Review: One day after the purchase of my 2006 Audi A4 Quattro, I began experiencing vehicle mechanical issues. Since the purchase on August 23, 2014 I have attempted to work with [redacted], the sales manager at Ultimate Rides in Oshkosh, without any sort of progress or compromise. Furthermore, I have wasted my own time, personal time off (PTO), and money in attempt to resolve the continual mechanical issues of my vehicle. I have been lied to, pushed aside, and dragged along.

I have documented as much of my experience as possible, below:

Monday 8/25/14 – Documented, via video, the low oil pressure warning going off on the Audi that began Sunday 8/24/14, the day after I purchased the car. Dropped the car off at Ultimate Rides and spoke with [redacted] (service manager) who said that he’d take a look at the vehicle and let me know what the problem was. I was given a 1999 white Grand Am with one tire nearly flat (15 lbs of air) and the gas tank on empty.

Thursday 8/28/14 – Picked the Audi up after being told that it was repaired. They replace the oil pick-up filter and said that it this is a common Audi issue. Was not provided an invoice showing what repair was made, but was given the old oil pick-up tube as a souvenir. There was no apology made for the inconvenience, but [redacted] did manage to tell me that they have no way of knowing what kinds of problems will occur after the car leaves the lot.

Thursday 10/30/14 – Called Ultimate Rides and asked for manager, was transferred to [redacted]. I told [redacted] about the multiple times that I’ve had the Audi in the shop since I bought the vehicle and told him that I need them to stand behind the car and get to the bottom of the issues. [redacted] transferred me to the service manager, [redacted]. [redacted] gave me the run-around about my extended warranty but then said that I should bring the car in for them to take a look. Agreed to drop the car off on Saturday morning and was told that there would be mechanics in the shop.

Saturday 11/1/14 – Dropped Audi off at Ultimate Rides – no one greeted me until about 15 minutes of waiting, no loaner car was ready as promised, and when [redacted] brought the loaner car out front he stated, “it’s kind of a clunker but I’ve driven a few times back and forth to Milwaukee.” Gas tank was below a quarter full and both front tires had less than 20 lbs of pressure. No one was in the shop to talk to about the game plan for the car repairs.

Monday 11/3/14 – Called around 3:00 in the afternoon to check in on the progress of my car. [redacted] told me that they took a look at the car but weren’t sure what the problem was. He said that I had told him that coolant was mixing with oil—I clarified that coolant was being burned in evidence of the white smoke and coolant smell coming from my exhaust. He said he’d have to take another look Tuesday morning and that they’d get back to me.

Tuesday 11/4/14 – No call from Ultimate.

Wednesday 11/5/14 – Called Ultimate around 12:00 and [redacted] said that he had tried to call the extended warranty company a couple times but was put on hold for too long and wasn’t able to speak to anyone. I let him know that I needed an update ASAP.

Wednesday 11/5/14 – Received voicemail from [redacted] stating that the warranty company told him that I need to take the Audi back to the previous shop that worked on it (River West Auto Werks in Plover).

Thursday 11/6/14 – Called and spoke with [redacted] (salesman that sold me the vehicle) and asked for the safety inspection and invoice list of repairs that had been completed on the vehicle before the sale. He told me that I received that when I bought the car. I replied, “I did receive the safety inspection sticker but don’t have the invoice with the list of repairs completed prior to the sale of the vehicle.” He stated, “you’ll have to call back and talk to [redacted] about that. Try between noon and 1:00.”

Thursday 11/6/14 – Approximately 1:00 PM. [redacted] answered the phone and I asked to speak to [redacted], the manager. [redacted] told me that [redacted] is off for the day. I then started to say you had just told me to try between noon and 1:00 when [redacted] said that [redacted] had only come in for a little less than an hour but would be in tomorrow. Again, I asked for a list of the repairs that had been completed on the vehicle before I sold it and was told yet again, that I needed to talk to [redacted]. I then asked, is there anyone else that could have the authority to fax over the list of repairs and was told that he’d transfer me to service. I sat on hold for a few minutes before [redacted] picked up again. [redacted] then told me that the service manager ([redacted]) stated that they did not have a list of repairs, only the vehicle inspection sticker that I was given at the time of the sale. He asked if I’d like to talk to [redacted] and I declined and let him know that I’ve only received excuse after excuse from [redacted] and prefer to talk to [redacted] at this point.

