We were not told we were entering into a three year contractWe had to pay $to end our contract when we moved We signed up with ADT and were told it was a month to month basis with NO contract, we had no reason to believe we were entering into any sort of contractWe were also told that when we moved they would reinstall for FREEBeing in the military we move a lotWe were also told the system worked a lot differently than it actually did, we were told it would automatically contact the police if the alarm went offWhen our alarm did go off I got a text message, not even a phone call and no phone call was made to the policeI was unhappy and tried to cancel as I was told I could and they informed me that I would have to pay $feeWe did not want to do that so when we said we were moving and wanted to move the equipment we were told that was not an option we would have to rebuy everything and pay another installation feeOur sales rep was Janie [redacted] she mislead

I have been made many promises but no follow thru I have been told I would get a call back many times, but never happens I mailed CEO, no response unanswered letter to CEO, I know there are steps to follow as a customer to contact ADT of problems with the service (and there are many problems with the service and lack of service) and equipment I have tried for over six months to follow those steps; however, your company employees do not follow through with their promises Please review the following chronological time frame that I am listing below If your company is unwilling or unable to even return my calls when I talk to them, then I need to change providers and request a refund of what I have paid for the service at three different locations that I own Please let me know who will contact me and when I have been more than reasonable, as you will see from the notes in your own system, but I have done all I am willing to do If I need to obtain legal representatio

ADT-Protectron and I have agreed to return video camera in exchange for a refund $281.73 on Aug. 29th, 2016. The video camera was uninstalled from our home by the ADT/Protectron tech within 2 weeks of Aug. 29th. As of today, Oct. 31st, 2016, I'm still waiting for my refund cheque. very poor service [redacted] ADT Corporate [redacted] Road [redacted] XXXXX January 22, Dear Mr [redacted] : I am writing to express my extreme satisfaction with my ADT services History: I went under contract in November to secure my home(Encl #1) At the time of installation, a service man came into my home and after asking where I wanted my security panel, he commenced drilling a hole in to my wall After the installation he told me that my service would cost 50+ dollars per month and my initial charge would be 120+ dollars I said, no, my service was to be per the advertisement He said that his ticket was to install the premium service He told me that I should take it up with corporate to resolve any issues The first bill I received was for over $I paid it and filed a complaint ADT told me that since it was a "Defender" company that I would have to take up all issues with Defender, I called Defender and they told me that ADT would have to handle the issue and was abruptly disconnected I called Defender back and was hung up on again I called ADT and was informed that because my contract was less than months old, I would have to handle all issues though Defender I called Defender and was abruptly disconnected after being placed on hold for over minutes My next bill was for $dollars I called to complain about the billing and was informed that to get the charge I would need a dedicated phone line I called ATT and had a dedicated phone line installed Defender came out again to reinstall the correct service The serviceman removed the panel in my wall and left the four-inch hole The installer said that if he were to repair the hole that I would not like the results Obviously, I was not thrilled with the hole either I have since patched the hole, picture attached (Encl #2) The service man connected the wires from the ADT Panel and the phone jack He left the wiring in such a state that it looked like a 3rd grader performed the service(Encl #3) To the installer's credit, he said that it was a couple years since he installed a dedicated phone line I am now beyond livid The service has been VERY POORThe quality of workmanship is greatly lacking I want the service removed and contract cancelled I called ADT and they told me that, because it was less than two months that I would have to handle all complaints through Defender Defender told me that only ADT can cancel a contract (This went on for four phone calls) After a week of this run around, Defender told me that now that I have had the service for over two months, I cannot cancel without paying the full contract, over $ I have NEVER HAD SUCH POOR SERVICE and I cannot evaluate the product due the limited time on line To resolve this issue: refund my initial down payment and remove all products from my home There is nothing that can be accomplished with ADT or Defender that I feel confident to allow this product in my home Thank you for listening to my rant Sincerely, [redacted] Very dissatisfied customer Encl (1) Initial Bill (2) Picture of wall (3) Picture of phone line plug (4) Copy of email correspondence Sent via Certified Mail XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

I live in Calgary and have had shouting matches with your customer calls -usually at 7:AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings calling about a service problem at our cottage in Manitobahrs different from the Montreal call centreFirstly they know nothing about the word cottage home -lake front home and summer home- Hove no clue where Manitoba is and where Calgary Alberta is - The problem concerning my making a call to a service representative from Manitoba meeting me at the Cottage when I travel back to our Lake HomeIf you see the call log you see that I have been transferred to the Tech support times and placed on hold for to minutes as the time I sat on hold and waiting for a technician - was too long and tied up my home line too long Your company lost our Home account Calgary Ab when we moved and no one answered my request for a quote and install to our new Home This lack of customer service issue at Cottage is too much to handle - Do you follow up on your calls to customers ??? I was told that I would be billed for stopping my monitoringI was charged times out of my contract I stopped my contract due to me moving and ADT could not cover my new addressI was told that I would get a $credit because it was their fault that I could not move and that I would stop being chargedSince my contract has been stopped on 8/31/I have been charged times once for monitoring of and one time again for Both times I did not authorize the payment to be taken outI was also told that I would not recieve the credit that I was told about even though every person that I spoke with said it was on my account

No customer service here, folks. Nasty Company. They bought my account from a local security company. They took money from my bank account, unauthorized to do so. The local company confirmed for them, mine was never an automatic payment account. Customer service did not accept my statement of this. I'm just their lowly customer...When I stated I did not want to be a customer with them for the above reasons, they are trying to hold me to a contract for three more years. That or a buy out. Very aggressive tactics and NOT customer focused. Stay away.

