actually intimidated by her and felt like I couldn’t leave unless I bought it. It was the worst experience I have ever had in Hawaii and I’ve been going for 30 years! They take advantage of tourist that never come back but I will be back and my sister is a Police Sargent and I will be bringing her also!

On 03/12/2018 the customer made a purchase for $198.95 worth of products. Customer was provided demonstrations for all of the products, saw results, liked them, and agreed to buy them. The customer showed us their ID and they were shown the receipt and signed it next to the return policy therefore authorizing the sale and acknowledging the company return policy . At this time, the return policy was also provided to her verbally.
We also have a big sign next to the register stating our policy, which is: "All sales are final, No Refunds, Exchanges only within 14 days!"
The transaction was process in accordance with the operating rules and regulations. None of our sales associates force any of the customer(s) to purchase any products from our store. All customer(s) are allowed to come in and out of our store with or without purchasing any of our products.As a good customer service gesture, we will be more than happy to EXCHANGE or REPLACE any items purchased.

First I was not given a demonstration on the products only the eye cream. After I bought the stuff they pulled me in the back room by some guy trying to make me buy a expensive electric thing for my face and I kept saying I’m going to be late for my plane. He finally gave up trying to sell me and let me go.

I was never verbally told the return policy and never saw the sign because she had me to the side of the register looking towards the front of the store. Then she just put the receipt in the bag. I was just frustrated by then because I felt victimized and harassed so I had no choice but to buy it to get out of the store. I specially asked if the face cream had spf and she said yes. I never actually had it on my face. They give a sample outside the door to lure you in I don’t want to exchange it, I just want my money back. I’ve never dealt with a store that had at least a month return product if you didn’t open it.

I was recently at a home show in Morgantown Pa. Where I feel like I was duped. While walking through the home show my husband and I were stopped and handed a packet of moisturizer. We had a few minutes so we were invited to sit down and look at a few things. The very first thing that they showed us was an eye repair cream for wrinkles. Of course it worked immediately. That's how they suck you in. After sitting and looking at other products all of which we were not interested in. All we wanted to do was go. We were though in fact a little bit happy with the results of the cream that they put on your eyes. We were a little bit apprehensive once they told us the price. But again it seemed to work very well so we decided to give it a shot. Of course once we got at home the black tube that it came in in the box that it came in looked exactly like the one that was being used at the home show. But once we put it on our face we knew right from the start that wasn't the same product that was being used during the sale. Don't get sucked in by promises. This product does not work and does not feel the same as the one that they use when they're selling it to you.. this has been the biggest waste of time and money I would never recommended to anyone.

We purchased a beauty device and were told at the time of purchase that we would be contacted via Email with conformation and a tracking number .
We have received no correspondence from the company. We called the phone number on the receipt and it rings and rings and eventually hangs up.
we called this number multiple times throughout the day with the same result. We called the number on the website and were told it was manufacturing and that we needed to contact the vendor. We have sent multiple emails with no response. It seems like a good product but I am questioning the legitimacy of this business if they make it impossible to contact them . I wish I had seen the other similar complaints as I would never have wasted my money on this. We should have seen by the way the salespeople acted that this was going to be problematic the whole thing seemed shifty. The old adage if it sounds too good to be true it usualy is. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company as I have no confidence that I will receive the product I purchased. I read some of the other complaints and it took the company nearly a month to respond to the complaints. I am unsure how Truffoire is still in business if they treat their customer like this.

Customer order was shipped on 03/13/2019 and received on 03/15/2019 via fedex tracking number ***. All store sales associates are mandate to let each of our customer know that orders are usually processed and shipped between 7-10business days. Unfortunately we cannot grant customer refund request due to our no refund policy and customer did received his/her order. Please kindly contact us via our email if we can assist further. I called the number on the receipt innumerable times .You said there is no record of any contact by us,not surprising as the phone rings and rings and then hangs up,no voice mail just hangs up, emailed the address on the website again no response. Called the number on the website were told to contact vender as they were manufactureer We were not home which is why we were animate about being notified when the product shipped and that we would need to sign for the product. The salesmane assured us that would be the case. I have no idea whether the product was delivered or not
You say no refunds I dont want a refund I refuse to pay for a product I dont have. It is has been immpossible to contact anyone from your company. I will be contacting Hawaii attorney general to report your unethical business practices. We were decieved as to the shipping of the product we purchased, it has not been received as you stated . We are disputing the charge as no product was recieved. And we have been unable to contact anyone to discuss the problem

If I could give zero stars I would! Such a salespitch and scam! I doubt the stuff they use in store is what you are actually buying! Buyer BEWARE!!!