Saturday 11/8/14 – Approximately 11:30 AM. I arrived at Ultimate Rides and asked to speak with [redacted]. After about a 15 minute wait, [redacted] welcomed me into his office. I explained the history of the repairs and mechanical failures since my vehicle purchase and said that, since the purchase of the vehicle, I had driven it for a total of about two weeks and was very disappointed. I asked if he would work with me—he said he would. I proposed that he allow me to exchange the vehicle for another on the lot of similar value and that I’d even pay slightly more if I needed to. He said that he thought my proposal was reasonable but would need to speak with both owners, but that he’d get back to me on Monday. In the meantime, he offered to keep the Audi at the dealership and provide me with a loaner car.

Monday 11/10/14 – Approximately 3:00 PM. I called and spoke to [redacted], who said that he wasn’t able to speak with either owner as of yet, but would be in touch with me as soon as he had an answer for me.

Wednesday 11/12/14 – Approximately 2:30 PM. I called and spoke with [redacted] to check in and was wondering why I hadn’t heard anything yet and was starting to get a little frustrated. [redacted] said that the owners were busy starting up their new store in Madison and hadn’t been in the office yet. I asked if the conversation with the owner could be accomplished via phone call and he agreed, yes it could. He told me he’d be in touch tomorrow morning (Thursday).

Thursday 11/13/14 – Approximately 12:00 PM. I called and talked to [redacted] and asked if he’d heard anything. He said that he had not talked to the owners yet. I then explained that I was starting to get frustrated and felt that I was being drug along and would need an answer before the end of the day or I’d need to start filing paperwork with the DMV – Consumer Protection. [redacted] replied, “I hear you loud and clear and promise that I will call or have one of the owners call to give me an answer this afternoon.” No call was received. After I left work at about 4:30, I called and spoke to Chris who said that he was not familiar with my situation and that [redacted] had left for the day. I let him know that I would be by within about two hours to pick up the Audi and that I would be filing with the paperwork. Chris was very apologetic and said that he would try and reach [redacted] to let him know so that he could give me a call. No call was received. I picked my car up, covered in dust, and with a front left tire on about 20 lbs. of pressure. Before I left, Chris told me that he’d be sure to have [redacted] call me in the morning. Again, no call was received.

Thursday 12/11/14 – I have received no contact attempts from Ultimate Rides, nor have I reached back out. My Audi is still running very rough and will occasionally not start for me. I have paid about $2100 in repairs since my initial vehicle purchase.Desired Settlement: Ideally, I would like a refund on for the entire amount purchased for the vehicle, including tax. At the very least, I will settle for an exchange of vehicles for roughly the same value as I had purchased.

Response:

From my understanding, [redacted] had the car a few days and the oil light came on and we repaired the problem by replacing the oil pick up tube, which is very common in audi / VW vehicles. The light was not on prior to the sale or when [redacted] test drove the car, it did come on a few days later and Ultimate Rides repaired the problem. 2 months later [redacted] had a problem with the car, we looked at the car and we were then told that the car was looked at by another shop. We felt that the problem had something to do with the repairs done at the other shop. We then recommended that he take the car back to the shop that had previously worked on it. [redacted] spent $2100 on repairs at that shop and the car ran worse. If [redacted] purchased a warranty he can take the car anywhere of his choice to have it fixed. We believe that the repair shop may have missed a crack in the head or not resurfaced head when had repair done. We are not the shop that did that work. We will help [redacted] in making a warranty claim if he doesn't know how, but if he paid the other shop money to repair the car, that shop should take care of it.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Please review the attached letter with further response, as well as the attached photos provided to me by River West Auto Werks. I'd also urge you to contact my mechanic, [redacted], at River West Auto Werks. York can be reached at: [redacted]

Response:

We have told this customer numerous times to take the car back to the repair shop that did the head gasket repair. When doing a head gasket repair there should always be a resurfaced head and check for cracks. This customer has an extended service contract that has coverage and he should call the number on that warranty with further questions. If it is a covered item they will see that it gets repaired. (Ultimate Rides are not the ones that disassembled the engine nor did we do the head gasket repair)

I have purchased 2 cars and will be buying my 3rd here as well. Great customer service, great service dept. Best used auto dealership I ever had to work with! Extended warrantys are great to

I recently purchased a car from Ultimate Rides and they were great to work with. They were very friendly and responsive and addressed all of my questions and concerns. Their mechanic is top notch and took care of every small detail down to a burnt out light bulb. He went out of his way, above and beyond. Everything considered the people at Ultimate Rides care about the service they are providing and making sure you leave happy.