Absolutely absurdWe called to cancel our services prior to our year contract being over, so we knew we were going to get hit pretty hard with cancellation fees (totally okay with paying the cancellation fees)What we were not okay was the continuous lies and deception the employees gave us Our first call was initiated on Dec19th, (the day the house was being sold) to cancel the servicesOn that day, we were told the final amount due and that it would be auto-debited from our account on the following month when our monthly payment was typically auto-debited In January, we watched for the cancellation to hit the account, but it didn'tInstead, they billed us our monthly amountImmediately, we called to find out what was going onThis time we were told, oh yes we see you cancelled, but there is a day window before the services are actually cancelled Okay, fine, but will the amount for cancellation now be reduced? The representative stated with great certainty, yes since you paid January's monthly amount your cancellation amount will reflect that and then proceeded to give us the new cancellation terms At that time, we requested our checking account info be removed, as we wanted a paper invoice mailed to us, for our records and to be sure no more payments were taken from us without our being aware of themThe representative promised an invoice was being sent in the mail that day, so we could pay the final balance However, that bill never arrivedInstead, I discovered they "sent" (it was never sent anywhere except our online portal) us a February bill for the monthly amount due and increased the cancellation amount by $without ever notifying us OR sending the bill we had requested in the first place Thanks for wanting payments, but not sending bills and lying to us the entire timeWe would have happily paid the amount initially agreed uponNow, not so much

Company demanding day notice of cancellation at end of contract without notifying customers that contract is due to expire I purchased a home in [redacted] in and contacted ADT for a system based on an advertisement for approximately $20/month monitoring service and an equipment package that included features I wanted, including a camera, carbon monoxide monitoring, and entry point sensors My spouse had also previously used an ADT system and was pleased with the service I was also under the impression from the ad that it would include a year contract When the technician arrived, we were informed that ADT has changed to wireless, battery powered sensors, which was a concern, but we were assured that the battery life in each component would exceed the duration of the contract and if we chose to renew at that point, we could get a whole new system When the installation was complete, I was informed that the monitoring that included the video features and all the equipm

My mother has had this service for over yearsShe never took the necklace button off when home The sense of safety was false She fell, preessed the button git a voice response from ADT When nobody was sent: She tried again and received the intercom response No one was didpatched A neighbor who heard her screams didnt call because he heard the talking He eventually called himself when he continues to hear screams Not only did ADT fail to respond if she had not had their voices onthe intercom she would have gotten help sooner She almost died ADT was heard respond on the intercom by more than just my mother, but they chose to do nothing

I would also give a zero star rating if I couldAfter a recent absence from my house, I had to pay $to the police for alarms generated by a piece of ADT equipment "with low batteries"There was no way of contacting ADT from the UK when I was away, in order to stop these alarms ADT accepted no responsibilityI cancelled my service with them but then was charged a monthly fee after the date of cancellationNo explanation givenAs far as I'm concerned, ADT has cost me far more than any burglar would through breaking into my houseADT are the true [redacted]

ADT billed me for over years without providing serviceWhen notified, ADT is only willing to credit years I called with an issue on my account and learned that the account was not active and had not been for yearsHowever, ADT had continued to bill me, $quarterlyWhen I contacted ADT, I spoke with a Steven at the corporate levelSteven assured me that ADT would assess and rectify the situation and sent a field worker to my house (5/26)The worker informed me that the account had not been active since He stated there would have to be a new installSteven did not call back, so I attempted to contact himI heard from him a week later at which time he had little informationHe started his conversation stating that it is essentially the customer's responsibility to know that the system is not active (6/2)Steven contacted me the following Monday to let me know that he was waiting to hear back from his manager on what ADT could to do helpDuring our conversation

Trying to transfer services and being charged an outrageous fee We have been with ADT for the past few years and always tried to be great customersRecently we moved and asked to transfer servicesThe technician/sales rep came to our home and informed us that instead of transferring services, ADT would ask for six months up front for renting an apartment which could come to as much as $We have just spent $in moving expenses and we can't afford to pay $Due to the fact that we can't afford this fee, our services have now been terminated which will lead to us being charged hundreds for early terminationEither way, ADT will be charging us hundreds of dollars that we can't afford

Cancel my service with no penalty due to lack of performance of the system on numerous occasions which is documented below I purchased October - my husband was traveling often and with children I felt like we would be safe and free from worry That has not been the case with the ADT system and its lack of performance and customer service has had just the opposite effect causing uncertainty in our safety, lack of sleep, and overall frustration My family has been woken up in the middle of the night by beeping sounds that won't stop even after contacting the ADT service representative We have waited days for a technician and every time after leaving the home the beeping would resume only having to wait once again for another representative We are an extremely busy family with child school activities and, to have to wait around for an ADT technician to come in a 4-hour window is excessive and unreasonable Below is the documented technician visit tickets over the course of
