This consumer was enrolled by an affiliate to USSLS, studentloansvcs We have no record of what the enrollment company said or didn't sayHowever, the consumer went through compliance where she was notified that she is not enrolling with the government, she is enrolling into third party service and there is no affiliate with the government Additionally, during the compliance call, she was made aware all fees were for document preparation and would not be applied to her student loan balance USPS tracking shows the documents were delivered and accepted by the client.StudentLoanSVCS who collected the fees are not in business The consumer will be given a refund from their reserve account they had with USSLS

This file was researched immediately upon notification USSLS contacted client on 3/30/and refunded their document preparation fees The US Postal Office, lost the package that was sent to PR, USSLS offered to complete the documents and resend at no charge The client received the refund on 4/6/by check mailed priority mail to PRSee the confirmation below

In review of this file and the recordings we found that the client was told after the loans were removed from the bankruptcy and the NSLDS reflected the removal, the documents would be filed A letter from the bankruptcy attorney would not suffice as the DOE would reject the consolidation due to loan status We have refunded this client to appease their request

I was contacted by this company last year after reading about them on FacebookThey went through the qualifying questions on my student loan debt and what my circumstances were at the timeThey were able to put me in a program that gave me financial relief the first yearWhen it came time to recertify Michelle Rose who was handling my account from the beginning was able to get me into a different plan based on my increase in incomeI have been very satisfied with the service and professionalism that I have experienced with US Student Loan Services

We have reviewed the recorded phone call with Sam and are a little confused regarding your complaint? During this phone conversation Sam explained the process,... that we’d be preparing the documents and you’d be signing and self submitting them to the government for your consolidation. You were not binding yourself to a consolidation with us, rather we were completing the paperwork for you. During this call you completed a third party compliance call to ensure you fully understood the program.Additionally, you spoke with our billing department to rearrange your payment dates so they would be more affordable. (Note at this time all of our services were rendered, we were working with you to make sure you were not impacted financially).On 6/23/2105, two months after our services were rendered, you submitted a question to our service department, we reached out twice and had no response from you. Ms [redacted] , we have received a complaint regarding our interaction with you on 8/12/ Thank you for your response to our customer service interaction with you We have fully reviewed the minute phone call you had with our representative During that phone call our representative spent time with you to understand all the benefits you could receive if you enrolled into a federal consolidation programDuring this call, she made it known that our company was a third party private document preparation company, which prepares the documents for the consumer self submission We are not a loan provider, loan service company, nor do we forgive the loans We are very similar to a tax preparer, working on your behalf to identify the programs that provide the best value and then for a fee complete the documentsDuring the phone call our representative asked if you had created your FSA ID to be able to confirm your loan types and balancesIt was revealed that you have not, she asked, with your permission I can walk you through your FSA ID set up and then walked you through that process We have added another step in our process to ensure our potential clients understand we are, with their permission, helping them create their ID if they do not want to do it themselvesSince you did not become a client after our assistance, your private information was purged from the system the only information retained is your name, your email and your phone numberAt this time we have no other information in our system and thank you for making us aware of your interaction with our companyIf you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us [redacted] Compliance
