This was a great experience from beginning to end. Love the end result!!

Carpet Installation
After reading so many bad reviews in a row it leads me to believe that enough people dont leave positive reviews anymore.
My experience was easy, fast, and impressive to say the least. Our salesman (Howard) did not try to scam us in anyway and was really very humble to be honest. Our interests and concerns were met by his best intentions and overall we decided to go with Empire. We had a competing quote with Home Depot hat was a bit lower than what empire offered, but the team at empire was not only able to match the quote but give us the best quality carpet to go with it. In regards to the installation... I am equally impressed. I did not catch both names, (I think 1 was Javier). But both of these gentleman were not only quick, but the work looks amazing, and they left the place cleaner than it was when they came in. When I say quick , I mean they did 3 rooms or padding, carpet, and tacking with doorway tack in like 2 hours. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I was pleased with having a representative come to my home. It is overwhelming to go to a store. Really liked my representative. Very professional company. Excellent installer and I am pleased with the carpet. I would recommend Empire but would tell friend to ask questions about the availability of installers in their area. I was in no hurry. If in a hurry, be sure they will be able to meet your timeline. I believe I saved enough money to wait for Empire. I had a wonderful lady in Customer Service who assisted me as needed. I would give them a 10 except for the delay in my installation in Chattanooga.

Empire is bogus. The half price sale advertised on the television commercial is a farce. The salesman that came to my home talked a good game but the installers were unwilling to deliver the goods as promised. I was suppose to have laminate floors put in my dining room and living room today. However, the installers that were sent were rude and unprofessional. They called their manager upon arrival and told him that they were asked to move furniture prior to installation. That was a boldfaced lie. My husband and I moved the furniture from the dinning room to the living room last night and told the installers we would move the furniture from the living room to the dining room when they were ready. The manager had the audacity to tell me to hire a trailer to place my furniture in until the installation was complete. This is not the contractual agreement made with the salesman. They refused to do the job and left my home.
Empire tactics can be described as high way robbery. How in the world do you charge an astronomical amount for laminate flooring with half off and still charge roughly $3200 to senior citizens living on a fixed income?
I talked with my son and daughter and was promptly advised to cancel the contract and get my money back. The customer service needs to be re-trained on how to handle customer complaints. Luckily for them, I will receive my money back after demanding it repeatedly since the customer service rep was trying to convince me otherwise. My floors will be done by a reliably bonded contractor that quoted a price for hardwood flooring (not laminate) well below the Empire's $3200. Incidentally, he will take care of moving the furniture as well.

The entire process from setting up an appointment, meeting with our salesman and flooring installation was stress free and super easy. I got two estimates on the flooring I wanted and Empire beat them both. Our salesman Andrew was very helpful in picking out our flooring and I did not feel pressured to commit to the sale. The installation team was respectful and they did a great job. They moved the furniture, installed the flooring, cleaned up and put all the furniture back in place. This is the second time we have used Empire. No more shopping around for flooring- Empire can't be beat.

I am very disappointed in the service I recently received from the sales professionals at Empire Today. I have used them in the past and was very pleased but am surprised at the lack of response I have received while trying to give them more work. I have set up two appointments to have someone come out and no one shows or calls. We call the call center and are told they are not sure why the sales person is not coming out. I have been told that a sales manager will call me and work with me but they don't call either. I work for a large company where service is Key and in no way would treat a customer this way. I find it extremely frustrating that I have no none else to contact.

I had hardwood engineered floors installed less than a year ago by Empire Today. I will never use that company again and will urge anyone that is in the market for new floors to not even consider them. I was told the floors I selected have a 25 year warranty against fading and within months of having them installed, they fadedand stared to discolor. I was also told that the new Empire floors would withstand anything my previous floors would, and more. This is not the case. If I drop a fork on my floors, they chip and scratch. They will not stand by their product and accused me of not using the correct cleaner, and that I allow too much sunlight in my home. I posted a complaint on their [redacted] page and they said they will do whatever they can to fix the situation. They hired a company to inspect the floors and it was determined that it wasn't an installation issue (I never said it was) nor is it a manufacturer issue. Instead, they say it's an on site issue due to soil in the grain, therefore causing discoloration. But wouldn't that be a manufacturer issue? There's a 25 year warranty on the product. Is that if you don't walk on it and get it dirty? IT'S A FLOOR!!! I hate these floors and am miserable every time I enter my home. They look terrible. Here I thought I was getting a value by taking advantage of their 50/50 sale. It's not a value if I just wasted my money to get floors I hate. I'm embarrassed and extremely disappointed. It's disgusting how they can get away with this.

I purchased flooring and window shades from Empire last week. I am very satisfied with the whole experience. The salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful and answered all my questions. The installers did a wonderful job of installing my flooring. The shades are ordered but not in yet but I expect the same experience with them.

