I am rejecting this response until the check is actually receivedAs of today I do not have a refund check I have been told on four different occasions that a check was being mailedNot to mention the numerous hours I have spent dealing with the issue to follow up on the status of the checkI’m appalled at the complete lack of willingness to resolve this issue and would never recommend or use Safelite for any services in the futureA customer should not have to call a business establishment over time and wait on hold for over an hour or more each time to obtain a refund due to a faulty repair.

I’m very sorry that the moldings weren’t replaced when we installed the back glass on your Toyota PriusIt must be very frustrating to have to wait several weeks for the parts to arriveIn most cases parts arrive in no more than a week after being ordered from the dealer In checking with the Safelite location that has the parts on order, we have an expected arrival date of May 12, for the moldingsAs soon as the parts arrive and are checked for accuracy, you will be contacted by the Safelite shop to arrange a time to install the moldings Again, I apologize that the moldings haven’t yet arrived at the Safelite locationIf you haven’t been contacted by May 13, 2016; please feel free to reach out to our Executive Service team at ###-###-#### or the Safelite location at ###-###-#### and we will provide you with an updated ETA for the parts

A Senior manager from Safelite called us in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and they have agreed and scheduled a warranty replacement of our windshield and find the resolution is satisfactory to me I sincerely appreciate that Safelite was able to make contact and understand our dilemma and resolve the issue Regards, [redacted]

I do not accept this response I am not pleased with this glass or the work performed by this company all I would like is a refund on the money and to take the glass back it is not the right fit for my truck anyway I have replaced it already with new glass and have theirs sitting inside I feel as if I have not been treated properly and need this refund Regards, [redacted] ***

Dear Mr [redacted] , I’m very sorry that our attempt to repair the windshield of your brand new Jeep Wrangler wasn’t successfulWhile we do have a very high success rate with our repairs, there is no way to determine how the already damaged glass will react to the repair processIn some cases, the attempt to repair a windshield can result in the chip or crack becoming larger, and we are not responsible for such damageThe outcome of a repair is affected by many factors, including but not limited to: - The age of the damage - The size and location of the damage on the windshield - Glass is a sensitive and unpredictable material In speaking with the Safelite location manager, I was advised of some details provided by the technicianWhen the technician arrived you weren’t availableShe contacted you and let you know about the repair process and what risks were involvedShe also documented the paperwork stating that she advised you of the possibility that the damage may get larger or crack outYou were offered a replacement price that included a $discount, however you stated that the price was too highYou stated that you wanted Safelite to replace the windshield for freeWhen the manager stated that we wouldn’t be able to do that, the conversation turned negative and when the call was over there was no agreement reachedI have included a copy of our full warranty and a copy of the technician’s paperworkIf you are still in need of a windshield replacement and would like to accept our previous offer, please feel free to contact us and schedule an appointment

Dear Mr [redacted] ,I’m very sorry that we weren’t able to replace the windshield of your [redacted] RAVI reviewed the notes we have on file regarding this and contacted the local management team to get more insightThe store manager stated he did speak with you on our technician’s phone and explained our policy on rust and why we couldn’t complete the job.According to the technician and the store manager, the amount of body rust was more than what we consider to be safe to replace the windshield without repairs by a body shopSafelite will not knowingly perform an installation that we believe to be unsafeIf there is rust in the pinchweld and installation area the urethane that holds the windshield in place will not adhere properly to the rusted metalIf the rust issue isn’t addressed properly, the rusting will continue to progressThe likelihood of water leaks will increase and the seal around the windshield may fail if it has nothing solid to adhere to.Regarding the hardware, the technician and store manager advised that the technician didn’t take any hardware with himAs far as the inspection sticker, they can’t be transferred from the damaged windshield to the new windshield so you would need to replace that even if it was on the discarded broken windshield.Again, I regret that we weren’t able to safely replace your windshieldWe don’t have any hardware or any other property that belongs to youTherefore, we have nothing to return to you

I am rejecting this response because:I disagree that your technicians are the best trained, as customer service is non-existentWhy would the technician crack the windshield further but not say anything about it and leave without discussing it? This demeanor is evidence that his training is subparWith your "policy" your technician could come straight to us and advise us of further issuesHe did notDo you train your technicians to not communicate to the customer? In that case maybe you do have the best trained techniciansSame goes for your company, why is this the first time I am heading from your company after first communicating a month ago? Takes a month for your company to respond? Everything is evident that your company severely lacks in customer serviceAgain, if your technician would communicate about the issues this wouldn't be a problem, but he simply did a subpar repair attempt, did more damage and tried to skate by by not owning up to itThis is shady business practice Regards, [redacted] ***

Dear Mr [redacted] ,I'm very sorry that we weren't able to replace the windshields in your vehicles for youIf a technician sees rust around the installation area, he generally won't proceed with any work unless the shop manager states to move forwardIf some rust is seen before the technician removes the windshield, there is likely more rust underneathIf there is significant or perforating rust in the installation area of a vehicle, a safe installation can't be performed until the rust is removed professionallyIf that rust isn't located until after the windshield is removed, the technician will not be able to reinstall the old windshield nor would he be able to install the new windshieldThe vehicle would be left without a windshield at all and would need to be towed to a body shop.If you would like a second opinion about the rust, please feel free to bring the vehicles into our Safelite location in Valley View, Ohio during business hours for a manager to inspect itIf you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact that location directly or our Executive Service team at ###-###-####

Thank you for getting resolution for this issue I received a check from Safelite yesterday that will cover the cost of repairs to my vehicle I still would NOT recommend this company for work, I had poor experiences with two different shops in two different states, both shops caused significant damage to my brand new truck, which tells me that none of their "technicians" are properly trained

I reviewed the response made by Safelite Auto Glass in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and I'm very disappointed with your decision? Safety is first and foremost for my family, ? therefore we need to have the side curtain airbag inspected due to the fact that it was the source of the water leak? See Attachments? Also, I will have diagnostic testing performed on the service engine lamp? If ? the testing results indicate hidden-water damage, I will demand reimbursement from Safelite for the damages due to the improper installation? ? ? Regards, [redacted]