When I came across Truffoire, I was amazed to learn that truffles can be used for skincare too as up to that time it was always a food delicacy for me. Researched more and came to know what truffle can do.
Then I decided to experiment one myself and started with day moisturizer. Excellent product and great results. Now looking to buy cleansing kit next.

On 1/21/19 I was approached by Kai a Truffoire Haleiwa employee for a free sample. She applied a number of products to my face and arms and I purchased $314.14 of product. 1/22/19 I contacted the store and spoke to Mike explaining the products applied by Kai caused a burning sensation in my eyes. He instructed me to come back to the store to "work something out". 1/27/19 I return to the store and met Leonardo, the store manager who told me I need a doctor's note regarding the eye irritation. I ask why Mike didn't tell me about the doctor's note and Leonardo explains "He's new". 2/1-3/19 I text Leonardo that as the eye irritation has passed, the doctor will not issue a note. Leonardo refers me to customer service. When asked to name the regional head he texts "It's a big company I don't really know". 2/9-15/19 emails from customer service: Dealings with all employees thus far are unsubstantiated due to a lack of documentation. I should have done a skin patch test before using their product, sorry I'm dissatisfied with their product, sorry NO REFUNDS, customer should not have waited 19 days to contact Truffoire, with a medical condition Truffoire would have. “full authorization in obtaining any or all your medical records”. Subject line in the last email: FINAL NOTIFICATION -DENIAL OF REFUND REQUEST. Truffoire's tactics are evasive and run contrary to respectable business practices. I was not explicitly told of the no refund policy. Employees only go by first names and do not know one another. Employees give incorrect instructions for which the customer is held liable. The customer is liable for doing a skin patch test to check for irritation - PRIOR to the Truffoire employee applying the "free sample". All communications with customer service open with "Aloha ***", then goes on to 1) falsely blame the customer for oversights 2)intimidate/bully 3) dismisses the customer leaving the issue unresolved.

On Jan 21, 2019 the customer made a purchase for $314.14 worth of products. The customer was provided demonstrations for all of the products, saw results,liked them and agreed to buy them. The customer shwoed us their their ID and were shown the receipt and signed it next to the return/refund policy therefore authorizing the sale and acknowledging the company return/refund policy. At this time,the return policy was also provided verbally. We also have a big sign next to the register stating our policy which is: "ALL SALES ARE FINAL, N REFUNDS,EXCHANGES ONLY WITHIN 14 DAYS". As a good customer service the customer was offered full refund if she is able to submit proper documentation in regards of her claim but customer could not and did not submit any proof of claimed, therefore her refund request was denied. Customer was advise 2 days after her purchase to contact us but customer did not contact us until 17 days later after advisement. Customer also claims of not knowing the refund policy is untrue. We have tried several times to resolve and answer customer complaint even offering exchanges but unfortunately customer continued to be dissatisfied. We but unfortunately we are not able to grant customer refund request.

I am rejecting this response because: As stated in the original complaint, the customer notified the business 2 days after the purchase was nade and was told to "come back to the store". I was NOT told to contact customet service. And until now this response to Revdex.com, "customer service" would not acknowledge any communications with the business adter the purchase. My complaint and refund request remains. Truffoire uses shady business practices and keeps everyone in the company as anonymous as possible. Eg. All Customer Service responses come with no name. Employees do not use last names and staff do not know one anither. I encourage everyone reading this to check out Truffoire on Ripoff Reports. Also, Google the CEO and Owner of Truffoire. They are in many states, with numerous complaints, all of the same nature. Bad business practices.

This business has deceptive sales people, pressures the client, does not inform purchaser of a "no return" policy, and will not respond to complaints. There should be a posted "No Return" sign in this business as required by the state of Hawaii. After many attempts to contact the company by phone and email, I have had no response. When I tried calling Hilo Hattie's to report my complaint, I was hung up on by the store manager. I am filling this complaint with you and will also file one with the State of Hawaii Attorney General. I believe all future customers of this company should be warned before they purchase. We purchased over $2396 of product with a promise of full instructions on use by email which did not come. When we tried to contact the company, we just keep getting no response or are told to wait to file complaint until the company contacts us. We have had no contact from the company. We have returned all product unopened to the only address provided by this company anywhere. We want our money back.

