We contacted ADT to have them update our system & change from "Protection one to ADT We paid $for the 1st months my credit cardThey were suppose to come out this afternoon to do the update installationThis morning while my adult disabled son was napping & I was still asleep they called & left a message that didn't make any senseWe had already confirmed the appointment last week When I checked the message the # was only given once & was hard to understand, & was not the same as the # on the phone screenWhen some one finally answered the phone, they didn't like it that My adult son was the one who was going to be home, though he lives here, has my permission & ability to pay for any additional stations on the on the house They wanted a copy of our house deedIn the years I have lived in this house we have never been for a deed to the house to have work done here Since my husband died, I have had thousands of dollars of plumbing & termite work done, much of it while my son was here with the workers & were he had to write large checks for the workNever have we ever been asked for a deed to the house to be faxed or be mailed to them before a company would come out to the houseIn other words this company took a $payment on a credit card & then refused to come out to do work They disrespected a disabled Veteran who lives at home with his elderly disabled other & helps this elderly disabled mother My Veteran son & I work well to gather as a team, but ADT seems to be some kind of a SCAM

Protection (now ADT) was installing a new security system in the newly built houseProtection failed to wire the system properly Protection (now ADT) was installing a new security system in the newly built house in June They failed to wire the system properly and failed to install one carbon monoxide detectorFor months, the system was giving positives In late March 2018, I did not disarm the system and opened the back doorProtection called and told me that thee was carbon monoxide present and we should evacuate the houseI asked them to send a technician to review the system because opening the back door should not lead to carbon monoxide alarmThe situation did not make sense The technician arrived a few days laterDuring the review of the system it was found out: - One monoxide detector was not installed - The wiring was done improperly in such way that upon opening of the door the carbon positive monoxide alarm was triggered - Carbo

I have had ADT Security Since Jan ,I Cant Be more happier with the alarm company they have always been there when I have wanted to change systems or add stuff to my alarm system and they have a great monitoring service they call you soon as the alarm system goes off love it

I used to love ADT and thought they did a phenomenal job from the technicians going the extra mile to help you out, to the customer service reps on the phone following up other area reps to make sure my need was metThe equipment and install job was impeccable for six years that I had service with them through a hardwired system Then, in January 2015, the third floor condo had a hot water heater bust and the water damage traveled to my unit on the ground floor and destroyed my hardwood floors, which in turn, caused repairs to include taking out the previous hard-wired ADT systemThat, my friends, is when it all went downhillWhen ADT tried to adamantly tell me that they don't do hard-wired systems anymore, but that they've switched to the CRAP-tastic wireless base I can't even BEGIN to describe all of the issues we had with the "new and improved" systemFrom DAY ONE, it never worked and I was constantly calling service technicians out but they couldn't figure out what was wrong with itI'd beg every time to be switched back to hard-wire and they'd say there's no way that there'd be wires across ours floors at this point with the new floors in Low and behold, a wonderful technician is sent to us as another last attempt to figure out our connection issue, and THE TECHNICIAN ACTUALLY SAYS THAT HE DOES NOT RECOMMEND THE SYSTEM TO ANYONE AND THAT HE REVIEWED IT NEGATIVELY WHEN IT WAS IN BETA TESTINGEven ADT's own employees KNOW it's a piece of crap! The one good thing that has come out of all of this, has been that this gentleman pieced together a hard-wired base to the wireless pieces and it has been brilliant ever since That is just the equipment issueThe other main reason why I am so livid with this company and think they need to be fined just like Comcast, is because they have repeatedly messed up my bill, overcharged me, and totally LIED to me when I can show PROOF of why I should be charged or should be refundedTheir bills are NOT transparent, so the customer often times is not able to clearly read where the charges are coming fromOnce you get past the initial setup, my experience with the automatic billing has been fine, but I am still dealing with un-authorized charges made by ADT to my bank for transfer installation after I moved, and that's after the TWO AND A HALF MONTHS of not having service, because yet again, the install guy who came INSTALLED it incorrectly! Apparently, they contract installers out who aren't always up to date on all of the equipment nor know how to operate itIt's ridiculous! I'm so sick and tired of paying for services that I don't receive or when I receive them, it's wrong! We literally had THREE technicians come out in one day because the initial install was not done correctly, so the system kept beeping ADT needs to be held accountable for their shady billing system and WORSE than poor training of their installers!

Being charged a massive penalty despite being told by rep that we wouldb;t be charged early termination fee. When we signed a contract with ADT rep Judi [redacted] in March 2015, she told us that if we moved from a house to an apartment - which is what we are doing on October 15, 2016 - we would not be charged an early termination fee. When I called today to cancel our service with ADT I was told that I would be charged a monthly fee until March 2018 - totaling upwards of $1,000 for a service I won't be using. This is totally and completely inappropriate and taken advantage of their customer. Please help to rectify this issue as it's clearly an attempt by ADT to make easy money off of their customers. It's unethical and wrong.

