Took money out of my account without authorization
I agreed to a 30 day free trial. And when I signed up for that I said I would pay 1499 a month. Today they decided to take $179.88 from my account through an ACH. I never authorize this. It was all the money I had and when I asked them to stop the transfer and return the money they gave me the runaround as you’ve read other reviews about selling investment, emptying the accounts that have money in them, etc., they’re not even showing the money that they stole from me! When I try to do like they say, and cancel the subscription the app won’t let me I contact them again tell them that the app won’t let me tell them that I want my money immediately. Tell them that I want to cancel any and all attachment I have company and I’m still getting the runaround after I send them an email that I carbon copied to my bank and to the FTC, they sent me an email saying welcome to Albert and the 1499 would be due in August. These people are ridiculous. They need to shut these people down. This is premeditated financial victimization. I encourage everybody who they’ve taken advantage of to file a complaint with the FTC. Get your bank involved, and if you were following their consumer agreements, make sure you opt out of arbitration so you can take them to court if necessary. Also get more advice from the LSC about the steps you need to take. TELL ANY AND EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP.!
To some people $179.88 is not a lot but they left me with $17 to live off of. I am off work indefinitely due to a severe case of Covid. I have no income I live alone and I have nobody to get my medicines or food for me or loan me money, etc., I am in crisis I have no idea how I’m going to survive. And they have no concern for that. They stopped responding to me and I have the text thread to prove it. I don’t know how they can sleep at night it’s obvious to me, the fact that you cannot get a live person and they can ignore you says they don’t care .
Just return my money that you so easily took. You didn’t have a problem taking it out. What’s the problem with putting it right back? I want my money back I’m not a person that lets this kind of thing go.

Unexpected Charge
I downloaded the app to see what it was all about. I had NO idea that I was signed up for Genius. If they DID disclose it, I have no idea when or how. I saw the AD on Facebook and thought, “let’s check it out!” Nice little functions, like borrowing $25 instantly with a 6 or 7 dollar fee that comes out of your bank a week or two later, (my timing may be a bit off) but I go to purchase my son some skittles today and my card was declined! I knew that couldn’t be right so I go check my bank account and lo and behold, almost $180 was taken out by Albert. I did NOT know they were going to do this or I NEVER would have used it! I’m VERY upset, and having worked in banking for many years, I find this practice shady at BEST. I am requesting a full and immediate refund of the Genius charge and would like to close anything that has to to with Albert. Albert, are you seeing this?

Big Scam
I only went into there site to see and they got my account and took money out and now they said I have to withdraw what ever I have in order for them to refund me but I never ordered anything or got anything and they say I received a card from them. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Abert stole money
Albert Genius has been taking money from my daughters bank acct. She NEVER joined the free trial or gave them her acct #. We cannot figure outhow Albert got the bank acct #. The bank has charge $25 per day fee on top of that because the acct went below 0. Hw can we reach a live person at Albert.com to solve this? We need to know where is that money going ..we need it back! or organnizing class action law suit as there are so many complaints all over the internet if we cannot reach Albert.

Charged me for genuis even though I canceled the trial. Shifty AF. Cancel my account and refund the charge.

How are they allowed to operate?
One of the scummiest companies I've ever dealt with. Sign up for a simple cash advance for gas. Didn't even really get that, somehow a few days later I find out they've switched my direct deposit without my knowledge. If the support team runs out of patience or can't help you, they ghost you.

I am very unsatisfied!
I am very unsatisfied. I was already skeptical about the app because I’ve had money taken from me previously from apps such as this one.. I attempted to transfer money from Albert to chime it never transferred so I texted the genius customer service representative and they asked for a screenshot of my transaction and I sent it now they have stopped talking to me completely. I really hope they are not trying to take my money. Where is my money?!

Ridiculous
have been charged numerous times the pay few months. I have re-download the app and logged into my account to request a refund and cancel my accoun everytime. I never get a response from anyone. This is getting ridiculous by far. Everytime it clears my remaining funds from my account. Luckily I've never had more than 20 bucks in qhen they do take it. Seems the only way they will ever stop this is by have a class action lawsuit against them. Just have to have to amount of people that this happens to request it. Just because you refund a small majority of victims doesn't help or change the fact of when rhe money is taken, what the victims have to go through for that money to be missing. The stress alone of having to find more are having to take the time out of our lives to compensate the loss of funds. In which could have been avoided altogether being negligent with the hope that the victims will just keep brushing being charged off or just missing the charge altogether to fill your pockets. Taking advantage of people's disadvantages is wrong. No excuse for Luering people in with money to take money from them. Where is my money?!?!?!
I was charged TWO $500 atm withdrawals on June 7th from my Albert Card, plus $4 in ATM fees. I did not receive any money from the ATM machine on June 7th as it wouldn't let me, because it said I had already reached my daily limit. And I only tried to withdrawal $300, NOT $500. So now in order to even dispute the two $500 charges I have to freeze my card, losing access to the money I do have left on it. I want my $1000 back! This is my money to pay my MORTGAGE. I didn't receive ANY money out of the ATM yet $1000 has been taken from my account. This needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY or I will take whatever action necessary to get my funds back.