Truffoire products do not work as stated by sleezy and deceptive sale tactics. The prices are very high, you are better off buying a CVS brand, which will produce better results ...The Truffoire products are a total scam. Simply do not buy because you cannot return.

It’s been a month since I have been using White Eye Cream, and I have never before such an amazing transformation.
The darkness has gone, there is no puffiness and every time I come back home after work there is no itching and problem that I used to face earlier cause of pollution effects.

This serves as a complaint against Truffoire Skincare. Please refer to Revdex.com#*** filed on 11/22/2018. I was the relative/other customer in the aforementioned complaint. Truffoire used deceptive and aggressive tactics to sell me their product on 10/24/2018. The salesperson did not clearly explain the product pricing. He never mentioned the "NO RETURN FOR REFUND POLICY"during the sale process. Instead, he rushed me through the transaction and charged my card. I felt pressured to complete the transaction for $7395.79. The NO RETURN FOR REFUND policy was also not posted at the register or anywhere in the store as required by Hawaii State Law (Statute 481B-5.5) This law requires merchants to inform customers before a purchase is made of their "NO RETURN FOR REFUND policy by posting a conspicuous sign. After my relative experienced a skin irritation and thinking about the deceptive way I was charged a high amount I decided to return to the store and ask for a refund and was denied returning the product and a refund. I have filed a complaint with their customer service as well and have not heard back. I am returning the product and asking for a full refund under the law.

Oct. 28, 2018 my husband I were visiting the shops in Haleiwa, Hawaii. A girl from the TRUFFOIRE store offered me a free sample. She said she had another one to give me and took me into the store. She asked her colleague (Leonardo) to help me, he asked me to sit down in a chair and I told him I was not interested in doing a facial or buying anything. He put some repair serum by my right eye, I felt it tighten the skin as it dried and appeared smoother. He said he was one of the owners and was going to sell me the repair serum for $299 "a $1250 value". He would also include a facial now. I resisted but he promised more freebees. He said he would give me access to all of their products, that I would have to commit to only using their products and I could have everything I needed to take care of my skin “from head to toes”. He handed a shipping form to me to sign but I couldn't put my reading glasses on over the eye cream so he whipped thru it explaining it was just so the package they sent would require a signature. He shoved a giant receipt in front of me to sign, never gave me a copy, or informed me of a "NO RETURN POLICY “. Later that afternoon my husband noticed I had begun breaking out. On 10/30 at 11:30 am I went to the store and was surprised to find Leonardo there. My husband videoed me I showing him my face. He said they had a “NO REFUND POLICY I told him I wanted my money back. He phoned a manager "Antonio P" who said “he could not process returns at the store, only exchanges and that my order had already shipped. I told him I would dispute the charges and refuse the parcel. Antonio then said he would call me back. Leonardo refused the merchandise and told us to wait to hear from Antonio. Nov. 4th. I had not heard from anyone so we returned to the store and videoed me returning the products to another employee with a note outlining the details. Nov.9th. We received a FEDEX 2 day air from Truffoire with a shipping date of Nov. 7th.

On 11/28/2018 the customer made a purchase for a total $1570.68 worth of products. The customer was provided demonstrations for all of the products, saw results, liked them, and agreed to buy them. Customer(s) were shown the receipt and then she signed it next to the return policy therefore authorizing the sale and acknowledging the company return policy. The return policy states: "All sales are final, No Refunds, Exchanges only within 14 days!"(See attached receipt). At this time, the return policy was also provided verbally.
We also have a big sign next to the register and in the VIP treatment room stating our policy, which is:
"All sales are final, No Refunds, Exchanges only within 14 days!"

The cardholder is not due to receive a refund and not owed a credit from our establishment. The customer filled out and signed an order form (see attached order form) and the products were all shipped and delivered via FedEx. Upon our investigation, the transaction was process in accordance with the law.

As a good customer service gesture, we will be more than happy to EXCHANGE or REPLACE any items purchased. We do not owe the customer a credit from our establishment at this time.

This serves as a complaint against Truffoire Skincare (Kihei). While on vacation, myself and a relative were tricked into paying several thousand dollars for products, without being informed of the pricing details or the return policy. We were lured in with samples, given an eye cream demo and invited back for a free facial. The salesman used aggressive and deceptive tactics to complete the sale.