What ADT installed is not what I ordered, yet they say I am locked into a year contract, "bait-and-switch" fraud ADT and I agreed to have continuous recording cameras and door bell camera installed When the tech arrived for the installation, he informed me that the cameras only recorded for minutes after motion is detected He thought I should know since it wasn't what I ordered We agreed to not have the cameras installed and that I would need to speak with someone in sales So, he left, only having installed the door bell camera I spoke with ADT sales and mentioned that I did not get what I ordered and would like to cancel the contract They said that I couldn't since the door bell was installed I feel that it was a bait-and-switch and should not be tolerated Since I did not get what was originally agreed to, I believe the contract should be voided

The signature on my contract with ADT was forged. I think by the sales rep. I had an ADT security system installed at my previous house and was about 2 years into the 3 year contract. I called ADT to tell them I was moving and how I can have a system there. I was told by the sales rep and the agent at ADT that my contract would be paused and then restart when I moved into my new house. I never signed anything but I was working with the sales rep to get this done. The date I first called the call center about how much longer I was under contract for was January 17th 2017. They told me 3 years and I disagreed. I asked to be emailed a copy of my contract. They sent it to me and I noticed my signature was forged. I think it must have been the sales rep. I have tried calling them and working with the agents to resolve the issue. No one is getting back to me so I called today (January 25th 2017) to cancel my service. They told me ADT is under the impression I am under contract. I explained

I have been trying to cancel my ADT subscription but ADT neglected to respond until I quit paying the monthly bill I first emailed ADT in October 6, that I wanted to cancel my plan with them after I received a letter saying they were raising my rates I got no response and I continued to pay the bills In September I started emailing to cancel the account again I also had an ADT person come to my home and show me how to power down the system I told him I wanted it canceled also I made multiple calls to the number I was given, also requesting cancelation, and repeatedly was disconnected No one ever told, mailed, or emailed me that I had to sign a specific form Still getting no response, I quit paying the monthly bill Finally I got a call saying I had to sign a specific form, which they mailed me I signed, stating I've been trying to cancel for months (really years!) but they continued to bill me Now they're saying they've finally cancelled my account b

We were sold a system & told the motion detectors wouldn't interfere with pets, yet our pets set it off making it unusable, company refuses to cancel When we were sold this system, we were told that our pets would not set off the motion detectorsThe sales person said the installer would place them at a level that would not set them offOur pets set them off so we can never set the system We have called numerous times over the span of months trying to cancel this system because it does not function in the way it was sold to usThe company has told us that pets do set off the systems and if we want to cancel, we must pay upwards of $1, We were deceived into the functionality of the product to get us into a contract and even though they acknowledge the product doesn't work the way they sold it as, they refuse to waive the fee and break the contract

ADT sold us contract-free monitoring service in person, but now says we are in a 3-year contract which can only be broken with a early termination fee In April 2015, we purchased a new home with an existing ADT systemRamsey [redacted] an [redacted] sales rep sold us new service and verbally promised that there was no long-term commitment or contractWe did not sign a service contract, and service began that month In June 2017, we chose to end ADT monitoring service, and when we called, ADT said we were in a 3-year contract and could cancel but would have to pay an early termination fee A contract was emailed to us upon request and was presented as a contract we signed upon starting service I did not sign the contract that was provided My signature does not appear on it A signature of my name appears, and it is not mine I never electronically signed any service contract with ADT The sales rep, Mr [redacted] falsified and/or misrepresented the service terms We never would

even though I was not under contract, I followed their guidelines and cancelled a month in advance. they are continuing to bill us illegally every mo. we called in march to cancel our service, and advised them we were going with someone else. I was told they required 30 days notice. I advised them I was not under contract with them, I was month to month as I had my contract with brinks many years ago, and I never signed any such agreement to give a months notice. none the less in an interest to keep things simple I agreed to let them bill me one more month. then they billed again in April. I called and was told they would cancel but I had to pay another month. I advised them that would not be happening. they removed me from auto pay, but continued to bill me for a system no longer installed. got another bill in MAY and sent certified letter to all of their addresses stating account should be closed and zero balance. what I received back was paperwork stating I am required to cancel on

I have been with ADT for a little over 8 months now and it's been going well until I decided to order cameras to add on to my house. Over the phone the order process was ok then the install day came the technician called 30 minutes prior to the appointment everything seamed ok I told him someone would be here when he arrived. Then I get a call back from the technician about 45 minutes later to inform me that I myself had to be there to sign a contract before he started the job. Really? Ok sorry I wasn't informed I had to be there but just someone over the age of 18 with access to the home. No problem he said we can reschedule you for later today if that works yes I say what time? He said he would call back and let me know so he did about 10 minutes later how's Between 12-3 I say fine I will leave work early and meet you then. I leave my job early 4 1/2 hours early drive 25 miles back home just to wait, and wait. Finally 1:45 I get a call from ATD telling me they can't make it and want to reschedule me two weeks later and also during work hours yep you guessed it 12-3 gtfoh now I'm out 4 1/2 hours of pay from leaving work early and now they want to try this bs with me again?? No thanks cancelled install and now I wish I could cancel this contract not a happy customer.