Albert received a direct deposit in the amount of $1042.48 Immediately my debit card stopped working and I was told my account was closed. I was also told another email was attached to my account. I have not been able to get a response as to how I can get my paycheck back. I have already filed a complaint with the B.B.B. and am about to file with FDIC...

My money was refunded in a timely manner

I signed up to albert on 9/16. My card wasn't compatiable for me to get a loan. I tried several times to cancel. I was chatged *** on 10/1.
I signed up for Albert on 9/16. I have tried to cancel Genuis and Albert several times, each time I get an error message. I was charged *** on 10/01/2020. I been trying to cancel since the first day I signed. The text to cancel method is not working and I have screenshots to prove how many times I've tried to cancel. I would like my money refunded and my account cancelled.

They fixed the problem. I appreciate how fast they did it.

I canceled my Albert account in June of 2020, but there is still money being pulled into the Albert savings accounts I created. I'd like it to stop.
I had 3 savings accounts with Albert, but when I canceled my Albert account after withdrawing the money saved in the 3 accounts, Albert is still taking out the set amounts to try and save them. I dont want this to happen anymore, and I would like my money back if that is possible. I did cancel it June 9th, and I have the bank statement to prove when I withdrew all the money Albert was saving. I talked with an Albert assistant about canceling my account, but I do not remember who the assistant was. I'm really hoping you can help me with this, because I don't want to keep paying for a service that I'm no longer using. Thank you for your time.

The resolution I would like is for Albert to stop charging my account, for my account with the Albert app to be terminated, and a refund of the money that Albert has saved since I canceled June 9th. It would be preferable if Albert could delete my account information as well, because I feel uncomfortable with them continuing to have it.

Ms. signed up for the annual subscription and the Savings feature and was charged the first annual fee on 02/26/2020. Ms. subsequently contacted our customer support department for cancellation instructions but after consultation, requested her account be switched to monthly billing. On 03/24/2020, Ms. contacted our customer support department with a question related to her personal finances. No additional communications have been received. Ms. currently has a positive Savings balance which can be withdrawn at any time. Our customer support department is available to provide instructions on withdrawing her current balance as well as closing her account via text at XXX-XX or via email at ***@albert.com.

This company took money out my account without my permission. I had already canceled my account. I just would like my refund and my account closed.
I was charged $77 on 08/04/2020 without my consent. This company has alot of complaints of stealing money from people bank account. They have no number to call to make a complaint.

Had high hopes for this company to help me with saving money, however all they did was take more money without my authorization!! Do Not Sign Up!!!!
On July 24, 2020 Albert took *** out of my account, XXXXXX I believe it the order number. I have had this app for a few months and really enjoyed it because it helped with budgeting, however now this company is trying to say that in May I signed up for a Albert Genesis account which allows making deductions from your checking account. I did not sign up for this, as my budget is supertight, Which is why I got the app in the first place. I woke up to money being taken out of my account without my authorization, I am extremely upset and want the full amount refunded and my account closed. Albert's company makes me lose hope that there's actually apps without some kind of way to trick you and steal your money. I contacted them this morning July 24, 2020 at 7:00 AM. Their website informed me that they will not give refunds in terms of Albert Genesis, however I will file a dispute with my bank if I have to because I never approved this CHARGE! Please I'm warning you do not download this app because they will advertise to you that it is free and before you know it you're signed up for Albert Genesis and it's deducted from your bank account!!!!!

I would also like this business to give a better explanation to future customers so that this doesn't keep happening, and putting financial strain on people who are already struggling with their finances... On 07/15/2020, Ms. requested a *** advance and opted for the *** instant delivery option. As disclosed and acknowledged by Ms., the advance was automatically repaid with her next paycheck on 07/24/2020. Ms. signed up for the free version of the app and has not charged any Genius subscription fees.
