My actual complaint was not addressed. US Coachways subcontracts their bus contracts on a regular basis and did so with our trip. Our actual bus and driver came from a different company who US Coachways contracted to take us.
I believe they could have accommodate our request for a smaller bus and price.
The request for a refund of extra fees was also not addressed. The contract reads that you may make ONE contract change for FREE. This was not done.

This statement is not accurate. We asked for outlets initially, the wifi was additional. We did not want it at no cost. We asked for a price with and without wifi which your company failed to produce. We were told to have a rider make their phone a hot spot, but we are not guaranteed service everywhere. Also, we refused to speak with you on the phone until a quote with and without wifi was provided. That is why we never had a conference call. The $250 is not vaild if you stated we had to pay to SEE a bus and then were charged 4x the amount we expected.

Once again US Coachways directs the consumer back to the prvosions of the agreement the consumer will only be entitled to a 5% refund for malfunctioning AC Our offer is final.

Please have the consumer supply me with his government issued ID and email address for verification.

This is my formal complaint so it should be noted regardless of whether or not I signed the contract.  Every person that rides any of your chartered buses are customers and has a right to complain.  I never stated or suggested that the the contract was with my minor daughter simply that my minor daughter was a customer and thus I had a right to advocate a complaint on her behalf.  On the other hand, you are correct in that I am not the one who signed the contract and not the one who should receive a refund which is why my complaint and resolution could've been solved when I originally contacted you last week about replacing the bus not refunding.

When I originally called the depot and talked to the dispatcher, Kevin, he stated he would see about a refund being made, since the bus clearly was not safe to be travelling from Delaware to North Carolina with the safety hatch held together with string (see attached picture).  I also think that the endangerment the driver put the adult chaperones and children in, while driving in rush hour traffic while talking on her cell phone, not once, but FOUR times!  I'm pretty sure that is against the law, as she held the phone in her hand and did not use a Bluetooth.  They also were supposed to send a 30 passenger bus, but instead sent the full size "broken bus" and then lied about the hatch being broken.  This is not delivering what was promised or what we booked and why we feel we are entitled to a full refund.  I spent numerous hours and phone calls on my own time to deal with this, just trying to get a hold of anyone at this company is ridiculous.  I have never dealt with a company that really has no regard for the customer and actually tries to blame the customer for their issues.

I was interested in chartering a bus for a university trip. I spoke with their rep back and forth and had everything arranged and the university issued a deposit check and sent it to the company. They only gave you three days to get in, which I thought suspicious. I told the rep it might take longer than 3 days since it was to be cut on the proceeding day. The check was mailed. Then I get an e-mail from the company stating they no longer had a bus available (this is 3 months before the reservation) and then said they had a sister company that could do it but it was nearly twice the price. I believe this company is engaging in unethical practices (bait and switch), and I would urge extreme caution in dealing with them. I'm not at all surprised they are not Revdex.com accredited.

Given the severity of the complaint we feel a 10 % refund offer is not acceptable.  We had members  of our group physically ill and unable to complete the trip.  We were over two hours late arriving to our destination. Every single person on the bus trip was overcome by heat and fumes.  So much so that we had to stop the trip and get fresh air before we were able to continue the trip.  We were not delivered the services promised.  The trip down was late and physically unbearable.  We arrived home late as well and while the trip home was comfortable as far as the temperature and fumes were concerned, we were all uncomfortable and on edge due to the unsafe way the bus was being driven.   We will accept a 100 % refund.

[Your Answer Here] US Coachways has in no way accepted responsibility for sending a bus knowing it was not mechanically sound to make the trip we contracted them to make. I want an explanation of how 16 hours driving time and 19 hours on-duty time for a driver is lawful and does not put passengers at risk, and is not against FMCSA regulations.  I want an apology from US Coachways to my students who worked hard and raised money over several months to take this trip and pay for the expensive hotel rooms they couldn't use one night because of US Coachways' lack of judgement when sending the bus they did.

We are not disputing US Coachways' initial increase of price from $5,186 to $10,978; we agreed to this price increase before it was charged, and recognize that it was due to US Coachways' fleet selling out because of a historic event. We are, however, requesting a partial refund because the vehicles and services provided by US Coachways were subpar.  We feel that $5,792 (approximately 50% of the total cost) is an appropriate amount considering the severity of conditions on the buses and the negative experience of our riders.  We would hope that US Coachways would be able to recoup some of this refund from the partner from which they rented the unacceptable buses and drivers.  For reference, I am attaching our original memo, submitted to US Coachways on January **, 2017, which provides additional details on specific problems with each of the two buses.Thank you for your assistance resolving this matter.