Bought a truck there last July. First month I had it, there was a vibration in the front end took it in a few times to get looked at they replaced a hub bearing but still had vibration took it in again and they said it was the tire tread making the vibration although it just has street tires on. Took it to a better shop and they found it was a U joint that was bad a easy find, also not even a year that I had it now rusting everywhere, leaking oil, radio has Issues rear seals went out. And to top it off trying to cancel the extended warranty for the past 2 month with the run around they are giving me I guess only one person knows how to take care of this. I know its a used truck but they should stand by there product Tried to trade it for a different truck but they wont work with you on that. Don't buy from them

Review: Went to dealer to trade my truck. They took my truck for a test drive and put it up on the hoist to look at undercarriage and a after that it wouldn't start. I got told the starter was shot. I drove from West Bend Wi to Oshko sh Wi without an issue. They were the last ones to touch my truck. I asked them to fix the starter and they said S_ _ T happens. They wanted to tow me across the street in a strange city because of their liability. I wasn't allowed to change the starter there nor would they borrow me a wrench to do so. I got told to go to Autozone and buy a starter and a wrench. I had to be towed from Oshkosh to West Bend and pay for a new starter when they were the last people to touch my car.Desired Settlement: They need to pay for the price of the new starter. I'll pay the tow. They were involved and need to be responsible

Response:

The customer was trying to trade in his Ford F350 that was leaking oil everywhere. While looking at the truck to see what we could give on trade we pulled the truck in to see where the oil was leaking from and then we started the truck back up and pulled it up front in front of the dealership. When the customer was ready to leave the truck did not start. Nobody touched the starter, whatever failed with the starter was internal. We are not going to fix someone else's truck, he could have left the truck there for us to fix the next day in the morning but he would have had to pay a service bill. That would have saved him the towing costs. The customer was extremely rude and blamed us for his problem. We told him that our mechanics work 9am to 5pm and it was after 5pmand we didn't have any tools available because the tools all belong to the mechanics. We helped push the truck onto a trailer at 10:30pm when we would have rather been at home with our families since we closed at 8pm.

Review: I bought a 2003 Suzuki Aerio SX in September of 2014. I was ecstatic about finding a low mileage vehicle (46,000) with features I had been looking for. The car was priced well-above blue book, but I was assured by the sale people at Ultimate Rides that it was practically brand new.

How wrong they were, and I believe knowingly.

Just a week after buying the car, I discovered that one of the catalytic convertors had been removed. The dealer was argumentative and argued but eventually agreed to fix it when I showed them that the car was legally required to have two catalytic convertors. The muffler I was sold was bad and I had to pay to have a new one installed when they put the catalytic convertor on.

Less than three months later, the exhaust assembly broke down prompting another expensive repair, where new pipes had to be re-welded. Six months into my ownership of this car, the front axle broke down causing another expensive repair to both the axle and the CV joints. Shocks and struts were bad too and those were taken care of shortly afterward, out of necessity.

The final straw came two weeks ago when I noticed a high pitch noise from deep inside the engine compartment. The flex plate had broken and messed up the seal on the torque convertor? Why had the flex plate broken at such low mileage?

Well, because it turns out the transmission was not the original part. The unit had been salvaged. Granted, none of this was disclosed to me at the time of purchase. The sales people had assured me I was getting a great deal by buying such a young car, which it turns out, was missing important components and contained many crucial drivetrain parts that were not as young as I was led to believe.Desired Settlement: I am seeking reimbursement for this vehicle as well as repair expenses. I will gladly let Ultimate Rides take the car back to their lot, for the $7,600 for which I paid for the vehicle and the $4112.55 for the repairs. My total desired payment is $11,712.55

Response:

