I wrote a check for my rent and when I checked my account other bills came out as well and that made my account NSFSo I called Brittany Place Apartments and spoke with Stacy and she said that she has not received any notification that the check bounced I advised that I was going to get money and bring to the office well you have to get a money order and not cash Stacy said that is fineAs I was on my way to bring the money order the third party vendor that Brittany Place uses to process payments tried to draft again I called Stacy and asked why did she not tell them I was bringing the money she said that well this is the process I said when I called you then you should of said no just put it in your checking cause they are going to draft again and she said well its not us its ***I called *** and they stated its whatever business agreement Brittany Place has with them which she cant discuss and *** advised me to speak with the manager at Brittany Place and stated she understood

Ac is not working properly
My ac is not working properlyIn my apartment at hunt club villageI have called the rental office numerous times but keep getting told its working It gets in my apt and the ac is set on I can't cook or do laundry until midnight I am a cancer survivor and due to chemo I get sick when I get overheatedI pay my rent every month and I'm never latePlease help

Ive been living at this location for years now and im moving on the 12th of july and I called the office at the beginning of the month of JulyI spoke with Sheri and asked her if there would be any late feeshe stated my rent would be I explained to her that my rent is because im only staying for daysShe put me on hold and came back on the lineShe stated I would have NO late fee that's all she saidI called back today the 6th wanting to pay my rent and they told me I had a late feeI then proceeded to speak with the manager and she was extremely rude talking over meShe stated per lease agreement it states rent is late after the 6thI did tell her im fully aware of the late fee but one of her employees told me something differentShe then started talking over me again and I asked her for the number of corporateI left the regional manager a message and am waiting for a responseIt is completely unfair that I got lied to and the company is being rude about it

They told me and my wife they had an apartment open for us and that we had to fill out the application forms onlineEach one was $So it came to $since we both had to do oneThey then called us back and said oh we forgot to tell you that someone else had a security deposit on that apartmentI asked for my refund since they failed to tell us that before submitting the application, they lied because I had asked about itAll this happened about a month, maybe a month and a half agoI called them back yesterday and they said they'd get back to me and that the application forms are nonrefundableThey failed to tell us that as well before we submitted them

Request a credit or refund for a "water leak" that affected my utility bill for many months
I am a resident at*** - Cloisters of Concord, and have been staying here since November, I've contacted the office managers and their corporate office in Gastonia on several occasions (06/09/2016, 6/10/06/11/206, 7/12/2016, 8/30/2016, 8/31/2016, & 9/8/2016) regarding a water leakage in my apartmentThe water leakage affected my water/sewer bill for several months, by decupling (10x) my billing rateAs per the rental agreement, I reported the leak, and did my job as a tenant in minimizing damage to the carpet and reducing the chance of mold by putting a large mixing bowl on the floor to catch the leakThe apartment management and the maintenance department should be held liable for their negligence and refusal to properly fix the problems within a timely mannerIt took them many months to fix the leakage, while I had to pay the costly bills

Black mold and hole in wall
I went to the office and told them about black mold growing from the bottom or my wall t the beginning of July and they said someone would come outI called back July 13th at 3:PM.The lady I spoke with wanted to do another work orderI told her I had already called and she said she saw the work orderNo one came outJuly 19th around 4:I called back because there was more mold and a wet areaShe finally sent someone outHe sprayed the wall with some chemical on the wet wall and floorWhen I came home from work the following day there was a hole in the wallThe hole is still in the wall a week later and they cant tell me when it's going to be fixed.The area smells bad

Regarding Huntersville Commons in Huntersville, NC - Southwood Realty
1) New staff in the office are very unprofessional and rude; no experience in the industry (admitted by the Regional Manager)2) Grounds are littered with feral cats in which the property management company has even admitted they do not know what to do and have run out of optionsResidents feed cats and management doesn't address the problem3) Landscaping is not kept up with, grass is overgrown, breezeways and pool are not blown off properly, residents do not clean up after their pets (leave bags of feces in the breezeway) and littered all over the common areas, lights in breezeways have been burned out for months, street lights have also been out for months4) Families of 7-living in bedroom apartments5) Pool is unsafe - no monitoring of drinking, residents from other communities using it and vulgar activity around children6) Dumpster areas are littered with trashRealizing the tenants have no regard for their community, this also lies on the management as well to ensure rules that matter are followedThis community is absolutely horrible and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy
Regarding Southwood Realty
Woman who answers the phone is a gatekeeperShe will not give you her first name and is extremely rude and unprofessional, will not answer questions, does not offer resolution, talks down to you and interrupts you when speakingIn order to speak with a Regional Manager, you have to leave a message in a general mailbox, they will not allow you to speak with a live personThey dictate to you who is allowed to VISIT you in your apartment!
Little do they even realize, residents leave bags of dog feces in the breezeway, they refuse to do anything about the feral cat issue and smell it causes, bedroom apartments have 6+ residents living in them, the dumpster areas are littered with trash; the property as a whole is disgustingSouthwood Realty takes no pride in their property and treats their good residents like trash

There's a infestation of roaches and other bugs that management will not treatThere's no telling who lives in the apartment complex because they dont do background checksMaintenance issues never get resolved there's lights out all over the complex thay they dont fix even after multiple complaintsThere's groups of people who hang out in the parking lot that don't live there and with the lights out its a safety issueThey know but don't care about it

This issue has been going on about six months or moreIn the lease that everyone signs, it states that the tenant will not make others uncomfortable especially after a center time which is consider, quiet timeThe noise is all hours of the night, I can't rest at night or during the day due to the noiseMy light fixtures and patio sliding door rattles, from all of the stomping and bumping aroundIt almost sounds like some type of abuse going oni am now on heavy medication due to having anxiety attacks and headachesThe previous managers that were at the office had me be a look out for them, I only had a problem with the smell of drugs from the upstairs apartmentThe managers wanted them out but had no way of getting this doneThese tenants hit a car twice and ran into an occupied apartment

I did not receive my additional refund of $from my last month's rent credit which was on my file prior to move out
Items below summarize my findings:
- I had a credit of $prior to my move out;
- My intent to vacate letter was submitted in a timely manner;
- I paid June rent in the management office;
- I paid July pro-rated rent in the management office;
- *** submitted my close out recommendation letter to Southwood in
early July and the letter clearly stated I have a $refund credit due to me;
- Deduction and receipt of the $security refund, leaving a credit of $755;
- Southwood's Statement of Deposit Details depicts the $credit;
- Undocumented and unjustified deduction of my rent credit balance
Paying my June and prorated July rent in the office, clearly left me with my original credit of $at the time of vacating the property in July Therefore, I am sure this is just an oversight and can quickly be resolved with the mailin

I asked for information concerning my contract with the company and party who answered the phone would not comply
I called on 8/23/and asked to speak with a managerManager came on the line and I asked what company my information was given to without my permissionShe would not give me the information

the management of this company sucks! I have been in my apartment for almost years and have seen the deterioration of the property in six years no carpet shampoo, paint job on the exterior or interior! they don't repair anything and if they do its a "C" student type repair which means it breaks again or is worst I have exposed outlets that they still haven't come to recover and my blinds are old and wore and I was told by an area manager that they don't replace they will put them up if I purchase and want to replace and they will give me a can of paint at no charge if I want to paint! I don't own this property I rent an apartment...so what is their responsibility as the property owner to the tenants who pay rent? nothing? they suck!

This company is trying to charge me for day of rent when I was not on the property