We were told at siand when we first tried to cancel our service that the contract was 2-yearsCalled again at 2-years they said contract is 3y We moved to [redacted] , [redacted] and decided to sign up for ADT services due to the safety concerns in the neighborhoodWe signed up April of and were told on the phone it was a 2-year contractWe called when we moved last year to cancel and the person on the phone said it was a 2-year contract and we were better off just waiting to cancel a month before the 2-year mark so we aren't penalized for early cancellationWe have been paying to secure an unoccupied house since we officially moved in November of 2015, waiting to cancel appropriately as the customer service representative explainedI called today (3/23/2016) to give our 30-day notice and cancel our services so we are not penalized only to find out it was actually a 3-year contract and that we now owe over $to cancelI reached out to the public to help remedy this situation

ADT is terrible!!!! Do not do business with themThey told me that all I had to pay was the $installation feeThe total cost ended up being over $1200!!! When I realized, I have been misled, I asked the technician to stop installing equipmentHe proceeded to install all the equipment against my wishes anyway, saying it was too lateI was so upset, because he had continued to drill all those holes in my wall, knowing it would decrease the chance of me asking them to take their equipment back exposing those holesThis was even after I begged and literally cried because I couldn't afford thisReflecitng back, I should have just called law enforcement I checked my account and the company had used my card information to get around $of the $they have scammed me out ofThen the technician wants to explain to me that his wife is out on maternity leave and he was the only one paying billsSorry, not my problem, because I am the only one paying bills in my household alsoI called the main office the technician was working out of, and they acted like it was normalThey acted like they were not concerend at all because it appears to me that it happens so muchThen I thought, well at least I will get a $gift cerficate from ADT and get some of my money backWrong!!! That was a scam too because you have to pay them a fee of $to get the gift certificate

ADT billed for me services that they did not provide In October 2015, I called to cancel service I was convinced to stay with the company after being offerred a lower rate and a free re-installation after a remodeling where the keypad had been located They scheduled me for re-installation on November 2nd, 2015, but I called the installer stating that I needed to reschedule because the repairs were not completed on time He said that he would call back in two weeks, but never did I called the number that he gave me three different times over the course of a few weeks, but he never called me back My husband and I decided that if he wasn't going to come install the keypad, we weren't going to sign back up for service Over the course of the year, ADT had been billing my account despite me never having a keypad re-installed I called ADT and spoke with a representative and then a manager (Tyra - employee # XXXXXX) who told me that it was my fault because I never called t

ADT contacted me in January of regarding my account XXXXXXXX for being delinquent in payment I contacted ADT in March of concerning the delinquency in payment and faulty equipment The faulty equipment issue was not resolved therefore I refused to make payment In August of 2015, ADT contacted me again for delinquent payment I agreed to make a final payment because they refused to fix the faulty equipment In January of 2016, ADT contacted me again to make a payment for services they failed to provide ADT should have known the equipment was not working therefore the bill for service was/is invalid ADT continues to send the account to collections for payment I refuse to pay for services not provided after I attempted to rectify the service issue Product_Or_Service: ADT SECURITY SERVICES Account_Number: XXXXXXXX

I am shocked that a company like this can stay in business Six months ago it was installed It has never worked properly - every service appointment is at least weeks out, and they show up maybe half the time We have scheduled service appointment, of which were no-shows You speak to the managers (in all fairness some are nice) but you get contradictory information from each person you speak with, so you deal with a poorly run company that can't even service their poorly performing product This is a company that I'm paying to protect my home? THEY ARE INCOMPTENT AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE IN THE HOME SECURITY BUSINESS

I called for a free quote. Speaking to [redacted] everything went well. Then I was transferred to her manager to give me a better deal. I explained I was calling for quote only and he was persistent and rudely insistent that I book an appointment. When I explained that I was at work and needed to go he became loud and aggressive on the phone and my coworker could hear him as he told me, "he wasn't holding me on the phone I could hang up." So I did.....

We had our personal property stolen and our ADT system failed to activate and record ADT now refuses to allow us to cancel service without penalty We have had ADT Pulse products at our home for over a year and a half We have never had any reason to believe we were not fully protected by these cameras However, in June, both of our vehicles were entered and approximately $of personal property was taken Our ADT camera, which was sold to us a motion-activated camera with night vision, failed to activate and record the thief We know the cameras were working because they recorded us the night before in the driveway at our vehicles and the morning after actually discovering the theft We even have ourselves and the police on camera that same morning with him investigating the vehicles and taking the report The police officer advised us that IF the camera had recorded, they could have posted the video to social media and likely caught the perpetrator Since the camera FAILE