I had a sales rep from EmpireToday at my home on August 18th, 2016 , because I want to replace my carpet with hardwood flooring. I was satisfied with the color I choose. After a couple of days I reached out to her to see if there were more samples in addition to the one's she had with her. I emailed her asking if there more selections and she never responded. I called her a couple of days later and she said she was really busy, but would email the pictures and would schedule time to come out if I wanted to see them in person and make a change. I never got anything from her and didn't hear from her. I called her again and left a message. I have yet to hear from her. I called customer service and have gotten nothing but the run around from her and customer service. One customer service rep told me she would submit a ticket to the district sales manager and I should receive a call within 24 business hours. I haven't heard from that person either. I'm very dissatisfied with how I've been treated. This is not what I expected. I missed the deadline to cancel, otherwise I would!! I'm just hoping the installation scheduled for September 16th will be flawless. I used EmpireToday when I got my carpet installed, but I will never use EmpireToday again!! I intend to get the whole house re-done with hardwood, but Empire will not get the business. Empire also advertised a $200 credit for scheduling the appointment online, which I did. When I asked the sales rep about it she gave me a line, which made no sense, since this is what they advertised.

Been trying for a month to get vinyl installed went as far as doing the tear out myself and still can't get my floor. Lost my job due to their scheduling and still no floor. Not sure how they have an A rating with the Revdex.com they must have paid someone

This was a great experience from start to finish. Got the carpet we wanted installed on the date we wanted. No hassles whatsoever and the job turned out beautifully.

We were extremely satisfied with Empire Today regarding the purchase of a carpet and the installation.

Empire Today just refloored three rooms in our home. We are very satisfied with the entire experience. The floors are beautiful and the installers were fantastic. Thank you for our new rooms.

I had been skeptical of the "too good to be true" idea but after having two friends recommend Empire, we decided to give them a try. We did visit various rug sales showrooms, home improvement stores and the companybwe bouhht our first carpets from. Then we met the Empire sales rep..she brought various quality level samples, explained differenced, priced each out. It was easy, no pressure sales visit. Installer were on time, accurate, neat and cleaned up everything when done. Will definitely be using them again next year for remainder of house!

Empire works good to get your job and get your carpet installed the next day. But when it comes down to customer service they failed terribly. Then they try to strike them self an excellent customer service. I had carpet installed in 2008 the carpet is coming apart so called them about the warranty. Trying to explain this over the phone to the customer service rep was ridiculous she did not understand what I was trying to say. She was taking it as an installer error, so to just get somebody out here to look at the carpet I was told I would have to pay $80.00 but if the carpet was warranty and get back $80.00, so I set up an appointment to have an installer to come and look at the carpet this soon as they could get out here was over two weeks so the appointment was set for December 5, 2016 which was a NO CALL NO SHOW. I had a message from Craig at extension [redacted] to call him about the installers coming out which I did and left several messages with him with no return phone call. So I called back and talk to a service rep named Stephanie that was at the same office as Craig she told me he was on the phone so she slipped in me note him he needed to reschedule my appointment for December 6, 2016 because the installers were broke down. My question to Stephanie was how can you be out here the next day when I had to wait two weeks already? She said Sir I'm just telling you what Craig said. I said I was not happy about the NO CALL NO SHOW and I should not have to pay the $80.00 Stephanie told me not to worry about $80.00 so the next day when installers arrive we look at the carpet and told me could not be repaired they would be turning and under warranty work and took measurements. And told me the needed to collect the $80.00 so they went outside and made a phone call came back in and said Stephanie had no business tell me not to worry about $80 and that they need to collect I asked them for the name and number of the person they talk to and was told they could not give me the information. I told them I would be calling Empire. I have left several messages with Tara [redacted] about at extension [redacted] with no return phone calls. I have also talked to a supervisor named Joe he told me he would expedite my call up to higher management and it would hear something within 24 hours. Well those 24 hours has come gone with no return phone calls from anybody from Empire. I asked several times for them to change my phone number in the system in they can't even handle that (Stephanie and Joe) plus other representatives. The representatives have gave me an extension to the local office of [redacted] which is nothing nobody never answers that extension I doesn't say anything. I've made several phone calls to Empire with not a one return phone call and they talk about excellent customer service this is the poorest service I received in a very long time. So once again I'm waiting for higher management to call me back which I doubt that will even. I was told I would hear something in three or four days now they're telling me it will take 3 to 4 weeks. Sure would be nice to have someone return a phone call!!!

We had a pretty crummy experience with empire. Sales rep was nice though obviously trying to push particular products and higher prices. Carpet installers did an okay job (though there are some nails we've discovered in bare feet and had to hammer down ourselves.

Tile installers were the worst. Left the bathroom a mess. Dumped dust, wood, and paint chips in the bathtub. Ruined the baseboards (including 1 section now completely missing!) After over a month of trying to get someone to come fix it (install was 10/17) we agree on Monday 11/21. On that day, a team showed up "just to look." We scheduled again for the next Monday and receive a call just trying to get more information.

Turns out they can't come Monday. How's Thursday? Okay next Monday. No estimate on time. They are very busy.

