Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: If this person is not the owner since so who is the owner Regards, [redacted]

I have read the complaint from Mr [redacted] We have attempted to contact the customer for weeks with no response The initial work on his vehicle is completed There is additional work to be done which we have received authorization from the customer today, March Thank you and regards [redacted] ***

[redacted] 's Freestar was towed into our center on 12/6/with the complaint of no reverse After performing diagnostics it was determined to be an internal transmission problem [redacted] had an extended warranty and they chose to send us a remanufactured transmission that we installed Our repair order totaled $and the extended warranty company paid for $of that repair ***'s responsibility was $ The vehicle was picked up on 12/19/ The vehicle was towed to us on 1/3/with the complaint of "just stopped running" It had a code of PEngine RPM limit reached We cleared the code and the van drove fine We told [redacted] at that time that she may have a computer issue There was no charge to *** The vehicle was towed to us on 1/12/with the complaint that the car won't start We tested the battery and it failed the test We replaced the battery We also found water intrusion in the PCM (computer) wiring connectors We cleaned that out, cleared the codes and the van drove fine [redacted] was charged $for the battery and hour of repairing the wiring at the computer Today [redacted] called and said the vehicle would turn over but not stay running and had the van towed in to us Right now it has a code of Pfor the camshaft positioning sensor We are in the process of doing the diagnostics but again every time the van has returned to us, it is for something completely different from the problem with the transmission This van has miles on it and things will go wrong Once we find out for sure what the problem is this time, we will let [redacted] know and I will update the Revdex.com

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me [redacted]

This Aamco provided excellent service to me when the transmission installed by a different Aamco failed on my route from West Tennessee to Florida We broke down late on a Sunday night, had the vehicle towed to the Nolensville Pike Aamco miles away, and rented a car to continue on to Florida We then called the manager of the Nolensville Aamco the next morning to explain the situation He was extremely friendly We informed him that the transmission that had failed was still under warranty and sent him the documentation Without ever meeting us in person, he replaced the transmission under warranty and had the vehicle ready for me to pick up the next weekend Not only that - but the transmission is running like newI am very happy with the friendliness, efficiency, quality of work, and integrity of this business!

In the [redacted] matter My [redacted] (father) had contacted AAMCO headquarters The Senior Regional Manager for AAMCO also contacted Mr [redacted] This matter was resolved Thanks and regards class=""> [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me [redacted]

Back in May I was starting to feel a slight vibration When my 4runner was warmed up, in gear and at a complete stopI took it to AAMCO in Lemon Grove to have a Power Purge Transmission flush and asked for them to see if they noticed any problemsThey said they didn't see any problems so that was that Over the next months the vibration increased and a low pitched thrumming sound started to appearOn 12-7-I took it back to AAMCO in Lemon Grove and explained the situation and they said they would look at it no chargeWhen they couldn't find the problem I was told by Jerry further in depth diagnostic would cost $I agreed to the service An hour later I was told my 4runner needed a New timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, timing belt idler, water pump bracket, radiator cap, tensioner bearing, water pump gasket and new coolantParts $Labor $Jerry told me these parts needed to be replaced but might not fix the vibration problem I originally brought the vehicle in forI gave them my okay to do the work After this work was done Jerry told me the vibration problem had been fixedI took the vehicle out for a test drive and realized the vibration problem was still there and now the SUV is leaking coolantThis should have been my first clue that they really didn't know what they were doing, but after further diagnosis by the mechanics I was told It might be the fan clutch causing the vibration and that they would replace that part and the upper radiator hose for only the cost of the parts and no charge for labor so again I agreed to the service After the work was done and once again i'm told the vibration problem had been fixed I take the SUV out for a test drive and the vibration with low pitched thrumming is still there After informing Jerry of the situation' I and a different mechanic than the one that had been working on my SUV take it out for another test driveHe isolates the problem as something is making the exhaust system is shake and vibrate but is not exactly sure what After further inspection i'm told it is probably the motor and transmission mounts and they will replace them with no labor costsOnce again I agree to the service The next day i'm told they can't find the correct motor mounts and would have to buy them from Toyota direct at a premium price but the transmission mount has been installed and there is no more vibration So once again I test drive and the vibration is still thereThat's times they told me the problem had been fixed and times I was lied to I understand that my SUV is 18, soon to be years old and a lot of parts are going to wear out and need to be replaced and that the parts AAMCO replaced most likely needed to be replaced and that's the only reason I don't file a complaint and sue them, but to have them tell me times the original problem I brought the SUV in for had been repaired when in fact it had not is very disturbing and goes to prove their incompetenceAll that with a lousy day parts and labor warranty Oh I didn't mention one of these days I waited hours just for the paperwork after a diagnosis was done and after everything was all said and done I saw that the interior of my SUV had grease spots on the doors and seats and that the Steering wheel, Shift lever and emergency brake were covered in grease I Strongly recommend against using AAMCO Lemon Grove`unless you wish to be talked down to and receive terrible service

