I moved from my home over a year ago and told ADT I was moving and wanted to cancel my monitoringThey keep saying they are going to cut off service, when if the were really monitoring my system and house they should know that the system is not working and the system is not hooked up.They have been calling and threatening me with a shut down of the monitoring which they should not be hooked up anywayIt has caused me great stress and I already suffer from various health problems like anxiety have known it isn't hooked up for monitoring Account_Number: XXXXXXXXX

We purchased an ADT Security system when we bought our new home in order to keep us safe while in the home and keep our home safe while we were away The sales process was difficult but we wanted the ability to have the security system monitored so it was not just a burglary alarm when at home The system was installed on 9/15/ Today is 11/5/and we just started to notice that connecting to the online app, Pulse, was taking longer than expected We figured it was just being slow and used the keyfob to turn the alarm on and off this week Today, I forgot how to work the fob and tried to use the app but the app would not load at all so I contacted Support In testing, Support determine they could not connect to our system, which also meant that our system was not connecting to the monitoring This means our system is not being monitored This is the first night I am home while my husband is on a business trip, which is why we bought the system and its not being monitored A

I would not recommend ADT to anyone, as a company is only as good as their customer service and integrity I had ADT Pulse for two years and everything was fine until I sold my house and tried to cancelI phoned customer service 06/14/and was told I had two months remaining on my agreement but that they would simply charge me $and that would be the end of it, which I agreed toHowever, they continued charging me the $per month for three more months, at which point I called again 08/31/to ask what's going onI was told that the original customer service rep failed to put accurate notes in the system, so my first call was basically worthlessShe then explained that I could give a new day notice to cancel, which would trigger a fourth $charge, at which point I asked for a supervisorShe was offended that I asked for a supervisor and refused to put someone on the phone, opting instead to file some sort of report and forward it to a problem resolution person insteadA few days later, I was contacted by a local manager who attempted to assist but in the end was powerless because I "signed up through a 3rd party agent for ADT", and therefore all he can do is take a day notice to quit like the last person I had spoken withI have text messages from the local manager, ***, who suggests I take up a claim with my credit card company because apparently no one in his organization has the clout to do the right thing for their customers (my words, not his, but whatever)WOW In summary, this is a business that is happy to take your money but makes it difficult to get out of their service by using incompetent, poorly trained customer service people and managers who don't have enough authority to do what's right when things go wrong

ADT has on numerous occasions billed me erroneously I have been a long-time customer with ADT, first with a wired system and then with a wirelessSince adding the wireless system, I have had nothing but problemsWhen the wireless system was installed, I provided billing information, however, ADT did not properly bill my account, but instead sent me a late notice threatening to stop my service for lack of paymentI resolve this issue only to have moreThe account is set up for automatic withdrawal, but this hit a snag when I received a new card with a chipI called a gave them a new card number, but they continue to try to bill the old oneIn November, I informed them of my intent to move and cancel my service (I am getting married)I thought the issue had been resolved, but I received another late notice as they again tried to bill my old cardThey also did not cancel my service as requestedWhen I called to complain, I got bounced around to several different numbers bef

I received a Voucher for the Home Security system ,with 15pre-wired door or window sensors &$ [redacted] gift card for only $ ($850) valueThe total price would be $I was given a Ref# and the next day the tech from ADT placed equipment in my home and told me to sign his table stating he could not activate the system until I signedHe left a packet saying if we needed help it would be in the packetOn Monday I was going over my Account and found $, drafted from my account the following day $&the next day $ I did not give permission for last two withdrawals I immediately contacted ADT and I was told I must of ordered an upgrade which I assured I did not She informed me that the $was one payment of the (EXTRA EQUIPMENT )I IMFORMED TO COME GET THAT EQUIPMENT ASAP I did not order and the Tech at no time mentioned this to me or my husband I was informed that I would have to sign a form for the removal and pay a 75% chargeI refus

