Review: They came to my house in August and said I need a motor for air/heating. It had to be ordered which is fine. They installed it and then had to come back 3 times after because they didn't do the job right. I paid them $614. They have been servicing my air and heat every 6 months. Last weekend my tenant called the heat was not working. It was over the weekend and they said the censor was not working. They put in another sensor it was $601. Also, the beginning of the year I paid them $2000. to put in these they said I needed. I have a contract but that doesn't cover any work. The owner said I was lucky to have money so I could pay it. I think this is an unethical company.Desired Settlement: I don't think they should have charged me $189. for a service visit it was on a Saturday and they don't guarantee anything they put in.

This customer has misrepresented our conpany and our services, Mrs [redacted] has a rental property that we have been servicing with her written and verbal consent. She has asked that we call her at all times before servicing and always to get approval on work.
9/4- no AC at tenant home : we found a bad motor and assembly, part was approved and ordered with a deposit of Mrs credit card
9/27 tenants scheduled for us to come back and install motor.
10/8- No heat call, we went out to the home immediatly for no charge and it turned out that the wet switch tripped, which was a safety and it performed as it should have. We replaced the dirty filter ran and tested (all no charge)
10/26: no heat, went out no charge due to a wiring issue all set
1/4/2014: tenants called no heat. (sunday after hours) called landlord and she approved us to do a call for an afterhours charge of $189. pre approved for a sunday call
We found the heating unit to need an ignitor. She was in a meeting and had told us upon arrival to do whatever it takes to get them heat. We installed ignitor. Mrs [redacted] called back after her meeting and said she was not paying for anything that the office would have to call her monday morning.
1/6/2014 I (owner) call Mrs and discussed our services. She understood the afterhours charge that she approved and said she would pay for the ignitor after I emailed her the bill. We went through each of the calls and I explained each of them to her. She said she understood and then started screaming at me becasue we called her in Europe for approval and was mad that we interupted her vacation. I explained that you asked us to. She then was screaming that it should not have broken of which I explained it was a mechanical piece of equipment. All the items replaced were parts that do have wear and tear.
We have definetly stood behind our work and not charged when we questioned the problem. We even installed a filter free of charge and did not charge for that call that was not related to us.
We have gone above and beyond to work with this landlord to make sure that her income producing propery is happy. We have had nothing but rave reviews from the tenant.
They are a rip of
! Charged $848 for a boiler cleaning and service. Every other company I contacted is between $180 and $250 for the same exact service beware of there $99 special that's how they get there foot in the door
Review: I had 20/20 air in my home to a
s a leaking problem with my furnace. The technician was very nice and I took his word on the price and work that needed to be done. We needed a new condensate pump and the drain to be snaked. After he left I couldn't help but feel that the price seemed a little high. I began to call other companies to get a ball park figure. The price I paid was three times the estimated costs of the companies I spoke to over the phone. Granted it may have run more when those companies came to my home but there seems to be a big problem when the labors and services that were listed as performed on my receipt cost me $850 plus tax, when three separate companies quoted me $300 to $400. I spoke with [redacted] at the company. She said these are flat fees they charge and said the difference in price could be because of the caliber technicians they hire. I do agree the technician was very nice but I don't see how that explains a $600 difference. I feel like I was taken advantage of and didn't want to say no to the technician who spent 30 minutes in my home assessing the problem. In the future I will not make the same mistake and hopefully some people will have a head up to do the same with this company.Desired Settlement: I do not expect a complete refund, time was spent, equipment was installed, a partial refund I do believe is warranted. I just don't see how there could be such a huge discrepancy. If nothing results from this action I would please like my experience listed on their Revdex.com report so other consumers are aware to quote out prices before using this company.

