The customer was quoted over the phone, the customer was quoted an hourly rate of $129. The move was 4.5 hours. I have gone over all charges and there are no errors. The customer can call 866-941-1849 to file a claim for damages, below are the charges.  Labor Charge$580.50Minimum Labor Charge$0.00Fuel Charge$85.14Travel Time Charge$129.00Packing Materials$35.50Specialty Items$0.00Additional Charge$0.00Storage$0.00Credit Card fee$0.00Total Charges$830.14Payment$830.14I apologize that the consumer did not understand the charges, we audited the move and everything is correct.

Good afternoon, I am sorry to hear about your recent move with us and I apologize it did not go well. I would like to offer you a settlement of $200.00 for the table.

The refund for the deposit has been issued to the credit card ending in [redacted] for $100.00

The information that was provided to us over the phone by the customer did not indicate that the customer would have many more good than a 26 foot truck which can hold up to 2200 sq ft. My understanding is that the movers are doing a great job with the move, they have even rearrange the truck to try...

to fit more in, the customer did not indicate they had a fully furnished basement, we are sorry it all wont fit, we are dependent on the customer answering all questions we ask to prep for a move.

This customer was originally scheduled for last Friday.  When we attempted to confirm the move, she told us she wasn’t sure if she would be able to move on Friday and asked us to call her Wednesday.  We tried to call Wednesday and Thursday and got no response.  So we did not schedule...

her for Friday.  She finally called us back on Friday morning.  At that point we changed the day to Saturday.  We ended up sending 2 men instead of 3 as one called in sick.  We adjusted the rate to the 2 man rate.  The move took 5.5 hours which considering she had a multi-story townhouse with an additional stop on the way to destination.  She keeps referring to 3 hours which is what the minimum would have been.  The packing materials she is referring to are the standard tape, shrinkwrap and mattress bags.  Thanks.

Good afternoon, we are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations during your relocation with us. The maximum we can refund is 20% of the cost of the move. I would like to extend the maximum refund to you, thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: There was no effort to work with me, return calls, pick up boxes or follow through of any type. I see no reason for compassion or understanding and feel this is a fair  settlement. Maybe next time you will follow through on your commitments and respond to your client calls.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
Good Afternoon,   The quote was over the phone and no attempt was made to give an estimate and/or full quote. No mention of the 15-minute increment policy. There was lots of confusion and misleading information as to the dollar amount represented. I find it incredulous that you somehow blame us for being confused with your quote. I agree that moving is stressful and your company increased the stress two-fold. You arrived without the proper supplies after being called on Tuesday to confirm, then delayed the move by 2 hours.  You also charged us for new material when the products supplied were from another job. Finally, we were held hostage for a payment before your men would place our belongings in the house. We made several attempts to rectify the situation and were promised the following: 1)      A return call from the manager (promised 4 times) 2)      A credit for used supplies (never received) 3)      A pickup for the boxes. (no response, made arrangements with another company for removal of boxes) Overall, a disappointing effort with management style and technique. No return calls, held hostage for payment and the attempt to re-sell materials. I suggest a payment of $500.00 which is $60.00 above your quote of $330.00 - $440.00. Have a nice day
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Thank you, I have submitted for your check to be cut.

I've already contacted your customer support department at [redacted] on 6 different...

occasions and have talked with [redacted] and [redacted], both of whom are unwilling to assist.  I've called that number 6 times in the past month.  They are stating that I'm only entitled to $180 of the $2,224 dollars worth of damage that was done to my furniture.  This dollar amount is not sufficient. My claim number is [redacted].
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
$150.00 does not cover the cost of a repair. I have attached an estimate which would be $312.50 before tax. With the $0.60 per pound of the damaged item that is in our signed agreement which would come to a total of $300.00 would put me very close to being able to cover the total amount of the repair for the items that the movers have damaged. I have also attached the BOL signed saying that the carrier is liable for damage to any shipment is $0.60 per pound per article- a sectional is one article. I do not feel that I should be out anything additional but since we have agreed to the $0.60 per pound terms I will cover the remaining on the repair.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