ADT kept pulling money from my account on several occassions even when I told them not toMy Rep said I could cancel within months was told he lied I ordered the service to be started by opening day on January 6thThe product was installed by the installers put the main board in the closet where the water pipes were locatedThe pipes froze and sprayed water on all the equipmentI notified ADT and they came to repair it then notified me that I had to pay to replace the panelI argued with them that their service tech put that panel in the closet knowing that the pipes were in thereThey eventually gave in and paid to replace the panelThen for three weeks in a row ADT pulled money from my account for no reasonI had to go to my bank and challenge each one of the transactions to get my money backADT did not have my permission to take any money out of my account and I told my rep that when I signed onAfter several issues with ADT I had enough and my rep Tom told me that he

Horrible experience with this company since system was installed weeks ago! - Installer didn't properly connect carbon monoxide detectors as a signal wasn't being sent to monitoring station or ADT pulse - Installer didn't provide ADT monitoring our phone number and phone password to call us if an alarm sounded - Technician that was dispatched to trouble shoot carbon monoxide signal didn't put system in test modeADT couldn't call us as installer hadn't provided correct phone # to monitoring stationPolice showed up - Spent hours on phone with ADT and Defender requesting to cancel monitoring contractCustomer service on both sides was useless and they kept point the finger of blame at each otherI was ultimately threatened with collection action if I didn't continue to pay monthly fee for this incompetence Do yourself a favor and find a security firm that is competent, professional and customer serviced orientedADT and Defender are a joke

As a new home owner, I made the mistake of letting myself get talked into buying a home security system by an ADT sales representative who came to my doorI am writing this review in the hope of preventing others from making the same mistake I didThe contract I now find myself in and the monthly payments I will need to make for three years is completely my own fault for making a poor decision as a consumerI have found my ADT service to be over priced and unnecessaryMy advice for new home owners: When an ADT sales representative comes to your house, don't worry yourself over talk of bumper keys and burglaries, different contract options, and taking advantage of the new home owner "deal" before it is too late simply don't answer the door

The customer service is horrible and disrespectfulIf they have managers they can never find one and I have now been waiting days and counting for one to call me back that was suppose to call me back in 24-hoursI have never heard of such a thing especially when they take money they are not authorized to take from my account as a new customer and then tell me they are only going to give me 50% of it back and that could take up to daysWhat the [redacted] kind of program are they runningNot only am I making this complaint here in the open but I will also be filing one with the many others who have filed with the Revdex.comI called times in mins and was hung up on by one agent, transferred to another company when I requested a manager and as previously stated still waiting for a manager to call backThe corporate office doesn't answer their phone so that they do not have to take any responsibilityAbsolutely poor business ethics and customer service!!!!!!!!

I have been a customer of ADT for 11 years. I have been very disappointed in their customer service and alarm response over the last year. My system is not working properly and I have had technicians out multiple times with no success resulting in false alarms. ADT just continues to send out new technicians with no problem solution. In addition a recent alarm resulted in ADT calling the police despite being told not to call the police and a failure to contact the "contact" persons on their list after no answer on the second call. Finally, they hold you hostage with their contracts...in order to terminate service I would have to buy out the contract...13 months at over $500. I do plan to terminate the plan next year and would recommend anyone using this company think twice about it....the company has grown too large, lacks sufficient training of staff (including addressing disabilities such as hearing), and fails to follow their own procedures.

I tried to contract adt as a security for my home, when salesperson came after all the sales pitch we decided to sign the contract, when he was making the appointment I heard for a week and a half later I told him that I wanted it sooner than that he said not to worry, that he just take that date to accommodate later with hes supervisor, bottom line he gave me the run around wasted a week waiting at the end the only available date was the one he got at the beginningdeceitful

The business is run terribly from the sales side of thingsThey attempt to use high-pressure sales tactics and fear to drive you to buy their productThe guy I was talking to literally hung up as soon as he knew I wasn't a sale - not even a "thank you" or "goodbye" to my own "Thanks" Outside of that, they have no tracking whatsoever on their call systemI asked on Friday to not be contacted for a monthBy Tuesday morning, I had been dialed more timesCalled back and asked a second time to not be called for at least a week - the next morning AGAIN! After that person saw the note saying a week, he obliged to not call for a week, but hours later I was back on the phone with ADT To anyone who reads this, don't fall for their pressure to immediately buyThe business is literally based on volume of people who are scared of a brebecause their reps make it sound like you're nextThat doesn't actually fit everyone's situation, so think before you buy