Response:
All prices are given up front prior to work being performed. The customer is always free to decline, price and quality shop and have us back at a later date if they choose. This customer chose to have the work performed at that time and signed before work was done agreeing to the price as well as signed after the work was complete that they were satisfied. Our company's prices reflect our level of customer service, ability to respond effectively and in a timely manner to our customers. Our staff is continually trained and is offered full benefits. We are only prepared as a company to put the best staff in our offices and on the road to service our customer. Our prices are our prices and we are very confident that they reflect the quality that each customer receives.
Chris O. and William arrived today for maintenance to our furnaces and to help resolve our immediate problem of no heat downstairs. They arrived precisely on time, were friendly, professional and respectful to my house full of little kids and a dog. They solved the problem at hand and worked efficiently to resolve it. As Chris performed the maintenance and installation, Will explained the units and their functions/needs in terms that resonated with me and helped me feel more empowered about understanding how my heating system operates. He showed me how to change the air filters on my own. And I was able to ask lots of other questions about my hot water heater and water filtering--they were SO helpful, generous with their time, and I genuinely feel happier and safer in my own home after the service they provided today. We are committed to 20/20 now for heating and cooling. I highly recommend them!
I had been a client of 20/20 Air until August 2014. I cancelled my service over the phone because at each bi-annual service call I felt that I was being overcharged. However, I just found out that I have been billed monthly since I cancelled because I did not send in a written statement that I wanted my service cancelled. Supposedly the statement is written above my required signature. I feel that such billing practices are terribly wrong especially since I never heard from the company once I cancelled my service. even I have had nothing to do with 20/20 Air since I felt my service was cancelled yet the deduction from my credit card continued. Perhaps, "ripping clients off" is a trademark of their business - this should be stopped
Aaron K was super helpful and explained exactly what needed to be fixed and why. I have used 20/20 Air for nearly 9 years and always have a good experience with their techs. While they typically recommend multiple fixes (both urgent and less), there is never pressure to go for the expensive fixes if they aren't necessary, and Aaron in particular was very honest about that.
Review: Was referred to 20/20 AIR to check my 2 yr old full AC system. We were experiencing a low flow of air in one room, and was told by the installers ([redacted] AC--excellent installers) that this might require at any point a minor adjustment. [redacted] no longer services units; they sold their service list to 20/20 AIR.I called on June 5th requesting a service call and the price of the call. I was told that the fee was $69, and any additional repairs or parts would be charged accordingly. The serviceman came on June 6th, determined that an adjustment of the air vents in 2 rooms would solve the problem. It took about 45 min.; no parts, no repairs. He then presented my son with a bill for $406.26!!!! When I called the company to find out why the bill was so high for basically a minor repair, I was told they are a flat rate company and they cahrge this to make a profit!! They pushed a service contract which we declined, but they overcharge significantly. I am not satidfied with them or their response.Desired Settlement: adjustment of the bill to appropriately reflect the actual work. This company's charges are out of bounds for the work done, and they are not forthcoming about what the cahrges will be.

Response:
Dear Revdex.com,
All of our prices are presented prior to the work being completed. In this case the son approved the work and signed the invoice prior to any work being completed.
We inform all customers that they must be home at the time of repair or have someone available to make decisions or we can not perfom the work. We are a flat rate company so all customers pay the same amount for the same task.
Our process was followed and the work was approved.
Sincerly,
2020 air

Every business charges different prices. We had your approval for the work with signatures prior to ANY work being performed. You had a choice to not complete the work.
Thank you