I guess there is no time to come fix work that was supposed to be done already when there are new customers whose money isn't already in their pockets.

Finally I am told that the black trim they destroyed will have to be replaced with white trim. Not a great solution for the pink and black tiled bathroom.
When I push back I am told I can paint it myself.

Empire representative tells me "To the best of my knowledge, we aren't painters" - guess what pal, neither am I - also I have the added bonus of not being the one who messed up the baseboards in the first place and the one who already paid for the work. Why should I have to fix it?

When I push back about again I am told that I can buy the materials myself, hire someone to paint it, and then Empire will come install it and they will reimburse me for my time, the materials, and the cost of painting. I ask for an email saying that so that I have it in writing. That was yesterday. No email yet.

I guess I will call again.

Combined calls from me and my wife to Empire are now in the double digits.
Work was done 10/17. It is now 11/30.

6 Weeks. Problems still ongoing.

Update - new rep - same problems - fewer solutions.

Now it's, find a contractor to do the work and we'll reimburse you. Most recent appointment cancelled because they can't come up with black trim on their own - apparently I have to do it. Also, no...they won't reimburse me for my time. Apparently the guy that offered that is no longer with the company and they wont stand by what he told me.

How long will this saga last?!

I had engineered hardwood/acacia installed in my dining room, foyer and kitchen in July 2016. Although the final appearance is nice, I am unsure of the quality of the flooring. There is no company name on the product. I was happy with the customer service. After I received a price by the salesman, which was quite high, I had contacted customer service and they changed the pricing more to my liking. I would have liked to know what the product cost per square foot, but they couldn't provide that information. Installation was done the day that I was told. The installers were from New Jersey (I live in Northeastern PA), and they arrived at 7 am, which was earlier than scheduled, but that was fine with me. The only problem, they had to wait 2 hours before they were able to contact their office with some questions. The installation was complete in a few hours. One minor complaint I have was that there were glue smudges on the floor. They had a product that they used to remove them, but in the right light a lot of the smudges can still be seen. After a month, it seems that the glue smudges are diminishing, probably after I had wiped down the floor a few times. The BIGGEST complaint I have....they used a tool to cut door moldings so the flooring can slide underneath. Either the blade wasn't the right size, or dull, because they totally ruined most of my door moldings, so much so that I had to replace six pieces. Others I was able to sand and restain so the damage wasn't as noticeable. No, I didn't say anything to the installers, and No I didn't call Empire Today. I fixed the issue myself, and didn't want them to have to come back and not do a perfect job on replacing the moldings. I didn't call and report the damage, because I felt they wouldn't give me any sort of credit on my order, since they claimed they had given me the best possible price. I won't deal with Empire Today again, I would rather deal with a local company. Thank you

I've used empire carpet in Illinois, Indiana, and 3 homes in New Jersey, all with a positive experience! Moved to vegas, where we had 2 laminate floors installed. Within the first 90 days, the floor was chipping, but we called and got the run around. We called a year later when the transition piece was chipping, AGAIN the run around! FINALY after only 3 years, the floors were completely destroyed, and I had all the time in the world to sit on the phone to try and resolve this. I paid 2400.00 and they said d they'd send someone out and repair the floor for an additional 1100.00 RIDICULOUS! I wouldn't give this company a penny! After spending 15 k and never a complaint, you think they'd want to keep a customer happy... Never again

My experience with Empire Today was a very satisfying experience. The professional sales met all my needs with clear documentation. The appointment setting and company follow-up so that I was informed and to ensure a correct installation. The installation team was very professional and they provided an on-time quality installation that we are extremely pleased with.

I wish I had checked reviews further before going with Empire for my flooring purchase. I am beyond frustrated and angry with this company and the level of follow through and service regarding the carpet installation portion of my contract.

Things started off very well. The Salesman worked with me to find the laminate and carpet products that would work for my home and fit my budget. The laminate installer followed though calling to confirm the job and letting me know what time he would arrive. 3 installers were a great team working hard and the instalation went off without a hitch on time and as promised.

The carpet install is a whole different story! Due to the incompetency and poor communication between the appointment center (call center) and the carpet installers I am still waiting for someone to show up to install the carpet. I have had not 1...not 2 but 4 failed installation reschedules due to Empires error.

I have already taken 2 and 1/2 days off work to try and accommodate an install to end up waiting all day until that magic 6p install window closes to call back and complain that I still do not have carpet and get yet another excuse for cancelation. I called their customer service office several times always getting another excuse for why they didn't or couldn't show. From installers being over booked, jobs from the day before going over, or the installers truck breaking down and even an installer showing up in the morning when the appointment was specifically scheduled for the evening and even the excuse that they couldn't get a hold of their installers.

Two weeks and 4 failed install appointments later, I am taking my business elsewhere and wanted to make sure anyone else looking for carpet reads this before they choose to go with Empire. Other reviews for this company seem to follow a theme of great salesman but lousy carpet installer stories and broken promises. I'm hoping no one else has to go through the mess I've been dealing with.