The customer had a problem with the car a week after purchase and we took care of the problem as he states. The problems with the car after the repair we did is normal when buying a pre owned vehicle. The vehicles are used and not new, and every vehicle breaks. There were options to the customer to purchase an extended warranty on the car at the time of delivery and if there would have been one purchased more then likely all of his repairs would have been covered (depending on what coverage ). This customer hasn't called and asked us what kind of help we could give him on any repairs since the converter issue. We could have saved him hundreds on repairs here since he bought the car here. When parts are replaced in cars, used or new, a dealership does not have to disclose this to anyone. Those replaced parts could have been done elsewhere before we purchased the vehicle as well. Then the customer is having a new problem a year later, still hasn't called for any ricing from us and its been a year. When we safety inspected this car it checked out great and that's why the sales person assured him it was a great car. Once the car is in new ownership we have no way of knowing what can happen. The customer needs to understand that he bought a used car not a new car and all cars new or used break. If he would have called the service department we could have saved him money but he chose not to. We will not refund any money. He is more then welcome to trade the car at trade in / wholesale value only, we don't give retail on a trade.

[redacted] was my salesman and was nice to work with. [redacted] from financing was quick in finding me a good rate.I have had the vehicle 4 months now and no problems. I would do repeat business with them.

Bought an SUV from the Oshkosh store. We were looking at another car lot and the salesman was really pushy but we were treated very well here; the salesman provided carfax and answered all of our questions. We couldn't be happier.

great place, we love our new car, we are so glad we chose this place vs others around , saved 1000's and the one we bought looks nicer drives better. no complaints here will recommend .Ultimate Rides!!!!!

Review: The service from Ultimate Rides, Appleton Location was very unprofessional and very deceitful in all regards to their products being sold. Terms and Conditions were not discussed in full and information had been misconstrued. A 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Raliart had left the car lot with the understanding from the dealer that everything was in accordance to what had been discussed prior to the cars purchase. After a week, the car had exhibited a weak start or the car simply did not turn over. The battery was checked and had appeared bulged out and corroded. The car was taken back to the lot for investigation. [redacted] from Ultimate Rides had looked at the battery and stated the battery was fine, it was normal to bulge. A couple days later, the car had broken down on the side of the road and roadside assistance had to be called to jump start the vehicle. The tires were not changed prior to sale as a month later, the walls of the drivers side and rear drivers side had blown during a rainstorm putting the car in an emergency state costing over a hundred dollars for the tow. There were no car mats for the car, and the exhaust pipe had been rusted and severed through causing for the loud exhaust hence receiving a warning by local police for noise ordinance. The fuel economy information provided by Ultimate Rides had been falsely given as over hundreds of dollars had been spent on gasoline. After a few weeks, an oil change had been needed, a whole engine tune up had been needed, new items bought in order to keep the car running and the cars alignment had been off. I believe that as a car dealership it is unacceptable to sell a car to a potential buyer without fixing the damages that could cause major injury to another individual. Lastly, the loan amount was never accurate for the amount of the car. It was also discussed due to minor damages on the car that the price would be lower which was never the case.Desired Settlement: Based on the money spent already on the car, I believe that a car should have never been sold in that condition due to the states lemon law. A 30 day warranty should have been discussed and a though check through should have been completed by the dealership prior to the sale. Any other conditions other than listed should have been discussed to the buyers during purchase. Based on the issues with the car with more continuous issues. I would like a replacement car from this dealership that would compensate with the money spent on unnecessary repairs that should have never been.

Unfortunatly, this customer has not paid for this vehicle in full leaving a prommisary note of $325.00. I have called and left a message and this customer doesn't call back. Until we get paid in full there is nothing we can do.

Review: I recently purchased a car from Ultimate Rides in Wisconsin. Since then I have had nothing but issues. I payed 13,000 roughly for the vehicle and ive brought it back a few times because of issues and they have messed up on the diagnosis all of those times. Its only been a few months and now my transmission is slipping in my car. I want at least half of my money back for the vehicle because they have false advertising. They sell lemons and make it seem as if the cars are great,, I also know that they take old parts from old vehicles and place them into the new cars they are trying to sell.Desired Settlement: To get atleast half of my money back that I put into the vehicle. It cost more in repairs and if I would have known this I would have never bought the car

[redacted] brought the car in and it didn't have any shifting problems. We cant fix a car if it doesn't act up when its brought in. If she brings the car in and it has a shifting problem we will help her get it fixed.