I am rejecting this response because their response was to say that ;they were business to make a profit; their adjustment by ;the way did not work so I basically wasted money for nothing---and I think that [redacted] air conditioning should be made aware of how their customers are treated once they install a system and maintenance is turned over to Air Net. Air Net advertises all the time on billboards--they definitely take advantage of customers, do shoddy work and over charge. As I mentioned in a previous email Petro heating ac is advertising $ 149 for a system tune up including filters, etc.---what did I get for the $400 I was charged except attitude? A job poorly done and not even done right.
Sincerely,
Review: I called company to perform annual check on A/C units. After spending a few minutes in the house, he went back to his van where he stayed for about half hour -allegedly solving a previous day issue. when he came back he showed me a photo on his cell phone about what he said was mold in the coil. He said that was a serious problem which he had seen a lot this year. I was obviously concerned and agreed to his fixing the problem. He said it costs $716. Concerned about our health and Not knowing what the repair implied I agreed. To my surprise, he went to the basement carrying a spray bottle and returned in less than ten minutes. He didn't show me photos of what the unit looked like after he "fixed" it, so it may still look the same. I felt the charge was outrageous but felt compelled to sign and pay. Later, my husband put a stop payment and I wrote 20/20 to discuss and reach an agreement on a fair charge, but they insisted on the charges. I feel I was the victim of a scam, with use of scare tactics, and charges that don't correlate with time or materials.

Adjusted charges. Justification for charges with proof that work was performed.

Customer discussed services with our technician and signed the ticket agreing to 2 maintenances at a discounted rate and an evap coil cleaning to be performed. The technician then went to the unit and performed work. The tech was at the home for over 2 hours (GPS in trucks). The customer did not call us to complain or discuss anything until after we contacted them regarding the stop payment on the check. They signed off on all work completed

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)
Company's response is not accurate, it does not reflect the evnts as they really happen. This is another sign of their ill will and dishonest practices. After the service, I immediately mailed a complaint letter explaining the situation in detail, but they only contacted me a few weeks later. When I returned the call after a Couple of days, manager was on vacation.

1. We serviced this home on 6/19/13, Mrs was home for the visit and signed for all work performed and prices before work was completed and again after
2. We did a "happy call" to make sure they were happy with our services on 6/21/13. There was no answer so we left a message and mailed a postcard with a survey. (this is our process)
3. We did not recieve a letter of issue until 7/1/13. At this time the check for ALL work had a stop payment on it. The services had been completed, thier systems were running and all was signed as satisfactory.
We also want to speak to our customers but feel that this was not done honestly as we did call them and also made additional attempts to call.
It was our pleasure to have Chris O[redacted] as our service technician today. He began by introducing himself properly, he immediately put on the paper slip ons he brought and got to work. He not only checked our entire system, but found that our dryer vent had come loose. He fixed it as well.
It is obvious that this young man knows what he is doing and enjoys his work. He spoke with us about how to save electricity and checked our thermostat to see if we were doing well. I will definitely ask for him when I need my next service!
Review: I am filing this complaint as a follow up to complaint #[redacted]. We had 20/20 Air Mechanical Corp at our home for routine air conditioning service on 6/8/15 for a unit purchased and installed by 20/20 Air 6/4/13. The technician said the air conditioning unit that 20/20 air installed on 6/4/13 was not working and provided an estimate for replacement of compressor. Given the unit was relatively new and had been working 2 weeks prior we had our suspicions.
We had [redacted] come for a service call on 6/15/15 and the technician found the unit to be working on the 2nd floor and that the switch to the air handler had been turned off for the 1st floor. The [redacted] technician simply turned on the switch for the 1st floor air handler and set the thermostat for the 2nd floor and the air conditioning worked normally. We can only conclude that the 20/20 Technician either is unskilled and erroneously declared the unit to be nonfunctional or purposely disabled the system to attempt to charge $2000 plus for an unnecessary repair.
In addition, [redacted] found that the cooling coil should have been replaced with the installation of the new unit we purchased from 20/20, but that was not done at time of installation. Documentation of the [redacted] service call can be provided.Desired Settlement: We are requesting $227.59 for the service call to [redacted] that determined that the air conditioning had simply been turned off and needed to be turned back on. We also request a written apology from 20/20 Air.

Response:
When we were at the home the Air Handler was on and the thermostat was set to cool. It could have been turned off in the meantime but there were numerous issues with the system one of which was a compressor. At this time we can no longer address this issue or service this customer as the stories are not consistent and she has threatened us. There will be no refund at this time as we did not charge her anything when we came out. We wish her the best with her unit and her repair company
