Aaron did a great job and was very friendly and professional No mess was left for me to clean up I have used, and will use 20/Air for all future HVAC/Plumbing services in my home

Great companythe tech was knowlegable, honest, courteous and friendly

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: as I have stated before we were offered options. It was our belief that if we chose to do certain things and techs agreed that performing the work would fix the issues. We chose to replace the capacitor, clean the condenser,do the a/c clean and check and fill the refrigerant. If they knew this wouldn't work why did they do the job?As I have said before I am willing to pay for some work performed in good faith,I believe we were taken advantage of on a warm day. To use their example,an ethical mechanic would not replace just one flat tire knowing full well and good the car is not going to work while still having two more flats.Knowing what I know now no work should have been done
Sincerely,

Sean B*** is a fine teacher, to his customers and his coworkers He explains everything about the system and shows what is needed and what needs correctionHe could not have been more helpful?

The system is running in an illegal state and dangerous. We could not touch the existing system as there are numerous violations. Our license would be at risk as well as the welfare of our technician. We did not install the system. The charge that the customer paid was a trip
charge to come to the home and assess the issues. We documented all issues on service ticket but could not do a combustion test as it would be dangerous to do in the present state of installation. The system is presently dumping excess oil on to the lawn

My annual Spring Service with 20/Air was perfect The service representative was thorough and courteousAnd he took the time to fully explain everything he was doing

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The company's response contains a few pieces of misinformation that I want to correct. The system is not installed illegally! It may not be installed up to manufacturer's recommendations, but that does not make it illegal. Also the boiler does not dump anything on the lawn (nor outside, for the matter). All the condensing water is collected next to the boiler into a bucket. When the technician arrived, the boiler was functional (it is installed in the basement), and there were no traces of dangerous fumes/gases in the area (combustion gases resulted from burning oil#2 are different that those of natural gas or LP, and can be smelled easily), so the statement that the technician would be at risk is false. My assessment is that the technician does not have the knowledge to work on this equipment and he wanted to leave as soon as possible. Not only that he didn't want to perform any tests on the boiler, but he also refused to provide me a quote for bringing the boiler up to code. I asked him to tell me how much will it be to fix all the issues with the boiler, and he said he cannot touch it. Instead he recommended me to talk to one of their consultants for replacing the entire unit. My unit is a 2010 state of the art condensing oil boiler!!!In the end he did offer another advice: to use kerosene instead of oil#2.Since I paid almost $140 for his advice, I intend to follow it. Hopefully the boiler will work better. However, in case the boiler develops other problems due to using kerosene instead of oil#2, I intend to ask the company to honor their liability and reimburse me for the damage. (Currently, the boiler is labeled for oil#2 use).I hope 20/20 Air finds this to be acceptable.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting the "should have cost".  WE QUOTED YOU UPFRONT, you could have declined the work as you did decline many of our recomendations that day.
There is NOT an industry price book. Our prices are fair for the service, knowledge and customer service we deliver.
All companies charge what is necessary for them to run a business and stay in business under their standards and overhead.
Again, I find it insulting but understand that not everyone will see quality but you as a consumer were
1. Happy with your service.
2. Happy with the technician.
3. Happy with the resullts.
4.  Happy that we answer our phones.
5.  Happy that we scheduled your call for the next day.
BUT after all is done you feel that it is ok to slander our company based on price. If our services are not worth the quality that you have paid please use another company in the future so that we can continue to offer our high standards to all those looking for high quality.
Some people choose to shop at less quality retailers and others choose higher quality retailers. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
Thank you for your business.
Please stop SLANDERING our company based on your opinion of our prices. You are NOT comparing apples to apples.

Sean Bradley, service technician, was all that I look for in a service technician: He is polite, considerate, knowledgeable, and skillful.

I had been a client of 20/20 Air until August 2014. I cancelled my service over the phone because at each bi-annual service call I felt that I was being overcharged. However, I just found out that I have been billed monthly since I cancelled because I did not send in a written statement that I wanted my service cancelled. Supposedly the statement is written above my required signature. I feel that such billing practices are terribly wrong especially since I never heard from the company once I cancelled my service. even I have had nothing to do with 20/20 Air since I felt my service was cancelled yet the deduction from my credit card continued. Perhaps, "ripping clients off" is a trademark of their business - this should be stopped

The service technician, Sean B[redacted] , arrived at our home on time at 9:30am. He identified himself as a technician from 20/20 Air Mechanical Corporation.
Sean was able to diagnose the problem with our boiler relatively quickly. After determining that the Boiler Control Logamatic had to be replaced, he left to pick up the unit himself and promptly returned to complete the installation. By 3;30pm our furnace was working again!
Overall we were satisfied with the service provided.
Thank you Sean! [redacted]

Sean B. was my Service Technician. He is extremely knowledgeable, capable and efficient. He did an excellent job on the annual service for my central air conditioning system. He arrived on time and fully answered the questions I had. I give him a top rating for the service call.