I am rejecting this response because:I was told the scanning for simple engine light does not cost $I was told to scan the light cost $to $120, so I was charged $for check into something I did not ask forOver all AAMCo scammed meThey advertised for free engine light check they get people in, then they charged all kind of fee, the perform other inspections not ask the customer then get charged for itIn sort, AAMCo scammed people

Spoke to [redacted] of the businessHe stated that the car needed a new transmission and could not just be rebuilt due to the problems it was havingHaving to get a new transmission would have been much more expensive for the customer, but they agreed to only charge them the price of the rebuildThey brought in a third party company to help finance the rest of the balanceThis company requires checks in order to pay for the balanceThe customer did not have the right types of checks at first and then when the right type of checks was presented they were rejectedThe business tried to find the customer additional financing but it did not work so the business allowed the customer to keep the car on their lot, they did not charge them storage fees or interest fees, and to pay on the car until the balance was paidThe business is willing to let them pay for the car over three months and once the car is paid for the car will be releasedHowever, due to liabilities the car cannot be released until it is fully paid for in case something happen to the vehicle [redacted] said that the customer can call him to discuss this issue and to find a solution to the problem that works for both parties

I am glad that AAMCO customer REJECTED the response you sent to AAMCO customer(Not My Customer) Do you Seriously expect me to tell AAMCO customer as to who is the current OWNER??? Are you kidding me ??? [redacted] ***

Mr [redacted] had his vehicle towed into our shop and we did a diagnostic on the vehicle The vehicle had an internal transmission problem There is no repairing an internal transmission problem The transmission either has to be rebuilt or replaced Mr [redacted] did not want to spend the money to rebuild the transmission Since replacing the transmission with a remanufactured transmission would have been more expensive than rebuilding his transmission, the only other option was to find a used transmission My manager, ***, called several salvage yards to find a used transmission To keep the cost at a minimum for Mr [redacted] , we suggested that he use his credit card and purchase the used transmission directly If we buy the used transmission, we must mark up the price to cover our overhead and warranties Mr [redacted] talked to the salvage yard and purchased the transmission with his own credit card while he was in our front office over the phone Any decisions about what type of warranty is a discussion between Mr [redacted] and the salvage yard ( [redacted] Auto) Never at any time did we make a photocopy of Mr [redacted] 's credit card(When [redacted] called Mr [redacted] to let him know that the vehicle was ready for pick up, Mr [redacted] gave [redacted] a credit card number over the phone, but when we tried to charge the card, the transaction would not go through.) [redacted] Auto shipped the transmission to us and we did a labor only installation That means that our warranty extends to the labor of taking the transmission out and replacing it with the used transmission When Mr [redacted] 's transmission failed once he returned to Omaha, the warranty was through [redacted] Auto They have offered to ship another used transmission to Omaha Mr [redacted] did not purchase a used unit with labor warranty, so only the transmission itself is under warranty In talking to the AAMCO Center in Omaha, and AAMCO's Corporate Office, we have decided that it is only good customer service to replace Mr [redacted] 's transmission at no cost, even though we are under no obligation to do so We have arranged for [redacted] Auto to ship their replacement transmission to the AAMCO Center located at [redacted] ***, and they will replace the transmission and bill our center

We are not here to take advantage of anyoneWe do have a tape of [redacted] authorizing the repair, however we will cease repairs and charge for just the towing and inspection

Rear end went out in my truckhad them rebuild itKnew they were over charging me but I was from out of town and standard there miles from homeJust took my truck in to transmission shop to have transmission rebuilt and while they talking to guy about rebuilding me transmission asked him what it would cost if they were rebuilding my rear end and he said he is doing one for another customer exactly what I had done and his price he told they were charging was $ [redacted] told me that was the $ [redacted] was best he could do and that he was giving me a good deal
