Review: I received a collect call from my husband from a remote village within our same state. The call only lasted three minutes relaying emergency information. For days I have been receiving text messages stating I need to send payment in the amount of $19.63. I was not ever informed that I would be billed via text message, this has never been my experience, the amount is very excessive and not typical for the length of call in the same state so I was wary. Subsequent text messages have given varying addresses to submit payment to raising red flags as to the credibility. This company has not provided an invoice, nor have they responded to any inquiries or complaints I have made through phone number provided or from text message response. Online reviews state this company is a scam and not to submit credit card info so I have been left unsure how to handle this situation and have not received any response from the company.Desired Settlement: I wish to be taken off the contact list for this company. I find the repeated text messages harassing and not what I agreed to by agreeing to collect charges.

Response:

Dear Sir I Madam,

Please allow this to serve as a formal response to the complaint sent on July **, 2013 on 3G Collect, LLC,

business complaint.

The complaint filed by [redacted] states that she received a collect call from her husband that only

lasted three minutes and is disputing the charge. 3G Collect openly discloses the terms

of their services and must be agreed to prior to any authorized use of their services. Included

in the terms are the fact that the base charge is $15.99 plus a $3.64 fee for up to 30 minutes and the

penalty for non-timely payment.

3G Collect offers the called paity numerous options to deny the call. Ms. [redacted] accepted

these options and charges in the amount of$19.63 are due at this time and that is why she is receiving text messages.

We recently changed our address from 3G Collect LLC, [redacted]

[redacted] and that is why Ms. [redacted] may have noticed 2 different addresses in the text messages she has received.

We are unable to review her account as the phone number provided in the complaint is not in our system.

In order for us to review the account we will need the cell phone number that the collect call was made to.

Once we have this information we can review the callers recorded name as well as the receivers

recorded authorization of the call, along with the length of the call. Without

this information we have no way of reviewing the account or stopping the text messages.

Once we have this information we will review the account immediately.

Review: Someone in a prison called my phone by mistake a few months ago. The call lasted less than 15 seconds. He asked for someone. I told him he had the wrong number. He asked again. I said No, you have the wrong number and hung up. A few weeks later I started receiving frequent collection calls from 2G wireless than this 3G wireless. This has been going on for months now. I tried calling them back to explain the situation. Everything is automated, and no live rep will answer. I never had an account with them nor did I authorize an account with them. Please remove my number from your system and stop calling me. They do not have a contact number and the number listed on your website is no longer in service.Desired Settlement: Desired Settlement: Stop Contacting Me

Review: I started receiving collection calls and have never made a collect call from either my home phone or my cellular phone. I tried calling the number on the caller id and tried calling directory assistance to obtain a working number. Additionally, I have done a search on google to find information on this company. That search is how I got to this form.Desired Settlement: I would like to have this bill deleted and any monies or fees collected whether I am aware or not and punitive damages.

Review: I tried using their services which failed to connect several times before I finally gave up. They then send a text message saying I owe them $19 for using their services. After emailing them several times and requesting a representative to call me and explain why I am expected to pay when they failed to.uphold their end of the agreement no one has emailed or called me back yet I continue to receive text messages from them. I compared the scenario they are doing do a person going to Walmart making a purchase only to get home to find it doesn't work and then not expecting their money back or a product that does work.Desired Settlement: They failed to uphold their end of the service so bill dropped and for them to stop contacting me. Or a phone call to explain why they feel they should get paid.

Review: I received a collect call from my son approximately Jan **, 2014. The stated charge on the recording was either 19 dollars and some cents. I accepted the call. I immediately started receiving daily text messages and phone calls for a charge of 21.75. I tried going online to the website and it showed a charge of 21.75 for the call and an additional Universal Fee of 15.76 for a total of 31.75

The only way I found to communicate with this company is via email. But none of the amounts are adding up--- every amount is different - even the amount they said was my original charge. What is this Universal Fee they are trying to charge me with?

The recording when I receive a voice call just says to enter my credit card information to pay my outstanding charges- but it doesn't give an amount. NO way am I giving this company my credit card information when they continue to give me different amounts at every turn.

I am willing to pay the original amount, but none of these other fees.

Also, today I have tried to go to their website and I get a message that "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation". I have tried 2 different computers and 3 different internet browsers.

Here is the email communication from this company:

I received and accepted a collect call from my son about a month ago. I thought the amount was ridiculous, but did accept the call. It said 19.00 and some cents. I thought this charge was ridiculous and the call lasted only a couple minutes.

The text messages I am getting say 21.75 incls tax/fee. We don't pay any tax in the state of Alaska.

When I went online to pay, it says there is a balance of 15.99 (but the last column says fee if 15.76) and the call was 21.75 for a total of 31.75.

I want this resolved, but I will not pay for more than I authorized.Desired Settlement: I will pay the original amount owed -- but none of the other "fees". This is a rip-off charge and I did not authorize payment for anything more than the original phone call.

Then I want the company to stop contacting me and for payment of the original fee to be sufficient to close this account and leave my credit in good standing.

The company is a rip off charging over $21.00 for a couple minutes of talking. Is there no regulations? They send out txt messages and phone recording to try to collect their money. Why would I give out my credit card info to someone I've never heard of till the company can be verified.