The facial included treatment with skincare products and an LED device. The Salesman showed photos and videos about the products’ effectiveness. He focused on step-by-step instructions, as he began putting items into shopping bags. When it was over, he took us directly to the register with the bags. Once he had our credit cards, he rushed through the payment, without clearly answering our pricing questions. He didn’t tell us the return policy and it wasn’t posted. The total cost was shocking, but I felt pressured to buy.

Within an hour, my skin was irritated. I returned to the store immediately. The Salesman was gone, and a manager told me about the NO REFUND policy. I spoke to the Salesman by phone, concerned about my skin’s reaction. I also complained that he rushed us and failed to disclose price details and the return policy. He said he could only refer me to Customer Service.

I returned the next day, asking the Salesman for a refund, before leaving Hawaii. He refused to talk with me and I called Customer Service from the store. The woman who answered couldn't refund my money. She said she was from the manufacturer, and not connected to the retailer. The Customer Service number was bogus. The woman said she would file a complaint through the Truffoire website. I have not been contacted.

Had I known there were no refunds or the high costs, I would have never made this purchase. None of the information was posted, nor were there esthetician licenses displayed as required by law.

I am rejecting this response because: Truffoire is in violation of Hawaii State Law (Statute 481B Unfair and Deceptive Practices) which requires a No Refund policy to be "conspicuously posted." As mentioned in this complaint, no signs were posted anywhere on the premises to alert me of the their policy prior to making the purchase. Due to this violation, I am within my legal rights to request a 100% refund from Truffoire as set forth in this complaint.

With regard to the refund, Hawaii State Law (451B - 5.5) requires if the customer paid by credit card the Merchant shall provide a refund within 5 days of receipt of the return of goods, or in cash at the time of return of goods (in person), or by mailing a check within 10 day of receipt of goods.

Within my legal rights, I made attempts to return the goods in person on 10/24/2018 and 10/25/2018 and was refused by Truffoire. I mailed the goods back and have records from the USPS that confirms receipt on 11/21/2018. Therefore, Truffoire must refund 100% of my money by 12/1/2018 or they will again be in violation of the law.

I do not want any product shipped back to me. Any attempt to ship the product back to me shall be deemed Truffoire's continued interference with my legal right to return these products.

If I do not receive a refund and if the products are shipped back to me, this matter will be taken to Small Claims Court.

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because Truffoire did not resolve my complaint. They used aggressive and fraudulent practices to trick me into buying their products, which irritated my skin. It has been 4 months since this incident took place and I am happy to report that through my own diligence I was able to recover my money. Truffoire did nothing to help, and only avoided and delayed the process.
Per my original complaint -Truffoire violated Hawaii State Consumer Protection Laws. They violated Statute 481B for not posting its No Refund policy. They also violated Statute 481B-5.5 for not refunding me within 5 - 10 days of receipt of the return of goods.
Customer service is NOT a priority. I returned to the store in person 2 times before leaving Maui (I was on vacation). The store manager and sales person offered no remedy. They refused to work with me and only referred me to their Customer Service phone number, which was bogus. I filed a complaint on their website and never got a response.
This latest message validates their continued denial of the facts and refusal to take accountability for their fraudulent business practices. They only communicated with me once I filed complaints with the Revdex.com and the State of Hawaii Consumer Protection Department. Even with the complaints, Truffoire did not comply. They wrote responses to appear to be concerned, but the facts remain - they violated the law and refused to refund 100% of my money as required by law.
Ultimately, it was through my bank that my money was properly returned. I filed a complaint with my credit card holder disputing the charges. I submitted the facts: the violation of the state law, along with copies of my complaints to the Revdex.com. I also had proof that I had returned the product to the store. After a 60-day investigation, the Bank maintained my credit. As of February 3, 2019, this matter is closed, with no help from Truffoire.
I was fortunate to resolve this through my bank. If it hadn't worked, I would have had to take legal action to recover my money, citing Truffoire's violation of State of Hawaii Consumer Protection Laws.
It is unfortunate a company that overtly violates the law is able to stay in business. Consumers must be diligent. Research Consumer "No Refund Policy" Laws in the state of purchase. File complaints with the Revdex.com and the State Consumer Protection Agency. Contact your bank and dispute the charges. If Truffoire truly believed in their products, they wouldn't need to use fraudulent practices to sell them.

