Review: I have requested that redplum/Valassis discontinue sending junk mail advertising material. I have, over the years, requested this dozens of times, to no avail. I have asked again in the last several months. They have shown that they do not care to honor such a request, even though I have filled out their opt-out form online many times, and certainly, this has continued 4 - 6 weeks after my request. Please be responsible and remedy this.Other I.D. numbers: [redacted]Thank you.Desired Settlement: Please stop sending junk mail as requested.

Review: I have requested removal from the RedPlum mailing list for myself, as well as for the 7 other residents of my building who DO NOT WANT AND ALWAYS THROW AWAY THE TRASH sent to us by RedPlum.RedPlum / Valassis refuses to stop sending the publications and Valassis has informed the post office to give us the publication without a mailing address on it even though we have requested termination of all mail.Desired Settlement: $500 penalty, damages, and annoyance fee, APOLOGY, INSTRUCTIONS TO THE POST OFFICE TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE DELIVERY OF THIS TRASH THAT LITTERS OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!

Review: I have been trying to opt out of receiving the mailed RedPlum for months, perhaps a year or more. I have emailed, telephoned and used the online opt-out process. They repeatedly indicate, as you can see from the responses that you have yourselves received, that it takes 5-6 weeks for the address to be eliminated from the mailing lists. I am getting no results. My online research has affirmed that consumers are NOT successful in halting delivery of this horrid junk mail. Mine is delivered by the Post Office and so removal of my address from the lists should be easy to achieve. My mailbox is a mess when these are delivered. My mail gets lost in the pages that I don't even want. I don't want to have to dispose of this junk. I don't want to carry it to the street - I don't want it!Desired Settlement: I want the publisher to provide me with a date that my address is removed from the mailing lists so that I have that information in writing. I will count down the "waiting period" with glee. Should I continue to receive them in my mailbox, addressed to Postal Customer at my address, I will write back and complain again. They should provide a date prior to this complaint - otherwise that proves that the methods to halt delivery have not worked and they are not receptive to opting out. I want my address off the lists.

Review: I unsubscribed from this company's RedPlum coupon catalog as per their website directions. The catalog continues to be delivered even though several weeks had passed, but no longer has my address label on the deliveries. Their website states that in these cases it was due to local post office error, so I called my post office. My post office informed me that RedPlum continues to send out an off-label mailing address with the catalogs, so that they are delivered even after you technically have unsubscribed from them.in this way, RedPlum can claim they have honored your request, but still continue to send you junk mail. I believe I have the right not to be continually harassed by their junk mail, and would like this business practice to stop.Desired Settlement: I wish no longer to receive mailings from this company, and I further believe that the business practice of faking an unsubscribe option is reprehensible and should be disallowed.

Review: I receive RedPlum advertisements bi-weekly and wanted to opt out. However, Valassis never respected this choice. I have opted out of receiving advertisements using their website several times since moving here six months ago, and I have filed complaints with the FTC after my requests were ignored. I have also opted out using CatalogChoice.org. All of these efforts have had no results.Desired Settlement: Do not deliver RedPlum or Valassis local values papers or advertisements to my address. Remove my address from your databases.

RE: Case #[redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted]

We are in receipt of your letter dated September 10, 2014 relaying a complaint from Ms. [redacted]. We removed Ms. [redacted]’s address of [redacted] from our mailing list on March 7, 2013. Vaiassis is no longer producing any mail for this address. The address will stay deleted for a period of five years. Ms. [redacted] will have to contact us again by March 7, 2018 if she wishes to renew her address removal for an additional five years.

I contacted the delivery supervisor at Ms. [redacted]’s local Post Office and spoke to them about the package still being delivered to her address. The delivery supervisor stated they will speak to the carrier for that address and assured me that the carrier will not place our package in Ms. [redacted]’s mailbox. The Post Office should only deliver to consumers that we have produced an address label for and we are no longer producing one for the address listed above. While Vaiassis is no longer printing a mail piece for this address, Vaiassis does not have control over the Post Office and how they deliver the mail. Mail delivery is solely controlled by the Post Office. Also there are many companies other than Vaiassis that send out advertising circulars and catalogues for which we have no responsibility.

If the consumer has any additional questions they may feel free to contact me Toll-free at ###-###-#### and select option #3. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. eastern time.

Sincerely,

Director, Data Solutions Group

Review: I have repeatedly asked Valassis / Red plum to cease and desist from putting their flyer in my mailbox. Yet I continue to get flyers, this time adressed to 'Resident' and with no address. It is the responsibility of Valassis to make sure their carrier knows which address not to leave their flyers in.Their address on the flyer is:[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop putting any and all of their flyers (RedPlum) in the mailbox of:[redacted]Thank you!

Response:

Review: Valassis ignores repeated requests to cease their direct-mail advertising. Each request is met with the same formulaic "5 to 6 weeks" response. 5 to 6 weeks have more than passed and they continue their weekly harassment.Desired Settlement: Please just stop mailing me. Stop. Please.

Review: This is a continuation of Complaint # [redacted]. RedPlum continues to send me their GIANT advertiser in the mail. It continues to clog my small mailbox. They previously stated that they stopped sending me these mailers back in June, 2015. They also stated they told the local Post Office NOT to deliver these mailers to me. And Yet here I am, eight months later still receiving them. From what I can tell, they simply changed the address they are sending them to. The exact address they are now sending these mailers to is: "[redacted]". I guess they figure by not putting a specific addressee on the mailer, they can get around the law. I will be filing another official complaint against RedPlum/Valassis with the FTC. These sg marketers are trying to be clever and say they have stopped sending these to me when they know full well they are continuing to send me these mailers. If this next round of complaints doesn't work, I will be hiring an attorney on contingency to file a class action civil lawsuit against Valassis to pursue the maximum punitive damages possible.Desired Settlement: Valassis/RedPlum - STOP sending these mailers to [redacted]. STOP trying to find another tricky way to continue sending these mailers to this address using various different resident names or mailing addresses. I have nearly lost important correspondence several times because your mailers overstuff my tiny mailbox. STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!

Review: Valassis keeps mailing me their 'RedPlum' coupons even though I have filled out the form on the RedPlum web site five times this year asking them to stop sending it to me. I am very worried I will miss legitimate mail because their advertising mailer is stuffing my mail box. I am filing this complaint because they won't listen to me. I thought they might listen to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Please get Valassis to stop mailing me their 'RedPlum' coupon mailer.