Review: Dear Revdex.com, I am writing to complain about [redacted]. My husband tried to phone me collect and the call could not be made. Suddenly I am receiving $20 billing text messages and automated voice messages from this company. I did not consent to sign up for their service, nor did I use their service. They do not have any contact information on the site, only a feedback form. I keep receiving automated phone calls and text messages from them. Please advise of how to proceed. Review: I recieves a collect call and accepted because I was worried it would be from a family member having an emergency. Instead, it was from someone I did not know who hung up on me in less than 10 seconds. I have subsequently been harrassed for more than 60 days with a DAILY automated phone call and text message telling me I owe $19.50. They provide no recourse or customer service to dispute the bill. The phone nbr that calls me is computer generated and only offers one option, which is to pay with credit card. The phone call comes from Redlands, CA. I return the call and only get computer option to pay. I reply to text and recieve no response.Desired Settlement: Report as a scam or horrible business with Zero customer service care.

I proceeded to call the number provided but could not speak to a live representative and was not comfortable giving my credit card information to a recording nor was I comfortable paying a $2 processing fee. Review: I accepted a collect call on my cell phone (mistake). 3G Collect billed me $21.75 by text. I paid by check - check cleared my bank. I continue to receive numerous texts and robo calls on a daily basis. The full amount has been paid. I owe nothing - but 3G Collect is still attempting to collect this accountDesired Settlement: I want this fraudulent collect effort to cease - the amount owed has already been timely paid. Zero the account and go away.

Business

Response:

in order to check the account we need the mobile number that received the collect call. it is most likely that when the payment was made, the customer did not include the mobile number so we could not clear the account. please provide check number and name on the payment as well as the mobile number. if a check was received we can clear the account.

Review: daily Robo calls instruct me to pay by phone and want a credit card number, or go to web site where you can review your account. Web site promises all kinds of info but you need a auth code to access it. I have emailed via that web site as well as trying email through my individual account to get this number. No response whatsoever. I KNOW we had to use the service but will not be giving my credit card number to a source I am not sure about via robo call. Now I am highly suspicious of a place that apparently runs by machine.Desired Settlement: I just want you to do the job your robo call and your email says you will. Review: My son is in a locked mental health facility. He tried to call me collect and I tried to enter information so that I could talk to him. The call failed and I was never able to talk to anyone. Furthermore, the charge for the call went from $15.95 to $21.75 and I have never talked to anyone. There is no way to contact this company in order to straighten this wrongful collection. They call me every day and text everyday. This is pure harassment.Desired Settlement: I also would like this company to be investigated for fraud. This type of attempting to collect a false payment due is straight our fraud and should be prosecuted. I hope that this will all be made public because this company probably has a strangle hold on all mental health facilities, jails and prisons; all places where the residents do not have a choice about how to contact family and friends.

Review: I received a collect call that lasted 1 min and a few seconds (I was unable to hear the caller very well). I did accept the call not knowing it was calling my cell phone. My cell is forwarded to a home phone as it is not working properly. There were no charge amounts disclosed. I received a text immediately after saying I owed $19.63. I tried to call the number sent to explain what had happened but just got a recording. I then looked up the website to see if I could contact them that way. The site wont let you see your "account" unless you accept their "terms and conditions". They are as follows...Your access to this web site signifies your consent to all of the foregoing terms and conditions contained in this Agreement between you and 3G Collect, Inc. Single Acceptance of a collect from 3G Collect, Inc. is the customers express consent to receive one invoice by text message (a.k.a. SMS) on the customer’s mobile device at the number provided during the process followed by a minimum of 25 additional “reminders” sent in the same format. Customer agrees to pay any/all resulting charges from the customers wireless service provider to receive “text” message along with any other incidental charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. The customers express consent is also given to 3G Collect, Inc. to contact the customer on the provided mobile device number with "automated dialers" using "prerecorded voice" prompts to provide the customer with payment options, and in pursuit of delinquent accounts, any charges incurred by the customer by their wireless service provider are the sole responsibility of the customer. Customer also authorizes 3G Collect the sole right to use any information obtained during the process and billing process to use by any means needed throughout the internal or third partied collection efforts and also place derogatory payment information on credit reporting agencies and wireless carrier negative databases. I did not agree to this nor did I give permission to continually text and call my cell phone. Have received 3 in the last 26 hours. I do not feel I owe this bill as they failed to disclose information and bill me outrageous prices for a one minute call instate. I have replied with a "stop" message to the texts sent to no avail. If I thought paying them would stop this harrassment I would. However I am afraid to give such a shady company my bank information or credit card number. I have read all the complaints against them and not sure how to stop this. If I dont pay them here is thier "policy" on aditional fees. Fees and Surcharges: $0.65 Processing Fee Added to debit/credit card payments made through www.3GCollect.com $2.00 Processing Fee added to automated “Pay-by-Phone” Credit/Debit Card Payments $10.00 Late Fee for any outstanding charges not paid from day 26 to day 59 of first invoice $30.00 late fee will be assessed on all outstanding charges not paid within 60 days of first invoice $25.00 Returned/Insufficient Check Fee for all returned Bank Checks $1.99 Carrier Cost Recovery Fee* $0.50 Regulatory Compliance Fee**Desired Settlement: I would like my "account" removed from their business, a charge waiver as to what is owed (fraud), and this business to be shut down before it scams more and more people.