I got overcharged for system transfer in between homes and being the event happe**d on a Saturday and after I called they said they couldn't help after being in contract with adt I called to transfer services and system from o [redacted] home to the other after speaking to the agent about different sensors and how many doors and windows I have I was charged dollars to hold the order and on the date of installation I would be charged dollars I was ok with it got conformation and went along my old system was cancelled and a week later I was charged 530.42dollars for cancellation fees and a overdraft by my bank of dollars I called them and my dollars was refunded and I said what about my overdraft fee that u guys cost me , well ma'am we cant handle that but u can either call, fax, mail, email a copy of your bank statement to the address the provided me and I did mail it in certified mail and got proof they received it here we are week later no response of any sort

ADT IS OVERCHARGING ME FOR ALARM MONITORING SERVICES THAT WERE CANCELLEDTHEY ARE HARASSING ME BY TELEPHONE FOR PAYMENT I DISCONTINUED MY SERVICE WITH ADT ALARM MONITORING SERVICES EFFECTIVE MAY 9, AT THAT TIME I WAS INFORMED THAT ADT CHARGES DAYS PAST THE DATE OF CANCELLATION I TOLD THEM THAT I NEVER AGREED TO THAT AND I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED SERVICE WITH THEM IF I KNEW THAT THAT WAS THEIR POLICY I HAVE REQUESTED FROM ADT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THAT THEY SEND ME A HARD COPY OF ANY AGREEMENT THAT I MAY HAVE SIGNED TO THAT EFFECT ANY I WOULD GLADLY PAY THE REQUESTED BALANCE OF $ I HAVE BEEN REPEATEDLY HARASSED BY TELEPHONE FOR THIS AMOUNT, BUT I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY DOCUMENT FROM THEM INDICATING MY AGREEMENT OF PAYING FOR ONE MONTH OF SERVICE THAT I NEVER RECEIVED THE LAST CALL CAME AT 8AM ON SATURDAY, JULY 2, I DON'T BELIEVE IT IS ETHICAL TO CHARGE CUSTOMERS FOR SERVICES WHICH THEY DON'T RECEIVEMY ACCOUNT NUMBER IS XXXXXXX THE SERVICE WAS PURCHA

ADT has two accounts they are separately billing me on I have contacted them more than six times (each time taking about an hour) and each time they tell me "we found the problem and it is resolved"Then I get a collections bill from themThis started when I updated my system within the last year in late (I have been a customer since with no problems prior to that), The ADT salesman (which opened a new account -He never closed the old account)So I get billed for both accounts for the exact same houseThe ADT salesman was actually a subcontractor (even though I called ADT directly to set it up - they sent out this subcontractorwho wore ADT uniform- a dangerous scam as this guy has now disappeared and and I cannot contact him - and ADT calls it a security service!) This is totally resolvable- one house, one bill, that is all I askStop double billing meWhen I call ADT and they tell me it is resolved, they refuse to send me a confirmation email or letter! Instead they call me at all hours asking why I haven't paid Omg, it is maddening

Misleading and dishonest about account movement and fees I was moving from my location that had adt to my boyfriend'sSince he was getting upgrades as well, Andrew, the sales rep told us that we would be transferring and I wouldn't get charged anything, including a early cancellation feeAfter moving, I broke up with my boyfriend and was told I was off the accountnobody told me I owed ADT and now it went to collections and ruined my credit because of this "good ole boys club" that my ex and this Andrew created

ADT owes me refunds in the amount each even after I called the billing department,they charged my debit account again for $!! I am suprised that adt a company of that size charged me times especially the 2nd time without my consent,does their CEO knows what the employees are doing to their customers ? I want my money refunded to me Immediately and not in ten business days from the date on the original charge
