AA Auto Protection Reviews (142)

This customer has stated on numerous occasions that her father worked for ** for 31 years.  Surely he would have let you know that a timing belt would need to be changed during the maintenance interval otherwise it can cause extensive damage to the vehicle.  We did listen to the call recordings from the time of purchase.  You were told that the timing belt was a covered part by way of your contract and you were also told that the vehicle had to be maintained to the manufacturers specifications.  Both of these statements are 100% true.  There is no Vehicle Service Contract that you can buy that will pay for items that are not maintained properly.A full copy of the contract that the customer purchased was sent to her email 5 days prior to the date she purchased the contract.  it was attached to the quote email she received.  She also received another email immediately upon purchasing the contract.  This confirmation email also has a copy of the full contract attached to it.

This contract was voided by the Administrator Royal Administration because [redacted] is not the registered owner of the vehicle.  You cannot take out a service contract on a vehicle you do not own.  A full refund has been issued to [redacted].

This policy is cancelled.  The customer has done a chargeback with his credit card which we will not fight.  This means that he has been refunded all monies taken by AA Auto Protection.

The customers last response does not include any answerable question.  The customer sent a copy of the confirmation email he received after purchasing his plan.  If I am missing something I will certainly respond.

Buyer beware of purchasing this coverage. They claim that you only need to wait 30 days without a break down or 1,000 miles. I had 2,900 more miles and 29 days past my 30 day period. My timing chain had failed and I could no longer drive my vehicle as intended by the manufacture. After multiple stages of denying my claim the end result from them was denied due to "normal wear and tear". With this being the case then nothing would be covered. The company would do nothing to help me against the fraudulent claim, many times pointing out that it had only been 29 days since coverage started.
Needless to say I canceled my warranty, thankfully on after 2 payments. I am only glad I did not find this out a year or two into those payments. This company will not cover you if you file a claim. Buyers beware

This customers situation is being taken care of.  Unfortunately, we had fraudulent charges on our refund account which caused this customers check to bounce.  We have reissued the refund along with the fees the customer was charged due to this bounced check.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I recommend to the business to reach out to customers in regards to their accounts, because I had no idea my letter of cancellation was even received by the business. I believe April 10th which is 4 weeks after the check is supposed to be written should be adequate time for the check to be received by me and if it is not I will be filing another complaint. Even though I am cancelling a subscription I believe all customers deserve to be treated with professionalism and all matters should be handled within a timely manner. Regards, [redacted]

Thu, Feb 23, 2017 at 10:56 AMSubject: [redacted] Unanswered ComplaintTo: [email protected], This is James F[redacted] at AA Auto protection.  We have an unanswered complaint for a customer by the name of [redacted].  As you know we always respond to all complaints.  I am not sure how this one slipped through the cracks.  We would like an opportunity to address these concerns.  Based on information provided to us from the Revdex.com any customer who is filing a complaint about a refund that was already processed would be removed from our complaints.  In this case the customer asked us to issue the refund to the credit card on file after the original check that was sent was not received.  After we issued the credit to the card the customer then decided to add that they no longer had the card.  The banking institution accepted the credit so the customer would need to contact the bank to see what is going on with it.  As you can see from the attachment, the refund was issued prior to the customer issuing this complaint.  The complaint should be removed based on the information provided to us from the Revdex.com. We would appreciate if you would take into account the fact that we have always responded to all complaints with your office.  The complaint in question was also refunded prior to the customers complaint. ThanksJames F[redacted]                                  ... This customer contacted AA Auto Protection on 2/23/2015 at 9:12am Eastern time and stated that she was interested in cancelling her policy.  At this time, we sent her the canx instructions to her email (please see attachment with time stamped notes from Inline Data Systems.)  We let her...

know that she would need to follow these instructions in order to cancel (they are the same instructions that are inside of her service contract). On 2/24/2016 this customer contacted AA Auto at 9:28 Eastern Time.  She called in irate and started accusing a representative of running her credit card for payment after she called to cancel.  She also stated that the canx instructions were purposely not sent to her the previous day.  Our representative let her know that we have absolutely no way of running her card manually without the card info.  Her card was on automatic payments since October 2015 when she purchased.  Her card was run at 6;28 am Chicago time on 2/23/2016 because her automatic payment was due.  We also let her know that the instructions were sent to her the previous day.  We verified that her email was correct and it was.  We sent the canx instructions again and she got them right away.

At the time of enrollment this customer stated that her mileage was 10,008.  Based on this mileage the customer was sold an exclusionary policy for low mileage vehicles.  A few months later the customer attempted to file a repair claim with [redacted]. which is the...

administrator of her contract.  At the time of the claim the mileage on the vehicle was over 100,000 miles.  [redacted] pulled a [redacted] which showed that at the time of enrollment the vehicle had over 100,000 miles on it and not the 10,008 miles stated.  Due to the mileage of the vehicle, [redacted] was forced to cancel the current contract.  The vehicle was not eligible for this coverage due to the mileage at the time of enrollment.  AA Auto Protection has issued a full refund in the amount of $165.00 to the customers credit card. The amount of money the customer stated that she paid was simply not accurate.  The customer did not pay $99.00 down for the plan.  AA Auto Protection paid her down payment of $99.25.  The customer made 1 monthly payment of $165.00.  A copy of the receipt is attached showing the issued refund.

The down payment of $59.00 has been refunded to the customers credit card.  A check in the amount of $99.95 is being issued to the customer on 12/14.

AA Auto Protection has never taken any payment from this customer.  The customer agreed to a policy at which time a pending payment was applied to her account.  She called and asked to cancel the policy so the Pending transaction was never captured by AA Auto.  The contract was cancelled within minutes of her asking to cancel.  No funds were ever captured by AA Auto.  It is up to the specific Banking Institution as to how long a "Pending Transaction" will remain on the account.  AA Auto has never collected any money from this customer.

A refund check in the amount of $1,370.07 is being mailed out on 12/14/2017.  Refund can only be issued based on money actually paid by the customer and not money paid by AA Auto Protection towards the customers contract.

A refund check was issued to this customer.  If the customer did not receive it they should let us know.

[redacted]  I received a replacement check for the original amount, but did not receive the fee the bank charged me for the NSF charge, nor did I receive the late charges. The company kept my money from January through April and ignored all my efforts to get a refund. They should pay the fees.

When I purchased the contract. The salesman was informed that the car was not registered in my name and I tried to give him the address. Said it was okay and he allowed me to purchase the contract. I have a review of all audio conversations that me and Lily had as a company has rejected my request. I have been refunded however, because I was sold a bogus contract from the beginning. They should pay for repairs. I fully disclosed all information and it it recorded. I fear since it has been several weeks, they have altered audio