I was manipulated into buying products from this store, which did not do what they claimed to do. I was told they helped age spots and were all natural. Neither of these things are true. They pressure you and tell you want you want to hear. If you chose to return the product, they will tell you it's store policy that they don't do returns even though it's not posted and they don't tell you when you are buying the products. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS.

I too was lured into a store in New Orleans. The price started very high and as I declined came down significantly. The product in the store seemed to work well and my daughter thought so as well. I came home and followed the instructions given to me and when I used the product my eyes looked worse to me than before I used it. I thought maybe the next day the results would look better.... but alas no. I didn't try to return as I bought out of my state but I strongly recommend to anyone not to buy these products... they are a pure ripoff

I have the same experience as you and I am freaking out why after 3 weeks my eyes look worse! I am searching online to see if anybody else had the same bad experience with Truffoire Black Truffle Instant repair Syringe. Did your eyes look back to normal after a while?

This must be one of the most poorly reviewed companies. I cannot fully blame them for my stupidity in purchasing their products at an outlet mall in West Palm Beach. I am usually not one to be swayed by these salespeople, but I fell for the product and it tightening my lines and bags under my eyes. First clue: 1) in a mall; 2) putting product on me and seeing instant results; 3) the price was getting lower and lower; and 4) NO REFUNDS!
I bought 2 products and paid about $125 for each...I didn't even wait 24 hours when I went back to the store to return it...BIG NO. The policy is no refunds but you can "exchange" for anything in the store for 14 days. Again, partly my fault because the sign posted on the register said NO REFUNDS in capital letters...I saw 14 days posted and thought they weren't going to allow refunds 14 days after purchase.
I pleaded with the store upon returning explaining that I impulsively bought the products but it was too expensive for me and I had medical items to purchase for my son...they didn't care. Needless to say, I left very annoyed, aggravated, and disgusted with the company and myself.

I came across Truffoire while on a trip with my wife to Hawaii, about a year ago and we were offered to try some of their skincare products, have to admit being skeptical at first and also giving the fact that the products aren't cheap we purchased few products like the White Truffle Moisturizer, the Black Truffle Vitamin C Cleanser, Vitamin C Serum and few other ones and I have to admit, after using it for almost a year now, it is definitely WORTH every penny.
Never thought that any product would give such an amazing results and I will keep using it every single day.
Thank you Truffoire, absolutely great products you made.

A month ago I was on holiday in West Palm Beach Florida. yes they lure you in and do say the eye treatment will replace Botox.
Results are very temporary. Unfortunately I did purchase some of the creams and a mask, but once I had my reading glasses on, you can tell by the ingredients that it is no better than what you would purchase at a pharmacy. Truffle oil or truffle ingredients, very minimal. Buyers remorse? You bet. Im ashamed to say how much I paid for this adventure, but learned a very valuable lesson. You can bet this company is built on regrets.

This company is a scam that preys on tourist. I was charged $8000. on credit card that did not authorize and they keep shipping boxes of product that I didn't order. I haven't opened any of the boxes and refused and sent back. Beware - Scam - and rip off

Upon checking our records. We see that our customer service works hard with your refund inquiry that you had inquire about but unfortunately your request was denied due to false statements and claims.We apologize if we were not able to grant your refund. But we will appreciate if you could please correct your review.
Our record shows that on the same day you reported unauthorized charge on your account and requested a refund, Our customer service and the store started the investigation and responded to you promptly. As you stated on your emails you claim that the transaction was not authorize and you did not filled and signed any shipping form or paper work. But our investigation along with supporting documents including video surveillance shows that you willingly purchased and authorized the transaction, signed the receipt and filled out and signed a shipping form as well as you are aware about our refund policy.
Despite our refund policy our store was more than happy to offer you full refund if there was any error in the point of sales. But, as the document shows that we correspond to you,there was no error made on point of sales. Hence, the denial of your refund request. The receipt has to be manually and personally signed by the card holder and the shipping form has to be filled out manually (hand written) by the purchaser/card holder to which in this case "you" is shown willingly signing and completing your purchased. The store would not know where to send any ordered products unless the customer filled and provide their information through our shipping order request form. We do not charge any customer without their authorization, all transaction are process in accordance with the law.
Again, we will appreciate if you could please correct your review. As we stated, we are more than happy to work with any of your authorize representative in regards of your case.

Dear "Aloha" can't even put a name - never identify who you are talking to.
This is the first time you've said anything about a refund. Which I will happily take. Since I have none of your product, you should put a refund through. Then it may change my opinion of your business. "Mahalo"
