To whom it may concern,
I have spoken with the finance dept of Viking Magazine in the past and they were aggressive stating I owe over $900. Their aggressive approach make you feel like a criminal after talking with them.
Please help me. I have served my country for four years in the US Army. Please have Viking Magazine cancel my subscription. Thank you.

I am not happy with the results. I did not originally sign up for magazines. I was trying to win a free Ipad. I feel I was tricked. I called Viking several times. Each time I clearly stated I wanted to cancel all subscriptions. I was told it was to late cancel and nothing could be done.
Due to pressure from your company, I paid two payments for magazines I never wanted. Then, I talked to a representative in your company and explained I could not afford the payments. Your representative told me to stop making payments until November. I also requested at that time for the magazines to be stopped. All magazines went straight to the trash. For several months I did not receive any magazines.
In November I received a notice that my account was overdue. I called and your representative said I had put a stop to my payments. I had not. I again asked to cancel. I was very frustrated. Then, a lawyer advised me to stop payments and contact the Revdex.com.
I do not feel your company is customer friendly. You do not treat people fairly. If a person wants to or needs to cancel a subscription it should be their right.
I am requesting once again for you to cancel all subscriptions and and clear my account off amounts owed.

Dear Ms. [redacted],
Viking Magazine Service has received and reviewed the complaint filed by [redacted]. Since receiving the complaint we have contacted Ms. [redacted] in an attempt to amicably resolve this matter and clear up the confusion...

surrounding her order. Specifically, we attempted to explain to Ms. [redacted] that our company does not offer or advertise any Walmart gift card. Furthermore, we deny any wrongdoing as suggested by Ms. [redacted], and regret that we were unsuccessful in achieving a mutually agreeable resolution to this complaint. We thank the Revdex.com for its candid assistance with this complaint. Thank you.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was indeed contacted via a phone call from Viking Magazine, and Viking magazine did deny any verbal agreement their company made and/or the company that feeds into their magazine company made.I did request a refund of my $200.00 or a cancelation of my subscription and a prorated refund for the amount left in the subscriptions if no gift card was going to be issued as stated upon during initial enrollment. All of which was denied by Viking Magazine. I feel very strongly that Viking magazine and the company they use that feeds business into them are using illegal practices to sell their product and I strongly support a formal investigation that needs to be issued into this company, as I was told during this last phone conversation by Viking magazine personally that this is not the fist time a customer was under the understanding a Walmart gift card would be issued. Which again leaves me to believe Viking magazine and the company used to feed into their business are using unethical practices and illegal tactics to sell their products and needs to be investigated.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/12/31) */
Dear Ms. [redacted],
Viking Magazine Service, Inc. (VMS) again denies making any offer or representation to Ms. [redacted] that she would be receiving a Walmart gift card in conjunction with her VMS order. Furthermore, VMS denies using any false or misleading representations in its sales efforts. From VMS' perspective, Ms. [redacted] is confusing VMS' sales offer with that of another unrelated company. In fact, Ms. [redacted]'s complaint speaks to this assumption, as VMS does not use any company to "feed business". Regardless, VMS wishes to conclude this matter so it will grant Ms. [redacted] her desired resolution. Thank you.
