RE: Mr. [redacted]
File No: [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted]:
Thank you for forwarding the complaint from Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] filed several Revdex.com and Attorney General complaints in October, November and December of 2014.
In...

our thorough investigation into this manner we pulled the sales contract from 2008 and have reason to believe that Mr. [redacted] was in fact the person who purchased the 1998 Ford Taurus on July 15, 2008. At that time, Mr. [redacted] provided CarHop with his Minnesota valid drivers' license, social security number, a bank statement from Wells Fargo, an attorney letter from [redacted], an invoice from AT&T, and another attorney letter from [redacted] as proof of residency.
Mr. [redacted]'s first payment to UAC came back as NSF and when UAC contacted him he stated that UAC had the wrong checking information, and that he would go to the sales location on August 6, 2008 to make the past due payment. UAC received Mr. [redacted]'s first payment on August 8, 2008 via a credit card payment over the phone. In fact UAC contacted Mr. [redacted] on many occasions for his delinquent payments, and even spoke with him at his place of employment in September 2008; then in October 2008 his place of employment informed UAC that he was no longer employed there. Mr. [redacted] never informed UAC in 2008 that he didn't purchase this vehicle. Eventually after failed payment plans on Mr. [redacted]'s end, his vehicle was repossessed in December 2008.
In May 2009 UAC turned Mr. [redacted]'s account over to a third party collection agency, JCC. It was not until October 2011 that Mr. [redacted] contacted UAC to say that this is fraud and not his account, which contradicts Mr. [redacted]'s statement in his Revdex.com complaint letter that he was unaware of the fraudulent transaction until 2012.
In June 2012 Mr. [redacted] went to another CarHop sales location to apply for a vehicle and was denied because of his previous repossession. At that time, Mr. [redacted] provided a Texas drivers license with the identical signature as in 2008 on his Minnesota drivers' license; in addition the same social security number was on both credit applications. Nevertheless, we did delete the 2008 transaction with the three national credit bureaus. On February 16, 2016 we re-checked and this transaction is not showing up with the three national credit bureaus.
Please contact me if I may be of further assistance. Thank You.
Sincerely,

investigation, this was a timing issue involving Ms. [redacted]’s agreement with UAC topay her delinquent amount due by 2:00pm on July 25, 2016. Unfortunately, Western Union didnot post her payment until several hours later, after 5:00pm. UAC did not disable the vehicle dueto her newly amount due, but disabled the vehicle because the delinquent amount due was notposted by Western Union in a timely manner, nor did Ms. [redacted] call UAC with the WesternUnion confirmation number.Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle was enabled on or about July 27, 2016. I have left Ms. [redacted]several voice messages to ensure that she is satisfied, but I have not heard back from her yet.I encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact me at the number below if she should have any furtherquestions or concerns. Please contact me if I may be of further assistance. Dear Ms....

Keate:
Thank you for forwarding the complaint from Mr. [redacted]. I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on
August 24, 2015. Mr. [redacted] paid off his contract with UAC (NE) on November 17, 2011 and
UAC mailed his lien release to him on December 2, 2011. However, Mr. [redacted] stated that he
never received it.
On August 24, 2015 UAC faxed the lien release to the Nebraska DMV office. I also e-mailed a

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2016/01/13) */
Dear Ms. [redacted]:
Thank you for forwarding the complaint from Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] purchased her vehicle from CarHop on October 10, 2011 and Universal Acceptance Corporation (UAC)
(TX) held her contract.
To best assist Ms....

[redacted], I spoke with CarHop. Since her purchase CarHop has honored its warranty with repairs to the head gasket in May 2012 and the transmission in April 2013. In May
2013 Ms. [redacted] took her vehicle to the repair facility and it was diagnosed as needing a
crank shaft sensor, which is a non-covered repair, therefore the repair claim was denied.
In May 2013 Ms. [redacted] contacted the Revdex.com, (case # [redacted]). CarHop replied offering to
pay for another diagnosis and see how to help once Ms. [redacted] took her vehicle to the repair facility. CarHop did not hear back from Ms. [redacted], not did she take the vehicle to the shop.
Ms. [redacted] stopped paying on her contract with UAC. UAC sent Ms. [redacted] a Notice of
Sale letter on June 11, 2013, with instructions on how to redeem her vehicle. UAC did not hear
from Ms. [redacted]. Therefore the vehicle was sold and Ms. [redacted] is responsible for the
remaining balance. UAC is unable to change the accurate information we furnished to the credit
reporting agencies.
Please contact me if I may be of further assistance. Thank You.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/01/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response is a fabrication. Its a lie. I did take my car to get the transmission serviced in April but guess what? That May date is not for a crank shaft, I do not even know what that is about. My car was in the shop for that whole month I picked up my car on 5/03/2013 with a transmission installed by New World Auto Care, the mechanic was nice enough to tell me that the transmission was not working as it should, but that it was the one that Carhop supplied and that they had called Carhop and that they would not be sending a replacement. That little kick on the transmission was basically that the vehicle would not work or shift or for that matter move 50 yards on its own. I have the receipt to prove, that no other work was ordered or recommended, I was basically told to go on my way. Or how the shop owner said, "look Bi[redacted] I dont even get payed for the work, that is what Carhop supplied. Carhop knowingly knew that they had supplied a transmission that was no good, but would not replace it (even though their warranty covered it). So since Carhop likes to fabricate events as such, my (vehicle never left the shop) yeah it was there awaiting an arrival of a transmission that was no good and when I would call to see status of why they were not sending a transmission over, I was told by the reps at Carhop to ride the bus, hitch a ride or walk. Carhop failed to provide the warranty that I was due, they only wanted me to continue to pay on a vehicle that was parked and just a lemon at that. I had issues with the car at only three months of owning it and I still continued to pay in good faith. Why should I be stuck with the end result of a company that does not stand by their customers and knowingly and purposely does bad business practices. Again the receipt proves I picked up my vehicle, or ( rather towed it away from the shop) on 05/03/013 with no mention of a crank shaft. Even then Carhop refused to right the wrong that they did, they still wanted to continue collecting payment on a vehicle that was not in working condition, due to their own negligence. Again the proof in the email that shows no mention of a supposed crank shaft and the proof of the receipt also shows no mention of such item or of anything of that matter.
