Review: About four (4) months ago I applied for a loan with Vanguard Fund LLC to purchase a sponsor unit- coop apartment in [redacted], New York. After approximately four (4) weeks, a Commitment Letter was given to me and an appraisal was also performed. The appraisal took place sometime in September and the loan officer informed me that I a closing date was going to be scheduled during the month of September. After being informed about the possible date of the closing the communication between the loan processor, [redacted] and myself drastically changed. [redacted], the loan processor, was very evasive about the status of my loan not only to me but also to my lawyer. We were in “limbo” for about a month. No documents were requested, no communications were sent even when my lawyer and I were constantly trying to get information about the loan. After we did not get any response from [redacted], I sent letters to [redacted], the [redacted] of the company, and to Vanguard’s [redacted], [redacted] without any response. Finally, I was able to get in touch with [redacted] and he stated that I was not eligible for the loan and he sent me a letter stating so. For the moment of getting the Commitment Letter- to the moment in which I received the not approved letter I spent almost two (2) months without the possibility of either getting out of the deal or finding another bank.Desired Settlement: Right now, I am dealing with a different bank and schedule to close towards the end of November. I understand that I cannot recuperate the time I lost but I want to get the money spend in the appraisal ($450.00), and in the money I spent in the lawyer processing the documents for Vanguard as well ($150.00).

Review: It was agreed that they would send me a refund of $250 but I have never received the check. I have tried calling numerous times for the past two months and now can not even get an answer or a response to the numerous messages that I have left. After [redacted] stopped answering my calls and would not return my calls I tried to work it out with the original person I was working with named [redacted] and then was told that [redacted] had to deal with it and to stop emailing him about it.Desired Settlement: The $250 refund was supposed to be for half of the appraisal fee because the banker [redacted] that I was working with had originally done his math wrong and told me that there would not be a problem and then there ended up being a problem when the math was done right along with my HUD case number not being able to be transferred or some thing like that. So the out come that [redacted] agreed to was to refund half of the $500 appraisal fee because the deal fell through based on issues on their end not because of some thing on my end and then just never sent me the check and stopped answering.
