Ms [redacted] , we have received a complaint regarding our interaction with you on 8/12/ Thank you for your response to our customer service interaction with you We have fully reviewed the minute phone call you had with our representative During that phone call our representative spent time with you to understand all the benefits you could receive if you enrolled into a federal consolidation program.During this call, she made it known that our company was a third party private document preparation company, which prepares the documents for the consumer self submission We are not a loan provider, loan service company, nor do we forgive the loans We are very similar to a tax preparer, working on your behalf to identify the programs that provide the best value and then for a fee complete the documents.During the phone call our representative asked if you had created your FSA ID to be able to confirm your loan types and balancesIt was revealed that you have not, she asked, with your permission I can walk you through your FSA ID set up and then walked you through that process We have added another step in our process to ensure our potential clients understand we are, with their permission, helping them create their ID if they do not want to do it themselves.Since you did not become a client after our assistance, your private information was purged from the system the only information retained is your name, your email and your phone number.At this time we have no other information in our system and thank you for making us aware of your interaction with our companyIf you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us[redacted] Compliance

I begin a business relationship in May of It took a few months for USSLH to supposedly process and consolidate my student loansI thought this company did its job so I continued to pay monthly fees my intial fee was paid off immediatelyU found out in Sep 2015, that USSLH did not con SD olidate my student loans because I received a bill from Federal Student Loans asking for around a month when I was quoted from USSLHI contacted Federal Student Loans and they stated that they do not even due business with USSLHThis was done with a three way call between all partiesI am now on a forbearance with the Feds and paid for, depended on as well as trusted USSLHThis company takes advantage of and deceives peopleI have proof of payments as well as documented emails from USSLH employees

We have investigated this claim against USSLS and found the following areas of inconsistency with this customer complaint: The client called us on 6/12/in response to and advertisement for student loan consolidation assistance Which means USSLS did not call the client misrepresenting ourselves as their current service company Per the recorded conversation, never did the client represent the scenario in which they believed they were talking to their service company The $cost for document preparation and qualification into the program was represented just as thatNever did USSLS do anything to imply that cost went towards their loan USSLS completed the document preparation on their behalf and fulfilled our complete obligation to provide the services hired for We have refunded this clients $initial deposit in act of good faith USSLS is transparent in all areas of service as to our role within the process and in addition provide free consultations to further help people understand their options in a very confusing market, when they will receive little to no help from their current loan service company USSLS, is compliant with all local and federal laws, is charter members with The Association For Student Relief and operates with client service and completion at the forefront of all interaction

I would not hesitate to contact USSLS if you need help with student loan consolidationTheir staff is knowledgeable, personable and extremely helpfulI am saving 80% on my monthly payments since signing upYou will not regret your choice to make a simple phone callThere is a one time enrollment fee, that is sizeable, but at an 80% savings on monthly payments that was not a deterrentThe enrollment fee can also be broken up into payments Also, I found out while talking to the representative that the company is Christian based and even gives their first fruits back to the local church

Mrs [redacted] , We take pride in ensuring we provide a service that meets and exceeds our clients expectations Upon receipt of this complaint we have looked into your file in detail You contracted USSLS to identify, complete and submit the necessary items for your Federal Consolidation on 9/23/ USSLS identified that your status was still showing as a half time or more enrolled student and worked to have this status updated On 11/06/USSLS, completed and filed the appropriate documentation for the consolidation On 11/21/your file was in Certification process with the Department Of Education On 12/6/the Department of Education was notified that you the client cancelled and the consolidation was stopped USSLS was contracted to complete all the required steps to facilitate a Federal Consolidation and qualify the file for an Income Based Repayment Plan USSLS FULLY completed our contracted services and the cancellation of your consolidation was completed by you on 12/6/ Our service department will immediately, if desired by you, work directly with you to ensure your loans are consolidated and you are qualified into a program that benefits you A refund on our services is not available at this point as our service was completed fully and it was due to loan holder cancellation that the consolidation was not completed Our service manager will contact you directly to confirm the necessary information needed to complete your consolidation Sincerely, USSLS Client Solutions Department

This USSLS Company is a Joke a scam, to put it simply doing business with them is like Paying a company to download ITunes to your computer for free, then paying Apple after the fact for songsDon't be an uniformed consumer, get out of debt by being informed and aware of your situation You DO NOT need to pay Any company to consolidate your federal student loan debt DO NOT PAY for this service, as they literally do nothingAll USSLS has done for me is fill out the electronic application for debt consolidate that exists online for company (GreatLakes)the I already have loans throughWho which by the way is also a poor company to do business withImpersonal, lack in willingness to assist with my inquires, excessive "processing / filling" fees, which is also a total joke
