Southwood Reality lies and they have the absolute WORST customer serviceI was promised a $6-month lease, and now they are trying to over-charge
I am currently a tenant in Ashbrook Village Apartments (for not much longer though), which is under the Southwood Reality umbrellaI signed a month lease for what a month lease charges ($480), with the promise that I would then again sign another month lease for the same rate ($480)That will add up to a month lease for $480....which is what Ashbrook Village offers on their one year "special"The manager at the time ***, promised me that when it was time for me to sign my second month lease that I would be able to sign for the same amount ($480)Now that it is time for me to re-sign a new lease, the company decided to decline the original offer and raise my rent $70! Southwood Realty promises luxury living with "the perfect blend of coziness and ease for a remarkable lifestyle" but the conditions are inhospitable
While uncomfortably residing at the aforementioned apartment homes, my sister and I were devastated to find the inhospitable conditions to be anti "the perfect blend of coziness and ease for a remarkable lifestyle," as suggested on the company's website
In terms of the actual unit, we found: the smoke detector continuously beeped (reminiscent of the fine that Southwood Realty incurred in for faulty smoke detectors), extremely thin walls, uneven bedroom doors that would not stay closed, weak water pressure, and a toilet not caulked around the bottom
In terms of the complex, we found: overflowing trash areas that were too small to handle the amount of garbage provided by the quantity of residents, unkempt structure landings, untreated spider and insect nests directly outside of our apartment door and throughout the facility,

Broken window for three weeks, brought in used refrigerator with bugs inside and still has bugs dropping from the inside

I have had a roach problem since I have moved in and it only seems to get worse despite me being told someone was out on the 11th of last month (I was home all day nobody came)I pay a pest fee included in my rent of $just to live in an apartment infested with roachesThey are on the walls when I come home at night I have found some in my fridge they are everywhere that is disgustingI have talked to other tenants and they have roach issues as well with no solutions from your companyThis is unacceptable something more needs to be done at this pointIt's embarrassing and nasty
