The claim was reported to Alliance United Insurance Company on February 26, 2018 by A[redacted] who works at a repair facility.  She reported two vehicles being involved, our insured’s 2016 Nissan Rogue and a 2002 Ford Focus, both of which were at the shop at the time.  We secured our...

insured’s statement on February 26, 2018 and cleared the coverage portion of the claim.  We then received a call on February 26, 2018 from H[redacted]’s daughter, [redacted], wherein she was informed us that her father, H[redacted], was involved in the accident.  She told us that H[redacted] needs a rental car.  [redacted] was told that we just received the claim that day and an investigation was needed.  [redacted] was advised to have H[redacted] file a claim with his insurance carrier as the investigation would take time.  We spoke with [redacted] again on February 27, 2018 and obtained H[redacted]’s information.  We spoke with H[redacted] on February 28, 2018 and he was advised that the investigation is ongoing as we need statements from him and the driver of the Ford Focus.  H[redacted] did not want to provide a statement at that time as he just wanted a rental car.  He was informed to file a claim with his insurance carrier as our liability investigation is pending and we have to determine if there is enough coverage for both his vehicle and the Ford Focus.  Additionally, a mitigation letter was mailed to H[redacted].  H[redacted] was never told that we are not responsible for this loss as the liability investigation is still ongoing.  We obtained a copy of the police report, however, the officer did not witness the accident, therefore, the police report is a portion of the liability investigation.  Our insured’s statement is another portion of our investigation as well as the statements from any other drivers.  H[redacted] and his daughter, [redacted], have been fully aware and updated on our claim to date.  They have also been given direction for moving forward. this response because: I have not received any payment for damages to my car. I DID receive a letter, dated 10/26/16 that said they mailed a check. I have not received this check and wish to keep open this complaint until I receive the payment and my car is fixed.

The Company was not provided your contact information by our insured.
We ran a locate and found your information and spoke to you directly on September 1, 2016.
We obtained your statement, explained the claims process and set up an inspection of your vehicle.

The Company regrets any difficulty you may have experienced trying to reach our adjuster. Both partys to the collision claim to have had a green light. In a word versus word situation a carrier might simply side with their insured and deny liability.

Our insured had a valid policy in force on the date of the loss and liability is not disputed.
 
The loss related Property Damage total may exceed our insured’s Property Damage limit.
 
As such, the Company is currently collecting and confirming all Property Damage estimates as directly related to the above referenced loss.
 
Once all of the loss related Property Damages can be confirmed the Company will know if the total of all Property Damage exceeds our insured’s Property Damage policy limit.
 
If the total loss related Property Damages exceed our insured’s Property Damage limit the Company will extend apportioned, or pro rata, offers to settle each party’s damages.
 
If each party agrees to the settlement offers the Company will mail out Property Damage releases to each party.
 
Once each of Property Damage releases are signed and returned to us the Company will be able to process Property Damage payments in the agreed amounts to each party.

Our adjuster or his supervisor will contact you today.

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with your client and he stated he  is having the same issues I'm having trying to reach the adjuster.  He left voicemails and has not received a response. Based on the previous complaints on Revdex.com from other individuals  there seems to be the same issue. How is this going to get resolved when the adjuster does not answer the phone calls or return calls?  This is extremely unprofessional and the worst service!

Please return our two (2) calls to you if you seek the most current information available on your claim. We have already made you aware we have a coverage problem, we are not in a position to consider your claim at this time.

On June 22, 2017 your broker submitted a request to change your address from San Luis Obispo to Anaheim.  This change caused an increase in premium of $373.26 for the remainder of the term. Prior to the change of address there was a past due amount of $99.32 owed on the policy.  The broker...

submitted the past due amount of $99.32 on June 24, 2017.  An amended declaration was mailed to you showing the change of address along with a revised schedule of payments.  The next installment in the amount of $192.63 was due by July 12, 2017.  The payment was not received and the policy cancelled due to non-payment of premium effective July 27, 2017.  On August 23, 2017 our office received a request to cancel the policy effective June 23, 2017.  Please note, the request to cancel the policy was received after your policy had cancelled for non-payment of premium.  Per our Underwriting Guidelines, we will backdate a cancellation if you provide proof of duplicate coverage through another company.  If the vehicle we provided coverage for on our policy was sold we require a copy of the Release of Liability form filed with the DMV.  Our office received a Certificate of Insurance showing coverage for a 2017 Chevy.  We provided coverage on our policy for a 2000 Ford Ranger.  Your policy remains cancelled effective July 27, 2017 due to non-payment of premium.  The policy shows an outstanding balance due of $79.91 for earned premium.

Thank you for contacting us, however in order to address your concerns we are in need of additional information.  Please provide a claim number so that we may review your claim file.