[redacted] installed her system on 6/30/2012, she had maintenance done on 5/7/2013, on 7/9/2014 she called in saying that the unit was not cooling enough.  We offered her an apt on 7.16 as that was the first available we had for non-maintenance customers.  At this time she began to screem...

and yell at our customer service reps.  We did tell her we would add her to our cancellation list if she would like.  We called her the next day as we did have a cancellation and moved her up to 7/10/2014.  We arrived at her home to find out that she needed to have the blower assembly cleaned.  We collected a deposit and scheduled a return call for Monday the 14th as it was an involved process that we could not do that day.  WE NEVER took the unit from the home nor would be have to.
While the tech was at her home she was incredibly rude to him, screemed at our office staff and called the salesman a liar.  I then decided that this was not a customer that we wanted to service.  I will not accept any customer berating my employees and treating them poorly.  They were all doing a wonderful job attempting to keep her happy.  We did install this unit and it was not a mechanical issue but a maintenance issue.  The motor needed to be cleaned due to grease and dirt build up.
Her system was underwarrenty but her labor was not therefore I suggested that since she was so unhappy with us that she should have another company service her.  I also cancelled her apt for Monday and did not collect any monies from her.
Later that evening her son called on behalf of her an appilogized for how rude his mother was and then proceeded to tell me that we were too expensive and did not understand why this needed to be done.  At that time I said once again you and your family do not seem to approve of our services or priceing and I think you should find someone else.  At that time he threatened legal actions.  I thanked him for his call and asked him to call another provider.
This is a customer who did not want to pay for services at all and wanted it to be ok to treat others terribly.  We will not be serviceing this customer
20/20 Air

The prices are always shown up front.  If your tire was going to cost $650 you would have the time to make the decision as you did here.  Our prices are out of a flat rate book.  There was no scam.  You signed off on all work prior to it being done.  If our tech was more efficient then that is wonderful but it was not a scam or something that we breakdown our prices for.  Our customer service manager contact you and spoke to you.  Thank you

Absolutely not we stand by our technicians and if the system is not installed to code I will not go with another company's recommendation as I do not know their training.

Come-on rate for furnace maintenance (109.99) did not include basic nozzle cleaning or replacement. This brought the price for the service over a hundred dollars more than I've ever paid before. Technicians were cordial but their options were already set. The price to change the nozzle, a 9 dollar part, was an additional 158.00. The price to cement in the chimney pipe better (which was always part of the maintenance in the past) was an ADDITIONAL 217.00. I declined. What a ripoff.

This customer called in due to AC system not working.  Our technician diagnosed the problem and asked customer for approval to do work with UPFRONT pricing.  Customer always has an option to complete the work or just pay the diagnostic charge that was quoted when the apt. was made. ...

This customer chose to complete the work with the approved pricing from our flat rate book.   Our prices do not change if a tech is on the job longer, has a problem on the job or is done faster.  This promotes positive work ethic and allows the tech not to be pressured.  This customers work was completed and the service ticket was once again signed off saying that the work was not only complete but satisfactory.  Customer called in 3 days later to complain about pricing but also stated that his unit was now working great.  Our prices are our prices and do not change day to day.  We presented the prices and the customer could have declined the work.

I am rejecting this response because:
The businesses response to my complaint is not truthful.  They responded that "We offered to quote him a price to replace the entire system at that time but he was adamant that he only wanted to repair due to the cost."  This is not true.  At no point did they offer a price to replace the entire system last year when I contacted them for a second opinion.  In fact, they represented that the leak was local to the attic coil, and recommended against replacing the entire system because they were able to find the leak in the coil.  I would ask that they prove that they offered to quote a price to replace the system.
They also represented that I screamed at the tech to fix it for free.  This is not true.  I calmly explained to the tech, as I did to Jessica, that I felt that they incorrectly diagnosed the problem, and that I expected them to resolve the problem.  My suggestion was for me to pay an additional $2,000 for them to replace the parts of the system that were not replaced last year.  At no point did I suggest that I get anything for free.
They also did not present me with options.  They provided me with prices for various expensive tests to find the new leak.  I am not attempting to get anything for free.  I simply want to be put in the position I was last year when 2020 recommended that I not replace the entire system; i.e., I am willing to pay the difference between what a new system costs and what I paid them last year.  Alternatively, they can refund me the $4,000 I paid last year, when they negligently misdiagnosed the problem.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Frank D[redacted] serviced my air conditioning unit today, July 14, 2016. I was very pleased to say that he was prompt, polite, efficient, respectful and capable. He was clean and tidy in his work area and took the precaution of using blue booties. He made appropriate suggestions as to what might be necessary in the future and did not press. I believe he is worthy of a 5 star review and would be delighted to have him return as a service representative.

On time, accessed problem, fixed problem in a timely professional manner.
