we have not received payment from this customerif they did send us a check, they may have forgotten to include the mobile number on the check so we could not clear the accountif the can send us the check number, we can research and see if payment without phone number was receivedwith regard to contact, we respond to EVERY email and EVERY reply to our messages within to hours so no message goes unansweredwe do not provide phone number because we are not set up for call center supportonce customer can identify the payment, we can clear their account

The company is a rip off charging over $for a couple minutes of talkingIs there no regulations? They send out txt messages and phone recording to try to collect their moneyWhy would I give out my credit card info to someone I've never heard of till the company can be verified

The complaint filed by [redacted] states that he is being charged for a collect call that he never received. On June [redacted] 2013 a collect call was accepted and authorized on [redacted] from phone number [redacted] . The call lasted 9 minutes. [redacted] can access a copy of his invoice on our website www.3gcollect.com by entering his phone number and authorization number ( [redacted] ). He can also listen to the caller's name recording as well as the authorization of the call. He can then either pay online or send a check to the address listed above (noting his cell phone number on the check or money order to be sure it gets cleared correctly). 3G Collect offers the called party numerous options to deny the call. I had a complaint that was supposed to have been resolved with you before Christmas, case number ***3G collect was to have cleared my account since it was paid in full many weeks ago, like by Thanksgivens, and they are harassing me for paymentThey claimed they had the money but didn't know where to apply the payment even though the payment listed the autho code they issued to the payment and was displayed cleared on the front of the money orderThey asked for additional information which I give and that should have been the end of this problem but as of today at 11:08am I am still receiving calls from them demanding payment which I do not oweI am done with this crapThese people need to stop double charging meThey need to stop harassing meEnough already

Without the cell phone information, we did not know what account to credit. The phone number listed in the complaint was the number we needed to clear the accountWe verified that we received check #*** and so we've applied the payment to her account. *** *** will not receive any more text messages

As expected, the business has entirely failed to address the facts that:
The collect call was quoted to cost 15.99, not over as they are asking for currently (This is the only part of the recording that I could understand beyond her name; see below)
The collect call was NEVER clearly identified to be facilitated by 3gcollect and the quality of the call was so poor that my girlfriend and I could barely understand each otherMoreover, I could ONLY understand that it was her that was calling and accepted the call because she was in the hospitalTerms were NEVER clearly given for payment, including whom to pay or method of payment.
I continue to be harassed multiple times per day regarding this situation and have yet not been provided any sort of proof that this company facilitated the call nor that I am not handing credit card information to some sort of scamThe over complaints regarding this company registered with the Revdex.com indicate that my experience is neither rare nor justified

We firstly would like to apologize for this late response to the complaint The complaint filed by *** *** states that she has tried to contact us on our website to obtain her authorization code but had never received an email back from us. We sincerely apologize for that and will look into this matter to see if there is any issues on our website that would have caused us not to receive *** ***'s email. It appears that a collect call was made and authorized on *** ***'s phone number on 1/**/from phone number ###-###-#### and the call lasted minutes. *** *** can view her account on our website at *** by entering her phone number that the collect call was authorized on and by entering her authorization code which is ***. 3G Collect gives the caller up to minutes of talk time for a flat rate fee of $plus $in taxes and fees for a total fee of $21.75. If *** *** looks up her account on our website she will see that her balance is $61.75. This is due to late fee's on her account as it remains unpaid since January. We are willing to accept the original fee of $if she sends a check or money order to the address listed above being sure to note her phone number or authorization code on the payment to ensure it gets applied to her account correctly Again we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused *** *** Regards, G Collect, LLC Customer Relations

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***. While I will accept the offer and will pay the $15.99, I would note that 3G Collect did not address my other concerns about their
practices. Specifically, 3G's services follow the collect call with multiple SMS text messages to the receivers phone. So while the while the called person may have accepted the call's expense, they then get hit with further charges in the form of SMS texting fees. This bullying collection method is then followed up with automated calls that further increase the expense to the called person (who, by the way, did not initiate this entire process).
Lastly, I take exception to the predatory pricing that 3G Collect uses. They specifically target jails and prisons as their customers. While incarcerated prisoners may appreciate the ability to be on the phone for minutes, someone who has been just arrested and is making his/her phone call isn't looking to hang out on the phone for half an hour (nor would they be allowed to). Someone receiving an unexpected collect call from someone who's never been arrested before shouldn't need to incur the excessive fee. 3G Collect is taking advantage of people in need and trouble and charging more for their product than should reasonably be charged