Review: Bought a 03 Nissan altima from ultimate rides and within 3 days of driving I was out of oil. So I did an oil change and filled it up, 2 days later the vehicles oil was bone dry. The car burns a quart of oil every 50 miles. So I called ultimate rides to see what was going on. It said on the car info that it does not have excessive oil consumption, so I asked them what they do to make sure their cars are in working order and match the checklist they put on the vehicles, their response was as little as possible to get by. So to check for excessive oil consumption they just added oil and covered up the issue. Now they want to charge me $625 to try and fix the issue but don't know if it will fix it or not. I asked them if I could just trade in the car and buy a different one from them, the owners response, how can I take a car back that I can't sell, well you sold it to me 7 days ago and you were fine with it then and if you claim you can fix it then take it back and sell it. Nobody is on the same page here, the service guy says one thing but then the manager another. They sell lemons here, every vehicle has issues.Desired Settlement: I would prefer a trade in but would accept the repair being covered at no cost.

Review: I purchased the Mazda RX-8 on May 20th 2014. The only issue that was documented with the car at the time of the purchase was that the coolant sensor needed to be fixed. Four days after purchasing the car I ran out of gas on the side of the highway because the fuel gauge was broke and they failed to inform me of this. I took the car to be checked out my another mechanic and they found that the sway bar links were busted. On June 20th they finally got my car in to change coolant reservoir and fuel sending unit. While performing this they had to install a radiator due to return line valve being broken. After these repairs were made, on June 27th my car wouldn't start and I had to have it towed over a hour and a half back to the dealership. They tried telling me it was my fault that the car wouldn't start, because there was a special way to start the car. This statement from them is not true, because I asked a few certified Mazda dealerships if what they were telling me was true. There was a cylinder #2 misfire when working on my car and I told them I was going to take it somewhere else. They gave me the papers from this work on June 30th. I then took it to Matthews Tire, Appleton and they ended up having to replace 8 spark plugs and wires to ensure the car would continue to start. They had to fix the [redacted], install the new sway bar links and had to install a transmission cooler on the outside of the car because Ultimate Rides didn't install the previous radiator correctly. They completed this work on July 1st and by July 20th I was back in with my car due to a gas leak from when Ultimate Rides tried to change the fuel sending unit. They put the sending unit back together wrong and I had a major gas leak. I filled up my car and 2 gallons of gas came gushing out of the car. The work to fix this gas leak was completed on the 21st. I only had my car two months and I had 5 repairs done to it costing me $1,231.55 and that is not including time and money riding back and forth over an hour to take my car into get fixed (gas to pay people to follow me to take me back home). It is disappointing when you purchase a new car and half the time it's in the shop getting repairs and more money coming out of my pocket.Desired Settlement: I would hope that they could pay the cost of the repairs I had done on the car. I spent too much time and money on a car that I was told had no issues with it. My car was in the shop more then out the first two months of having my car. I am still paying off the repairs done to my car and none of this should of been an issue in the first place. I just really hope there is someone that can help settle this issue. I did file a complaint with the Revdex.com about a month ago, but received an email saying I had to file the complaint with the local office in Appleton, WI.

THERE IS NO WAY FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO KNOW HOW ACCURATE THE FUEL GUAGE IS. WE FIXED THE PROBLEM AT NO CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER. WE SHOWED HIM HOW TO START THE CAR AFTER HE HAD FLOODED IT. AT THAT TIME THE CAR NEEDED A TUNE UP, WHICH IS NORMAL MAINTANENCE AND BECAUSE HE PURCHASED THE CAR FROM US WE WOULD GIVE THE CAR A TUNE UP AT A DISCOUNTED RATE, BUT THE CUSTOMER CHOSE TO GO ELSEWHERE FOR THE WORK AND PAID DOUBLE WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE. IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM WITH A REPAIR THAT WE DID WE WILL LOOK AT AND REPAIR AT A DISCOUNTED RATE, ALSO FOR ANY FUTURE REPAIRS HE WILL ALWAYS GET A DISCOUNTED RATE EVEN THOUGH THE CUSTOMER DECLINED ALL EXTENDED WARRANTYS OFFERED.WE UNDERSTAND THAT OLDER SPORTS CARS CAN BE EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN.

Response:

I do not accept the response received from Ultimate Rides on August 27th via the Revdex.com online. When fist reporting this complaint to the Revdex.com I wrote a very detailed complaint that included all incidents with the car and I included all receipts. The response from Ultimate rides was very brief and not detailed at all. They did not address all the issues I brought up. I will respond to Ultimate Ride's response back to me line by line.

