I write to acknowledge the receipt of the complainants rebuttal. That is correct, it was an acknowledgement of the receipt of the initial complaint with the mention of contacting the complainant by the middle of this week.As a gesture of goodwill only, we will be sending the complainant a check in the amount of $143.72 to resolve the issue.

Good afternoon,So, the member rejected our response however, due to the fact that she had the battery replaced prior to notifying us, we consider the battery warranty to be null and void.

 I didn't think that it was the battery as it was under 6 months old.  so when it wouldn't start I  was at work and there is a garage there, so they checked on it and replaced the battery.  I needed to have a car that starts.  The battery was replaced in March and I was told it was new, the warranty shouldn't be a question as it was less then 6 months old and again I was told it was brand new.  AAA did not put a brand new battery in my car in March.  I was given a battery that was defective and I shouldn;t have to fight like this to get reimbursed for it.  I advised them to come and get the old (supposedly new) battery.

Our licensed appraiser inspected the vehicle in question. The damage that is being alleged is not possible and, there is no supporting evidence to substantiate this complaint. The rear air ride level sensor is cracked and, based on the photographs that were taken by our appraiser, the crack appears...

to be old. Both sensors are in poor condition and appear to be in need of replacement due to normal wear and tear. Therefore, we were unable to mediate the allegation of damage on the member's behalf. We offered to arrange an inspection and reenactment with the member present, this was declined. We were advised that the vehicle may already have been repaired. Furthermore, we were advised by the member that he had filed a Revdex.com complaint and, would prefer that we communicate with him through the Revdex.com. We also asked if he wanted to contact the dealer and let us know if the repairs had been completed, he declined that option as well. We explained the reasoning as to why we were unable to mediate his claim and, the member said he wants all further communication through the Revdex.com.

I never thought a battery that was less then 6 months old would not work.  I kept having trouble and thought (due to the battery being less then 6 months old and brand new) that it could never be that what was causing my car not to want to start.  I thought it was the starter or the alternator.  I don't have the pleasure of time to  call AAA and wait for them to come and check on a defective battery.  I don't trust AAA as why would a brand new battery not work less then 6 months later.  I had to take the car to my mechanic as it would not start while at work and that is where the mechanic was.  I will have AAA come and get  their old (supposedly new) battery and I would like a refund.the address is [redacted] MA

I did receive the response from AAA you are referring to; however, it was not made clear to me at the time of my upgrade that I would have to wait 5 to 7 days to use my upgraded services.  In addition, the upgrade took place on April 6, 2017 and the tow was on April 7, 2017, not April 6, 2017.  If there is nothing you can do in this regard, so be it.  I feel that AAA was not forth coming when I made the decision to upgrade my services.

However, even though I have spoken to the customer service rep from AAA a couple of times regarding my refund, I still have not received it  a week and a half later.  I have been waiting for my check in order to click that this has been resolved, but needed to answer your email within ten days.  I would like an additional day or two to see if my check finally arrives, before I want the case closed. Thank you!

We have communicated with the complainant and advised him that there is a parasitic draw that needs to be diagnosed. Once this is completed, the complainant will contact the individual that he has been working with here at our HQ.

I had opened a complaint #[redacted]  against  AAA -  R.I. for damage done to my daughters car when towing.They refuse to admit damaging the car even though I provided a signed statement from the service center manager they towed the car from.AAA offered to make a settlement to resolve the situation which I agreed would be the best option. Revdex.com closed the case  at that point.I have tried to contact AAA through phone and email and they will not respond to my request for what type of settlement they would offer.I would like to reopen the complaint to determine why the offered to settle then have not responded to my repeated requests for details.

I write to acknowledge the receipt of this members complaint.It is my understanding that the member had an opportunity to speak with two of our employees yesterday 9/12/2016 and, the warranty policy was explained in depth.The members husband purchased a battery on March 11. 2016. We were not...

made aware of any issues whatsoever until receiving a phone call from the member on 9/12/2016. As with any standard warranty, there are terms that are applicable as to how one would qualify for relief. In this instance, the members mechanic allegedly stated that the battery was defective however, we were never afforded the opportunity to conduct any tests or, replace the battery, if in fact it was deemed to be defective. To our knowledge, the battery was simply replaced and discarded. Based on the actions that were taken prior to being notified, we consider the warranty to be null and void.

I write to acknowledge the receipt of this complaint in the Providence RI headquarters.We are in the process of researching this matter and will reach out to the complainant by the middle of next week.