They stated that there is no way for them to know that the fuel gauge was broke. The day I bought the care I tried talking down the price of the car and Shawn told me that they could not lower the price because they spent a lot of money inspecting the car. Making sure that the fuel gauge was working should have been covered in their inspection. Ultimate Rides did tell me there was a certain way to start the car, which was after my car wouldn't start and I had it towed to them. As already stated in my complaint, I contacted multiple Mazda dealerships and they all told me there is no specific way to start this car. In the response back from Ultimate Rides they stated "At that time the car needed a tune up". This is not the reason the car was towed down to them on June 30th and this was not the issue at hand. The car would not start and it was due to Ultimate Rides preforming inadequate work on the car on June 20th when they had to replace the coolant reservoir and fuel sending unit while they were trying to fix the coolant senor and fuel gauge. Also, during the time they had the vehicle on June 30th there was a cylinder #2 misfire. They did tell me they would repair the car, but at this time I was dissatisfied with their work and I wanted to have the car fixed by a certified mechanic. I drove the car up to Matthews Tire in Appleton, WI and they fixed the issues that were occurring at the time. I have included a quote from [redacted] Manager of the College Ave. store, " Here are a couple of the issues that we found when the vehicle was brought to us. The radiator looked like it was replaced, however the transmission lines were leaking and we found that the lines were stripped. The sway bar was broken on one side. The engine light was also on and two codes were found(po300-random misfire and po076-VDI solenoid). On another visit there was a fuel smell and we found that a gasket by the fuel sending unit was not properly installed and was causing a leak.- [redacted]." As stated by [redacted] the radiator was replace but they put it in wrong. The mechanic could not get the replaced part off of the car and therefore a outer coolant device had to be installed. Ultimate Rides stated that they would fix any future repairs and honestly I am not interested in taking this car back to them ever. I would just like to be compensated for all the repairs/re-work I had to have done by Matthews Tire. In my initial complaint I included these receipts and I can send them again if necessary. When Ultimate Rides stated that older cars can be expensive to maintain, I do agree, but in this case I feel that Ultimate Rides is at fault. I responded back to everything Ultimate Rides had to say and I just want to discuss one more item that was not addressed. As stated in my initial complaint and by [redacted] there was a gas leak due to the fact that Ultimate Rides did not install the fuel sending unit properly when they were trying to fix it on June 20th.

In closing, I hope that this issue can be resolved in a professional manner. I have been through a lot of issues and repairs with this car within the first two months. Since having all issues mentioned in my complaint fixed by Matthews Tire on July 21st, I have not had any further problems.

Thank You, [redacted]

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I understand that you can't know if the car's fuel gauge will be accurate before the car leaves the lot, but when trying to fix this issue you created more issues with the car. You had to replace the radiator and that was done wrong because we ended up having to install an intercooler. You also tried fixing the fuel gauge which was done wrong and caused a gas leak. When the car was taken to Matthews Tire they had issues just trying to get the parts you tried working on off. We did contact you when issues arose and you didn't send us away. The point here is that we did not you doing work on the car after the fact you "tried" fixing it. You created more issues with the car when you did work on it and we wanted it fixed properly. We do appreciate the offers you gave us to have you fix this problems, but we did not have the time and money to keep running back to Oshkosh every week. The car is fixed and running fine now after we paid too much money to have the repairs done. We hope that we can come to an agreement with this issue. Can you meet us half way at least with the repair costs we had to have done by Matthew's Tire?

Review: My son [redacted] leased a 2012 Chev, Cruze. My wife [redacted] co-signed for the Cruze. My son, ([redacted]) could no longer make payments. The bank, ([redacted]) gave him a choice to sell it or [redacted] was going to repo it. So we didn't want my wife's credit to become trashed. We decided to trade the Chev Cruze off. My wife, ([redacted]) owned a 2008 Ford Taurus we would also trade to make one conventional loan, as the Ford Taurus was financed by Fox Communities C.U. Clintonville, Wi.. We would trade the 2008 Ford Taurus if it would be beneficial. We found a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT at Ultimate Rides to make the trades with. Trading the 2012 Chev Cruze would put us upside down on a loan. The financing for the Lincoln would be done by, Wells Fargo Auto Dealer from Texas. Jim from Ultimate rides, ( Ultimate Rides finance person) and the owner Jeff stated that Wells Fargo would NOT do the loan if we did not trade the 2008 Ford Taurus off! This comment was stated in front of myself, My wife, [redacted], my son [redacted] and his girl friend, [redacted]! Ultimate Rides fudged the paper work to show that we had an even trade. But realistically we paid Ultimate Rides to take our 2008 Ford Taurus off our hands for $3800.00. This really put our loan upside down. Ultimate Rides took advantage of us because of our financial situation! Ultimate Rides blamed Wells Fargo for demanding the trade and Wells Fargo declines ever saying that. I still owe Ultimate Rides $2000.00 for a down payment on the LIncoln. I want my $3800.00 back. They took advantage of us!Desired Settlement: I'm receiving SSD, I receive $1850.00 per month. I want my money back. Suspend his dealer license. I would like my money back!

$3800.00 What I paid to trade my 2008 Taurus.

First off the customer did not pay ultimate rides to take there Taurus trade. We have proving documents from Wells Fargo that if they didn't trade in both cars they could not get financed on the Lincoln. The customer knows this and that is why we had to go to court (taking further legal action) because the customer hasn't paid the actual $2500.00 they still owe. We went to court against them and made an agreement that we would discount the down payment from $2500 to $2000 and now they don't want to pay that either. The state of Wisconsin also closed the file on this because the Weid's would not return their calls. The down payment of $2500.00 that they wrote us a check for came back as un sufficient funds from the bank and that is why it ended up in court. The Wied's may have called Wells Fargo but we have documentation showing otherwise. There payment that was court ordered is due today, Jan 31st and if its not paid by today it will be a fault judgment against them for breaking the agreement. At this time there is nothing we can do to help them out.

Review: I purchased a 2006 Volkswagon Passat from Ultimate rides in Oshkosh on Tuesday June 3, 2014. As I was driving it home (less than 5 miles from the dealership) on the afternoon of June 3rd the "oil pressure" light came on. The display on the console read "turn engine off immediately." When I arrived at home and I told my dad what had happened. He called Ultimate Rides right away and they asked if I could take the car back to them. My dad asked them "are you going to be responsible if the engine blows up ion her way back?" They said, "we'll send a tow truck." Less than 2 hours after I left the lot with the vehicle they had the car back in their possession. They called and left a message on my phone the following day (Wednesday June 4th) saying it was fixed and ready to be picked up. Thursday June 5th the "check engine" light came on and it was shortly followed by the "oil pressure" light coming on again. I called them again and they towed the truck back to their shop on Thursday. On Friday I spoke via telephone with the owner [redacted] who said they wanted to keep the car a few more days to test ride it. Yesterday he called and said he personally drove it for "a couple hundred miles" and it is fine. I told him I had lost faith in their ability to fix the car and the car itself and wanted my 4,000.00 down payment back. He proceeded to tell me he couldn't because I had financed an additional 4,000.00. I spoke with the finance company Credit Acceptance in Michigan and they said all they would need is a request from the dealership to void the contract. The owner of Ultimate Rides Jeff Jensen was mean, rude and nasty and he lied to me and refuses to do right by me.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to void the financing contract and return my 4,000.oo down payment so I can go elsewhere and purchase a reliable vehicle.

The complaining customer was supposed to call and close this case because we returned to her all of the money she put down on the car and unwound the deal with CAC. Customer is satisfied and the deal has been undone.

I can't believe what the other reviews say. I buy a car from this dealership at least every two years and have absolutely nothing but great service. Everytime I have a problem they get it in right away. I love this place and I will be buying all my cars here in the future as well. People have to understand this is a used car lot not a new one. YOUR NOT BUYING NEW CARS!

Review: Purchased a 2006 Chevrolet from Ulitamate Rides that I found on Cars.Com. After reviewing the pictures I called and talked with salesman [redacted]. Was listed as a 2 owner and after Jim read the Car Fax he said it was actually a 1 owner, the owner had moved and changed address why it was showing 2 owners. Was surprised when I got the title to find out that previous owner must have traded it in and that dealership sold it to a auction company which then sold it to ULTIMATE Rides.

Jim claimed this was one of the nicest and cleanest truck that they had on the lot for a long time. He said it was a 9/10. I asked about photos of inside of the box and told me there was nothing to see except mounting holes for fifth wheel was mounted and the inside of the box was as clean as the rest of the truck. Asked if the truck had aluminum wheels or still and was told considering the model it had aluminum wheels.

I asked Jim if it came with a 90 day 3000 mile warranty and he told me it came with their standard 30/1000. I would not have to worry about it because it had been thru the shop and anything wrong was fixed. I was worried about if I flew down that I wouldn't have any problems on trip home. Turned out I found someone coming this way and made a deal to get the vehicle hauled to Rapid City SD.

I felt sick when I seen the truck. There were 4 2" holes cut into the bed and paint peeling where the holes we cut.. The wheels were steel and rusted, front tires were worn and weathered bad. I though thats what I get. The fuel tank was almost empty so I filled it. Since it rained I hadn't noticed the fuel leak till I took it to work next and it leaked on the pavement. This is when I found the worst of the truck, fuel lines rusted, drive shaft rusted so much I am scared to pull a load with it. Spare tire and hoist rusted so much they are useless. After driving it less than 300 miles ABS and Check engine light came on.

Called and talked with [redacted]. and asked about their warranty was listed in the paper work sent. Was told it's their standard warranty on all vehicles. Again he told me that I wouldn't have to worry as I wouldn't be having any problems. When I told him about fuel lines he claimed they never leaked there. I informed him they probably never had enough fuel in it to leak. Said he would have his mechanic call me. Never got a call. Called back and finally asked if I could return the truck. I would load it up and haul it back so I wouldn't be putting miles on it. Was willing to take a hit on the truck. Jim said he would have to talk to the owner which was to be there that afternoon. Never got a call back.

By this time check engine light came on to I posted a message on all 3 stores hoping to here from the owner. After a couple days went by I called [redacted]. and he said he got my message and was surprised the issue wasn't taken care of (fuel line) so he transferred me to the mechanic. Mechanic told me to take it to a shop and have a estimate put together to find out what it would take it to get it fixed. The estimate was just under 4000.00.

Had the local Chevrolet dealer check out the fuel lines and other issues with the truck. I faxed them with the list of repairs along with GM part numbers about 10:00 mountain time, never heard anything so I called [redacted] to see if he got the fax. Said that he would get it to the owner to see what they would do for me. Next day I get a text message from Rob telling me the price on the mirrors was outrageous and not addressing the out issues. He asked what kind of ridiculous place I had do the estimate and I told him an Honest Dealership.

Rob told me the owner would sell me the parts at their cost to keep the price down. They would not pay for the labor to put the parts on. Still concerned over the mirrors that was the least of my concerns. I told Rob that what I thought would be fair was to send me the parts at no cost and I would pay the labor or I would buy the parts and they pay the labor. Rob said he would contact the owner and get back to me. I got a text later saying the best they could do was sell me the parts at their cost. Tried to call Rob back but have not heard back from him. I also never ever head from the owner.

I would like to return the truck to them with a full refund or to pay for the repairs it needs. I wished I would have found the reviews listed by others on cars.com. This is the first dealer I ever bought a vehicle from that won't stand behind it. I feel I have tried to work with them. They give internet buying a bad name. Just got a call from dealership that it also needs a 400.00 sending unit.Desired Settlement: First I would like them come and get the truck or I would like them to pay for the repairs since they refused to work with me. I pray that no other person has to go thru what I'm going thru.

[redacted] bought a 2006 Chevy Duramax 2500 pick up with 113656 miles on it. We explained to [redacted] that there were 5th wheel holes cut into the box. We carry 100 trucks at all times and there is not one truck on the lot that does not have rust on the drive shaft. This truck is 9 years old with 113656 miles on it. Its completely normal to see rus ton the drive shaft. There were no signs of leaking fuel at the time we had the truck in our possession. When the delivery person that [redacted] hired to haul the truck sis not properly tie down the vehicle. It could have damaged the fuel lines. Diesel trucks have to have 50 PSI of fuel pressure from tanks to run. If the lines were leaking like described by [redacted] the truck would not have run. We offered to save [redacted] thousands on parts and to help him with labor. For example the mirror was $1300 and our cost is $175. Prices on his truck were crazy high. [redacted]s second option is to bring the truck back to us and we would do a 50/50 split for the first 30 days or 1000 miles on parts and labor. We feel [redacted] got a great truck for a great price. When buying an older high mileage vehicle should really look it over before buying it, different people expect different things. Hopefully these 2 offers help [redacted] out.
